Greetings from Tasmania and accompanied with ALL7 guide me around for few caches ..DNF for today, definitely spot with hint, took me long searched as unable to find ..CO need maintenance to check.. Sad

My mission to log more Virtual caches within the ACT continues - there are 7 on today's list. Sometimes I just get sidetracked and this one was not far from The (Kissing) Galahs that I had just photographed. TFTC SDL

A cache that I had worked out during the early days of lockdown. This afternoon after a meeting nearby in Watson, it was a good chance to take a look. I looked in a number of spots, before glimpsing the container probably 5-10 minutes later. Not so sure it made perfect sense with regards to the hint, so it may have drifted slightly but it was close enough in the end to enable the find. Logged and replaced as found. Cheers Sdl.

11-Oct-21
Bought TD out to help with the search (and thanks for the conf from CO) this time it still took us longer than it probably should have done to finally have cache in hand!

Find #4204

Out for a little caching on my four hour window for adventure! Lockdown has bought a totally different approach to caching with the introduction of homework! Much time for homework in fact. Therefore many more puzzles solved, both as a solo and collective effort. Thanks to my fellow geo buddies for assistance when needed.

And in between were a few traditionals, though not nearly as many of them left these days

Logs all in good condition unless otherwise noted.

Thanks to Sol de lune for putting out and maintaining all of these caches for our enjoyment!

30-Sep-21
No luck with the hunt, but it started to rain heavily so the search had to be called off for now. It's close to home so will have another go once the storms leave us.

20-Sep-21
With COVID-19 exercise time limited it was a sprint from cache to cache. It was sunny ?? , a little overcast ?? and windy but at least it wasn’t raining till the very end. Great to be out and about.

Fun puzzle. Quick and easy find at GZ. TFTC Sol de lune.

22-Jul-21
I was able to solve this without too many problems and whilst in the area today took a short walk to GZ where the cache was easily located. It's in very good, dry condition.

Thanks, Sol de lune.

Sophiescout solved today and so we decided to go for a walk around the area picking up a few other solved mysteries nearby. TFTC

Out today to get some caches focusing in Watson. i had solved a bit of caches here so it was finally time to collect them. I mostly got the Harry Potter series, but picked up three that I had previously solved. After solving the majority of the Harry Potter series and seeing there locations I managed to plan a decent route.

I have solved this before but I thought it put me on private property so I deleted it. However it wasn't actually private property so I had to do it all again. All again! So I sat down and resolved it. Surprise plot twist. My original coordinates were actually wrong lol. So came here today for a quick find in a obvious spot. TFTC Sol de lune!

Had some time to kill so came past this one, thanks for the fun

This was next on my 'solved mystery tour' this evening. It had me going for a few minutes but 2upoj was quite insistent about the general location of the stash and after a bit more thorough look, I was finally signing the log at 19:10. Happy days! Big Grin

TNLNSL. Thanks Sol de lune.

Big Grin With my original plans for the long weekend being cancelled, I decided on taking a look at Geo-events that were around. I discovered a nearbyish CITO in Canberra. I had a bit of a catch up with people while also meeting lots of others for the first time. Nice to meet/re-meet you all. After attending the event a group of us took a run around the area collecting caches that have been on the solved plie for quite some time plus a few lone caches that were nearby. Most of these caches were the newish Harry Potter mystery caches. Even though I don’t like HP, I do enjoy caching. After we went our separate ways I took the opportunity to take quick snapshots for the GCA ‘Watson Testline Trig-points’. That gave me an extra 11 finds added to my GCA finds total. Next it was time for some grub before leaving Canberra. Earlier in the day I received a couple of emails telling me of some new caches one of which was on my way home in Binalong a quick stop off here and a FTF was made. Just as I was getting into my car someone else pulled up behind me and I met TheTreeWhisperer for the first time. Nice to meet you. After getting home, I had some dinner and ask Swimmagurl if she would like to join me to attempt a FTF out the Wagga road. She agreed to come and when we arrived at GZ we made a quick find. The only question remained was it a joint FTF? When opening the logbook we found we were the FTF. Now time to head home again. TB visit on all caches and on logbooks/sheets, I signed as 24/1 JM, 24/1 JohnoM or 24/1 JohnoMawbs depending on the size. Most caches were quick finds and a great day was had by all. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found today for placing them so I and others can enjoy. Big Grin TFTC’s and TFTTP’s Big Grin

30-Dec-19
An early morning stroll through smoke choked Mt Majura produced 4 puzzle caches which I had worked out prior to this trip.
I was staying nearby in Watson so it was a logical start for the day.
I was sad to read of Joannie's passing a couple of years back. Really loved the show.
Nice easy find here. Took the tb and left another.
Thanks Sol de lune

Found Smile -- 4:20 pm -- Thanks for bringing us to this location and Thanks for the hunt *Sol de lune*.

