Spent some time scratching around here, but eventually the sand flies drove me away. Despite the very direct hint I came up empty on this one.
We were enjoying following in Team Welsh's footsteps and scoring on some of their DNFs, but this one proved to be the exception.
After a good deal of prickly inspection we had to declare defeat.
Quirky little church perched up here on the green green hillside.
Will watch and see what becomes of this one. It eluded us.

Doing some new caches in this area and some side roads. We have been to this church some years ago, our son was drummer in a music group at the time, approx 20 years ago. Thanks for this cache.
Had to get this one while in the area orienteering. Had a lovely long weekend with friends who live at the end of West road.

A MEGA Adventure
Both Nova Lightning and myself had set ourselves caching targets that we were hoping to meet in time for the NZMEGA in a few weeks. So with a plan in progress and fuel in the tank away we set.
Departed home at 6pm Friday, returned home 3.30pm Monday, 7 hours sleep approx 470 caches and a great adventure.
Thanks to all those that have placed caches especially Skindo as I think we gave his caches a bit of a nudge
Thanks for a great weekend of Caching and Bull.

Mega Weekend
It all started about a month ago when Cats&Dragons brought up the idea of heading down the line to collect 350+ caches. We both had targets that we wanted to meet before attending the NZ Mega. Plans and locations were drawn up and puzzles were begun to be solved. It took me a while to get my head around a few of the puzzles and with the help of a cacher I was soon on a roll.
The weekend finally came and we departed Hamilton at 6pm on a Friday night. 3days, 2,000km, & 11hrs sleep, later 472 caches collected. Thanks to all those who's caches I found especially Skindo with a huge number laid.

cache #30 (for me) of day one of Etherlord and the Seagnoid's almost-100-cache-"Attack on Skindo's Puzzles" weekend in the Wairarapa.
Skindo: 25
Others: 5
resorted to the hint after encountering the !@#$%^& holly!
the dry leaves around the tree were worse than the live ones on the branches!

Out in the Wairarapa with Etherlord on an Attack on Skindo's Translation Puzzles weekend.
I avoid using the hint (and didn't need it this time) andso i occasionally geet into problems. GZ for me was the holly bush. And the dry leaves on the ground caused bloody knees and ouchy hands. On the plus side, I had been looking for my very own granknott and found one in this cache. Yay!

A nice little church perched up on a hill!
Didn't take too long to track the cache down.
Left a pet rock - a koala. TFTC

The churches around here seem to have quite steep entrances.
Took me a while to spot this sneaky little cache.
Thanks.

Thanks.
Despite the helpful clue, I didn't go straight to the right place to find this cache. I soon sorted things out though.
I managed to get the formalities completed wiythout any blood letting. A nice little church - thanks for bringing me here to see it. TFTC
Stopped in on way south,Took a few prickly minutes to find , but found in the end.signed log TFTC
Ow, ow and ow!
Afterwards, we had a look at the cemetery, lots of interesting headstones with stories to tell.

One of us had trouble locating the cache, so the other went to help and spotted it immediately. Thought this church was rather plain. Interesting seeing the great variety of churches in the Wairarapa. TFTC.

Found on a day out caching in the region with Cadhakla & Emvy_us, always enjoy these lovely old country churches. And good to see it's still being used for what it was intended for, albeit seldom. TFTC
Another find on our successful "Wairarapa hundy cache tour" - one hundred cache finds in a day - with Waiiti20 and cadhakla. Needed to hunt a little harder for this one and the find made up for additional scratches sustained! TFTC
Tempted to ring the bell to see who would come, but then a muggle turned up anyway. The others kept her distracted long enough for me to not find the cache until we went deeper (after getting braver)
A quick find while on a caching expedition in the area today. Made good use of heavy leather work gloves to avoid death by a thousand spikes as I searched amongst all the dead holly leaves on the ground. Signed log, TFTC!
What a lovely old church! Would never have been there if not for the cache there. Cool bell.
Well, they don't need a gardener now! Plenty of pricks and scraps on the way to finding this one but oh the satisfaction. Was originally searching in the wrong place. TFTC
Found this cache while I was over in the Wairarapa doing some caches and also checking on my cache. No issues here as it could only be in one spot. Was a bit of a prickly retrieval as I reached for the cache and managed to get a few sharp prickly things in my hand. Nice church that I have being pass a few times when I placed a cache further up the road. Another nice little church, thanks for bringing me to this spot again, TFTC TNLNSL (2655)
I tryed very hard not to get spike by the bushes, but managed to anyway. Road busy with truck movement around the area. Nice little church. TFTC
First of four Mauriceville finds while escaping the in-laws again.
Had to say a few prayers as a flock of nosey sheep and many nasty holly leaves hindered my search but finally got my 'Amen'.

The first time I've made it to Mauriceville, so good to see a little of the community here. The church was all quiet today, so an easy find. The container was a bit exposed, so hid it a little better.

#232 - Dejavu - we'd been here before. A brisk, but spikey retrieve!!! The bell still works, and the church door was open... very immaculate on the inside! SL TFTC.
I was a bit surpised to see I was the 3TF on this one. But not surprised to find a small plastic screw top jar. Lordy Lordy, how many more have you got lying around. keep em coming I say. SL TFTC
Have been out this way a few times now chasing caches so know the area well. Nice quick and easy find. NINO TFTC
