We spent an amazing week visiting Yalara for my husbands 50th. After visiting Uluru a few times and then coming out for the walks here we were actually more impressed by Kata Tjuta, there is something amazingly special about this place. We don't regret the 4am starts and totally understand why they close the walk at 11am due to heat as the heated breeze hits you in the face as you enter, It's a surreal feeling. Answers sent to COThank you for this earth cache Sissifalke. Favourite point given for a place I will never forget.
Loved the windy valley walk with 2MuchMum. Saw the sunrise and enjoyed breakfast in the bush. A lovely time here.I had forgotten how good the bitumen road was with no potholes or corrugations out from Yalara. Tftc

Greetings from Austria! After a sunrise tour to Uluru we visited the Walpa Gorge of Kata Tjuta.Such a beautiful place!Sorry, I've forgotten the selfie on this place, I take a pic as we leaving the gorge!
The end of a long hard day before we move on to a Brisbanevto Cairns road trip tomorrow. Sunrise and a cycle ride around Uluru followed by visiting the 2 Gorges at Kata Tjuta. Needless to say this, the last visit of the day followed by another disappointing sunset was not the full walk, but as much of it as could be fitted in our time schedule. Many thanks for placing.
Did the full circuit of Valley of the Winds this morning - from 1030 to 1315. It was still cool and breezy when we set out but 29 deg and bug riddled by the time we finished. We did the loop counter-clockwise, so we descended the steepest part. Didnt see much wildlife - just locusts, a few finches, ants and maybe heard a kookaburra. Saw absolutely no lizards. Stunning landscapes. Reminds me of the desert southwest in the USA or the savanna grasslands you see on safari. Also, lots of unexpected vegetation, some of which had a sweet almost basil or rosemary smell. And I was surprised to see the desert oak with leaves that look more like needles.Answers sent. TFTC
It was a nice cool day today so we headed out to do the Valley of the Winds Circuit.Absolutely stunning. One of my favourite hikes of all time. Tftc! Answers sent to CO.

