Bro this was so much fun.. the app was a bit messed up so we did go a bit too far into the forest but we did have a lot of fun
I am down under for the very first time. Visiting Australia has always been a dream of mine, and I cannot believe it has come true. Australia's nature and wildlife really captivated me. Over three weeks, I saw many wonderful beaches, sunsets, animals such as , and I found great geocaches. My tour guide was mostly geocaching, and through it, I discovered many beautiful places I wouldnt have seen without our great hobby. I mainly stayed in Brisbane but also visited other gorgeous places such as Noosa Heads and Springbrook. I spent a few days on the Gold Coast and Moreton Island, and I went to New South Wales to have visited a second state in Australia. During my stay, the winter and early spring in Queensland were very warm, the sun shone every single day, and I did not see a single drop of rain. My time down under was so beautiful and unforgettable. Australia is such a stunning country! Today I spent another day in Brisbane. I really like this city and I discovered beautiful places. In the morning I spent some time in the city centre and I hosted an event. After that I went to the oldie "Queens land". What a day! I also looked for many geocaches like this one. After GC8E I stopped here. I have seen many kangaroos in this forest. At GZ I found the cache. After signing the log I put the container back as found. Thank you for this geocache says Mr. J. Cacher from the other side of the world
Quick find with dry log. Put it in a plastic bag just really n case! Number fourteen for today and still haven't got to my planned destination - the earthcache. Geodog Muffin and I have walked 7km so far! TFTC
Nice find on a lovely afternoon stroll through Karawatha. Thanks for the cache and
8/1/2024 Find #6793It is the last week of holidays for me. And I am determined to get out and have some fun. And after a slow and rainy start to the day, I finally decided I really should make the most of it, drizzle or not. So I looked at my special list Ive made of caches I need to get by mates. I had two in this area to target and it was only a short drive from my previous location, and just a bit of a walk. I figured it would fill in the last of my free time today nicely before having to collect 1MinnieMooJnr from work. It was a nice speedy find on this one in just the slightest drizzle. Thanks for the cache Crew 153.
After work today, we went for a wander and cache in Karawatha Forest. Great Park to walk around and well-maintained tracks, and not too busy for a Monday either. All caches found, signed and returned. TFTC
Caching with RoddyC and patrol14.After picking up the FTF in the area, we decided we would pick up some of my unfound dots. This was our last for the morning ,(or was it,) .......TFTCache Crew 153
Danke fr's Austfteln, Herlocken, Verstecken und Pflegen !Thank you very much for luring us here as well as for hiding and maintaining the cache !....../ ).....' /---' (_____.TFTC . Found cache outside of hidey hole. Maybe birds had removed replaced and covered with bush camo. Tftc.
Have it a fresh bag, as the old bag was shredded, but it really needs a new case.
Just a bag now. Seems to have been the case for a while now.

Nice easy find. Will need a protective container soon as well as a new log. Tftc!
A quick find here. There is only a plastic bag for this one. Log etc. Is still good. TFTC Crew153
As others have said in pretty bad way. Added a weather proof log to get through til maintainence run. TFTC
It is in a very bad condition. We are planning to come back and change the container and put something in it.
This one needs some love. It is currently a containerless cache but with all the minimum requirements. Thankyou for bringing me back to Karawatha.
This area is turning out to be a nice way for me to continue on my challenges and grab easy finds that are not hard to get to. Today I got on the bike and rode to these couple. It was handy that the council guys had the gate open so I just rode in and out very quickly. I still have a few more to do in this area and will get to them at another time.
I signed the log and replaced as found and continued on with my tasks for the day. Thanks for the hides, all good with this one.

All nicely tucked in a black plastic bag - a surprising container but effective enough.
No cache container but Shazzar66 found the inners. Evidence of muggle activity here, with some blankets nearby. TFTC
TFTC!! No container
Found the log and treasures and signed but no container so things were wet
Couldn't even leave a mushroom
Picture is how I found the cache.

There is no container.
The book is too wet to write in, not even in a plastic bag!

Found it but it wasn’t a container was just a bunch of moldy wet clip seal bags with a notepad in it and a few ‘treasures’
We managed to get out again and find a few more of this series.

I have returned to Karawatha Forest for the third time this month in an attempt to clear up all the amazing caches in this fabulous forest. Travelling on foot I have collected 14 today. Oh how I envy those who can scoot around on their bikes. Hopefully I am almost finished with my collecting here. TFTC
while attending the "Queens land- 21 years on" event today. We decided to grab ourselves some caches and earn the cake we just ate!
We took a fair walk around Karawatha Forest this was cache number 14/17 for the day. TFTC

Today, the plan was mountain biking around Karawatha Forest in Logan, to celebrate the 21st anniversary of geocache *Queens Land* with a scheduled community celebration event. After attending the morning photograph and cake session, I headed out west following the Ironbark Circuit. I then proceeded in a general anti-clockwise direction visiting lat&long junkie's favourite spot / virtual cache, and then riding south on Casuarina Trail, passing the quarry lake along the way. I then rode along the Maculata Trail, completing the Holden series (HS) trail. It was well past lunchtime by the time I finished riding approximately 30 km in distance, and after making a stop in the Kuraby Bushlands, I then found a few oldie geocaches in Karawatha Forest West. I closed out the day with a late lunch stop and a couple of geocaches in nearby Jack Pyle Park.
I wondered if someone was living near here, as there were a few knitted jumpers and blankets buried in amongst leaves. About 10-15 m away, I arrived at GZ, and I found a nice ammo can quickly. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Crew 153 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Here for the event and found on my way back to the Discovery centre. Everything but the log is quite wet in the tin. Tftc
Last find for today but I was happy to have found it. The log was a little wet and I had to stop my find when I was close to it as there was a cyclist near by that kept looking over at me. I think that he was wondering what I was doing till I made a motion behind a tree to look like I was using the tree as a bathroom and he took off. I think I have to do that from now on so people move on quicker.
Thanks for the hide.
Thanks for the hide.
After finding Frog Hollow, this was on the home stretch
I left a paper memo cube, in a resealable bag, took the Minion.
Tried to tidy up the cache, but may need some co tlc

Found @ 1129 13/06/21 - quick easy find. Nice hiding spot and love the contrast of the trees. TNLNSL TFTH P.S a little water in log book.
Another oldie by Crew153... it always piura a smile on my face when I find one of these containers... though it was a little disconcerting to be crouched in the bush only to be disturbed by the railway chimes...
Tftc.... replaced the snap lock bag and returned as found...

I took a Mountain Bike ride through this area a couple of months back, first time I’d ridden here. My MTB mates don’t cache so stopping to pick up little boxes and sign logs is not an option as catching up is just not on. Looking back at old logs it seems the last time I cached here was for the Queensland 10 years Event. Wow, now another 10 years has passed.
Today after a FB post on my intended ride I was joined by Triple Turmoil as my victim for the day. I do like making people suffer while they are out on a bike ride. Tripe T showed she was up to the challenge and we had a fun day out exploring the trails in the area. Mind there were some we ventured along that even I will not ride back there again.
Collected these on the way back to the cars. It had been a big day so riding a well formed trail was a blessing

Liked this. Knew exactly where it would be as soon as I got close to GZ. Left a bit of swag and a trackable.
