Another day on the Oodnadatta track. We stopped at this one and I searched like the hint suggested for a while and then thought maybe I would see from below. So headed down and found the cache on the ground metres from the bridge. I gave replaced per hint.

On a Intrepid tour stopped here to see the old Ghan track and made some beautiful pics! Thanks for putting a cache here so we can also place this beautiful spot on the geo map!
Cruizin' the Oodnadatta Track and checking out the sights. Thanks for the placement.
Stopped during our tour at this lovely little piece of railway. Walked on the railway and made some great pictures. Ofcourse we did watch out for possible snakes.

So many great cache locations. This certainly didn’t disappoint. Wow !
Found with Sea eagle on our “mini” adventure through the middle of the state. What could go wrong? SpidermonkeysGrandMums health suddenly declined, 3 out of 4 of us had been sick (not covid luckily but many tests have been required and results transcribed between towns and phone coverage) left the monkey home not well, farina bakery was closed due to covid and was the highlight of the beginning of our trip, the backup battery decided to die. So, we don’t know really how far we can go and taking each day, one at a time.
Overnighted at Port Augusta (just to get out of the house early) , two nights camping at Farina, (frosty!) two camping at coward Springs and then two at William creek (hotel room and a scenic flight)
The skies have been amazing at night and the sunsets fantastic. We haven’t been able to find all the caches en route due to the drivers demands but we selected some old and 360 degree from home special ones. Nothing wrong with leaving a few for “next time” either.
Thank you for placing it for us to find. Thank you for contributing to the geo map and maintaining when required. TFTC

Found with SpidermonkeysMum on our trip along the Old Ghan Railway Heritage Trail from Quorn to Finke, Lamberts Centre then back along the Stuart Highway. Had a great trip, stopping often for caches/coffee/camping. Weather was very sunny during the day, freezing at night but I love a good campfire. Thanks for the reason to stop.
Found on a trip to Parachilna Gorge, Marree, Muloorina Station, William Creek, Lake Cadibarrawirracanna, Coober Pedy and back home down the Stuart Highway. Stopped here for lunch, very picturesque with the waterway filled with water. Thanks for the cache Tk2!
After discussion with and permission from the CO a new magnetic container is in place here now as per the clue. So it seems that this one is good to go again.

Found on yet another trip without crossing borders. Like many others overseas trips are on hold. Even interstate is hard to lan. So we are taking the time to explore and re-explore u home state of South Australia.
This one is take 2 as our first attempt was clobbered 2 days in by a sudden lockdown meaning we had to turn back home again. Two weeks later and the geohounds are back at puppy holiday camp. Our plan is Hummocks Station, Willow Waters Gorge (brilliant!), Farina, and then the Oodnadatta Track. We hope to find a few caches along the way and maybe hide a couple too. We are certainly having fun so far.

On a road trip with CBC2 from Adelaide to Coober pedy via Oodnadatta track returning to Adelaide via the black top. Found many caches along the way some oh so easy and some more challenging. Thanks to all the CO s for their hides. Some took us to some wonderful places. SL TFTC
@jesswrigley and I travelled to the Northern Territory from Adelaide for a 2.5 weeks road trip holiday. We took my jeep through Port Augusta, Woomera, Roxby Downs, Andamooka, and then drove the Oodnadatta Track via Coward Springs, William Creek (including a Lake Eyre scenic flight), Oodnadatta, and Marla. It was then onwards to visit Uluru (Ayers Rock), Kata Tju?a (Olgas), Kings Canyon, and then drove the Red Centre Way aka. Mereenie Loop Road to see the Tjoritja (West MacDonell Ranges), calling in to see the various highlights. We then stayed a few nights in Alice Springs, and included a day trip to see the East MacDonell Ranges. It was then time to turn around to head to South Australia, and in doing so, we visited the Palm Valley, and made the 4WD detour through Owen Springs Reserve (an excellent shortcut that wasn’t too technically difficult), calling into the Henbury Craters, and the Lambert Centre of Australia. Our final stop was Coober Pedy, and we really enjoyed checking out the various dugouts and mines.
Today, we continued our outback trip travelling from Coward Springs along the Oodnadatta Track to Oodnadatta. It was an early morning start as we visited the nearby hidden gravestones, and arrived at William Creek to take a scenic flight across Lake Eyre. Once we participated in that adventure, we also decided to drive the long route to Lake Eyre to feel it with our hands itself, but the army of flies forced us back in the Jeep, and on our way. After all those corrugations, the main Oodnadatta Track felt like a nice freeway as it was a slow journey to our evening stay.
Another piece of cool Ghan history. No water around, and a simple scramble up to get to this geocache, where a quick find was made. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. We had to be on our way as we had a flight to catch. Thanks Tk2 for placing this cache, and its ongoing maintenance.

@Davidwazza and I travelled to the Northern Territory from Adelaide for a 2.5 weeks road trip holiday in the infamous black jeep. We took a route through Port Augusta, Woomera, Roxby Downs, Andamooka, and then drove the Oodnadatta Track via Coward Springs, William Creek (including a Lake Eyre scenic flight), Oodnadatta, and Marla. It was then onwards to visit Uluru (Ayers Rock), Kata Tju?a (Olgas), Kings Canyon, and then drove the Red Centre Way aka. Today, we continued our trip, from Coward springs, along the Oodandatta track. We started early, getting to William Creek for a scenic flight across Lake Eyre. We continued along to our next stop, the Pink Road House in Oodnadatta!

