I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi bumandworker
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

We should have checked the previous logs first, then we wouldn't have wasted our time looking for this one.
New owners found it buried a while ago - she can’t remember where she put it!
Popped out to overcome spot of cabin fever. Wondered why this cache had not been found for ten months. Still no idea as it was a straight forward find.
Added a replacement Rite-in-the-Rain log as this one is fairly munted and delaminating. TFTC

We just had to find this cache as we couldn’t believe it is outside where we are staying! Brilliant, many thanks for setting this cache up and TFTC
Enjoying the night here so would be rude not to grab this cache!
Great experience and hosts!

What an experience it has been caching in Kaikoura, every way you turned it was either mountain or sea scenery. We learnt so much abour the earthquake you had here last year,

I'd seen this cool factory on my tiki tour around Kaikoura and today I decided to stop in on my way back to the office. I fumbled around for a while trying to find the cache in the tussock (luckily no one was around) and then I read the description and saw the clue. Doh! A very quick find after that. Tftc.
In the area and it was a really rainy windy day. We did a bit of earthquake tourism and headed north to the end of the road. On the way back did a bit of 'poke your nose'. Had a look here and there and scored a cache or two. Headed back to Kaikoura for a cuppa and another visit to the awesome museum.
Quick find here.
Thanks for the cache bumandworker.

Sorry for the late log, I have just found a list of found caches that we had not logged. We had driven up the road to see how far we could get. We thought we would take a different road back towards town, so picked this one up along the way. TFTC
From Melbourne and doing a tiki tour of the South Island after visiting family in Nelson. Grabbing a few caches on our travels. TFTC.
Wonderful location. Wonderful garden and house. Thank you for showing. Greetings from Germany.
Enjoyed this little drive, to a place we wouldn't have gone to. The hint was very helpful and needed on private property. Thanks.
Its the 3 Feb 2018 and The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are on a 3 day adventure of Kaikoura. After our mammoth walk up Seaview Valley Track, we move Zara to Hapuka Rail yards for the night. Still early, so come on Toby, lets go exploring!!
Hey I remember this place - yes there is my log from our last trip August 2016.
Its the Seagnoids Birthday this weekend (August 2016) so Zara, the Seagnoid & I are off discovering Kaikoura. We get an early start with the Seagnoid getting off work early at lunch time. Great trip down and we start caching around Hapuku.
Quick stop here to hunt amongst the grasses for me to grab this one on our way past. Cheers

After an impromptu night stay in Kaikoura, I spent today finding as many caches as I could and doing a bit of exploring, before continuing on to Christchurch. Hidden gem, thanks for bringing me out this way. TFTC (3053)
Went on a big adventure with Wafflekitties and geo pups, had a blast thanks for the memories! TFTC.
Found while on holiday in the South Island with LCBuilder and our two geodogs. We spent 3 weeks travelling down the east coast and then up the west coast, moving to a different campsite each night. We got a few geocaches along our way; our best day was 41 and our worst was 6 we saw a lot of awesome sights and will definitely have to come back one day!
Quick find, luckily no one was around, TFTC!

With a few more days of holidays left we decided to head south again and find some caches we didn't have time to look for last week, plus some more off the beaten track. This was one of 51 found today.
Thank you to all CO's who made this possible.
Thank you to all CO's who made this possible.
Our recent multi day Canterbury cache raid was so successful we decided to have another one before the holidays finished. Again we got stabbed, prodded, pricked and scraped by the variety of hedges the region is so famous for. And of course we can now hold our breath a lot longer. A skill well worth developing to avoid breathing in part of the road surface every time a vehicle passes. Just over 200 finds were logged this time and a great time was had finding the caches with a variety of shapes, sizes and placements. A big thank you to all COs who made this possible.
Nice walk on our holiday in NZ. We stayed in awatena b&b. 2 km walk. Tftc from holland

Quick find, bt of water in the container ut log all good, dried out as best I could. TFTC.
The original plan for this Waitangi Day was to climb up Mount Patriarch after a tramping and biking combo. The talk for most of the week had been around the assumption that Friday was that, then I was going to head down the line to Kaikoura on the Saturday and come back on the Sunday.
The best laid plans of mice and men and all that.
Dry conditions and this weeks fires along North Bank Road have led to it being closed to traffic for the next few days so new plans must be made. Couldn't really sit around doing nothing with a day off and no plan could I?
Spoke to G H 6 7 1 0 and hew was keen for a day trip down the line to Kaikoura as long as we got back today ready for wedding anniversary tomorrow, no worries. I plugged in 76 caches into the G P S ; 5 from four caches and 71 from b&w, seriously. I enjoy finding caches at the end of the day and all the ones we found today were well maintained; one was even duplicated, more on that later.
The weather was a cool, strong Southerly breeze after rain in the night cooled things down a little and snow appeared atop the higher Nelson ranges and the Kaikoura Ranges too, looked good though.

A nice classic old building and a Q E F too

We had planned a caching trip to Mt Patriach today, but with a large fire up the Onamalutu and the road closed, plans had to change. Capperz and I decided to head to Kaikoura and clear up some areas just off the main road that he hadn't managed to get to yet. We had some light rain overnight, and the day dawned calm and cold helping those getting the fire under control. There was also a light dusting of snow on the tops of nearby hills, from around 1400m up. We headed south, caching along the way and filling up the map with yellow smiles. There was a strong southerly blowing along the coast, with rough seas and cooler temperature. Many miles covered, many caches found and a very good day out exploring. Nice to see the quality of this building and the care taken in maintaining it. Quick easy find here, all in order.

