Realized last night while I ate my really excellent pizza, that there was a cache only 34 feet away by my GPS. There were too many Muggles about afterward to grab this one in the dark, but I came back this morning and made quick work of it. TFTC!
After returning from our visit to the Historic site in Port Arthur, I decided to do some geocaching. On foot that was. After a strengthening walk uphill I arrived at GZ. And there it was quite easy to find the cache. Nice hiding place and a nice place to stay for a little while after the climb. TFTC.

#294 - 07:00; Out for an earlyish morning walk to try and log a puzzle cache. I needed a rest after the hill climb I had just done, this cache was nearby, and the location was just what the doctor ordered . Having cleared most of the traditional caches around the CBD while down here on holidays in January, I needed to spread out a bit more if I was to find any on this flying visit. Some nice houses up this way and because of the location, away from the worst of the traffic. TFTC
Parked down near the Hill St park and walked up to the corner. As Peter put his hand on the cache the shopkeeper came out with a smile, knowing full well what we looking for. We told him that he featured in a recent log entry which brought a further grin. TFTC Budgietas
Thanks nice quick one when walking down to the Taste Festival

Another successful jaunt fer our hero an' Cap'n, SoD! Wit' muggles everywhere, 'e inconspicuously wandered up an' snatched it, wit' bypassers none tha' wiser...once 'e worked out 'is left an' right.
The guy in the shop was curious, as he has seen folk
hanging around his door. So we told him what we were doing
and he was interested. Gave the geocaching.com web addy
and left him to find another

Found with Ainstar and Scottymyth! Nice easy find, but unsure what's happening about the clues... TFTC!
Went to cache location as concerned about two containers. Looks like a mainlander could not find the cache and replaced it. Hmmmm. Anyway removed the additional container and moved the hint as the finale is gone.
Nice easy find on this lovely day while holidaying with geodaughter and partner. Very, very windy. We found two containers so we signed both and got the clue.

It was all quiet here today - and the neaby structure was just what I needed.

I had commitments next week in Hobart, So it was a quick and easy decision to head across early for sightseeing and caching long weekend.. So it was all planned.. I started at Hobart Airport early on Saturday and was loosely en route to the International Geocaching Day event (GC3RMH6) in Hobart. I later headed as far south as South Tasmania 1 (GC408). I had a blast taking in not only the caches but also the sights and sounds. My apologies to the cache owners for my very generic logs, Lots of caches were awesome, however all deserve more than this boring paragraph that I'm devoting.. I picked out lots of drive bys, however also slowed down for the odd multi or puzzle (solved in the field). Thanks to all cache owners for the wonderful caches, great locations and views and all the effort that has gone into the hides. I have taken a bunch of photos and will upload them in the coming week or so.. Back home now I'm slowly catching up on the logging.. I am looking forward to another tip back accross the straight to collect a whole lot of caches that I overlooked. Finds mostly fit into the #2800 - #2900 range.. Thanks for the cache
That had to be the hardest one as a shop owner or two were getting deliveries. Don't think I was to noticeable.
Cool kids found this quickly in spite of freezing drizzle. We figured the code was 'silver J'
Found with Deadneck, despite Muggle shop owner giving us funny looks.
No sign of a clue (J=?)

Another quick grab during a lunch break from the Scrabble championships. Clue for the final is missing, no problem four us as we probably won't have time to great them all. SL TFTC
When arriving at the GZ, I realized there is an old man sitting on a bench so I pass by as if not interested in the area at all.
What to do? I take my camera and pretend to take pictures: I keep the info about the caches in a photo, so I look at the hint... 6th from the left. 6th what? I look around to find things with segments... it could be that bench where the man is sitting! I decide to sit next to him, and open a map of Hobart pretending to look at it, but my eyes are somewhere else and I spot it: the man is sitting just on the left of it, I am on the right. I could wait or grab it, he is very distracted by what is going on the street: people, cars... what if they see me from the shop behind? They might think I am stealing the man's wallet.
I decide to have a go... damn this magnet is so strong, but I manage to pull it out, nobody saw me. Good job. Now I the log is hard to come out so I fiddle with it inside my back pack, extract the log and sign it.
Now how to replace it? Whit such a strong magnet it is going to make a strong metallic noise!
So I place it under me and start sliding it to the left... 3 segments more to reach the 6th... but the man leaves, nobody in the street, my laces need to be done, the cache is in place again.
Thank you for the cache.