We are on a 4wd/camping holiday from Adelaide to Alice Springs.
We are following the Old Ghan Railway as much as possible.
It has been interesting seeing the history of the out back and caching as we go.

Found in the dark without having downloaded the coords. Had forgotten to save to cgeo but had remembered some of the hint. Thanks Tk2 for replacing our troubled cache many moons ago. Yours is hidden much better than ours was. It was great to return here.
Pulled up on the wrong end and had the cross the creek. Luckily didn’t get m feet wet.

It's a big country out here. Just love all these bridges. This one was a bit simpler in construction than some we had seen. Any how, out here, who cares. As long as you get across that water. Pic.
Found with H423L on an epic trip up to find Pluto (GCG32B) - the furthest known planet at the time of TeamAstro's solar system inception. There was dust, flies, more dust, no mud and a million stars at night. There were no tyre issues. The geocaching led us to spectacular spots that were out of the way - and a few spots that were popular as it was the school holidays. We cached a few caches with others and it was good to see our friends on the trail.
Thanks to Tk2 and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!

Found yesterday on my epic return trip to Perth via Mt Gambier and Renmark, possibly with a few more detours to be thrown in. TFTC
Travelling the Oodnadatta track on this part of my great trip up the middle with a couple of muggle friends.
Just picking up random caches while I can without upsetting them to much.
A not so quick detour off the track to get to this one as I came in from the wrong end, got bogged, walked to the other side, found the cache, left the pen in the car, walked back, unbogged the car and trailer, drove around to the other side and finally signed the log.
Thanks Tk2 TFTC.

Travelling the Oodnadatta track, heading nowhere in particular. Stopping for caches and at interesting landmarks. It’s really great to learn about the original Ghan railway

A quick find. Pity about all the toilet paper people have left behind . Otherwise, wonderful TFTC
We ended up going to the wrong side of the bridge for this one, we turned off too soon. Never mind we just walked over which turned out for the better. Along the way we got to see all the amazing colours on the plant life down in the dry river bed.

One of the many old Ghan railway bridges which are scattered through this area. Some are still in great condition. TFTC
Found this cache on the 21st September whilst traveling the outback. Took a few photos of this old bridge. Awesome spot.
Another day in what will be an almost three month journey for me and micaparamedic. We went by Ana Creek Station, the world's largest working cattle station. We learned that education was conducted over radios. We stopped in Oodnadatta and basked in the town's colours, signs and sights. We visited the Pink Roadhouse and what is the only outdoor movie house I have even seen. We stopped at the Algebuckina trestle where I learned the history of the old Ghan railway. We visited the Bubbler and ended the day at Lake Eyre.
I had started my travels with micaparamedic in Canada and the US in late July, seeing the Yukon and Northwest Territories, attending the Mega APE event, and camping in Oregon to be in the direct path of a total solar eclipse. There were other day trips to find special caches and see geologically related spots of interest.
Now he is showing me his country, and it's incredible. My bucket list had included walking around Uluru, and now I can cross that off. I also wanted to see some Australian outback, and now that is also crossed off. There are a few more things planned on this journey that will be crossed off as well. Dreams are coming true.
Thanks for a cache near something related to trains as I love trains and the history surrounding them.

A great spot to hide a cache. Quite an interesting site, thanks for bringing us here. Large aggressive ant nest just a couple of metres from GZ - be careful! TFTC
Found on our return from William Creek. Met Neil and Pam camping nearby so a quick stop turned into a half hour yarn. Great. TFTC
We have always loved the old rail bridges but this time we
went to the wrong side of the creek. As we are in a bus and
tow our car on a trailer, we decided to take the car to the
other side. We found the cache, signed the log and hid it
back into its hidey hole. Feeling pretty happy with our selves
we headed back to the bus, put the car on the trailer and off
we went, we thought. Oh, no!!! Bogged in the red sand. Now
we had to take the car off again, and unhook the trailer. After
digging away sand from the wheels we had no luck at all. We
decided to use some of our precious water to wet the sand
and after three goes we finally got out. Such is life!!!
Thanks heaps Tk2 for the 'fun'???

TFTC Thank you for going to the effort of hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
This cache was found on an awesome trip to Alice Springs and the Red Centre MegaThere were many many awesome experiences shared with LakeEyreMax, Lost55 and TK2. and on occasion moneydorkThis one as we headed homeThere was a lot going on and I was neglectful of logging, but did keep notes and luckily can shadow TK2 logsPlease accept my apologies and late log - it reflects my tardiness rather than the quality of the cache experience and the enjoyment derived
Northward bound toward the Alice Springs Red Centre Experience, this was one of the cache stops we had with our traveling partners DazzPete. In fact they became more the stop, revive, survive pit stops which were quite welcome given some of the distances traveled each day.
Our last visit to the Oodnadatta Track was back in 2009 when we were new to caching and at that time not a great many caches on our route, coupled with being somewhat restricted by our then travelling companions who were all non cachers. This is quite an impressive bridge with the salt water creek running below. Our visit was prior to the rains which closed the Track for a few days so we were impressed to see some water in the creek. Our thanks to Tk2 for taking on this cache which is in good condition. Cheers [^]
