As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Fellow Cachers, I'm sorry that the rebuild is taking a while, but the box is a complex construction. I will make every effort to have this one back up and running within the next 3 weeks.

22-Jan-12
Thanks for the update, just nice to know what is going on. Enjoy your trip Smile

22-Jan-12
Sorry everyone, temporarily disabling this one. The Secret Box is no longer at GZ.

I will rebuild over the next few weeks

14-Jan-12
With no response to a call for maintenance perhaps archiving is an option if not interested in looking after or even checking up on this one.

14-Jan-12
Dear Cachers, I note one DNF, I am currently on vacation and will check cache on my return.Hopefully the cache has not been destroyed...

11-Dec-11
With Fangsoki and Gaz'n'Kab today and we bumped into some local cachers that were showing visitors around the sport in the area. They told us the cache was missing, and we gave it a quick look to confirm.

23-Oct-11
I went straight for the key and spent a lot of time looking in more awkward spots than where the key actually was. Once found went back to find the GZ. Finally found the "box" and gained access.

Cache is on good nick considering its environs. TFTC.

21-Oct-11
Found today with Aussiemates. What a great cache container. We had to wait for someone else to move on before we could search but it was worth the wait.

21-Oct-11
Thanks for the puzzle. We approached GZ but someone was lurking with GPS on hip so we continued on down the path. We were able to locate the "key" without too much trouble (even before finding the container). Continued on to (not) find another cache further down the path. All was clear on our return. I located the container and Mrs Goodlookerz used her skills to open the Secret Box. Very impressive set up. Thanks

08-Sep-11
Found the box Smile and tried this and that and then the other way [?] thought some more, even trying swearing at it [B)] still no luck. Sad A big rock would work Twisted
went and found the key and discovered the trick Big Grin

07-Aug-11
Our new baby daughter Lucy had her first caching experience. Photo shows her logging the cache after Mum, Dad and Aunty figured out how to open it. Thanks for a clever cache, Andrew , Maryan and Lucy. Found with Flerdle.

07-Aug-11
Very clever puzzle! Found with aandm after a short stroll. Solved by Andrew, eventually! Lucy seemed quite overcome by it all. Tftc.

02-Jul-11
963 - Found the cache first and then the key, the key taking a few minutes but using the hint found it after a bit of a search at 1:37pm. A great idea for a multi! The park was all quiet this afternoon. We could see the level the creek had reached in the recent floods. Thanks for the cache rendam, we liked it.

19-Jun-11
This is a really nice park. Found the key easily but had to choose moment for the box as a lot of walkers about TFTC

12-Jun-11
Got to this one and hardly anyone around except a muggle on a mobile phone sitting quite close to GZ. We sat nearby and chatted loudly until he decided we were annoying and left. Had a bit of a play with this one then went off to search for key. Unfortunately we never found key but worked out the secret without it. No force needed. Great cache container. TFTC.

22-May-11
Easy find as part of the cache was visible. Sat on the bank, thought gravity, got it right the first time, so easy quick open as well, with no need to look for the key.
Replaced with better cammo. TNLN SL TFTC.

05-Apr-11
Found by Sunshine Toledo at 1:10pm. Found the cache then had to find the key to get it open; then it was quite easy. TFTC

26-Feb-11
Found this one in between cyclists and skateboarders. Sat on the creek bank and fiddled for a while before I had it open. Cute arrangement. Steph from BCC found it on the 11th February and said to have fun. I guess it was she who broke it. Your tax dollars - working for you Big Grin. TN/LN/SL.

21-Feb-11
Repaired and ready to go

12-Feb-11
Thanks to Brisbane City Council for breaking the Secret Box locking mechanism. The cache is temporarily disabled for repair.

11-Feb-11
at 13:41. We found the lock broken and didn't have any glue. Someone, not a geocacher but from the BCC, had written a note in the log earlier today. The note was friendly but it may well have been them that broke it by forcing it open.

TFTC Rendam. We liked the idea and were disappointed not to have the puzzle to solve .

10-Feb-11
It is broken. See our log.

15-Jan-11
Found the box and opened quickly without the key. Nice and dry all things considered with recent floods. Put a couple more rocks around as a bit exposed. Great cache container. TFTC

12-Jan-11
Checked in to make sure that the Secret Box had survived the raging Cabbage Creek. Glad to report that the cache is safe dry and in order and waiting for a finder.

