Thanks for all the visits, and I hope it was an interesting puzzle to solve. The cache has been removed.
I've been making an effort recently to clear out the caches around the Wellington harbour as we spend so much time around here. I had never looked at this series, but wished I had earlier as they are very enjoyable.
Made quick work of the glyphs yesterday lunchtime and knew immediately where to find the next information. So swung by late last night and that led me to a very quiet GZ this morning.
Cache in good condition, but as with most other previous finders, no clues for the final bonus cache so will be messaging CO once I've picked up the other one.
Thanks ADV!

An interesting puzzle and a new location not previously visited All dry and in good nick Thanks very much ADV for the trip
Using my extensive knowledge of ancient egypt and the power of the sun god I was able to deduce the location of this ancient artefact. Found the scroll and added my etchings. Thanks for the puzzle and thanks for the cache. Now off to see the pyramids.
It's all Greek to me! Cool puzzle, thanks ADV. No bits of paper or anything written to lead to final cache though.
I decrypted and solved the first part many moons ago, and wandered down one lunchtime to follow instructions. Was not until today that I was in the area for the final, so I took the opportunity to grab it.
Given that this hasn't been found for over six months, it is in good condition. Unfortunately, I forgot to search for the extra information . I did enjoy this, so it still gets a fave point from me.

#1045. I had looked at this puzzle months ago and decided it was a bit complicated. Had another look at it last weekend and it seemed a bit more solvable this time with more experience of caching puzzles. Spent a bit of time learning the foreign language and tweaking the results to get some information that made sense. Mrs GSEL made the breakthrough by spotting something in the paper that fitted with the new information. So I left work early yesterday to check the site of interest and gather some information for todays hunt. All the relevant information was available on site. Today I went for a stroll at lunchtime and quickly spotted the hiding place and a nice dry cache. Signed the log with no one around fortunately. No scrolls of paper were present so will need to get one of those off the CO some stage. TFTC and interesting puzzle.
In Wellington for the weekend, visiting the AirNZ exhibition and the 2 Gallipoli and WW1 exhibitions - and decided to secure a few caches.
Needed to solve a D4 puzzle and this one intrigued me! No issues with the first piece of the puzzle as one of our own puzzles using similar code.
The second piece of the puzzle turned out to be a lot harder for us out of towners. Thought we knew straight away where it was and even found the "item with a appropriate number of items" on it!!
Had to go back and regroup, do some further research, before gaining an "AH HA" moment!
From that point onwards, all pretty straightforward, including the securing of the final cache.
Now, for the second one!

Really enjoyed solving this puzzle, and completing the different stages. A quick find today at the obvious spot, on a lovely autumn morning. Great view! This was day six of a planned 10-day mystery streak. I broke the Pharoah's Curse yesterday, so it would be nice to get the info needed from this one to enable me to reach the Top of the Pyramid. Cheers and TFTC
#252. Interesting puzzle, learnt a bit about an ancient language, and fun to solve. I like the fact the cache find itself was not too hard, once all the work had been done. Tftp&c.
A great puzzle.
I worked it out with the help of nanag and Pat, and today I found it easily.
But alas, no paper slips with directions to next in series.
Thanks.

Very nicely put together puzzle.
Finally able to get this one sorted and a nice easy find at a place I used to visit often many years ago for rugby practise.
No slips of paper as already noted but a friend helped with the required numbers to locate the bonus

