Ok H&T... I see it now... Why I couldn't before is a mystery Hoped over to this one with a few spare hours of light after work. I didn't wave since I assumed you were already left for the day and over at Bifrost
We were with "The Evans Family" and found this one. Nice hide, two of us looked at it and thought "na that's not it", but alias, one of the children realised that we were wrong and they quickly pointed this out to us. I think that it needs a new paper in it as this was very moist. We all waved, did you see us???
11.40am, GAFF2, we ended up taking the long way around to get this one where we didn't need to.
After a stroll through the bush and a few creek crossings we arrived at GZ.
It did not take long to find something that did not look quite right
SL, cache in good condition.

I can't believe I found this cache. I got within 5 metres of gz and had no idea where to start. Decided to start turning everything over and what luck it was the first thing I touched! Geodogs loved bush bashing it and crossing the creek 3 times only to realised we didn't have to. SL #123

This cache is like finding a needle in a haystack when using a iphone ,tftc.
Unfortunately not today. Left eTrex in car and didn't read any info before reaching the GZ. iPhone didn't cut it. Read hint after 15mins of searching and then description about the same amount of time later.. lol. Had spent a bit of time thinking incorrectly. Very intrigued by this one will be back soon..
Found of the day! I beleive is the first nano I found in a florest!! I was in a smoking break when i turn on the GPS and realise that this one was only 80m way... Looking to the landscape and the size of the cache i become a litlle worried wondering, how the hell is possible to find a nano in here!!! but the hint help a lot and did the found in 5m....

A bit of a wet day today with light rain. Still managed to get some good caches located. Soon had this one found - good hide. SL TFTC

Coordinates were spot on but I stood there for a while trying to work out where it could be. It didn't help that I misread the hint (I also didn't read the instructions so tried initially from the wrong street!)
After getting 2 kids across the creek in the rain and using an iPhone in the clouds we were going to give up until geo daughter aged 8 found cache. Very clever!!
GPS took a while to increase accuracy, when it was within 5 metres we thought about the hide and started looking, soon had CIH. TFTC

No sign of the CO today, but I did see the balcony.
I surprised myself with a quick find, only to be stymied by the hard to open cache container, got there in the end though, thanks H & T.

Found after a short search. Magnetic nano in the bush confused us for a while but once we thought laterally the cache was soon in hand. Thanks for the cache.
saltus venari was transferred from extremepc to user Hammerman & Trixter
Finally worked up the courage to hit p an extremepc cache, sadly didn't work out this time. I checked a variety of things but being on a strict time limit today will have to leave it
Approaching from Middleton Ave, I got to see the entirety of this park, including the guy with the chainsaw collecting firewood. After stumbling around for a bit, I stumbled upon 4dxplr clan. After much group searching, Mrs 4dxplr had success! Log full so we took a picture.
Geomum wins the find on this one....very sneaky hide....watch out for those bully ants one bit geohusband & it hurt.....TFTC
Found easily enough , cache lid was pretty hard to unscrew and log was full.
Cheers

No luck with this cache - a nano in the bush only leaves a few possibilities and none of them produced the goods.
Would only come back if given some help as this area is pretty trashed. That said it is within my immediate range and will remain "a burr in my saddle bag" until found:)

Been here before with no success and decided to come back and found pretty quick.
Was within 3 metres of gps co-ords.
Log was full but found a small spot to sign.

Here's the thing - we have no pafs and two kids, which means we find something in two to three minutes or walk away. So we gave this a couple of minutes. But a nano in a bush setting, with reported coordinate inaccuracies of up to 10 metres, giving us potentially a few hundred metres square to search meant this was never going to happen. Thanks anyway, Mike.
Wandered into this urban wasteland and quickly found the cache. The coords were slightly off...7-8 metres. Nice camo. SL TFTC
I found the shortest way in and then started looking without moving much at all. After a while I searched a little more closely and bingo, I had it in hand! The coordinates put me a short distance away from GZ. Nice camo. Reminds me of another cache TFTC
Wandered in on a balmy Sunday evening. Lots of rabbits were freaked out by my presence. Poked around for a bit with no joy, saw checked the hint. A minute late I had the cache in hand. Log was full, but still managed to make a mark.
How do the houses round here go in wet weather? Do the suffer from flooding??
Thanks for bringing me here.

