Cacheowner hasn't been online for a year. Has only found 4 caches and hide only 1......so no maintenance can be expected.
We have looked with 2 of us for a while....but no cache here

Wish I could give a favourite point for this DNF. I had a ball. Done as a night cache, but even a torch didn't help me.
Had a good poke around the cave, but no luck... based on previous two logs, I'd assume it's been muggled
No luck for me today. Had a good poke around the 'cave' but no caches to be seen.
Great cache to do!
Easy find, not too easy to get in there, glad I'm not that old -;)
Replaced logbook and bag, container not suitable unless you place it upside down in its cover.
All good , thanks!

Well hidden. at first I thought that the cache was a peice of litter as it was in a muddy bag and I was on the lookout for a purple container. But a nice walk and nice hide. TFTC
Long walk down to this one (and a loonnggeerr walk back up!). Mr Nalawod attempted this one, but once down at GZ decided that it might not be wise with his 50+ year old legs trying to get into this. Not a good look if he ruined his trou, either. Needed to bring a junior cacher.
My last find of the night thanks to the ridiculously high tides this evening. I kept my feet dry after taking the hike down the hill. The hunt wasn't too hard, but when I found the cache I discovered that the log is now pulp. I took a picture for the CO if they want proof of the visit. It's a nice hiding spot. TFTC!
The log book is saturated and is turning to mush. It needs replacement. I also recommend replacing the container with one with watertight seals.
I had to detour around this one initially as a group of college students were reliving their simian ancestry by climbing around in the tree. So I swung off hand over hand to the next cache up the beach and returned to find the tree vacant. A quick search and the cache was in hand; however, the log book was too wet to sign. I think this one needs a more waterproof box and new log book. Great spot though.
#331, didn't like it in here at all. was pleased to find it. log very wet, had to sign a leaf instead. TFTC
Quick find while fishing nearby
Cache damp, log likewise, but useable.
Log is getting full.
Great spot, and a fun scramble at gz.

Very nice hiding place! Not so much if you don't like bugs though! Didnt take too long to find! TFTC
Don't usually find a purple cache container, took some crawling about, but nice little bay to explore. Little damp but surviving.
Was in the area, so decided to grab this one also along the way.
Wow, finding a park was hard!! I think one of the houses was having a party of such. But luckily one person was just leaving as I came, which meant I got a spot... but, wow this was a test of my driving ability! Parallel parking, behind a BMW, on a hill... great... luckily I managed it without too much trouble, and getting out too! I love the tiny size of my little car!
So, went for the cache, and I had no idea that it was here where they signed the treaty?! I thought it was in Waitangi?? Wow. Found the cave soon enough, and was then exploring. Went right in, and was perplexed... then, on my way out, I practically tripped on it! I think the rain washed it out, and it was about to fall out of the cave... but then I found a pencil under it?? Dunno. Placed it back in a safer spot, under leaf cover, and emailed the owner with where I put it. Is a bit damp though... logsheet may need replacing soon, but it's fine for now.
Had a crack up at the muggles who accidentally found it's log there! It's so lost... haha

This was the last stop before lunch and the kids of the team were told "no cache, no lunch" so the pressure was on. They came up trumps as usual and the next stop was the bakery for a refuel to continue on with an afternoon's caching. Thanks for the fun.
Second cache for this hot and sunny but with a nice off shore breeze, day. Our first visit to Karaka Bay, surprisingly interesting place with lots of arty stuff going on, a couple of house parties, and a few people on the beach enjoying sun worshiping. Oh, and even one swimmer braving the choppy water!
Such a cool tree! The cache was pretty well hidden, not so easy for someone of my age and in-flexibility to get to. The previous finder was not a cacher, and had found it accidentally, leaving a nice comment in the log, and a spare smoke to share with the next finder. As we don't smoke, we have left it for the next next finder
TFTC, one of our favourites!

Found it, what a great location, my son loved finding it. Ideal for small children to find !!
After many year's living in Auckland and having seen the bay from the Tamaki River many times, first actual visit to the bay.
Cache was found full of soil, buried well down the beach with some contents back up in the cave.
Managed to clean out the case, find the missing parts and reinstall,so hopefully all good again now.