A most enjoyable puzzle and deserving of a fav point! Solved the first step in L.A. and then located the co-ords yesterday but dismayed to find that it was too far to walk before the ship left. Then, when back on board, found that we were staying another day due to bad weather on the South Island. So battled the wind and the rain this morning and logged the find!! Thanks for an excellent puzzle and hide. Left a TB for the next finder.
Had solved the puzzle 3 years ago when in Wellington but didn't manage the walk to the cache spot so delighted to find it this time. Lovely sunny day for a walk after sitting all day. easy find but no pieces of paper left to help solve Top of the Pyramid!! TFTC
Solved the puzzle a couple of nights ago, got to the waypoint in the pouring rain yesterday and being a little surprised at the direction the GPSr was telling us to take, decided on a rain check. In the dry of home, double checked everything and feeling more confident that things were right, went off to GZ today where the cache was quickly discovered very exposed but in good condition. Left it a little more covered. Not sure if we will be able to complete the series not having the extra information that used to be in the cache. TFTC
That was something different!
Easy location once decoded. Lunchtime run; had to pretend to do some strideouts next door while the area de-muggled.

Nice puzzle, didn't find it too hard and as I am very familiar with that part of Wellington it was pretty obvious where to find the final answers to give the cache co-ordinates. Then in another luunch hour I went to find the cache, which was a nice easy find on a nice fine sunny day at a muggle-free location. Gets a favourite point.
Solved the puzzle easily enough and took advantage of a nice afternoon to seek the cache. No mysterious slips of paper lie within, though.
(606) In Wellington for the day, so decided to grab some caches while in the area. Thanks for the puzzle cache. Good solid walk from town to collect this one.
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
We were in Wellington for an extra long weekend and started to play around with this puzzle one evening. We soon deciphered the message and knew what it was referring to, so we called in today to work out the 2nd part of the puzzle. Once we had worked out the co-ordinates for the final, we then made our way there, where we quickly found the cache! Thanks for the neat puzzle and the cache!

Found the coordinates for this a long time ago (sometime last year...!) and managed to log today - it's a nice feeling to finally tick this one off. Thanks
Solved some time ago and an opportunity to finish this one off today.
Cache find was straightforward, cache in order; log signed, safely re-hidden.
No information available in the cache for the final. Hoping we can access alternatively please.

Quick solve a while back, then forgot about it! oops! I can report the cache is exactly where It should be, despite a bit of apparent tidying up near GZ. Only thing missing was the additional info needed for the final. Please, Pretty Please? TFTC.
Solved this a while back, and was passing through the area today, so collected the cache after a very brief search. Unfortunately the cache was missing the information which I need to add to the information gathered during the week to find the final cache. TFTC.
We had solved the hieroglyphic element to this cache prior to our visit to Wellington. With an Egyptian structure located and calculations now complete, we made the mistake of walking to the GZ. Can I say that it seemed like a good idea at the time. Fortunately, once at the GZ we soon had the cache container in hand. We signed the log and appreciated the walk back to the city knowing that gravity was now on our side. Thanks ADV for this challenging and fun cache.
Thought I had figured out the method to solve puzzle straight away. After spending some time trying to make things fit, I realised I wasn't as clever as I thought. The right method was actually much more simple. A quick detour after my lunchtime run and I had the secondary information in hand. And a quick detour on the way home and I made the find. As previously mentioned, there are no paper slips left. TFTC.
Had spent some time with a geo-kid working out the puzzle many moons ago.
Figured we might finally be heading past this way today, so made sure I had the co-ords with me.
Easy enough find for the geo-kids whle Mum & Dad waited on the path.

Another enjoyable puzzle that needed a good amount of research and a similar amount of lateral thinking to solve. I found the final without difficulty but forgot to look for the additional information needed to help with the next stage of the quest. I'll be back.
Nice puzzle, had a false start after google lead me astray (is this possible?), but got there eventually.
Didn't even know that the final location existed!
Quickly found, although now there is a prickly guardian!

