Hi there jezarocks,
It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is some sort of issue. The recent logs may contain more details about what sort of issues are evident.
The cache has been [**temporarily disabled**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=235), so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location, until the issues/s can be addressed.
**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days,** so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.
#What you need to do:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache** - once checked, place an Owner Maintenance log and then enable the cache.
- **Place A Write Note Log** - indicating a date when you expect it will be restored.
- **Adopt Out or Archive** - depending on whether you want it kept or for it to disappear.
Full details for each of the above choices can be found at [**GEOCACHE MAINTENANCE**]( https://wiki.groundspeak.com/display/GEO/Victoria) on the Regional Policies page.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of the above. Well, when the cache is next checked by a Reviewer, if the issue has not been addressed, or there is no acknowledgment as requested above, it will be assumed the cache has been abandoned.
It would be far better if you decide, so please do something before then. Please don't send an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.
Thanks for your cooperation,

I too think the floods may have carried this one away. Might need a maintenance check
George was certainly a tree with a distinctive gnarled character. Accurate coordinates and a familiar style of hide led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for the cache.
Found on our way to Cobram, ol George survived the storm, as he has done for many a year
We were in the area today to visit the Farming Expo so took the opportunity to grab a couple of caches at Hilldene. Giant George is awesome.. it must be so old... the cache was nicely hidden .. Thankyou to Jezarocks & Philipp for placing a cache here.
**Find #3329**
Out and about from the ring of steel and enjoying a ride on the Geo-motorcycles. After lunch at the Lancefield Hotel it was time for a cache or two. A quick find next to Giant George.
Thanks **Jezarocks**

Gorgeous spot on the backroads here
George was standing guard over the cache of course.
But a bit of tickling his trunk,
and he soon coughed up a cache hide
TFTC
Dropped off the "Winchester Mystery House" TB here today.

Camped at Seymour after returning from Tasmania. Out for a few caches today. First for the day, quick find, cache and contents all good, good coordinates. Took nothing, left nothing. TFTC
NFF Thank Goodness! Running late for the next session back at training Still had a moment to appreciate the beautiful tree and it’s surrounds. Thanks for the cache - it’s in great condition - keeping the streak alive!

Found on our way home from Seymour to Ballarat after an day trip with the family. A nice quick find here and an impressive tree. We picked up the TB in the cache to continue on its travels. TFTC Jezarocks & Philipp
We were heading from Seymour towards Mt Disappointment today. Something must have happened, so the Police sent us on a detour. Lucky! This is how we met Giant George. A great specimen in a beautiful area. We left a Unicorn TB to enjoy this lovely spot before it continues its journey.

The Sisterhood of the Cargo Pants slipped over towards Seymour for a days caching. The weather was much milder than we expected although it got pretty soggy towards the end.
That's quite a tree - we did a couple of laps before eventually spotting the hide.
It was a fun day - thanks jezarocks

Headed off today with the Sisterhood of The Cargo pants, for a days caching.
Lovely old gum tree (I think it was a gum tree?). TFTC

Out for the day caching with the Sisters and we pulled up right on top of an ants nest. I stepped out of the car straight into them and had them instantly all over my shoes making their way up my legs. While I danced around stomping them off me the Sisters made their way to George and come up with the find. TFTC

Moneydork and Mrs Moneydork had very kindly invited me, last November, for a caching trip to Victoria over the Australia Day weekend [:X]
A massive trip with 13 DNFS and 318 finds over 7 days and many kilometers of travel
My knees don't want to bend anymore after a massive ride on the Ballarat Skipton Rail Trail and then about 145 finds the next day while finishing the Dad's Mt. Disappointment Driving Lesson series [xx(] Seems my driving lesson was about me keeping both feet on the ground as I broke my own record by doing the autumn leaf thing 4 times in one day [xx(]
Still a fantastic trip with great sights and lots of cache finds [^]
Today was another travel day from Seymour to Swan Hill so caches were found all along our route [^]
Not exactly an easy find here as the grass was taller than me Although we all know that being taller than me isn't difficult!

Fine old narly specimen, boy had the water come through thjs area last night. Tftc
What a beautiful tree. Came here by night and couldn't help myself but had to climb. I picked up a trackable ear tag and dropped off a trackable frog from Queensland.
Somehow we never quite turn off the freeway to discover Giant George - but today on a day trip to Melbourne we ended up in quite a different place to where we started and went from there to here. There was some water in the Creek and signs that much more water had recently passed through. Giant George was calmly overseeing it all and the nearby dog wanted to let everyone know that someone was at its front gate! We just went about the business of finding the cache and SL at 5.50pm. TN Left: Galloway TB to start its journey, without us, into the geocaching world and hopefully get photographed with bovines around the world. #3280 TFTC jezarocks - and thanks for showing us Giant George at last!
TFTC, peaceful spot, cheers.
First Cache in around 24mths, so thanks for breaking the drought.

Find # 2437 @ 1207 H
Seeing that I am on holidays, I decided to make a day trip over to grab Melbourne's 1st. It was a big trip for a single person, but I am happy, and glad, I done it as I managed to make quite a few other cache finds on the way. I even diverted from my plans on a couple of occasions.
In the end of the day, of 549Km trip, I only had 1 DNF with 32 Finds. And a ton of photos taken form around the area of Melbourne's 1st cache.
That is a nice sized tree. Made the find quite quick and with no need of the hint as cords were spot on.

Quickly found on a cold day. Good spot for a cache. Signed and replaced. TFTC.
What a beautifully majestic tree this was. Awesome. Some farmers fixing fences nearby - the wire must have been very hard to handle in this cold weather. TFTC
It was pretty obvious which tree was Giant George as we rolled up to gz, and very impressive he is indeed. After introducing ourselves to the gentle giant, he was kind enough to point out the cache for us. Logbook signed and the cache squared away, we said our goodbyes the the big fella, and headed for the next target. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
#672 2:13pm TFTC... I am sorry for the generic post, but I am MONTHS behind in my logging of caches... and it is becoming quite a stress. I need to churn though my backlog to get back up to date and I will endeavour to log more often in the future.
Beaut spot for a cache with nobody around.
Good co ords led to a quick find and sign.
Thanks for the interesting location.

What a giant! What a delightful little creek he overlooks. I could not believe the steepness of the rootball. I winder how long he has been a guardian here for. Thanks for placing a cache here to bring it to our attention.
What a cool spot for a cache and a great tree. I happen to be out looking for trees and caring out a bit of maintenance on my own cache nearby so dropped by to grab this one. Cool cache, nice hide, great location. Well done.
Found on geo outing, George sure is a giant, good hide but had company of muggle farmer chasing 2 sheep, and 2 utes on this peaceful country road! Managed to sign and replace cache undetected TFTC
Wow impressive
I would have a picnic here on a better day weather wise, today is wet wet wet

An early start had me arriving here in time for breakfast which I enjoyed in this peaceful place. A quick find, a wander down to the creek, then on with my day after a lovely interlude here by this magnificent forest giant TFTC jezarocks
FFLL no 2 is travelling for work this week. After conducting the presentation at the nearby Army base she had some spare time before she had to head back down the highway.
Heading out along the country roads was nice in the sunshine. Quick grab by the side of the road. What an impressive tree and nice spot.