**Cache Condition:** Good.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
**Trackables:** None seen in this cache today.

**The Cache**
Found quickly by *Little Kitten*. With all our names signed we returned cache to its hide'y hole and moseyed back to the car past the gross looking deceased roo. I needed a photo of the *Galahs* for another cache and I had every intention to swing by here during the *Clearwaters Mega* but things went pear shaped and it didn't eventuate. I had even solved the *Happy Days* mystery cache in preparation for visiting the *Watson* area. On our way through this morning I was going to call by, but we were pressed for time moving the call by on this afternoons agenda. Seeing as this was one of my very few solved Canberra mystery caches I certainly had to come and find it and obtain a smiley.

**The Day**
OCW *Little Kitten* and *DustyJapserJet* we came to *Canberra* to the *Australian Institute Sport* where *Little Kitten* would be competing today. Afterward we headed off to find some caches before heading home. It sure is nice to tick off a few more *Canberra* caches considering it was a small haul.

A cache that had been solved many years ago for one of our many regular visits to Canberra but had not been found before today. It was on our target list for this afternoon as it was hiding a jewel we needed for Mystery at the Museum.
Mrs Shifter enjoyed solving this one and enjoyed the show, especially episodes with Leather Tuscadero in them.
The cache was located quickly and in good condition.
Thanks for the hide Sol de lune.

05-Jul-19
Arrived at GZ and soon started searching as the clue depended on which way we came from so it took a little bit to find it. How did we not notice that earlier??
This was our 5th cache for the day as we cached our way around Canberra. Thanks for the fun

05-Jul-19
Find #15 on our geocation to the Mega at Cataract Park via Canberra for a couple of nights.

This one had us searching for a bit - not sure how it took us so long, but that's caching for you sometimes!
Thanks for the fun

Day 5 of trip to Queanbeyan/Canberra for the Clear Waters Mega Event, travelling with RLD4963.

We had nothing planned for today, no tours, no bookings, so we decided to head to a few particular caches that had been recommended to us. This resulted in us doing a great big loop around Canberra over the day, but we had great fun, and saw some great caches.

This was the last area on our list for the day, with a mix of caches we wanted to visit. Prior to our trip I had attempted to solve a few mystery caches, so that if we happened to be nearby we could grab them. Saw the title of this one and having watched this show in my youth sat down and worked out the coordinates. We were close by this afternoon so made our way to GZ and found the cache. Was a little bit of tricky find but RLD4963 came up with the goods.

This was a fun mystery cache to do. Thanks runner5ive.

19-Apr-19
We had a good caching day today and found several different kinds of caches, along with ilook4geo. There were traditionals, multi caches. puzzle caches and an earthcache as well. In the afternoon some more cachers joined to make a group and we did a local hunt around town. It was a fun day. Each log had more names added to the list and all caches were put back where they had been found. Thank you to each cache owner for adding so much fun to the game.

19-Apr-19
Picked up some caches today in the Queanbeyan and Canberra regions. The mix had multis, puzzles, trads and an earthcache. Had a lot of fun, signed logs and were on the move again. Thanks for placing this cache.

10-Apr-19
Left Port Macquarie heading south to the Mega event At Canberra.
A few days stopping at the EPIC.
Spent a morning around the lake, hubby rode his bike & I wandered to find a few caches.
We then had a tourist trip to the mint where we had to spend $3 & turn it into a $1 ( were so smart)
The afternoon was seraching for caches not far from the EPIC.
Thanks for placing this cache Sol de lune

Nice sunny Sunday morning in Canberra, looking around where Geowife grew up. Needless to say it has changed over the years, luckily my darling hasn't. Again another mixed success day with the puzzle gz not being where we thought they would be.

I’ve been sitting on 300+ solved Canberra Mysteries for the last 4 years. With enough corrected coordinates on the map, it was time to convert solving efforts into finds! I teamed up with 154Crows for the day and we tackled caches in the NE section of the ACT. A big day spent outdoors totalled 73 Mystery caches (10-14%) with 10 DNF’s. Thanks to all CO’s for their puzzles and hides.

