Picked up this cache on my way to Duntroon this morning. It was a quick find. #6263. TFTC.
#22171. We were heading "upstream" along SH83, and were pleased to find good parking outside the station. Quick find. Thanks for the interesting info on the irrigation scheme, and the part played by these pumps. TFTC.
Thanks for placing a cache here. It is a very interesting site. The country side has certainly been transformed by this scheme
Slowly heading along this section of the road cache by cache. Great parking here and always good to sign off an older cache. TFTC # 15,545
After a bit of a dig and almost logging a dnf on closer examination found the container. All present and in good condition. Tftc
Decided to make a trip to Duntroon over the Dansey Pass. Lots of logs to find and sign and this one was one of them. Day 3 and it begins again starts with a nice walk up the hill. TFTC
We were happily driving along on a beautiful day so obviously it was time to look for a cache. Mr Spoonz stayed glued to the pumps, exclaiming how interesting they were, so Mrs Spoonz did the honours. Thanks for this placement.
Found quickly but this cache has not been visited much. Cache all nice and dry. TFTC drawp
Day 2 of our 6-Day End of the Year caching trip to Dunedin. The batteries died just as we pulled up so Mum went and found the cache while I stayed and changed the batteries. A nice quick find. Thanks for placing the cache and adding to our smilies. Happy Caching
Heading to Omarama for the weekend with a few caching stops along the way. Nice quick find. TFTC

Stopped here on a day drive to explore the region and find a few caches. Definitely decent sized pumps there, I'm glad I'm not paying the power bill for them! Found the cache quickly. Signed log, TFTC
The second weekend of planned caching trips for Chelzea and I. This one started caching near Temuka and then on down to Timaru, Oamaru over Danseys Pass and then back to ChCh from Palmerston the next day. Long and winding trip in places but managed a good number of caches with only a few DNF's. Too many to remember in detail so sorry for the cut and paste logs but thanks to all the owners it was a great two days of searching new places for a good variety of caches. 1111
After visiting the intake for the irrigation system it is nice to see a bit more of the network.
On a mission around South Canterbury/North Otago. 114 found caches today. Thanks to all the CO's for their effort. Sorry about the cut and paste. TFTC.
I only had the afternoon to sign off a few caches and so decided to visit the ones at the Lower Waitaki Intake as this was near to where I was staying and a few surrounding ones as well.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
hehe - cumecs are already 'per second' - a cumec is a cubic metre per second. It's still a lot to pump! TFTC.

Headed down south with C&D and 11HPG11 for the CHCH Mega as part of the HOAC team, and decided that a Mega road trip/Mega Mission was the right thing to do. After a great day caching from Dunedin to Omarama we manged to get a few hours sleep before the big day 2 started.
Day 2 was the start of a ambitious plan to try and find as many caches as possible in one day! To maximise our chances of a big number we decided a 24 hour caching day was the only way to go. What an epic day, and some great moments too. The rough idea was to cache from Omarama to Oamaru, and then head north towards Christchurch. A huge thanks to everyone for the cache placments, and I apologise for the copy and past logs.
Find #102 for the day.

This was the start of a MEGA caching weekend in the company of good caching friends. In the company of both HKCB & 11HPG11 this was going to be another memorable caching road trip for many reasons.
This is the mission that we had set ourselves up for several months back. It was HKCB's idea, I was just dumb enough to think it was a challenge and I'd be up for it, 11HPG11 was silly enough to come along for the ride once we confirmed a spare seat (Nova Lightening pulled out for family reasons).
We were going to try to beat the NZ one day record in New Zealand (it would have been easier with 4 people), so after 2.5hrs sleep after a good feed at Omarama we were ready to go. This was the one hundred and first on what was to be an epic day with what amounted to 401 caches collected for the day and about 38 DNF's. We managed this with 10minutes to spare but by this time we were done for and still had to drive back to Kaiapoi. All in all an epic days caching with good friends and something I don't think any of us will repeat in a hurry.
All in all it was going to be a big day with a number of challenges, great sceanery, and of course great company. Fantastic driving along and up here as the landscape was so different from what we are used to back in the Waikato. One good thing about backroads being that we could continue our neferious activites without being disturbed by muggles.
Nice quick find here without any issues .
thanks for the placement , thanks for the cache

What a Mega Mission for a group of Hamilton Over Achievers! A great trip, a long time in the planning. I teamed up with Cats&Dragons and HKCB to grab a couple of caches while in Christchurch and surrounding areas for the 2015 Mega Event. We flew out from Auckland on Friday night and traveled to Dunedin in the dark of the night. Stopped for a few hours sleep before setting off to grab caches in the Otago area on Saturday before attempting a few more on Sunday and then arriving at the Mega on the Monday. An amazing, yet crazy road trip
When C&D mentioned a day with over 400 caches I should have turned and ran... instead I said yes, and here we are. 401 caches in 23 hours and 50 minutes. All done on about 2.5hr of sleep. It was hard work with only 3 of us and there were times that were hard and tiring but I still had a blast! An amazing experience that one has to be slightly crazy to even consider
Starting to warm up now after my swim, thanks for the cache!

Found on our 25 day New Zealand South Island holiday.
Apologies for the late log but with little or no internet as we travelled and only super slow WiFi in van parks I decided to log all finds on my return home.
Stayed in Oamaru for the night and left for Twizel today

Another quick found for us during our trip around New Zealand. Tftc from Switzerland
3rd time lucky ! Yes, I've had a couple attempt before but there always seem to be staff working at the site. Better luck today.
The gates to the 'Big Pump' was open with workmen around, luckily our appropriately disguised caching vehicle meant we could park up and not arouse suspicion. Found with Woody104 and Aoraki Sheep.
Enjoying a warm, winters day out grabbing some caches in the area. Found with Aoraki Sheep and Woody104
Back on the road again after doing the rounds at the waterways further up. Made a quick find.