Very interesting conglomerate rock here, just amazing. Thanks for showing us this feature.
Greetings from Wales. We are in the area as part of our Australia big trip and aftet visiting Ulure yesterday, Today we decided to visit Kata Tjuta and what a fabulous decision that was. We followed part of the Valley of the Winds trail to the second lookout. The landscape here is absolutely spectacular with huge rust coloured cliffs towering above and the incredible conglomerate rock. Answers sent to the CO so I hope they are OK. Thanks for bringing us here. Fave for sure.
Brad and Janet are on an epic 6 week trip aiming to travel along the Canning Stock Route, the longest stock route in the world. 51 wells and crossing 4 deserts. We are traveling with a group of 11 vehicles on a tour led by Ron and Trent Moon. We have the geomobile towing the mini-geohouse on wheels. We have a couple of caches to put out if we find a good spot. We will grab what we can as we pass. We have finished the CSR part of the trip and are now headed home via Meekatharra, Sandstone, Leinster, Leonora, Laverton and the Great Central Road and Surveyor Generals Corner then across to the Stuart Highway. We started the Outback Way geocache trail in 2013. Slowly adding as we revisit from time to time. Hopefully we can add some more. We stopped at Kata Tjuta yet again. Always a great place to visit. Freddo sent Sallymander to Uluru and told her to find an earthcache. Earthscience answers submitted to the cache owner for approval. Amazing location. Thanks for the wonderful geology lesson.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. I headed off to the coordinates and took the required shots of the beautiful landscape in front of me. Answers sent via the Messenger service. On a 10-days tourist trip in Australia. Thanks for the cache. Greetings from Finland!
The snuggle muggle and I got some great deals on cheap flights, so over the Melbourne Cup weekend we decided to leave Victoria and head for the **NT!**After spending the day before exploring Uluru, we decided to come and explore the other major landmark, Kata Tjuta. After watching a lovely little sunrise we then opted to explore the [Vally of the Winds walk](https://parksaustralia.gov.au/uluru/do/walks/valley-of-the-winds/).*Wow.. simply... wow!*Is all I can say. We were blown away by the beauty of this location. Uluru is so iconic and has such a spiritual and historical significance, but I truely think Kata Tjuta is a more beautiful location. We absolutely loved exploring it here today.I always love Earthcaches as they usually take me to beautiful locations and teach me some fascinating things, but this one completely out did the usual Earthcaches I find. Not only was the location one of the most beautiful I have been too, but it was interesting reading up about how different the compositions of Uluru and Kata Tjuta were.A huge thanks goes to [Tam sissifalke](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=a7bd42e2-d7fe-4be6-b0fd-a58fd532a52e&wid=22fbb3bf-6af8-4c43-8942-7202cee72c00&ds=2) for this fascinating and beautiful, Earthcache! Together with Travelser I'm going Down Under. We are driving around with a motorhome. Started on the 17th September in Cairns. Our plan is driving.along the eastcoast down. Then in the south on to Adelaide and from there ending the 31th October in Alice Springs.During our trip we of course search for several caches. Most of them brought us to very nice spots, like this one.The answers for yhis earthcache are send by TravelSerAll the CO's, and in this case Team sissifalke, thanks for bringing us here and give our trip a special accent.
On my roundtrip along Australia with Oopie we are douing always some caches.Today we ware in Uluru and we did a few nice caches.I wrote the answers together with Oopie and with your permission I am also sending the answers for OopieCO thanks for bringing us on this nice place and make this cache.
After getting up early for Uluru sunrise and taking in a few more laps of the rock,it was now time to head over to these domes .Got here about 9:30am in company of a couple of bus loads of tourists.Ran up to the Kaja Lookout for a bit of a look .Lovely cache
This is the 3rd time I've completed this walk. Everytime is different and yet still spectacular. Looking down the valley from the lookout, you expect to see a wagon train or antelope roaming. Such a magical place
Found by The Empire + HVisiting Kata Tjuta, was an extraordinary journey into the heart of Australia's Red Centre. This geological wonder, located in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, offers a unique and spiritual experience. Exploring Kata Tjuta, you'll find two popular walksthe Gorge Walk and the Valley of the Winds Walkthat allow you to immerse yourself in the stunning landscapes and ancient history. Our journey continued with the more adventurous and challenging trek known as the Valley of the Winds Walk, taking us deeper into the heart of Kata Tjuta. As we embarked on this journey, we experienced the elements of nature up close. The wind swirled around us, and we were surrounded by the immense domes, each revealing its unique character. The walk allowed us to explore the various lookout points, where we could take in sweeping views of the outback and the surrounding desert. We also traversed rugged terrain, offering a different perspective of the geological features of Kata Tjuta. Throughout our adventure in Kata Tjuta, we were enveloped in the spiritual significance of this place to the Anangu people, the traditional owners of the land. Their stories and cultural history added depth to our experience as we walked through the ancient landscapes, witnessing the interplay of light, shadows, and colors on the sandstone formations. It was a journey that invited us to connect with the land, its history, and the enduring beauty of the Australian outback.Answers sent, favourite point added. Thanks for the earthcache Team sissifalke.- MEarthcache #410

Day 30 of our greynomad trip up north and after a the JLWEvents, a tour of Maralinga and caching to claim LGAs in the Eyre Peninsula, we are attempting to escape the southern weather that has been wet and windy.
Today we visited this beautiful outcrop of rocks and enjoyed a stroll along with many others who were here today. It is so easy to see and feel why this place is so special to our First Nations people.

I visited this earthcache on another enjoyable trip with FeatherWaite over 3-weeks through South Australia, Northern Territory and Western Australia. This time the plan was to head up to Kings Canyon, across to the WA border via Uluru and Kata-Tjuta, then down the Great Central Road, with a few side-trips along the way before eventually getting to the Goldfields and home via Queen Victoria Springs and the Eyre Highway.
We had some mixed weather to start, with a few overnight showers initially, but mostly warm and sunny days. The nights were often cold though!
It was not the first time I’d been in this area, but it was the first time I’ve had the opportunity for a good look around.
Joint answers sent and confirmed by the CO.

