I've been scoping this one for a few weeks but needed sun, but not too much summer fun lol, and a desire to walk up a hill for some cardio. Today was the day! Glad I wore long pants but actually not needed after k recalibrated a d trusted my geocaching instincts. Cache was easily located, 9m from posted coords, and log signed. All in good order! TFTC.
Nice bit of cardio heading up hill for this one - doesn't take much to make my calves burn! Cache in good order, no problems finding with Aurora11511, who I had just picked up from a friend's house. We did search more widely than we needed to, having more interaction with scratchy things than necessary, before locating the cache. Dropped in 2 trackables. We took the 'road' walking track option in and out, as the steeper-but-shorter slope had a 'grass-passing-as-mudslide' vibe about it! TFTC YetiNZ
Early morning trip up here. Was faced with a whole lot of blackberry and gorse to contend with, found a clear way in though straight to the cache! Thanks Hurrricane Luke and Yeti
It's yet another size Regular dot-day. They seem to be coming thick and fast at the moment, about every 2 days. I will be really glad when this bout is over.Anyway it's a Friday, so somewhere achievable after work. I am running out of options with about 14 midweek dot-days to go and only about 7 viable caches. But I have some ideas on how to fix that. At least partially anyway. But first today - this cache. Took the train into town and then another train out to Keneperu, and then a short walk to here. Nice easy find. Getting out was a problem though. There were only two strands of blackberry, and I think I got tangled in every one of them. Twice! Took three times as long to get out of the trees as it took to get in.Many thanks for the cache. Didn't see much view (aside from the three cell towers). Probably because I didn't look. Nice night scene of Keneperu Station though (attached)Yay, another dot day done, just 26 to go.On the way back to Keneperu Station I stopped off for another find, but that was a big fat DNF. That's okay, it was this cache I was really after.
#177. Another easy find on a night walk. Cool place to sit and sign log. Took Rugby League NRL card. TFTC.
It's pretty straightforward.
Took a trackable. That's my first time taking one.
It's a geotrackable.com one. I'm not sure if it's the same as geocaching.com.
Probably not.
Cheers.

Well that was a bit of a trek in the sun
I’m about to move out of Tawa for good so thought I’d better try and find this one.
After the uphill walk, it then took me a while to find the hint object. I found one that was not the right one, so that wasted some time. Re-reading the logs, I found one that helped so tried a different area and aha!
Very pleased to find this.
I left a trackable that I’ve had for a while.
Thanks for the cache and the exercise!

On a mission for two Grenada North caches today. The first was this lovely walk up to the water tank, a common type of cache and one where I always feel like I'm tresspassing when doing them. Luckily, all was quiet, and cache was in hand after some careful observation. Tftc!
Out and about finding a few caches with Talla64 and JustlookingOO on a beautiful sunny winter's day. This was the first of the caches planned for the day, and it was a quick find. My phone GPS was a little bit wayward at first, probably because of the overhead lines, but it settled down after a little while. Thanks for the cache SAROC. All good here.
Out and about with Flowerydaze and Justlooking00 with a list of caches to find. This one gave the legs a workout but with lovely views when we reached GZ. TFTC Hurricane Luke/SAROC.
Bumped into a yeti up the road, thankfully it was friendly, and we decided to scale the hill together. Quick find by the shaggy one (after my last visit stymied by construction in 2017). Thanks Hurricane Luke / SAROC!
As I emerged from the Labyrinth of Woodburn reserve, I saw a man with no shoes lurking about in a cacherly like fashion. Quick chat and we embarked on a short slog up the nearby hill to another cache that neither had previously made it too. I headed into the prickly area at first and then noticed the hint object outside that area so went back around and found the cache, log signed all safe and dry, TFTC.
8417. An easy find after a short climb up the hill. Giving my new knee a workout! No need to even go near any gorse! Thanks for the cache. Rodney.
Well that one started off a bit pricklier than needed! Thanks for a good workout tho- and on a lovely evening too!
Look for the path of least prickles! Got it, despite minimal arm and leg coverage. TFTF and thanks for the calf workout!
The perfect cache for me today, to turn my holiday caching streak into a record streak (now 21 days in a row!!) Nice and easy to get to and nice and easy to find. Perfect! TFTC.
Based on the hint we knew what we were looking for but took a while to spot it a couple of metres into the undergrowth. Not too prickly to get close enough to retrieve the cache.
A good hiding spot! Had me scratching my head until right on top of GZ. All good in cache, picked up TB. Tftc!
Quick walk up to the towers with eldest son. We decided on the gravel path as the grassy slope was covered in dew and looked like it would have been very slippery. A quick find once we got up the top, nice hiding spot. The cache and log book are in very good condition. TFTC
A nice bit of exercise thanks and an easy find under the spiky stuff The views in the images seem to have disappeared over the years The native trees are flourishing TFTC
On the way from Wellington to Mt. Taranaki we stopped for this cache to rescue the contained TB from a Bore Out. Cache was in good condition. Picked up TB, left another TB.