The GPS Gods were smiling today. After taking me through bunny central and the plastic pallet retirement village, delivered to within a metre of GZ. Log is now full. TFTC.

After visiting the local Toyota dealership (a new Camry does look very nice indeed) I had some time up my sleeve so decided to give this one another go. This was my second visit to the area. As I walked toward GZ many bunnies went scampering off down their burrows. My GPSr led me to the same GZ as before. Having read the previous logs where an error of 10m was mentioned, I decided to start my search in a circle between 5 and 15 metres away from my GZ. I began heading in an anti-clockwise direction checking every object around. Having almost completed a 360° search, I finally had that "AHA" moment that all Geocachers love!! There in front of me was the sneaky little nano. With great satisfaction I extracted the log and signed it. After grabbing some photos for the album, the cache was returned and I was on my way with a smile on my face. Thanks team_extreme for a truly challenging cache.

Aha! Foiled once before so tried again and success at last - this sure was a sneaky little critter and like everyone else says, very cleverly hidden! TFTC
Decided to go for this "hunt through woody mountain" during lunchtime. Fortunately, I had a good read of the previous logs and hint, and a change of clothes. Entered via White Cedar Drive and found myself having to cross the creek. Got to the GZ and eventually found it. Clever. My GPS was out by a good 10 meters. Also copped a bite on the foot from a LARGE bull ant. Serves me right for wearing sandles! Got lost on the way out, thinking I needed to cross the creek again, but found the easy way out towards Facer Cct. TFTC!
Our first failure - we gave up after 30 minutes of searching and a bullant bite, but we'll be back again. Obviously we need to read through the logs and see what can click before we go back to try again!
I had my doubts about this cache. Many non-finders had remarked 'A nano in the bush - talk about insane'. I ignored their advice and decided to have a go. After fifteen minutes I was starting to feel the same way. I read through the logs of previous finders and suddenly something lit in my brain. I resumed my search in earnest and within two minutes I had it in my hand. Tricky little devil.
Boiling hot, no cache, scratches on my legs, not happy! Will I ever find this elusive cache?

Almost gave up then tried just one more search and there it was.

perhaps it was just the sat's today. TFTC.

Yay! finally found my mates cache!! damn clever hiding spot!! Being a Rabbitohs supporter i felt right at home with all the bunnies running about... must have counted about 20-30 of them... TFTC!
After studying the map I saw a likely way in and so it proved. The rabbits are doing extremely well around here. Found the cache surprisingly quickly as I was initially scratching my head. Thanks team_extremepc.
My turn to log a DNF on this one. I thought I'd venture to find this cache on a weekend rather than during the week when workers might be watching out the windows. I also remembered the old addage..... don't make assumptions. You see I expected a lush, green, dense bushland and that's not what I found. I, too, saw many rabbits as I journeyed to GZ. A neighbour was having a Sunday afternoon BBQ with a few friends and I did feel quite conspicuous being there (although I don't think they noticed me.) OK...where to find a magnetic nano in a bushland area. I searched for about 15 minutes and was feeling quite frustrated being here. I don't think I was in the right frame of mind for this one so decided to leave and come back when it's cooler and I have more inclination to search. I'm looking forward to converting this to a smiley in the near future..... stay tuned!!
Ratbag 1 was thrilled he found this one after 10 minutes of looking, hardest part was getting the top off

Nope, no luck with this one today, and by previous logs, we were very close.