Solved sometime ago but had to wait to be in the area for a cache visit. No slips in cache. TFTP Great fun.
Took a look in view of some recent developments, second stage is now easily accessible without the earlier possible hindrances, there was one item that was in the way a little bit but it shouldn't obstruct you at all from getting what you need. Anybody's guess about what happens in the future though!
After looking more closely at the cache I realised its solvability was within my capability, so sorted out the solution some time ago. Completed paperwork tonight after finding cache exposed with some of the contents scattereed about. Unfortunatley there were no slips of paper for me to take. TFTC, a favourite.
The information I referred to below is apparently partially incorrect, the issue is in fact still there though to a lesser degree.
However I tested out whether it would still be possible to do the second stage and had no difficulty going to the source without any interference.
However I tested out whether it would still be possible to do the second stage and had no difficulty going to the source without any interference.
Ignore previous note (now deleted) and my intention to notify the owner, the issue will be very shortlived so not worth bothering about.
Had looked at this previously with no success, but decided to look at a few puzzle caches the other night, and had everything sorted on this one within a few minutes! Enjoyed the walk to the cache today - a nice spot and I haven't been here before. TFTC
Worked out what the problem was, I had an error in translating four critical characters which meant I did not have the information to obtain the correct figures to solve the coordinates of the final. Maybe Moses too got his characters wrong and that is how he managed to spend 40 years in the wilderness?
Approached this from the top and found that probably owing to some work that has gone on in the area there is an extremely slippery area part way between the top and the Gz, and at GZ itself resulting from material that is lying on the ground. I almost gave up for safety reasons but then saw that I was within a pace or two from where the cache was, fortunately there was a little bit of good footing for one foot where the cache was and I held on tightly with one hand to the hint object in case the other foot slipped while I grabbed the cache with the other hand! There was a very long way down below with little to break a fall.
I was unable to assess the possibility of an approach from below because it was starting to get dark and some muggle slaves had parked their chariot to do some work at the base of the pyramid, but from what I saw from above I suspect the lower approach would have been even more risky or impossible. I would definitely not attempt this at night at present, even with a torch or headlight it would be difficult to see what is good footing and what would cause you to go for a slide.
No slips of paper in the cache and hopefully I will need the information soon as I have solved how to do the companion cache, just a matter of getting a chance to attempt the find.
Took the travel bug to help it on its eastward journey, and some other trackables visited.
TFTC, nice to clock up a D4 (with hopefully the others in the series to come!) and thanks also for the interesting background and exercise in interpretation.

Solved the puzzle awhile ago and only got to pick it up this morning. Clever puzzle (very pleased to be able to solve it!) & tftc.
Solved! I really enjoyed this one, as I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could decode the puzzle off the top of my head, even 15 years after studying hieroglyphics at uni. Now to crack the other two caches in this series! Took TB. TFTC!
Solved the puzzle last week and finally had the oportunity to complete the find. A very well constructed and enjoyable puzzle.

We found the info at the WP at the beginning of our caching day, so weren't about to head home without finding the final, even though we were tired and footsore after a day of walking. No walking to this one though, we drove, thank goodness! A bit of a scramble the last few metres at GZ - so StreetWalker retrieved. Thanks for the interesting puzzle - had to do some googling to decode message, and then more to understand what it said (not being very familiar with.Wellington)..

#1926 (11/12 on a day in Wellington). Info was easy to gather. Luckily picked at good parking spot near GZ. TFTC.
Nice easy find today after doing all the work at home. Lots of fun talking pigeon egyptian/english. Now for the tricky mathematics. Thanks for the hide.
6250 An interesting puzzle, no problems locating the Rosetta Stone, hopefully we won’t have too much trouble at the Pyramids, TFTC.
Enjoyed decoding the hieroglyphic puzzle soon after it was published. Today we braved a gale in Wellington to visit the waypoint location and get the information for the final. Headed for GZ as the rain started, and were relieved to make a quick find so we could dash back to the camper. Thanks for this nicely themed puzzle cache.

