I could imagine this one could be a little harder during peak hour. At around 2:30am it's a little less busy, I think I might have see two cars pass while at GZ and hiding from them was a breeze. I found the brother of this one on my last visit when the mega was on so I figured I best find this one today.
Nothing out of the ordinary to report at this hide today, all in good order.

Parked up by 'give way sign' and wandered over to GZ and soon had the cache in hand. Signed and returned as found. TFTC Everlasting
Back in Stanthorpe for a few days to clean up after Mega, where we spent most of the time on the Apples.
Nice easy find - at night you can hide from oncoming headlights quite easily!

These caches we did at night, by the power of led lenser ! Our first night in town and just having a feel of the caches, doing 20 in 2 hours of night caching, not too bad after a 10 hour drive to get here , all caches are in good nic and easy finds , thanx so much to the placer's , top stuff
Found at 2:09:00 PM, staying in Stanthorpe for a couple of days and grabbing a few caches before continuing on our way North to escape Wagga's winter. We started the Granite Belt Bike Trail this morning and soon realised that if we were going to have any chance of completing it in one day we would need a bit more horsepower so we swapped the bikes for the Geomobile. We grabbed this one while doing the bike trail.

What a great region this is! We have spent the last few days enjoying the scenery, the attractions, and also the caches.
Thank you to the COs of all of these caches for their diligence and thoughtfulness in giving visitors to this region a vast number of little (and not so little) gems to discover and the opportunity to see so much countryside which quite possibly could never have been seen except to a very select number of passers-by.

I headed to GZ while geopartner parked the geomobile.
Dodging traffic, I snared the cache and then had to find somewhere to hide to sign the cache.
Managed to sign at back of sign facing sign.
A quick wait between traffic and the cache was back in place.

This was the last day before heading home after spending time at the QLD MEGA Event in Stanthorpe.
The weather was perfect and a 1/2 day of caching was being attempted.
Found the cache very quickly - all those muggles in the cars driving past - I wonder what they think when they see people at this place especially on this Easter weekend TFTC

The mega is over and its time to go home so doing a few caches on the way, thanks to all the CO's who helped make this event possible

I am having a tour of the area today and knocking over a few caches with seirra1 and AussieScouter. We are staying at the Mega, which has been an awesome experience.
Today we visited a winery, hotel (for lunch) and Jamworks (we bought some yummy jam) and completed the Elementary series, some of the bike trail and many other local caches.

We spent the day exploring Stanthorpe and its surrounding area. So many wonderful caches have been placed showing us spots we wouldn't normally have travelled to. A great day spent geocaching with our friends from this side of the country. Thanks to all who provided these caches for us to find.

Bit of a sad day today, being the last day of the Queensland 2015 Mega Event. Many cachers are already packing up and heading home. Not us though - we have another day to fill in, hoping to find as many of the unfound caches around the Stanthorpe area as we can. Couldn't leave this one behind, especially since the CO is one of my favourite geocachers Thanks for the smiley Everlasting
After attending the QLD Mega we decided to make today a day of caching between Tenterfield and Stanthorpe. Weather was fantastic but highway was very busy - luckily most of our time was spent on the lovely country roads. About every 3rd or 4th cache we would run into other Mega cachers. Great to see variety, creative and a few tricky caches. Thanks to all the C.O.'s.

We saw awesome places, weather was good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and huge country!

Day 3 of our trip to the Qld Mega and still very wet and cold. A quick find and log duly signed with misschief18, B/dale Bandits and Bentley TB

10 in a day was my caching priority for the day. The day had begun before sunrise with a mega attendance heading south from Stanthorpe for a multi, a letterbox, a trad, and then back into town for a lab cache and a puzzle before breakfast. During the day there was a CITO, an Earthcache and an event plus a beautiful lunch at the TAFE college overlooking their vineyard and lake with the town beyond that. Then there was the flashmob event and that left about 2 hours to find the wherigo cache before heading down to pyramid road for dinner and a concert. Tough day but some-one has to do it.
And then there were a dozen or so other caches along the way and this was one of them. Enjoying the sunshine today.

As a cacher from Hong Kong, we don't have a chance to admire this beautiful view very often. This cache represented "we were here", this is a lovely cache that reminded me this year we attended the oz mega. Tftcsl!Greetings from Hong Kong

Found while we were out caching today while at the mega event for the weekend. This is a great area to explore. TFTC.
Out and about grabbing some caches while attending the QLD MEGA at Stanthorpe. We managed to find a variety of caches in some very interesting locations, this was one of them.

Pull up, quick find, quick pic - well we are in a hurry about to do Reviewers Panel at Mega and then a 4x4 takes a shortcut, ok we have had our entertainment. Now back to Mega. TFTC
Day three at the MEGA, and T-Tech and I teamed up with Nurseyjulie. I have solved all the Stan's Apple and Elementary puzzles (with help from various friends), and they were my main targets for the weekend. Today we set out to hunt down as many of the Stan's Apple puzzles as possible today. We found Stan's Apple 5,6,7,9,10,13,14,16,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,31,33 and 34, another Puzzle, 8 Lab caches and 11 Traditional caches [^]
Nurseyjulie had left us to go for a swim elsewhere, so T-Tech and I began to make our way back to camp, but of course there's a few more caches to get along the way Last one for the day, and a quick find here. TFTC, Everlasting.

Visiting QLD from Central Coast NSW, and attending the Stanthorpe MEGA EVENT for about a week. Camping at the showground, caching days done mainly with SpikeyMikey, meeting up with members of CCG, HAVOC, and others from all over Australia.
Many thanks to all responsible for a smooth operating event, my first Mega, and first visit to Stanthorpe. Plenty of reasons for a near future visit
Whilest it did rain and drizzle almost every day, I much preferred this over hot days, which is what I encounted on the Gold Coast return journey, as well as a repeated bout of coughing with the flu on the long drive home.

The most difficult and dangerous part of this was crossing the road with all the traffic seemingly in a great hurry to get somewhere else TFTC Everlasting

This cache was found at 21:33 on 4 April 2015 and is my 1087th Geocache. This find was part of my Mega Long Easter Weekend... 'Why Mega?', you might ask. Well, the answer is easy, The QLD Mega Event - http://coord.info/GC4X31B in Stanthorpe!
This Event something that I have been waiting for for over a year now. Now that it is here, it is time to get our Mega Geocaching Geek on!
'South of Stanthorpe' was grabbed at night by mtill17 and I as we made our way through the many, many Geocaches that Stanthorpe has to offer. Nothing beats country towns, National Parks and the occasional Geocache along the way.

MEGA was on so decided it might be a good idea to find some caches. "Some" ended up turning into a few hundred... the most exhausting experience.
Started in the city and pooh corner, ended up leaving a little late for Stanthorpe. Fun weekend, managed to get pushed into swimming across water a few times and finishing off some rum.