Thanks for the hide.
Thanks for the hide.
well i have to say, its certainly a well-constructed camo!!! finally found the little blighter after about 20mins of searching ^_^ last cache of the day before the afternoon storm hit! thanks for the challenge =)
From the end of Facer Court we entered the degraded bush, scaring off some rabbits. Can't believe how many rabbits there are in Sydney now! Bring back the myxo! Also a large water dragon jumped into a drain and dashed up the pipe. Across the dry land and towards GZ we noted the 'cairns' that had appeared. It's a funny bit of bush with strange materials dumped in places and views of the industry on one side and housing on the other. I think the people in those houses must wonder what all the excitement is about. The ants were all at home and weren't being a nuisance. We eliminated the various possibilities and then geoson made the find. A neat idea which reminds of some other caches but not exactly. The log will fill up quickly at this rate. Thanks!
Three of us searching for at least 30 mins with no luck. I think that we looked under and in everything we could find. Might have to venture back again with a little more experience.
This must be karma pay back on me!! Nanos in the bush are much easier to place than to find.!!
Some kind cacher has piled up the stones in the area, it looks like a little mining site. However, these piles were of no assistance at all to me. I had to look for quite a while, with the provided hint all the time playing in my head. Well eventually, either by good luck or my expert skills (the former I'd suspect) the cache was located and log signed.
Great spot, yes a little rubbish about but it looks like it is being cleaned up. Saw plenty a rabbits jumping around!!

When I saw that a 'magnetic nano in the bush' had been placed in Castle Hill, not far from my place of work, I knew I've have to have a go -- and wondered if I'd live to regret the seemingly impossible challenge. I even speculated as to whether it was really 'sporting' to set up such a cache!
Well, after having had quite an interesting time on my lunch hour today, I can certainly confirm that it's a nano (you can forget about the magnetic part) and it's certainly in the bush. My rusty Latin gave me 'Forest Hunt' and so it was. I used the Facer Court entrance to Cockayne Reserve but the White Cedar Drive 'main entry' will do just as well. You only have to find the right trail to GZ, and trial-and-error will get you to the appropriate scene eventually, even if you have to do a bit of bush bashing.
I guess this isn't the most inspiring bushland reserve around, but we should probably be thankful that it exists at all. There's a bit of rubbish about but not as much as in some similar areas. There are in fact a lot of ants -- a lot of ants. I don't think they're very happy about their area being used as a geocache site.
I don't want to give away too many secrets, but when the CO rules out plants and animals, you can either search your pockets and those of your friends, or try the only other alternative! And don't think that the nano is simply 'thrown out' into the leave litter and mulch and God-knows-what. This is a properly constructed cache -- quite a clever one, in fact. I'd say that it's like the love child of 'TECIS' and 'It's Too Hard, Darling.'
Anyhow, the coordinates were pretty accurate in the end, although the tree cover will play constant games with your satellite reception. Cache container was in good shape and the log scroll was dry.
Thanks, team_extremepc! If you were watching out of your office window, I trust I gave you 35 minutes of entertainment! But it was fun and rewarding in the end and much more memorable than more tupperware under a rock.

Nano in the bush..that's just evil we were here for a while searching for this one too, about 15 minutes into our search steveishere turned up with keen young geo kid eye's to help him. With 5 sets of eye's now looking for the cache it was only a matter of time.
We searched quite a wide area convinced that the coords must be off, I was concerned about the way we found the area when we arrived to, it looked like a herd of elephants have been through here, broken fauna. disturbed areas at the base of trees, every rock had been turned over for 15 metres in any direction, fortunately the coords are quite accurate and we got the cache in the end.
I think it is in the areas best interests if the owner can put a small hint up there to help reduce the amount of poking around people tend to do in places like this, that said I was most impressed with the work that has gone into the hide, and actually not a bad spot for a cache. Shame about the crates and other refuse laying about but otherwise nice work, My accomplice unleashed a small army of Bulljoes close to GZ so future searchers beware!
Thanks for the cache

Very sneaky little nano. The 'Magnetic' part in the description had me stumped, a little misleading I feel. GPS was 4m from GZ, not sure if its been moved a little. Called upon help from steveishere with some hints, and on retracing my steps, BAM there the little biugger was. Great spot, well done. SL.
After seeing this one on the lap top last night at 10.30pm, i thought we might go for a bit of a trip and try to find the cache before anyone else.
Looking high and low, being eaten alive, looking for anything.
Using both the magallan and the car navman, and finding the magallan was sending us around in circles, and the car navman had us sitting right on top of the cache.
11.30pm, we had our find. It was a FTF woohoo =)
But i think we spent more time getting the log out of the cache and putting it back in then we did trying to find it.
Did Love the location of the cache, something new to us.
Thanks for the Find.