[green] An awesome weekend caching to and fro Kaikoura, on a strangely empty State Highway 1. But two things marred it - one: I could only do a two day weekend, despite that this is a three day weekend - I suddenly got dumped with a ton of homework and I better do some study. And two: Someone smashed a side window on the car and stole the sleeping bag. So this weekend is going to be a lot more expensive than I had bargained for . Still... 120 caches! That will be a weekend record for me. And just about every cache between Blenheim and Kaikoura converted to yellow smilies. Lots of walking, sunburn, dust. Big smiley on my face even if not in my pocket! Took me all day to get to Kaikoura from Blenheim yesterday, on my way back today.
Most dairy factories are derelict reminders of bygone times, before the big corporations and insulated milk tankers. This one isn't, which is not surprising, given its new lease on life, and looks AMAZING!!
Gets a favourite!

A not so quick detour as the Nuvi tried to take us down the wrong road so we had to back track to the main highway.
A quick find and sign once we got to GZ. The lights around the cabbage tree looked pretty in the dark.

This is a trip I did from Christchurch to Picton today with the main purpose to find 50 caches that each are 1 km apart so as to complete a part of a challenge I want to complete.
A nice little village.
Cheers for the cache.

A beautiful old building and we are sure there is a lot of history around the place. Got muggled by another cacher, so a joyned effort in retrieving the cache. TFTC
Dropped of one Geocoin which we had far too long. Maybe there is a nice BBQ recipe for crayfish (or lobster for our American friends) as this area is well known for excellent crayfish.

Found 1 hint and thought ohhh cache gone but a little bit more of a search and found it. Interesting piece of history. TFTC
What a lovely piece of history! Beautiful location too! Quick easy find. TFTC
Found early in the morning with louz1nz, while staying with some friends down the road now newly introduced to geocacheing, lovely place with a cool history. Tftc guys also need new logbook
Really nice to see an old building like this in good repair and put to use.
We struggled a bit with the find as we hadn't read the cache page properly. After rereading, we realised where we should be looking and there was the cache.
Thanks for bringing me here.

#5313. An interesting bit of history. Quiet at GZ today, but we still felt conspicuous and were having no luck finding the cache. Eventually I read the cache description properly and then realised it told me exactly where to look. Doh! TFTC.
It was well worth the short detour to see this historic and photogenic old dairy factory, and so well maintained. Thanks for bringing us here and another favourite added.

Well it took me a few 'couple of steps' to get the right spot. Then had a quick walk on this fascinating beach. Thanks for bringing us down here
They've done this up beautifully and it would be a very quiet place to stay. It made for an interesting detour off the main route. TFTC
A wee side trip off the highway brought us to this interesting building and a disgruntled cat that had been lying on the cache . I wonder what it would be like to live here? Apart from foggy, which it was today . They've done a very good job of maintaining the character of the building. TFTC, bumandworker. =^.^=
Quick easy find in the dusk. Worried about the proximity of what could be muggle central but was fortunately closed at the time.
Beautiful building which we wouldn't have seen if there wasn't a cache here. TFTC!
Haha I let justanurse jump out to retrieve this and the owners turned up just as she was looking. Lol very awkward for her. Maybe not even the owners.
Had to stand at the drive way like an idiot while a car drove up and then had to wait for someone to get bike of car lol tftc love the old factory
4402. The second cache find on the fourth day of our six day geocaching tour around Hanmer and Kaikoura in our campervan. Parked just down the road and then was in and out very quickly. Probably wasn't even spotted. Didn't realise that all this area existed off the main road. Thanks, Rodney and Iris.
Nice stop for the cache on another fine day geocaching in the south island. Good short side trip. SL TFTC
First to look for as we headed north. We sidetracked to this one and found an interesting area. No vacancies today either. Mrs SoBad was just returnng the cache when a car drove up - not sure if they were owners or guests but they seemed to recognise a GPS holder standing im that place and she got a smile and wave. Thanks.
After having driven past this on the main highway many times over the last year or so I was determined to hunt it down today! A pleasant diversion and a very nicely restored building, a credit to the owners. Cache was a quick find - signed log, TFTC!
What a magnificent refurbishment job. Amazing what people can do wirh these old buildings TFTC.
In Kaikoura for an overnight stay. An adventure slightly north to investigate seals and waterfalls afforded a quick sneak at this location. Mighty nice - what a cool we place. Can only imagine the internal conversion - it's got 5 stars! Nice. Quick find by the wee dude. Thanks.
Quick hunt, we started out looking in the wrong spot but quickly resolved our error.
A quick cache after we departed our stay at the nearby Hapuku Lodge. The sun was alreay hot early in the morning. Lovely old building. TFTC
What a lovely place! One day we'll return and take a tour of the building. TFTC.
Charming! TFTC.

Followed the mailman down the road to this one. No one about, not a sign of life even though it was 10am.
Great spot and fantastic building. All full tonight and cache easily found. TFTC
Very well restored ! Really impressed with the lovely site, thanks for sharing with us.