Visited the geocache this afternoon. Cache location is now outside of the fences and in very good condition. Happy finding. Watch out for the spiky stuff.
Dropped off a TB so it can continue its journeys.

I thought there might be some kind of view from there but not really. There's a view of a supermarket and the motorway from the steep track if that does anything for you. Great cell reception though!
It's a glorious morning for a brisk walk in the sunshine. There's frost softening on the trees but there's enough uphill to keep me warm. An easy find at GZ - no real problems with gorse today. I snapped a quick photo of the neighbours taking an interest in me, and home.

Nice spot. Tricky find with GPS all over the place. No encounters of the prickly kind. TFTC
All dry in the cache.
All dry in the cache.
Went up there mid-afternoon, only to stumble across a digger, two trucks and three other vehicles. It was all action, much to my surprise considering I was calculating on it being a quiet, isolated spot! Quickly abandoned the idea of looking for anything, so took a photo of the cattle in the adjoining property instead. Returned the same evening around 7.30pm to the quiet, isolated spot I'd expected it to be earlier. Found the cache without too much effort, gorse not really a problem. #1020. TFTC.
A pleasant walk on a nice early evening just before sunset.
Looked at what I thought was the obvious first but after just managing to avoid the brambles I adjusted my thinking slightly and soon spotted a short geo trail though I still got slightly attacked by dead gorse.
Nice spot in an area I was unfamiliar with, gets a favorite point.

Lovely quick run up the track tonight. Easy find when you look in the right place lol TFTC
#1221. Out for the daily caching fix and being fine for once, I decided a walk in the dark to the Tawa cell towers was the best option tonight. A nice easy stroll up a sealed lane and I was soon up at the towers and water tanks. Finding the cache did take a few minutes with lots of gorse patches to check. I tried to get behind them from the paddock and discovered to my cost an old water trough buried in the long grass but full of water. Splosh went the shoes! Retreat. Tried another path and saw a likely hiding spot. Soon after had the cache in hand. Sweet. Signed the dry logbook and then back down the path to the car. TFTC
A nice quick find on a sunny winter's Sunday. Had come over to Tawa as I could see a batch of little green boxes on my PC screen that needed collecting. Just before I turned off I remembered I still had this one to collect as well. Nice little yomp up the hill, and the cache was a supper quick find. all in good condition.
TFTC!

A fairly quick find, after walking up the road, not taking the direct route. TFTC
Okay so it turns out there are three possible access points to the cache. The first takes you through head high gorse with thorns the size of ice-cream cones. The second has you crawling through gorse and the third is a simple stride over grass. I tried the grass option, having dragged myself through the first two options. Still pulling out thorns half an hour later
Log signed though and a nice distraction from work on a sunny afternoon. TFTC

#1093 Parked at the end of the service road and decided to go for the direct route- quite the leg workout! GPS took a while to settle but we spotted the hint object after a little search. Nice cache for a leg stretch and interesting spot. TFTC.
PHEW! that was a walk and a half! accompanied by Wafflekitties! quick find in the dark! thanks
Timed to perfection. Heavy rain all morning. Stopped just as I arrived nearby. Cache quickly found. Nice hide. Trackable grabbed. Walked back down hill and rain just starting again. TFTC
Found it today. Fine day today (apart from the wind), sat down for a while and enjoyed the view after locating the cache. TFTC to the owner
Cache # 1,179 - After the earlier failure today at the Willowbank Treasure Hunt cache, we had to find another one nearby to keep my 100 day challenge on track. Been meaning to do this but a little leery of the "steep" written into the description. Not that bad, and Violet Butterfly and I quickly made it to the top and easily located the cache. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Found today with Wandering Dragons. Interesting spot! Thanks.
Cache # 428

Found the cache without much trouble and then said hello to the curious highland cattle including babies in the next door paddock. TFTC
After work wander up the sealed path.
Nice high place with some good view points.