Thanks for the puzzle and cache, Sol de lune!

Happy Days - we solved the puzzle and found the cache!
Out and about on a quick cache before Korean for dinner we knocked off a few from the Canberra solved pile. As we approached we didn't think we would make it to GZ due to certain things going on near there but it was no problem. The iPhone wasn't playing nice so the hint helped us make the find. Cheers for the puzzle and cache. SL.

I watched quite a bit of Happy Days while growing up courtesy of its many repeats but I definitely had to research the answers to these questions. I was absolutely surprised to learn of the connection to Mork and the other series that were spun off Happy Day.

This cache was our 5th find of the day and the 4th one that involved the same wooden structure. It would appear these are popular hiding spots for geocachers in this area. This was also day 119 of my daily cache streak.

We realised that Casadella had not found a mystery cache yet in Canberra, so we quickly put this one together last night. A short search by torchlight this morning and it was found. Yay! We are able to leave town now! TFTC Sol de lune

What a happy puzzle! After a very brief visit to Canberra, we couldn't leave without grabbing this cache <3

Along with BeckNmonts, we found this cache on our journey to Ozgeomuster 2018.

Can relate to the growing up in a small country town with just the two stations, add in black and white TV and changing the channel by actually walking to the box! Ah yes happy days indeed! Sure did watch a lot of this show too.

Was going right past late last night so made a quick stop and grabbed out the torch, plenty of kangaroos out on the road causing the cars to brake and swerve and the odd roo over the fence towards me. The red back in residence was an impressive size but webs cleared and we kept a safe distance from each other as the cache was removed and replaced. Thanks for the cache Sol de lune.

Quick find after solving the puzzle indoors. Tftc

07-Jan-18
What should we do on the hottest Canberra day in several years? Oh yeah, let's go geocaching! We loaded the backpack with water, grabbed The Woofer, and headed out to tackle the caches on the Watson/Hackett side of Mount Majura. Despite leaving home at 6am, it was already hot by the time we arrived, and after more than 4 hours of climbing (up, and up, and up) we were ready for a cold shower and some air-con. We had fun though, and found 15 caches, including 4 previously solved puzzles, so we were happy to tick those off. Left goodies whenever we could.

This was the first of the day for us, and a nice easy find. The puzzle was a lot of fun, too - one of Saf's favourite shows as a kid! TFTC Sol! Smile

Cache time. I gave my mate Knightech a hand with furniture this morning, then we had coffee, and now we're off caching. It was cool earlier in the day, but now it's a bit warm. So park and grab with short walks is the order of the day. This is our first one. It is a puzzle cache we solved a fair while ago, today is finding time. We parked nearby, walked the requisite 50 metres, duly grabbed the easy find. Then off to the next one. Then back again to pick up my GPS unit. That's the second time I've left it behind. It is only thanks to Bolshie1 that I got it back the first time. I'll have to put it on a string around my neck ...

Thanks, SDL.

Oh happy day! I attempted this one before, but sadly I was misdirected by my GPS. Yes, I'm gonna blame it on the GPS. It had me down at the drain by the side of the road, which I inspected thoroughly (despite knowing full well that I should be looking near a post of some sort). Today the GPS lead me elsewhere, and I found the cache! So thank you, and thanks for the Happy Days memories.

I bet most signers are glad that there is somewhere to sit here, though it could be a lot more comfortable. This is my northern most cache in my local stomping ground, the next northerly is in the UK.... This was the fourth solved puzzle that I picked up for the day. Fun fact: I now know that Prime7 has a building up here.... who knew? not this south sider!

Happy Days was the best show and it was good to answer questions on the show! GZ found easily and was good to take a quick seat to sign the log.

OMG!! I LOVED Happy Days and I was IN love with the Fonz! So much so, that I still have the scar on my chin where I ran from the bathroom across the lino floor and into the door frame face (chin) first, just to see Fonzie on tv!!! He was COOL! They just don't make 'me like they use to. Hide was in an easy park and grab place, even at night. Tftc Sol de lune!!!

