I took the back roads from Blayney to reach the bridge Smile
There was an obvious spot to hide a cache which I could see from the geomobile Big Grin

As I strolled the short distance to GZ, I could hear the rail lines 'ringing' ... a train coming ??
Sort of !!
I stood there looking up as a bloke in a 4WD ute drove over the bridge and looked back at me.
Almost muggled by the track inspector !! Red Face

After that interruption, the cache was an easy find Big Grin

I was following the Australian Solo Speedway Championship which was held over 4 meetings in Adelaide, Mildura, Undera and Kurri Kurri. To enhance my travels, I picked up some caches along the way. This was one of them. tftc.

Have been planning another trip down to Wagga Wagga. But had to postpone it while the Geo Dawg was recuperating from her knee operation and now she has recovered it is time to put the plan into action. Rather than travelling down the boring concrete strip called Hume. I decided to head out West through Bathurst, Blaney and then South to Cowra, Young hence Wagga Wagga with a view to complete the RGGT Series and find others caches of opportunity along the way. Great cache. TFTC

Beautiful day for cruising the countryside on a motorbike, and large vehicle or not, the approach to that particular bridge is quite nasty both ways, so thanks for the warning. Parked quite close to GZ on a small gravelled area, so it was relatively simple from there. Thanks for giving me an extra reason to cruise this route!

Back on the road again! We're certainly clocking up some K's in the name of this August streak!

A trip into town turned into a cache hunt on the way home. After parking the car it wasn't long before the GPS coordinates where locked in. Signed the log and headed home. Thanks for the cache.

After being muggled at our last cache, nice to have no farmers to muggle us on this one. Tftc

01-May-13
We found a really nice campsite at Bakers Shaft and after a bit of a late getaway we again started heading north aiming for the pprass camping event this weekend picking up caches along the way. We missed our parking spot on the way here and had to go a fair distance before we could do a u-turn. Once this was done and we were safely parked we just followed the GPSr for a nice easy find
Thanks for the cache.

I needs to clear this one from my 30km radius from home... That's the SW done! Again thanks!

Very neatly hidden. Last time our GPS was in the middle of playing a game and had us nearly on the railway track on the oposite side of the road. This time it chose to direct us to the right place. TFTC

Nicely hidden cache with acurate coordinates. Had us fooled last time, but the exercise did us good. TFTC

Initially we parked on the wrong side of the bridge only to find the right spot after walking 50m. TFTC

A few little technology hiccups had occurred, but thankfully we could still rely on one GPS to spit out information on the surrounding caches, cross matched with Winglen's excellent hardcopy. Nabbed after a wee search. All good with this one.

Thanks for the cache.

11-Jun-11
It was somewhere close to here that I realised our pocket query was corrupt or something, meaning that we had none of the caches closer to Bathurst except the puzzles. With Sol de Lune's gps out of action that only left Zsazsa7 so there was a great deal of effort going on in the 'control centre' in the back seat, trying to work out which ones we had not already found on earlier trips. Anyway, a succesful find here thanks Fwoosh Corporation.

Was a bit concerned with the DNF's, but we made the find after a short search. A few waves to a few locals as they went past, but all was good.

27-May-11
Well it now has more DNF's than finds. Spoke to a previous finder on the phone while searching but it is either gone or buried in the grass.

Can this one please be checked.

Maybe we were just too tired, or maybe it's gone.

Nope.

This one beat us. Couldn't find it anywhere.

One of six misses today. The grass blocked many possibilities, or I am just blind as usual. Albida.

Found it Big Grin! I have attempted this one without my GPSr thinking I could work it out once I got there but failed. Today I was prepared and guess what, I must have almost put my hand on it and not known. Oh well, now I have found it. SL TNLN TFTC

Came home for lunch and saw this new cache. Downloaded them just in case.

Had to do a delivery to Milthorpe so switched on the GPS and here was a new cache not far away. Arrived at GZ and had a good hunt before discovering the hide. It is always good to see a virgin log book so was happy with the *FTF*. Not sure if it crosses a date off but happy to take it. Makes it a nice round 20 firsts.