Find #55 for the BAMmJams - took the littlies for a wander up here before dinner tonight. Master 4 strode straight up, but Master 2 wanted to stop and inspect every stone on the path the whole way! Got to the top and the GPSr pointed us straight to the right place. TFTC - we took a magnetic pirate face out, and put a dice in. Also took the turtle GC to move on to a new home (our first trackable move, so hope we do it right!)
Nice and easy find after a little uphill stroll and cool views of new supermarket. +TB turtle + GC turtle

Saturday afternoon caching. This one on the list 'to do'.
Pays to get on the right side, i.e. correct side, of the fence if you are to avoid the blackberry and gorse.
Straightforward find, cache quite damp but log OK, log signed and cache re-hidden safely.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

Like a previous log the blackberries were ripe and delicious. Nice hide. TFTC
Ankle High blackberries, and gorse, ooo goody! GPS playing up, and wearing sandals meant I chickened out...
Took us ages to make it to the top as we were greatly distracted by the exceptionally numerous and very sweet blackberries. Dropped off 'Riser5's #1 NZ Flag Earthquake Geocoin'. TFTC
Was going for a loop walk from home to pick up a puzzle cache and thought I'd just go up the watertank track and then through to the culdesac close to this cache.
Past the two shipping containers there is a house just about completed so not to sure what is going to happen to the access from the culdesac when residents move in which didn't look to far away.
Could pay to keep an eye on from time to time and possible access may end up only being from the watertank track.

Virtual Allie : "I really don't want to go in that gorse but it wants me to, ooh there it is!"
Short harp walk up the hill, was dreading the gorse but more of a reccy + there it was! With scottjpalmer. TFTC
good walk up hill on sunny less windy evening. View getting overgrown. easy find. TFTC
Thought this cache was very nicely hidden. Good views, but of course the usual house being built on the ridge not far away! TFTC
Great view from these towers on a fine day, or even a nice clear evening, but not the nicest if the weather turns. Good hide and all well in the cache. TFTC
Usual story for a Tuesday arvo - drop the daughter at dancing and head for the closest cache. Nice easy find. TFTC
7360 A quick stroll up the hill to grab a nicely hidden cache, thanks for the placement.
Spied the Cell Towers from Redwood Park's cache, and walked over. Without map or GPS a fourth find that day may have been a pipedream but a second walk around with hint in mind soon revealed the cache location, with cache visible. Rehid less obviously. SL 1015 and enjoyed the view. TFTC
An interesting spot up here, never realised there was a track. Also noticed the excess of padlocks on the gate - seemed a little extreme! TFTC.
First find of an afternoon caching in the Grenada North area. The afternoon started badly when I goofed after coming off the motorway (was heading north from the Ngauranga gorge), instead of turning right at the roundabout, went straight through and ended up back on the motorway again. In my defence, it was my first visit to Grenada North! So after an unscheduled visit to Porirua (the next exit), we finally made it.
Good views from cache site and a nice easy find.
We were intrigued by the number of padlocks on the gate by the parking spot - 11 in total.

#2219. Very interesting spot; thanks for putting a cache here to bring us here. TFTC. Took British Bobby coin.
Tried using the app on my new Android phone for this one. Not used to it yet, so had me walking in circles for a few minutes. Got there eventually! Great views. Dropped British Bobby GC. TFTC
Lovely sunny day to walk up the top of this one, took the longer sealed track up and the shorter grassy track back down. Dropped off MallorGeo coin and took Canadian Postal Bear TB and US Flag Micro to continue their journeys. SL TFTC and the views.
I found an easier way to the cache but assumed it was private property and took the recommended track.Found ok.Thanks.
5th for the day. my daughter & i took the dog for a walk up to the tower, nice views. TFTC
A nice little walk up on a great sunny day.
Took the steep way up and the easy way down.
