Thanks for my first find! Kids were bummed about the Shepherd one being missing.. so this one was special for our adhd kiddos.
Another cool little spot that we would never have come across if it wasn't for geocaching!
Quick n easy find here. Thanks for bringing me to the tower. Found with teamrosenz and Greermae23. No TB to be found here though. TFTC
Came here because irondale wanted to look at the historic hot springs hotel and she didnt want to use the map. Okaaaaay I said, then let her pick her way and then when we ended up here in Trau I said hey well lets find the caches here anyway. The tower was pretty cool and the rain had started falling heavily when we got here so a Quick grab, sign, replace and back in the car TFTC
Out on a mission to clean up a few loose caches in near by towns. Nice quick find, never knew this tower was here. TFtC
We are passing through Tirau today on our way to Taupo and we decided to stop to have a bit of a walk around and clean up a few caches. This one was pretty straight forward today
Making our way back from Auckland and made a pit stop in Tirau grabbing this one along the way! TFTC!
Day 12 Rotorua to New Plymouth, New Zealand. It was a great drive through the winding roads down to New Plymouth while stopping for a few caches along the way.We traveled through Tirau the previous day on the way to Hobbiton and couldnt resist stopping again for a coffee, lunch and of course caches. An interesting piece of Tirau history.Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks for the bonus cache radionut50 #7,890
Nice bit of history. Very few railway water towers are left in the UK when lines are dismantled but we have lots of old track beds left as public bridleways. Quick find and took copy trackable. Tftc
Velk cesta do Ocenie - den 74 - Rotorua, Bay of Plenty - Auckland, Auckland, North Island, Nov Zland (autem asi 250 km) Od rna bylo absolutn odporn - edo a cel den d. A jet ke vemu prv dsn lilo. It was nasty and raining all day. I set off in the direction of Auckland and found only a few drive-in caches along the way when the rain eased a bit. Before Auckland, I drove around a few challenges on side roads and then adventurously hunted a 2 5/5 challenge in the city on a busy 4-lane road without sidewalks. It was a bit of a struggle, but I made it. Then I had my own challenge to find the street with the villa where I sleep without car navigation, but I managed to do that after a bit of wandering. I was as wet as a water sprite. Thanks to everyone for their caches and greetings from the Czech Republic.

Cute tower and piece of history I would never have stopped by to visit if it wasn't for geocaching. Easy find at GZ.On our way to Rotorua today from Hamilton we stop in Cambridge to visit a friend for lunch before travelling via Tirau. Unfortunately State Highway 1 was closed part of the way so we had to backtrack a few kms to get back to Tirau. What another beautiful sunny summers day for geocaching.
Dieser Cache konnte heute erfolgreich geloggt werden.Danke an den owner fr's legen und pflegen TFTC Schmerzbefreit1x TB in
Found after visiting Hobbiton. This was a quick and easy find close to the old tower. TFTC. My find no. 8.136. The cache is dry and in good condition.
We stopped off here on our way to Taupo and made a nice quick find.We took some time to admire the tower too. Its one of these interesting spots that we would never have visited had it not been for geocaching. Thanks for bringing us here.
Day one of an extra long weekend and time for a little road trip / holiday with some of the team SEAC crew. After a stretch of the legs in town we drove up here for a look. Unfortunately even with some previous finders in the group we were unsuccessful today
A group of 5 caching friends from Auckland headed down for an extended long weekend of caching in the Manawatu and Horowhenua. Tirau was a good place for a stop and stretch of the legs, and after completing the nearby ad lab we headed here to hopefully make a find. Unfortunately we were not successful today, even with advice from one of the group who was a previous finder. We will have to search again next time we are heading south.
Small group of caching buddies drove down from Auckland for the long weekend, and headed for Palmerston North area. Sorry for the generic posts, but we had so many caches to find.Had a great time, with so many laughs. Thanks to all the Cache owners who placed the caches. All logs signed "SEAC" or "Team Seac"
Very disappointed here as hint so explicit but although we poked through the levels no sign of the cache.
Great hint and a quick find while making a brief stop here, Thanks for the interesting location, cheers
A plan was made with Gorby and tramyard to travel down from Auckland to Turangi for a celebration event at Stump Bay on the 27th before heading up to camp at Huntly and attending a celebration event on the 28th. In total, we traveled 740km over the two days.
Very interesting structure here, which I found fascinating.

On a 2 day adventure with tramyard and our very reliable and willing driver in her car, the famous Aiden29! We went down to Turangi for FMZ's and partner's event, then we have whizzed back up this way in Tirau to do an ad lab, bonus and this cache too.
Amazing tower this one, lots of detail to it and I thought it was impressive! Thanks for bringing us here. Now off to Huntly to stay the night camping.

En vacances pour une dizaine de jours en NZ, nous geocachons au hasard de nos déplacements et de la proximité de caches.
que c'est bon de renouer avec ce jeu (peu de caches en Polynésie)

Was found under quite a lot of tree debris. Snail clinging to the side of the box at first, lots of goodies inside
Heading home from Morrinsville to the Kāpiti Coast today. Stopped at Tirau to do an Ad Lab and to pick up a few ‘regular’ cache or two as well. This was one of them. Found it reasonably quickly. #5625. TFTC.
Just starting out geocaching and to have one so close to home was so cool! The cache itself was really well hidden! Really enjoyed this one!
A bit of a rumage to find this one but not to difficult. We enjoyed learning the history. Thankyou for the cache and the information.
Naughty trackable missy mooloo ended up behind bars.

Haha should of read the hint as I was looking in the wrong cabbage tree. Doh! To be fair it's calving and I'm tired lol. Just a quick stop on the way into the shops at tirau. Hankering for a nice cold g&t, was what I was feeling. Stopping and finding this cache topped off a great but tiring day. Beautiful weather I must say today so can't complain! Hardly feels like winter. TFTC!
Woo-hoo! I found it! I didn't find it last time, but I explored the website again learned a little bit more, used the hint and found it!! I had just leaned about trackables too and someone deposited one in-between me not finding it and finding it, so will be excited to take it to its next destination!
Looked hard, but couldn't find anything that looked like a brown box. Next time maybe!
Cool spot I never knew about. Tftc. Also got to introduce a newbie to their first TB
Love these pieces of old railroad history and this water tower is a fine example. I would never have known it was there without this cache being placed. So thanks for that.
Little tough to find I didn't take or write my name but I hope a little kid finds my treasure and it makes there day
On a road trip to Wellington today and needed to stop for petrol, I had a look and it seems this is the one cache in Tirau we had not yet stopped at. It's a beautiful day, we left early enough to make a few stops so we found ourselves at GZ. What a cool looking tower! Thanks for bringing it to our attention with this cache radionut50. Have definitely learned something. As we continued driving we saw a similar structure and I said, oh, we must be in Lichfield! I looked up on the map where we were and sure enough we had just passed the second tower mentioned in the cache page. Think this one looks much prettier though. Thank you for the extra knowledge and chance to stretch our, and the dog's, legs.
The Freezer Mice strike again!
Out with the kids to grab a few caches today, and this one was on the list.
No clue required as master 8 soon had the treasure in hand.
TNLN, TFTC.
