Awesome spot to stop and explore! Forgot a pen - so photo of the log book attached. Tftc
We are Austrian tourists travelling by bus from Darwin to Melbourne. A stop at Daly Waters was obligatory. The hideout was clear for me. Thanks for providing a cache at this amazing village.
An overnighter is a mustCruising around for 4 monthsPerth up to Darwin, making our way homeTFTC
Had to call in to see the famous pub on our way south. So many eccentrics here so nobody takes any notice of a cache-seeker.
On our travels along the Stuart Highway it was a must to pop into Daly Waters and have a coffee at the pub. Looking for this cache we found out that we had parked right in front of it. Great and legendary ourback place!
Found with DennisC52 while on our half lap of Australia. Thanks (owner) for the cache.
This place is a circus. Muggle madness. Hundreds of them.No way to get this without about 20 muggles watching.
Quick find with Deefa71. Fave point for the fab location. Greetings from Perth. Tftc
Wow what a great cache Liz and Bruce and such fun to find. Buddy the geodog helped us with this one. Found on June 22, 2024. # 9427
Wow, I had no idea this was here! We had been speaking with travellers heading to get to here, now I know why! I was so fascinated with exploring the eclectic mix of it all, it took my third pass of the cache to stop to find it. With photos complete, and cache found it was into the pub for lunch, What a place! Crazy collection of everything, singing entertainment and a chip eating chicken! A couple of donkeys turning up free range took a distraction for a while, my checks hurt with smiling at the very experience!
Our first time at Daly waters. Such an interesting, quirky place. Something here to interest everyone. Tftc
Found while staying a couple of nights across the road as we travel towards Darwin TFTC
OCW PelDroedGwin Staying at this iconic pub, popped over to sign the log before heading for a cold beer. Tftc
Heading out of Darwin to take a long slow drive to Brisbane, I have a short list of caches to help with a few challenges and to break up the drive. This one made the list! Everything was in good order, signed and replaced as found.
Where i thought it would be but didnt find it. Lucky Bro had another look. Awesome spot to take a break! TFTC
Back to one of our fav pubs, Daly Waters, for their famous 1/2beef, 1/2barra big feed tonight ️
Thanks for allowing us to cache & kill some time on our trip across 3 states, WA, NT & into Qld - possibly even NSW, Vic & SA! Who knows where we'll end up!!

On our travels of course we had to stop here, we came for the cache but ended up at the pub for lunch, stealth was required as is was muggle central today but our goal was achieved and the cache returned with log signed, thanks for placing this fun cache
Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi.
Spending the night in Daly Waters as we head back south after visiting the NT for a few weeks. Wandered up and down the main street, but there were just way too many muggles around to be able to make the find even though I knew exactly where the cache would be.
So later that night, wandered back up the street, past a dozen or so people singing in the seats at the front of the pub. Reached GZ, and reached in, and put hand on the cache in the first spot I felt. Gotta love that. Took the cache for a wander to sign it out of sight of the carousing muggles. Signing duties done and wandered back past GZ and replaced the cache in one swift movement without even stopping, and headed back to our accommodation for the night, and then onto heartbreak Hotel in the morning.

Travelling with richlink from Perth to Darwin along the west coast and returning to Perth through the centre and the Nullarbor. Today, we are in the unique and interesting town of Daly Waters. TFTC Liz&Bruce.
Travelling with iluvtrekking up the WA coast to NT and down through the Centre and home across the Nullabor. We left Mataranka early this morning, picking up a few finds before arriving at Daly Waters. Lovely camping ground here and very well organised. After setting up the caravan we made the short stroll to grab this hide - everything good. Greetings Liz & Bruce.
Heading North we made a extra loop to Daly Waters. Nice Spot here!
Greetings from Switzerland and thanks Liz and Bruce and The Mavericks for the cache.
Greetings from Switzerland and thanks Liz and Bruce and The Mavericks for the cache.
We set up camp at the pub this afternoon, had a look around at the many wandering animals, and easily found this cache. So many people in the area. TFTC
Day 41 of our greynomad trip up north and after a the JLWEvents, a tour of Maralinga and caching to claim LGAs in the Eyre Peninsula, we are attempting to escape the southern weather that has been wet and windy.
While Greg did the "walk of shame" I made this find much harder than it should have been.