My last day in Canberra, and no transportation available, and overcast and chilly outdoors.
Time to snuggle in my warm bed and tackle this nearby mystery.
I loved the Happy Days series on telly, so this was a walk down memory lane for me.
I wasn't aware that Forrest Gump appeared on the show.
Very grateful for the checksums, since two Google sites gave different answers to one of the questions.
Thanks Sol de lune, the sun came out and I headed out on Shank's pony, with my walking pole, to discover this clever hide.

During a roadtrip from Melbourne to Sydney to meet up with CT_ZA I enjoyed some sightseeing and obviously a lot of caching along the way Smile.
After about 10 days great sunny days in Sydney it was time to head back south. After overnighting near Goulburn it was back on the road at dawn heading for Canberra.

I'm old enough to remember the Happy Days sitcom. It's happy days on this roadtrip too Big Grin, with a quick find at GZ using the generous hint.
Thanks, Sol de lune.

I absolutely loved the show in the first few seasons...everyone wanted to be Arthur Fonzarelli. I wasn't a fan of the spin offs. I suppose my knowledge of the show helped me.

A quick find at the GZ. TNLN. TFTC.

TFTC. We arrived in Canberra last weekend . The weather during the week has been quite wet. On a walk back along the highway to Epic this cache popped up. Back in the Motorhome I used Google to find the answers. On a dry and partially sunny Friday we went for a drive to attempt some VC caches. We detoured to find final GZ . Cache soon in hand and I know a bit more about HappyDays.

Found on a late lunch caching run. TFTC!

Did this puzzle a couple of years ago and it has sat on the book shelf since. We decided to clear a few of them up so after checking that it still existed we were off. Parked near GZ and we soon had the cache in hand - Happy Days. TFTC

Yep, cache was missing.....well, I couldn't find it.

Cache has been replaced and the hint up dated slightly. GZ is still the same, just a post or so along.

08-May-16
Sorry, meant to check this one......will do this week.

I found all the required info & checksums tallied, but no Happy Days at the (very damp) gz for me today.

Not off to a good start this eve with Ariesz. Hunted around where we calculatedthe GC to be, however nothing found. Will have to come back.

28-Apr-16
Torrevieja and I had out here at night - our checksums were correct and the location matches the hint.... And there was certainly a very well loved possible spot matching the hint.... But no dice. Will have to check the numbers once back at home.

F(H)ound It!

Thanks for the memories. I remember watching HD on a rental TV that was forever being serviced. The family didn't purchase a TV until the early 80s. I suppose it was more cost effective once we had more than 2 channels to choose from Smile.
The Ridgeo-pup and I spent several hours meandering around Mt Majura. Tried, and failed, to find some shade to park the car under. And then a quick visit to this cache before we set off up the hill. A slight detour as I found myself on the wrong side of a locked gate. Met a friend from the Companion Dog Club walking her Border Collie. Thanks for the cache Sol de lune

Found on a beautiful autumn morning cache run to pick up a few puzzles and multis. A lovely puzzle about a show I grew up with so it was fun to find out a bit more about the show. Fonzie is still the coolest guy around - heeyyyyyyyyyy. Thanks again SDL - dropped a nice geocoin here today.

Sitting on 489 finds, so decided to go out and collect a few cache before getting my special 500th! This being one of them.

Haven't seen this show as I am quite young, but certainly did get a bit of a history lesson reading up on it on Wikipedia Smile Got the information required and made a fairly quick find once I finally figured out where exactly the hint was referring to.... Thanks for this cache

11-Jan-15
Heeeeeeyyyyy! I remember Happy Days when I was growing up - back when the biggest deal of your day was to catch the bus on time and make sure you did your homework! Big Grin

Been a long time since I've watched it, so on a rainy day I sat down and did a bit of research to get the numbers I needed to solve the puzzle.

So today, another rainy day, I was off to grab my daily. I had a bit of cabin fever so I decided to go for the drive to make the collect on this one.

I'd just pulled the ca over nearby and down came the rain! Argh! So after a little bit of a wait for it to ease off a bit, it was on with the raincoat and off I went to make the nice, easy find [^] Which is always nice - the last thing you want to do is bugger around in the rain! Big Grin

Thanks for the fun little puzzle and for the hide, Sol Smile

The sixteenth find for the day whilst riding through the area. After clearing out the caches around this part of Mt Majura, it was time to head back and grab this one. I had solved this one a long time ago but hadn't had a chance to collect it. Once at GZ, the cache was found quickly. Log signed and cache replaced. TFTC Sol de lune!