Find #813. The 2nd on a late afternoon/early evening outing to grab a few more caches in the local area where we were staying on our 4 day Auckland holiday. We decided to explore Karaka Bay a bit. We drove down to the parking and proceeded down the zig-zagged path to the beach and the Pohutukawa Tree.
There was quite a blustery easterly, but luckily the tide was out - which was one less thing to worry about. We were initially rather hesitant about attempting this cache, but it wasn't as bad as we figured and with the aid of a torch to shine some light on the situation, the cache was soon found and retrieved. SL TFTC.

Was here to look at the Waka that is supposed to be here in the run up to Rugby World Cup. Easy find this time - was out in the open so have rehidden it.
Quick and easy find. Great little walk to here and nice beach. Thanks for the cache. Did with agcnz on a weekend caching spree.
Found fairly quickly with Crystal Fairy on an afternoon's caching in the area. Interesting area, love these big pohutukawa trees at the water's edge. Signed log, TFTC.
I was off eastwards today for a hunt for caches. There were a lot of cars parked at the end of the road. All belonging to the residents????
Found the cave and then finally looked in the right place for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.

Out for an early morning paddle and this was in passing. Agree with the last log - an empty bottle placed right where one might expect to find a cache.
Cheers, M@

Found a parking spot this time and now one on the beach.
Quick find and a nice warm up before going to the Round the Bays run this morning.
Nice beach.

We have been down these steps before in search of a cache which has now been archived. When we arrive at GZ there were plenty of muggles taking in a few rays but they did not appear to be interested in our activities. After a short search soon discovered the hidden cache. As mentioned in earlier logs there was a bit of rubbish at GZ so we were happy to leave. Nice little beach area which is obviously popular with the locals.TFTC
Drove past after the TT Flashmob event, ran down the hill but there were 2 muggles relaxing at GZ.
Will try again.

quick find using clue, rather than GPS as coords would have us swimming! not a pleasant place at the moment- ,lots of litter and had to dodge doggy doo-doos, to reach the cache. nice beach though. dropped off German coin took jeep TB TFTC
Quick find but wasnt enjoying who else I was sharing the cave with. T4TC. Dropped TB.
Another lovely geocaching day! Found this cache after a quite a lot of crawling around!. SL Thanks for setting it up.

Got here at 7am - great time to be here with the sun just at the right angle for the required illumination. The cache was in a place within too easy reach and had obviously slipped so I put it back somehere much harder T4TC - love this bay!
Didnt realise the other cache here had gone. This is a very cool bay with great history. Had to wait for some small muggles to move on. Lovely spot. TFTC
Met Yugeo4 at the site who had just completed, so they had a good laugh while I attempted.

5259 There's a Karaka cave here... had just managed to rehide the cache before Sp8sm8 muggled us , TFTC.
More like a Did not Attempt as I was in my work clothes. Not too sure about this spot as there is evidence of recent cave ins (rubble on the "cave" floor). There is also a few tons of tree right above your head which could cave in?
Had my eye on this since the 11th. Since several days past without a second person adding their name to the log sheet I thought I might try for a STF. However, a sick toddler put my geocaching on hold for a few days and Troutfly was able to nab it. Heading out this evening I thought I might have a chance at third. However, signing the log revealed that I would have to settle for another fourth. I have to agree with the warning about GZ being potentially dangerous. It isn't really a cave but an opening in the earth, so there is potential for collapse. Searching in the dark with only torch light was a little claustrophobic. Probably seems a lot safer in the daylight!
Nice walk down to the beach, but you have to ask yourself why anyone would want to live here? What a mission just to go and collect a pint of milk from the dairy! Quick find. TB drop. Thanks.
3rd of 3 FTFs this evening. Was initially thinking I'd have to give this one away - Cautiously crawled half into the "cave" but couldn't see anything, so retreated. Safety could be an issue here, don't know if more of the dirt bank could come down. Anyway, from the entrance had another search around with the torch, and then voila, it was spotted. The container was open and a marble had fallen out, so the container may have fallen to that spot. In any case, I made a quick dash in and out to sign the log, and replaced it where I found it. TFTC!!!