Found while here for for overnight stop what an amazing place. Loved it gave point for this joint given . TFTC
Found after dinner on the way back to our salubrious accommodation.
Thanks Liz and Bruce
Our Northern Territory journey began in Darwin around 3am after a very delayed flight. We drove as far north as Fresh Water Camp (northeast of Darwin), followed by a loop to Liberated Cox (out to the west) and Litchfield National Park returning to Darwin. We then headed south with overnight stops at Katherine, Daly Waters and Devils Marbles before reaching our southernmost accommodation at Erldunda. From here we did a day trip to Lamberts Gravitational Centre on onward past Finke. Our last couple of days were in Alice Springs with a side trip via Hermannsburg and Glen Helen, all up covering just under 3800km. My thanks to all the COs with hides throughout the territory for helping make our trip so enjoyable.
Thanks Liz and Bruce

This was our last cache of the day before we turned in for the night, this place is interesting lets say.
This trip was sort of in place of a trip to a Mega that got canceled due to accommodation problems, I was quite happy when Goose said do you fancy to caching break in the Northern Territory as this would be the last State or Territory for me in Australia.
Our plan was to fly into Darwin on the Friday night have a couple days in the area then start heading South stopping overnight whenever we needed to, our next goal was the drive to the geographic centre of Australia at Lambert Centre and then head back to Alice to fly home ten days later.
We both had a great trip finding some important old caches, large ones and the odd clever one too, we found Ammo Cans all over the place which was nice as i think we have found most of the ones at home in Tassie.
Thanks for the cache.

In an obvious spot, with lots of muggles around, but retrieved successfully. TFTC!
Town was busy today, so much so I decided Larrimah would be a better option for lunch. No problems finding the cache after looking in the wrong spots first.
Thanks for the cache Liz and Bruce.

A 2 month 11,000km road trip up north to Darwin where it’s a lot warmer than here. Mrs Boomajarril &I packed up the caravan, the geo-dogs, and left the 9°C weather behind. Found with new players Team Betsy at 11.45am before lunch at the Pub.
We are spending a night in daily waters, and were definitely not expecting the quirkiness of this place.
It was absolutely alive today, with so many travellers.
Live music at the pub and the bougainvillea was in bright flower.
A wonderful stopping place. Great history and some good laughs.
Thanks Liz and Bruce. Thanks Mavericks for maintenance.
A FP added.

Quick find, thanks to the hint. Daly Waters is quite a quirky pub. So glad I had the opportunity to visit
Catching up on some late logs, now that I have time, while travelling.
We are on the road travelling up through central Australian and down the coast of WA. I hope to grab a few caches along the way.
Found this before having a drink at the Daly Waters pub. So much interesting history around this area and also very busy with travelers today.
Thanks Liz and Bruce (maintenance by The Mavericks) for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

My first trip to Daly Waters and made a quick find today plus a pathtag to add to my finds. Cache all ok.
TFTC. Stealth required as the pub was a hive of activity. Happy to say mission accomplished.
I was sure this one was still there because we have just been there and put out a new container and log. The person that put the Needs Maintenance has subsequently found the cache, their 5th find.
Returned after 40 years when my mum owned the pub in the early 80's, talk about memory lane! TFTC

It was there were I expected. Had to tie my shoes to have a look. I'm driving down from Darwin and stopped here. Gorgeous little town, tftc!
After almost 9 weeks on the road, it was time to head back home to Adelaide.
On this trip I have safely travelled through four states/territories and somehow managed to avoid the everchanging and unpredictable Covid hotspots, lockdowns, quarantine and other restrictions.
I started from Adelaide at the beginning of July and travelled on my own for 3 1/2 weeks through outback NSW into Queensland and up the coast to Cairns where I met up with FeatherWaite and another friend from Hobart. For the next 3 weeks we travelled up the tip of Cape York and Thursday Island and back to Cairns, then headed our separate ways. I then travelled west across the bottom of the Gulf to Roper Bar and Mataranka with a few side trips, and am now heading south again.
I have visited some some fantastic places, particularly in the national parks and other remote natural areas, and I’ve seen a range of wildlife. I’ve also managed to find quite a few caches along the way!
I passed through Daly Waters late in the afternoon and stopped for a look around and a walk along the Heritage Trail. There is some really interesting history in the broader area. However Territory Day celebrations had been moved from 1 July to today this year and the pub, and the wall-to-wall caravans and people were pretty unappealling. So after finding the cache, it was off to find somewhere more pleasant to camp for the night.
Thanks Liz and Bruce for the cache.

I could not believe how busy Daly Waters is. We were going to camp here but changed our minds. Too frenetic for us. So we ended up 5kms down the road at a free camp. I did love finding the cache though.
TFTC. A nice quick find. Went and had a cold shower after finding the cache. Now sitting in the bar in the cool and waiting for a Barra for dinner.
