Almost missed but glad it is now found. Been out hunting for caches with Emily E. First to sign this logbook on a leap day which we thought was cool. TFTC
Last cache along the beach today because.. stupidly, I was not aware that this ought to be done in low tide! Took longer than I'd hoped to find this one - and it was my Mum that laid her eyes on it! We hoofed it back, but still got trapped just after the caves. Oh well, never mind! Shoes off... through the water we go! Blimmen cold! Thankfully I had spare shorts in the car..! An absolutely stunning place, loved it.
This one took a bit of hunting down but got there eventually This is a spectacular beach! TFTC
Same as other finders on this one. Thought I'd looked everywhere then checked photos and previous finders logs, slipped over and there it was haha. Great one TFTC
Well, finally avenged my DNF. I still struggled with this one as I was expecting a bigger crevice. Was going to give up again after slipping on the slope and got a decent cut on my hand. Then I noticed a glimpse of plastic and it was lower than I thought it would (as I thought I’d ruled out all options there!) anyway, glad to get the smiley now.
Thanks for the cache, katie w

#10,415. I have a big day planned picking out geotour caches on the north side of the harbour, up to Karitane and Moeraki and back to my accommodation in Dunedin. Plus grabbing a lot of adventure labs. The sun has come out and after some rather chilly December weather on this trip its forecast to reach 27 degrees today and I think they got that right. It was very hot today. No chance of getting blue skin in this weather!
Came out here to do a stage of an adventure lab and its a nice looking beach to explore. After exploring the arches I wandered down the beach to do this one. Noticed something a bit out of place and there was the cache tucked into a crevice. Pleased I didn't have to scramble too high to reach this one. Signed the logbook and replaced the container where found. Thanks katie w for hiding it here.

Visiting Dunedin for a few days catching up with the children. This morning the fine weather held so we headed off to the beach. Enjoyed a walk through the rock arches, watched climbers scaling the cliffs and the kids had a swim. Happy to find this after the DNF. Log all fine. Meet a group of people searching for black opal. They told us it was the only place in NZ that you find it. Thanks for the smiley.
We looked in quite a few crevices, we expanded our search, but couldn't find anything. Reading the logs now back at home, maybe we didn't go high enough... That will be for another time! Thanks for placing and maintaining the cache!
Came out to do part of an adventure lab and grab the nearby caches including this one. GPS took me to the wrong spot then found the helpful photos. Found a couple of hidey holes but they were bare. Wasn’t comfortable searching higher up due to gorse and soft ground underfoot (wrong shoes!)
Out with Eve07 on a daytrip to enjoy the nice weather and grab some caches we've been eyeing up for a while.
Even though Eve07 has found it before we ended up searching the in the wrong spot. Then went back through the logs and spotted something from the CO which soon re calibrated our search area and then Eve07 points out something I had overlooked and yay there it was.
Thank you for the cache, was in good condition.

2 hours after high tide. Easily accessible. Nice tunnel. Log safe and sound.

A quick find while out about grabbing a few caches out here. An awesome day for a walk along the beach. TFTC
Thanks has run past here a couple of times while running the Orokonui 21km race. Today knew it was low tide so made a special trip along to pick this up. Birds nesting on the cliff face.
I pretty sure that I found it but, I didn’t have shoes on so I could not confirm my suspicions. I’ll be back!
Out with the hard core of the Wednesday Walkers. Fortunately I had the CO and a previous finder, because my Garmin pointed to a different hint location, which I searched thoroughly, all the while cursing the gorse which had overrun the area. Easy find once i had been put right.

Nachdem das Wasser wieder zurück ging, diesen wunderschönen Ort bei abendlicher Stimmung bewundert.
Took a couple of goes and yes I forgot my GPS and had to go by my phone. Thinking like katie w would I knew where she wouldn't go and places she wouldn't put it so after eliminating a few things it was finally in hand! Lots of people here on this beautiful summers day today. But nobody spotted me! TFTC
On holiday from the UK ... found it after a little hunting around ... beautiful place for Geocaching ... TFTC ...
Hevic and I made a fairly easy find more complicated than it should have been. I scrambled up the rocks and decided to try trusting my instincts, which weren't quite on point at the time. I ended up resorting to the hint and found it almost straightaway. Nevertheless, we had a lot of fun on the walk - both to and from the cache - on a lovely spring day. Cheers!

Found with no problem, very nice surroundings. What a wonderful place! We missed just some mussels for soup
Thank you for the cache and greetings from two Czechs!

Found with P&Vee. What a lovely day for a walk! Thanks for placing this cache to encourage us to get out and take a look at an area which is close to home, but always seems a bit off-the-radar when it comes to choosing a place to spend a morning.
Out with a group of friend on our usual Wednesday walk. P&Vee and jrb5050 were ahead and had replaced it before I came on the scene but it didn't take long. Nice and dry inside.
This wonderful beach we visited on our holiday tour through NZ.