Good to have found this cache and start the hunt. SL, Operation AUS/NZ Reinforcement Agent #4 Geo coin visited.
Half of our team solved the first part of the mystery. When we were here two weeks ago on our way to South Island we were able to solve rest of the puzzle. Today we were back in Wellington and were able to search the cache. Thank you for this nice mystery.
Got the detail at the entrance to the tomb without disturbing the pharoah last Tuesday. Found time to complete the mission with Little Blue Hen today Good puzzle. Just remembered to grab the paper slip.TFTCSL
Just love this archeological stuff. The message was all Greek to me but Bkj97 being much older worked it out coz I think he was at school at the time the pyramids were built. Nice day to nab the cache. T4TCSL
I was in town dropping off some relatives at the Bon Jovi concert, so I took the opportunity to have a go at finding this cache.
Everything fell into place nicely, making for a straightforward find.

Solved the hieroglyphics after trying a couple of keys before I found one that unlocked the answer but seems I am not interpreting them correctly, because the solution I attempted is too far away and doesn't work out.

Solved riddle of the hieroglyphics the day after it was published. But I didn’t have time to find the cache before heading out of town for a few days. I managed to find time to look for it this morning, and took the script to help me find the mystical Pyramid. TNLN SL TFTC
After being distracted for too long by the modern electronic Rosetta Stone and converting the all of the family's names (including the cat) to hieroglyphics, we got on to solving the clue. Once GZ was established it was a quick find and recovered the first clue for "Top of the Pyramid". Only problem is I haven't the foggiest on how to start on "The Pharaohs Curse". TFTC.
Donned my safari hat after work to join ADV's dig for the elusive Rosetta Stone. Tut-tutted to myself after losing some tools whilst sliding down one side of the pyramid but soldiered on and quickly unearthed the fabled tablet.
Now back recuperating in my tent, I'm still finding sand in odd places and have begun 'walking like an Egyptian'. Curse it all.

FTF Whoopee!!!!! , (07:20), Saw this one published last night and solved the puzzle within minutes, the GODS must be with me on this one, decided not to go after it till morning. Found the required location for the balance of the information required within seconds, lucky for me that the final was NOT here as this was muggle central even at 6am. Calculated what I though was the final and off I went, arrived at GZ and the only thing I was were houses, checked GZ and it told me the cache was in the middle of someone's lounge . I thought about knocking on their door at 6:30 in the morning but thought better of it. Did a bit of a think and then walked the track behind the houses to no avail, so back to the car for another rethink. BANG, I wonder Ahhha moment, maybe, enter what I thought may be the correct co-ordinates, oh no the other side of town. Hoped back into the car and off I went, arrived near the likely GZ and parked the car and off I went. Finally came upon a spot that looked likely and a quick search revealed a cache. No sign off the TB, thanks for the lovely puzzle, definitely a 5 star puzzle for me, but got there in the end. TFTC TNSL (2256) FTF CRAZE Yeetrees came for a quick climb as well.
Oops, small typo in putting 47 in the easting instead of 46, now corrected. Well done Yeetrees for the quick find despite my error!
Cracked the code and determined the location of the vital information (Google is a wonderful thing!). Finding the final will have to wait for some indeterminate date in the future. Great puzzle! Thanks.
Solved the puzzle quickly this morning and quickly identified the correct spot for the next stage using Google Earth. As I was in town around the middle of the day I went and obtained the required information, and then had the same trouble as Yeetrees. A very improbable location for a cache - I was hoping the local residents would invite me inside for lunch but they weren't being that generous Played around a bit with alternative values for some of the numbers, didn't get anywhere and had to give it away as I had run out of time. Back at home I saw the corrections had been made and this time it all made sense. As I was heading to the Hutt this afternoon I diverted on the way and found the cache within seconds at the correct GZ. Signed log, thanks for the interesting puzzle and cache, and the memories - I read about the Rosetta Stone in my childhood and have very clear recollections of the thrill I got when I encountered the real item in the British Museum many years ago.
Had a chuckle when this cache was published as we recently received a postcard from friends in Egypt with the required decoding information. I wish it was always this easy.
Stopped by to make the second mark in the logbook today and collect the required info for the final in the series.
