Logs
Travelling with a previous finder. He confirmed the missingness of the cachey thing. Fortunately Freddo had the perfect replacement. And good to go.Freddo and e.gregory1 were heading up the middle of Australia following Stuart's well trodden route. We were travelling in air conditoned comfort and style. No stale food. No camels to carry water. We were leaving the cold winter for the northern season.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is the twentieth and fifth day of Julius Caesar's Month in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a cool cloudy and raining. No wind today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Co-ords took us way out but common-sense for us prevailed & we found it pronto. Cheers & thanks for this really cute small cache.
The 3 campers parked right beside the shelter really inhibited my desire to search for this one. Or is it two again?

Day Five: Threeways to Alice Springs
Weather: sensational!
I’ve timed this well, with the cache having just been replaced. A bit of patience required here; a lot of people on the move and using the facilities.
Thanks for the cache Liz and Bruce and the Mavericks and Kpatt17.

On Our travels we stopped to grab this cache only to find it missing so in to my cache bag and popped a new one on, happy hunting
Travelling with iluvtrekking up the WA coast to NT and down through the Centre to SA and back home across the Nullabor. After overnighting at Devils Marbles we headed to Alice, picking up a few finds along the way. This cache seemed to be definitely missing and after reading what a past finder commented on, we rehide a nano accordingly. Thanks Liz & Bruce
Travelling with richlink from Perth to Darwin along the west coast and back through the centre and across the Nullarbor to home, picking up caches along our route. We were unable to locate this cache after an extensive search. Thanks for breaking up our trip Liz&Bruce, the cache has been replaced.
A month ago two caches were seen in the area. If it looks like they have been removed please feel free to replace. regards Liz and Bruce

Our plan was to fly into Darwin on the Friday night have a couple days in the area then start heading South stopping overnight whenever we needed to, our next goal was the drive to the geographic centre of Australia at Lambert Centre and then head back to Alice to fly home ten days later.
We both had a great trip finding some important old caches, large ones and the odd clever one too, we found Ammo Cans all over the place which was nice as i think we have found most of the ones at home in Tassie.

We must be tired, SSR and I could not find this cache. Hope the next searcher has netter luck!
We are travelling to WA from SA and stopped here for lunch. Surprisingly there were no flies but we were just as surprised to find 2 caches.
This one was slightly trickier than the 1.5 suggested but we found it after expanding our search.

This was a good a place as any to stop a d make a couple of adjustments to the work car I'm driving for the next week. Imagine my surprise to see not 1 but 2 caches here.
The search began after get the information for the nearby earthcache. The tops and bottoms of the signs were checked thoroughly, the seat well inspected but nothing cache like was spotted. I got in the car happy with one find here when I spotted something amiss at a spot I hadn't cached. Bingo, my name is now on a logsheet.
Thanks for the cache Liz and Bruce.

Searched where I thought it would be but no cache. Hmm where can it be. There are lots of spots it could hide. Found it after having a bit of a look around.

Together with my favorite geocacher Milonguera we traveled to Australia We went to Melbourne via Singapore and from there we explore the south, the center and the east coast.
We walked around Melbourne and had a nice meet & greet event. Than we visited Philip Island with the pinguins and the Great Ocean Road. We fed and petted kangaroos visited the koalas and continued north via Coober Pedy to Alice Springs. We hiked around the impressive Uluru and through the beautiful Kata Tjuta and breathtaking Kings Canyon. The gorges of the Macdonell-Ranges are nice to. Than we traveled north.
Weiter gings Richtung Norden.

Thanks for showing the location and for hiding the cache. You should come to Berlin in Germany to find a lot of interesting geocaches, visit lost places in the surrounding Brandenburg and meet nice people at many events.

Ich bedanke mich bei Liz and Bruce (maintenance by The Mavericks) für den Cache, das Zeigen dieses Ortes, das Legen und Pflegen der Dose und den Spaß beim Finden! Thanks for the cache!

We travelled 8,500km through 5 states for a 60th birthday party over approx. 6 weeks. We endured many days over 35C and then saw a lot of water in the eastern states. We enjoyed travelling east with family and then they travelled back to Alice and we made our way home to SA, trying to dodge the rain and wet weather.

On the road again, and on our way from Daly Waters to Alice Springs for about a week but we will be stopping at a couple of spots along the way to break the trip up, tonight we make Alice so we can relax for a few days. Sadly though, we’re heading further south into the colder climates
Looked around a little bit but eventually spotted the telltale sign that put a smile on my dial

We are on the road travelling up through cenral Australian and down the coast of WA. I hope to grab a few caches along the way.
Camped here last night, so up early and made this quick find, before camp started to stir.
Thanks Liz and Bruce (maintenance by The Mavericks) for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

As a fan of the great John McDouall Stuart, this monument was a must visit for me. A great little hide once some muggles moved off and gave us a chance for a proper search. Thanks for the hide.
My husband and i are on a 8000km trip from Brisbane to Uluru and today we were heading to Alice springs from Tennant creek and we stopped here for a leg stretch and find this cache and the earth cache here. After almost 9 weeks on the road, it was time to head back home to Adelaide.
On this trip I have safely travelled through four states/territories and somehow managed to avoid the everchanging and unpredictable Covid hotspots, lockdowns, quarantine and other restrictions.
I started from Adelaide at the beginning of July and travelled on my own for 3 1/2 weeks through outback NSW into Queensland and up the coast to Cairns where I met up with FeatherWaite and another friend from Hobart. For the next 3 weeks we travelled up the tip of Cape York and Thursday Island and back to Cairns, then headed our separate ways. I then travelled west across the bottom of the Gulf to Roper Bar and Mataranka with a few side trips, and am now heading south again.
I have visited some some fantastic places, particularly in the national parks and other remote natural areas, and I’ve seen a range of wildlife. I’ve also managed to find quite a few caches along the way!
Cache is in good order.

After a long search and a consultation with the CO, it was determined that this cache had disappeared. The CO gave permission for the cache to be replaced so I did the best replacement I could come up with the limited resources on hand.
We stopped at this nice rest area to have our lunch and found this cache nicely hidden out of sight. Log signed and cache replaced as found. Thanks Liz and Bruce for placing it here.
This took us much longer than it should have. We were about to leave when we had one last look and and Mr lucky@lackman spotted it despite us looking at this spot twice before. TFTC

This was an interesting little break to our temporary journey south.
There were a few muggles milling about gz in idle chit-chat, so we amused ourselves with the nearby info boards.
After a while i was forced to explain my strange antics of staring intently at the boardframe, touching the odd bolt. They seemed amused and mebe a little nervous.
Thankfully it was quickly uncovered and i could visualise my explanations of our strange treasure hunt more explicitly.
Thanks liz and bruce for bringing my attention to this geo-centre with a geo-cache!

It was time to change the driver, and this cache was a great reason to stop. Found it quite quickly, after the muggles left. Thanks for the cache!
After leaving my muggle friends at the Rock, it was time to head north and get a bit of caching down on the way to my final destination.
Called in here to stretch the legs, take a pici, and the of course find a cache.