01-Jan-11
With morning rain I had all but given up on trying to crack a new year cache today but the rain eased off and the leave pass was granted to do a quickie before dinner.Razz I came in off View Street and took in the roaring but great sounds of fast flowing water cascading through under the bridge. The Secret box was soon in hand but would not let go of the way in to log the find. Off to the WP - oh no the creek has been high around these parts GZ I hope the key has not gone, looked and looked, back to the box, still no sucess. Time to widen the search - oh that looks promising - at last the secret box was mine.Big Grin

Thanks for the introduction to this little secret spot on the creek [^]

04-Dec-10
I really enjoyed this one, kudos to rendam Big Grin The Marble and I decided to try it without the key, but with the hint, and it didn't take us all that long before we had the log book in hand. It being a rainy kind of day, there were no muggles or prying eyes anywhere, which made this a nice, comfortable find. TFTC!! ='.'=

04-Dec-10
Worked out the cache's secret to opening it, signed the log and replaced the cache before the next shower of rain. TFTC

28-Nov-10
Found with Bedmaker. Very clever cache, enjoyed doing this one very much.
This was a lovely area teaming with wildlife. At the short time we were there we came across a water and mother duck with her little ducklings.
TFTC

28-Nov-10
Found with TassieGirl13, we arrived and I jumped down a couple of rocks to get a start point.
It was then that TG said 'I've got it". well done.
We sat and pondered over the little box for a while and thought about what the key might be.
Decided to find the key anyway and well we where half right.
Love the idea and an enjoyable novel cache to do.

Very very clever cache .... One of the best. Left a hippo, Took a trackable. Thanks for the caching experience rendam!!!

08-Nov-10
It is hard to resist a cache by a bike track [^]
So on my bike ride around the nor'west this morning I wobbled along to find the first waypoint that isn't a waypoint unless you make it a waypoint Wink
Surveyors had set up a tripod a few metres away and I thought this search might not happen [:o]
But it was only a reflecting prism and the actual survey crew were about 80 metres away mucking around with something else mounted on a tripod Razz

My geological training paid dividends here and thanks to the clue I soon spotted the secret hiding place Wink
There is a comfy rock right next to the cache on which to sit and retrieve the box and open it.
Free from the curious stares of passing dog walkers and joggers Smile

After 15 minutes of trying to work out the secrets of the box the rock was no less comfy, the surveyors were still surveying and numerous muggles didn't care what I was up to Big Grin
My frustration levels were rising though [:(!]
That [red]red[/red] dot had to mean something !!

Suddenly !! Success and the logbook was mine to sine Big Grin
TFTC.

Cute !! [:X]

I retrieved the Juventus Travel Slug TB and left the DNF duo geocoin as bait Big Grin

PS: Gravity is a force.... Wink

08-Nov-10
Good observation IF, about gravity being a force, I have amended the the hint to take this fact into account- thanks for pointing this out.

04-Nov-10
Brilliant Concept, found on a Georun. Looking forward to the next creek series cache!

TFTC

Left The Juventus Travel Slug.

Decided to tackle this one after work. I did not have my regular GPSr and the HTC phone does not cut the mustard. Thankfully, for this one, I was pointed straight to the cache. Sat down for a little with said box and examined it. Tried for about 20 minutes - and then finally.. bingo! I suppose I could have used "the key" but I was determined Razz Very clever little design, Rendam - TFTC Smile Cache and box is in good condition. Reset the lock a-okay.

31-Oct-10
Picked this one up after placing a new cache in the area!
Great concept! Cracked this one without the key!
Thanks for the cache! Looking forward to the next release!

31-Oct-10

A most enjoyable stroll through the area this morning and an interesting cache to boot.

Nicely constructed Smile

Thanks...always good to see something different and to see hiders putting something extra into their caches. Keep up the good work Smile

First cache of the day on this wonderful halloween!! Yes I was dressed up in my cape Wink. And what a fantastic cache!!! After puzzling over the box for a while, we searched out the key and -doh!!-. Very very very well done, loved it and such a clever idea!! Thanks rendam [^]Big Grin

I didn't trust myself to be able to open the secret box so I headed straight to the key waypoint first. After discovering the key I started the search for the cache and was lucky to find it very quickly. I'm glad I had the key as I would have puzzled over the box for quite a while and probably been defeated. It's nice to see something a little bit different. TFTC

This one had been listed for over half an hour before I noticed it, so not much chance for *FTF* I thought. Took a while to find the box and then I realised that I wasn't smart enough to open it without the key. That took a bit longer to find as gps kept me on the hop. Eventually opened the box and was signing the log when sprung by another cacher. After a brief chat he wandered off to allow me to rehide the "box". A well planned and constructed cache. Thanks

A cache within easy strolling distance from home, that's service! I use this stretch of pathway frequently walking or pedalling, and often with geodog coincidentally named in honour of GC15HBZ Wink.

Found one Mr Co. hard at work signing the log (Howdy), who kindly rehid the cache for my a-while-later search Smile. The area can get busy quickly at times but it was mostly quiet today and the cache open after a medium search for the components. SL. No swaps. Thanks Rendam, great to see, fun to do, and well put together. Smile

What do you know, you spend the morning painting a room and by the afternoon, there are 2 new caches close to home!
With the paint washed out of my hair, and after my failure at a nearby cache, geoson and I had a pleasant walk along the creek to get this one.

We found the key easily and moved down about to look for the cache. While geoson threw rocks into the water, I searched, and searched and searched. After about 20min I phones K8'n'Co for some guidance, and the the phone rang out, I saw the hidey hole Red Face. Clearly my geology leave a lot to be desired.

The cache is absolutely brilliant, the locking mechanism is very clever! Smile

I had no problems using the "key" to open it. Looking inside I was amazed at it's construction, well done.

Thanks for a great hide, looking forward to the next Big Grin