Found at the end of a wonderful day at the beach with lots of swimming and relaxing. TFTC
A great day out on the beach today. This one was a bit of a scramble, I guess our tide charts were off a bit as we had to scramble around this head. No problem getting back as it dropped. Thanks katiew.
Arrived at the right time as the tide was way out which meant we could carry on to collect the cache at the Pa. Found with Aoraki Sheep. Picked up TB.
A bit of a scramble and cache was in hand. Was interesting to watch some rock climbers not far from gz. Found with debsnz
Beautiful day, beautiful beach. Dodge the dried gorse, or have some footwear. TFTC.
Woo-hoo! Finally found it! Took us three attempts, mainly due to unfavourable tides preventing us from getting to the right spot. We found so many cool cache spots in the vicinity but nothing in them. So it was great to finally find the wee box! Signed the log book and put box back where we found it. TFTC, the Ferndale Family
TFTC, a really nice day for a walk down the beach. Lots of people and kids around today
Ghostgums, gunnie69, Ozibags, thefourbees, Kaisho53 and MrMeccano were on a 6 day escapade to Dunedin to attend the mega and this was thebeginning of our second day. After a bit of a wet & windy day 1, day 2 looked more promising. We had set our sights on a drive out to Port Chalmers and back.
We kept on walking from the earth cache. We gained some shelter from the wind once we had turned the bend and enjoyed a pleasant walk along the beach.
At GZ, it turned into a scramble among the rocks but I managed to locate the cache fairly quickly.
nice spot to visit. But with triumph comes the battle of the return along the beach into the wind. Fortunately and with much luck we had timed our visit to coincide with the low tide and at least had plenty of beach to work with as we tacked back towards the car park. I think we earned more than 1.5 stars for the terrain on this one.

Day 2 of Cache Hunting at NZ Mega 21012 with Gunnie69, Ghostgums, Mr Meccano, Ozibags and TheFourBees
Having been blown down here from nearby earth cache we began our search...
As we began to look Gunnie homed in on a likely spot but was trumped by Fourbees who pulled the cache out of another about 4 metres away
Soon we had log signed all replaced..
Now back we go - sandblasted all the way by the looks of it
TNLNSL
Thanks katie w

We wandered along the beach a little and after searching for a few minutes, fourbees pulled this out of its hidey hole about 10m away from where the rest of us were looking.
Day 2 on our caching trip to Dunedin for the NZ MEGA 2012 event with Gunnie69, Kaisho53, Ozibags, fourbees and MrMeccano. Today we headed out through Ravensbourne to Port Chalmers, to Doctors Point and back caching around the northern suburbs of North Dunedin and Opoho.

Caching with Ghostgums, Mr Meccano. Gunnie69, kaisho53 and fourbees while attending the NZ Mega. The wind was relentless driving sand across the beach and pushing us to the earthcache nearby.
After getting the information for the earthcache we continued to this cache where fourbees found the cache. A beautiful area .
Now back into the wind walking at about 60 degrees, eyes partially closed to keep out the sand, and returned to our car . TFTC katie w.

After pausing at the nearby earthcache to take in the beauty, note some dimension and of course, shelter from the wind, a group of us continued down the beach to hunt this one... It was a chilly day and the wind was relentless, we were not looking forward to the return journey...
On arrival near GZ, there were a few hiding options and I spotted one that looked perfect, as I moved in for a wee look around, TheFourBees pulled the container out from a nook about 4m over... Hmm, guess I was wrong then...
Log book out and a sticker added for us all, it was tucked away and we braved the elements en route back to the car... A great place to drop by, thanks for dropping a cache there for us to enjoy...
Found with fellow Queensland hunters Kaisho53, OziBags, TheFourBees, Ghostgums and Mr Meccano during our six day visit to Dunedin.
Cheers katie w.

All the seasons in one afternoon, today. Did some site maintenance for the comfort of our MEGA visitors and other finders.
Are they fellow Geo's or are they muggles? Not too sure about this as they climbed amongst the rocky face that my GPS tells me contains my next cache. There's another cache site further along the beach... might be a better option at this time. And that it was, for when we returned there they were... two rock climbers doing their thing high up the cliff face. Fortunately we were out of their sight and were able to score another cache.
Lovely day out, walked round the rocks getting our feet wet while the tide was going out - great.
A nice beach walk, bit of a wind blowing but that helped take the edge off the sun.
This is one of my favourite places around here, beautiful in the ever changing weather - I think we got rained on about four times during the walk and still managed to sit for a while in the sun TFTC!!