This cache was found as part of a big day of caching the Hobart area with lots of caches found and many interesting sites seen and visited.
A big thanks to my dedicated driver/navigator, who played hard ball and gave no hints and only got out of the car at the caches he hadn't found, and my little mate who came to most of the finds with me.

Today Brucie and Freddo had the all clear to have a big day of caching while Sally, two of the tadpoles and I went to the Salamanca Markets. They made the most of it and this was one of the caches they successfully targetted - thankyou.
went to the cache site today and the cache was gone..... was only going to replace the number code and ended up replacing whole cache.
anyway cache is good now with fresh log sheet and code letter and number.

We were the 3rd lot here today after Freddo & Liz and Bruce. Unfortunately, the code is missing. We have 9 and need the 10th!! SL TFTC
We too had to give up as the lady in the video shop was eying us suspiciously! Couldn't find it though even with the clue.
Loitered in the area until the strange looks we were getting from the people sitting in the car opposite got to be more than we could bear.
Turnaround every now and then I get a little bit nervous that a muggle might see me
Turnaround every now and then I find another challenge waiting to deceive me
Turnaround every now and then I look I little bit shifty as I wander back and forth
Turnaround every now and then to check that no one saw me hunting here and there
Turnaround bright eyes every now and then I log a find
And I thank you for the cache.....
Last one in the series ticked off in between frog hunting, no clue inside but had all the others so had a guess Thanks Budgie

Nice Sunday morning walk. Dunno about a "Total Eclipse of the Heart" but it certainly almost gave me a heart attack coming from the steep Patrick Street accent. Ah well. Should help me lose weight. Interesting film rental shop...

Found with theprrthvan, Pa & fianceƩ. Greetings from Perth WA. Local kids were playing with the cache, as we approached they took off.
Advising that the TEOTH clue has gone missing, did this one travelling with Drat1964 who was here a while ago & it was inside then. Cheers
A quiet Sunday afternoon visit and we found it. But the sought after clue is missing. Will contact Budgietas direct to advise. TFTC

A pretty simpering hide but surrounded by constant muggles on this busy roundabout with the CID shop and drive by coffee shop patrons.
The video muggle was the only real issue at GZ. Grabbed and logged cache while he was busy serving a customer! TFTC!
The last for me to collect for the series before heading for a well earned coffee, to decipher the final destination. TFTC
Great hiding place, my 7 year old geokid found it, but as for the clue, we are 'clueless as to what to do next'
After picking Snuva up early from work on a Friday, what else was there to do but go find a cache or ten! With Snuva navigating, we started our afternoon.
Thanks for this cache.
Thanks for this cache.
The first find of the afternoon once MullinitOvr picked me up from work. A nice quick find!

This one was slightly different to the others, found easily though by following the clue. Can recommend the eatery nearby. TFTC.
Find 1 of 3 for the morning walk with a bit of caching while down here for work. Found pretty easy while dodging a muggle with muggle dog. Had just retrieved the cache and a rubbish truck muggle turned up, so I made good of a booth nearby to sign the log TFTC. Oh, did not spot the clue in this one like I found an another of the series.

Pulled up and Wife headed over this one was totally different from all the rest in the series and is enough to make you need to sit down and rest before signing log and moving on.

Found at night was disturbed by a group of drunk teenages. They were too pissed to catch me out.
I'd already got back to my accomodation that I was staying the night at, checked my caching numbers for the day and I was 1 cache off an even 30, so I had to grab this easy one that was fairly close by Noone around at night so no challenge, and took a photo of the code number that I will never use.
My first find of the series, and easily my most ridiculous attempt at trying to retrieve a cache discreetly in a long while... lots of fun!
A bit of a change for me this time. No hills to climb, codes to solve or even trigonometry problems to wrestle with. Just a gentle stroll and a chance to sit and watch many, many, many muggles. TFTC, it was grabbed during a lull in the traffic.
Great grab today, parked right outside the video shop, no one to be seen around and a very quick find, love these ones, thanks
Went to log the final cache for this series and realised I hadn't logged J. I found it about a week and a half ago but can't remember the date! Bugger! Better late than never I guess.
Time to go around and knock this series off. first one down, with the old need to tie my shoelace trick.
Found this one en route to Bayview Villas - a great place to stay in Hobart. Neatly placed and easily found. Left pathtag. TFTC.
great high muggle cache, always fun to do...make me feel like a cold war spy...lol...tftc
