Heading up to Gizzy for another work deployment so grabbing some caches along the way This one popped up on my Cachly app as a lonely cache. Its been 213days since last found. Mihi ki a koe mo te keteroki # 562
I'm on a wee road trip to southern Hawkes Bay (or is to northern Wairarapa?) on an attempt to clear the Vikings Geoart, with a bit of freedom camping down at the coast. (Apologies for the generic logging)Today it's clearing the second half, starting from Prangahau, up over Te Uri Road and then back home down through the Wairarapa (where there's a couple of new challenges to grab on the way).Easiest agapanthus search ever. All good here and TFTC.Find #6304 at 9 January 2024 12:33 pm
read hint and knew where we had to search.
found after a bit. cache all okay.

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)… We’re on a big Easter weekend excursion visiting Vikings and anything else in between.
Easter Friday: The agapanthus has certainly grown thick and dense over the years. We spotted the cache tucked away securely, and the plant was reluctant to let it go. After some coaxing, the cache came up for air. Thanks Skindo. TFTC.

31 December 2022 17:06 TFTC Skindo for placing this cache, number 12162 for me.
Day 3 of the holiday trip. Boys are cycling between Pahiatua and Waipukerau today, while I act as support crew and cache where I can.
This one was a DNF from a few years ago, so I was keen to see if I could rectify this situation. Nice and easy once I looked on the correct side!

Quick find where indicated. I hate agapanthus (horrible weed) so didn't take any care whatsoever while we were looking. TFTC Skindo!
Found when out for the evening in the area. Thanks Skindo for bringing us to this cache.
Been in Masterton for a week of work and now heading home using some of the back roads. Cleaning up a few missed caches. Lovely little church. Cache all fine. Lots of colourful summer flowers along the road side. Thanks Skindo for the smiley.
No need to apologise for the agapanthus. It was a case of lean over packed the leaves and there it was. TFTC
Quick find, quaint little church, quiet road on a warm spring Saturday afternoon. Thanks Skindo!
Another old church in the southern Hawkes Bay visited.
I accept your apology for the appapanthus. I'm not certain which is worse, this stuff or flax.
Cheers for the cache.

#11,343. Park and grab on Kumeti Road in Dannevirke. Fortunately GZ was all quiet at the time of the visit. Relatively quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Quick find in the obvious spot. Not much going on here today as it is the 2nd Sunday of the month.
Nice hide! Quite abit of traffic for a small community. On our way to the freedom camp. Dark and cold but easily spotted. TFTC
A quick stop here on our way to Dannevirke,A good cache, signed the log and re-concealed carefully.TFTC!
I achieved my tasks for the day by midday so decided to reward myself with some caches over behind Dannevirke and Woodville. As the day on this side of the hills has been a bit damp, it wasn't terribly pleasant having to plunge my hand into the damp aggies. However the cache was a quick find and I grabbed the trackable to help move it along. TFTC
Leaving late today which normally isn't a very good idea when trying to cover the wairapa it was a 10am start with a 6.30pm finish, big thank you skindo I have covered most roads in the wairapa thanka to your caches today I was flying solo and had hope to get about 30, thanks to the weather that didn't pan out later in the afternoon so had to come back through weber which is quite a long drive even when your not stopping for caches.
I have been here before not sure if it was looking for the same cache, bonus if it was cause I found it dropped tb

#2305. I was heading north today on a trip to Napier and had a list of target caches to find. Had two work colleagues with me who had not been caching before so were keen to see what the game was all about. Pulled up by the church and read the hint. Oh dear, not a friend of geocachers. But my team of helpers quickly located the cache after a short search. Signed the log and returned the cache as found. Nice country church. Thanks for hiding the cache here.
Nice quick find in the aggies. A snail decided it liked the container. All quiet around here tftc
No need to apologise for the choice of hiding place. It is sensibly located for a quick retrieval.
Lucky it was s quick find in the Aggies. Picked up TB and will take with us to carry on its journey.
It's amazing what is nearby and you never take the time to notice, like this church. Easy find thanks to gps
Found while out enjoying myself in the area. Yes, a very quaint country church and nice to see the accompanying war memorial. TFTC skindo, #8008
Muggles around the fron of the church today - just farmer having a natter- so it was good that GZ was not there but out of their view around the corner. It was not where i first thought it would be but on closer looking and using the gps i had it in hand. Thanks for this cache.
Out doing some early-morning caches while in the area. All quiet here today, although there were signs of ANZAC day remembrance on the memorial nearby. Had to check a couple of spots before finding the cache as the GPSr wasn't indicating a particular spot. Thanks skindo.
The snails must have regurgitated it because we had it in seconds. Pretty church. Tftc
This cache container was very well camouflaged- with several live snails... I'm not sure how you convinced them to sit on the cache like that but you must pay them well. I carefully signed the log and replaced the cache so as not to disturb them. Thanks for the cache
Headed south with C&D, for a full weekend of caching, with the first cache being found at 6.00pm Friday night and finishing with an Event in Hamilton at 1.30pm on Sunday afternoon. Both of us had certain caches we were targeting for the Geo Licence series, as well as finding anything else we driving past, or near. All up we found 165 caches, travelled just over 1700kms and had around 5 hours sleep.
All in all it was an EPIC adventure, exploring in and around the Whanganui to Dannevirke area. We found some great caches along the way and saw some great sights. Thanks to everyone for placing all the caches.
Cringed a bit when I read the clue, back was thankful for a quick find.