Made the observations on this interesting earthcache during three weeks away with e.gregory1 on a trip along WA's Great Central Road and a caching circuit of the WA Goldfields. We travelled North on the Stuart Highway and out to Kings Canyon to Uluru and Kata Tjuta. From there we headed in a south-westerly direction along the Great Central Road with a number of detours along the way, including Surveyor Generals Corner and Empress Spring. Then it was down to Laverton and Leonora before turning South to Menzies and Kalgoorlie. A few days were spent on a circuit back up to Lake Carey and around to Queen Victoria Spring before returning to Kalgoorlie, then out to Coolgardie, Kambalda and Norseman, before heading for home along the Eyre Highway. Thanks for the geological history and earthcache Team sissifalke!
Today we walked that windy trail trough Kata Tjuta. It's a really gorgeous walk, especially the first half of the loop. Thanks for setting up this earthcache and as always TFTC, MumDad2000

We were lucky that temperatures had dropped to the lower 20s,so the walk was not as strenuous as it would have been at 35°C. Great hike and wonderful view at the end, we were surprised by the green found in the domes. TFTC

We went on a hike with our Mulgas tourgroup. The domes are really beautiful and we love the 2 lookouts. Unfortunately, it began to rain so our way back to the van was a bit slippery but we managed. For not making this earthcache to difficult to solve and the stunning area we will leave a fav behind. TFTC
Nice to learn about differences in geology between Uluru and this structure. Very different! TFTEC gets a fav from Pennsylvania USA

Family reunion after 3 long years! Ms Emu’s parents came over from Germany and the Emus took them on a couple of road trips down the Mornington peninsula, along the Great Ocean Road, to the Grampians and on an adventure around Alice Springs, Uluru and Kings Canyon.

Found with Kat33, Mumzi and TheGrunch. Greeting's from Calgary, Canada! After one day in Sydney we were in the air once more and hit up another site we had seen almost ten years ago and was the main reason we wanted to come back to the area. TheGrunch in particular really wanted to check out Uluru once more so we scheduled some time in this trip to head on over here once more. The flight went well and soon we were disembarking from the plane with a view of Uluru in the distance, kind of tough to beat that introduction here, . Got settled in the hotel. We had booked the same one was we tried previously, the Desert Gardens, partially due to some of the other options being sold out, which surprised us considering we're in the middle of the summer heat (not sure it ever dropped from 35 degrees during the day time while we're here). TheGrunch had wanted to check out King's Canyon (something we hadn't done prior) and had a choice in terms of which cache to target. Stuck with the easier walk and enjoyed the creek walk where we picked up the virtual there. One advantage of this decision was that we were brought back to the resort where we had a leisurely lunch and found the traditional along one of the pathways there. Yesterday brought us to Uluru itself and we did a traditional hike from the Mutitjulu water hole to the cultural centre by way of Kantju Gorge. Today we hit up Kata Tjuta and picked up the two earth caches there by doing a couple of leisurely hikes! This cache was cache 1 of 2 and was found on 2023.03.07 at 7:46:00 AM for a total of 5136. No dnf's as well which is always awesome to say! TFTC Team sissifalke!
We were here - Joodie & Joodax
after work walk, wine and relax!
Team sissifalke Thanks for the cache and yellow dandelion.
We were at this location on February 13th, but due to constantly moving around Australia and logging other caches, I'm only now getting to these logs where answers need to be formulated.
Visiting Uluru and Kata Tjuta was a must for Jodie and I. It is simply a symbol of Australia, and only on the spot do we realize how tangible it is. Kata Tjuta herself made an absolutely incredible impression on us the day before. Today, after walking around Uluru, we still wanted to do the wind bike up Kata Tjuta, and because it was cloudy by local standards and because we set off really early, we managed to do it.