A bit of a caching trip in the company of HKCB both of us endeavoring to know off a chunk of the requirements for the Geocaching License Series (different stages, different requirements for each of us), so what better excuse for a road trip.
Between 6.30pm Friday and 1,30pm Sunday I collected approx 140 caches (HKCB=155) and many of these needing to be a great distance from home, so little sleep, so much caching
Some figures for the trip were
1/. approx 1700 kms
2/. Caches mentioned above.
3/. some very memorable caches in Wanganui
4/. lots of laughter and lies
5/. 4 hours sleep
Soon found, thanks Skindo for not making this too hard on the visiting cacher
thanks for the placement

A nice quick find today on a small road trip. TFTC Found with Tommygun9 and Capperz
A nice wee church indeed. We lived in St Albans, Christchurch for several years, just a tad different from this St Albans. TFTC,
Planned a huge day caching. Left at around 6.30 and started heading to pongaroa to the event. 40 caches on the way there then realized we couldnt do the rest we planned or we would be late. So headed a different way. After the Lunch we had another huge list of caches to get but got to pongaroa and petrol station wasnt open, 1 1/2 hours to masterton or 45 mins to pahiatua or dannivirke....hmmm that stuffs that plan up, should have thought about that earlier opps. So headed straight back to dannivirke and missed out a huge chunk of our planned trip. Thanks for a cache owners of all the ones we found along our trip.

This is one of the better church placements that we have come across in the many years of caching. Many cachers do not realise that churches are owned and maintained by the regular attenders, and place them within grounds or under the buidings.
This one remained on public ground. Thanks

Quick find, on an early morning raid on caches around Dannevirke. Thanks for the cache.
[green] Raining all day Saturday, and I am busy tomorrow (sunday) so decided to do this as another midnight run. Borrowed a car from some friends of mine and here I am. This is supposed to be the post-midnight cache but back in the car I noticed I was a little early. I generally like little back country churches, but this one looked boring. Maybe that is just because I could only see by torchlight. The cache was an easy find without the hint. (Was there a hint?)
My streak now 71 days, and in a few minutes, it'll be 72!

There was a worker muggle parked up near by, using his cell phone. He moved on quickly, & we were able to make a quick find.

After finding GC2H3CH - Papatawa Hall (Wairarapa) another Skindo hall cache it was time for a change and go and find a Skindo church cache, decided to read the cache page description before making my way to this cache and soon realised that it was a bit further north than I was planning but since I was in the area I decided that I might as well go for it, well sort of in the area [xx(].
The drive to GZ was quite a nice drive as I was definitely enjoying the scenery and in the end the dive between the two caches weren't really too far between them. Finally after a bit of a drive I soon got near GZ and soon spotted the church in the distance as I was getting closer.
Arriving near GZ I was able to spot a safe parking spot not too far away from GZ so I decided that I might as well park here as it was as good as location to park. Get out of the car I soon noticed the line of agapanthus and knew that this was going to take a bit of searching, I decided that I would trust the GPS and let it guide me to the cache.
Was quite surprised that I was able to find the cache in the first spot that I looked as I was not quite expecting this, nice hide in a naughty spot, but it wasnt too hard in the end, thanks for placing this cache here and for bringing me to this lovely church, TFTC TNLNSL (4881)

Came here on a day's expedition with Yeetrees to clean up some unfound caches in the region. An instant find despite the somewhat threatening hint Signed log, TFTC.
My family and I found this on Monday, had ice blocks in th3 grounds and had a nice time
Quick stop on way back from coppermine hall with caching friends, Fred Dagg and Morgan Ed. TFTC
looks like some work has been completed on the gardens and cache removed
but I may be wrong and just not looking properly

3312 A lovely old church, what stories its walls could tell. Thanks Mr Skindo for the cache placement. Skindo #177 for us. TFTC
A quick find with geodatum, we enjoyed the drive through this peaceful countryside.
Clear, straightforward hide - a joint find with edvern. Pleasant, peaceful countryside. TFTC
I was a bit worried about this one after I read the hint, but it didn't take too long to find.
It was dark, but I didn't use a torch because I could see a person in the house across the paddocks.
Thanks.
