Smilie #3577

Despite getting a late start today it was decided to head north & clear up a few more spots deserving of being converted to a smilie!
Today, we managed to add another 13 smilies to our ever increasing collection.

Another nice quick find.
A quick park & grab.
Signed & replaced as found.

Out for a bit of a drive with T-Tech today, and of course the route we're taking has plenty of caches to chase the monotony away Big Grin

I've been wanting to get this one done for a looooong while, but never had the time to venture in. Today T-T was pretty keen to do some 4 wheel driving, and this spot met that need nicely [^] Happily it was a very quick find, and we were on our way to chase down some dirt [;)} TFTC, sticker boy.

23-May-15
Today we were going for a barbecue with friends at Mt Mee and we wanted to show them how to get there from Dayboro via Mount Pleasant and Peggs Road. I love this drive and it was made all the better because this cache was hidden at the entrance to the National Park. Lucky for us there were no muggles around (except for the ones with us), so I made a quick dash over to GZ, signed the log and jumped back in the car. All is good with the cache, thanks for hiding it sticker boy.

Found is with Snotty Jr after we hid a cache up on the range. Love this area (seems the trail bikers love it as well!). TFTC.

Out on a Sunday caching trip to the back of Dayboro with Angela of Team DNA.

After capturing Tyan's Picnic, we headed back to Dayboro for a spot of lunch, mmmm, BAKERY.

Then we were off again, heading north-west. What is it with all the trail bikes out here? Pain in the proverbial. Apparently, they don't need to travel on the left. Around blind corners... Their helmets aren't going to help them much as they collide with my RAV. *I* was on the correct side of the road. Just sayin'...

Anyway, nice drive this one. Got to GZ and found the cache in a trice.

TFTC, sticker boy!

Out on a caching day out with Slow Puncture and it was a pretty warm day, though not hot by any means!!

Must have been a great day to be enjoyed by all, with all the people out with us, enjoying the great outdoors!!

We made it to GZ and Kerry, being the first out of the car, was the one to discover the cache, uncovered and sticking out like the proverbial.

We signed the logbook, I dropped off a TB and Slow Puncture grabbed the two that were already in there.

We covered the cache up with leaf litter when we left and though it's visible if you know what you're looking for, it's not visible to passing muggles.

After last nights caching trip ran long Uncle_Andy and I decided it was smarter to set up camp at Neurum Creek then to drive back home. After waking up and packing up the tent we jumped in the car and headed off towards home. I love this part of the world, the road is quiet and the scenery is always lovely to look at.

I noted we were going to pass this cache so directed Andy to pull over then we jumped out and started hunting. The hunt took about 30 sec and Andy soon had the cache in his hands. I signed the logbook and the cache was replaced as found. Thanks for the cache sticker boy

Best cache found so far. Container and contents are great. CICO. Then continued on our 4WDing adventure through the National park. Great drive.

22-Aug-13
I drove past this one to get at it. I was aiming to find it from Dayboro, but ended up driving past and up to Somerset Lookout first. That was some good offroad fun in the mighty Corolla. On the way back, made sure to stop and jump out for this one, having felt I completed that suggested in the cache name. It was a quick find and all in good condition here. Signed log and replaced as found.

The road back into Dayboro was rather decent even being dirt after the tracks we'd navigated up in the National Park. Call me crazy maybe. A nice extra for a fun detour today. TFTC sticker boy Smile

=) OMG this area is beautiful , I haven't been out here for 10 years!! loved the re-visit today with Brightskies ... what a nice daytime drive ! Great spot for a hide ... fav point from me TFTC =)

07-Jul-12
What a great day for a bit of a caching spree!!! Brightskies and I decided to go for a bit of an adventure out Dayboro/Samford way, so with mini munchkin in tow we set out. That isn't before I had completely forgot to mention that the roads around my house had just been tarred and that she probably take the back road to my house to pick me up..... OOOoooppps!!!! (Sorry Brightskies) So after a good hour long scrub of the swifty mobile we finally set off......

We had not been successful with another local cache so decided to head to this one. On the drive out we decided it best to check the logs to make sure that it had been found recently. And yes it had, muggle poo and all, EEWWW!!! But thankfully the muggle poo was gone when we finally found the cache. This is the second cache now that I have found that has recently been tainted in such a manner. Really what are those muggles thinking???

07-Jul-12
Nyssaflutterby and I decided to grab some caches today in the sunshine, with little mini flutterby-munchkin in tow. This was our first find for the day. Our day didnt get off to a good start, after Brightskies in all her cleverness drove the swifty through a wet tar road. Off we raced to Nyssaflutterby's other half's work, to obtain assistance in removing tar from the paint work. After over an hour of panicked scrubbing, we were finally on our way. This was the start to our caching day!! After DNFing the Cache of Yesteryear in Dayboro nearby, for me this was the third time, we decided to head up here to find this cache with hopefully more success. I had tried before but had been forced to turn around by water over the road. This time the water was not running over the road, but trickling underneath. I have to say that driving up here, is one of my favourite drives and ive done it many times before. We made it to GZ and with flutterby-munchkin on hip, made it to GZ to find the cache. It is still a little ickyy.. muggle toilet paper insitu.. but the cache was retrieved and logbook signed with glee. We returned it and then I went about washing my hands.. TFTC!!

Fresh muggle poo alert!!! Been here before and thought it would be a good one to drop off a travel bug... um... someone had pooed right on top of the geozone [:o] ... changed our minds... and moved on.
(should be okay in a few weeks time once it stops smelling and becomes part of the earth)

Oh yeah !!
Finally a cache that's all about MEE Big Grin
MEE MEE MEE MEE MEE MEE MEE MEE MEE MEE MEE Red Face

But I am a bit older than our newbie gen X and Y cachers and reluctantly had to admit it was in fact all about US [:o]
Ruzzelz and I had been chasing caches on our Mount Mee Forest Challenge since early this morning and having wound our way along the trails found our exit point here Smile

Our last cache of the day had revealed yet another interesting trail through the forests that I have never been along before [^]
Near the gate the cache was soon found.
The coating of leaf matter and mud suggested it had not been found for a while.
But all is safe and well with this cache Big Grin

TFTC and detour through the unexplored territory of my caching ID [^]

10-Mar-12
The final cache on the Mt Mee tour with IF as the tour guide. After a rather nice drive down from the top we pulled up at the NP gates to retrieve this cache.

Make sure you smell the roses when you stop here, walk over and check out the creek, walk around and have a good look. Nice country to just kick back and relax [^]

Quick find after locating which tree. TN Left sunglasses for geo kids. TFTC Thanks sticker boy

A great drive in the countryside, the clue was spot on and the cache was found easily. The gate was open today and the creek is still flowing. Thanks for bringing us here.

We had planned to grab a few of the Mt Mee state forest caches today. This one was a quick find but unfortunately the road we wanted to take from here was closed Sad. A lovely area with the creeks flowing well nearby. Thanks sticker boy

Took Cards , Left "Rebecca" pen.

I was out and about looking for nice picnic spots in the area when this one popped up on the gps.
Plenty of water in the creeks on the way in which made it a very plesant drive.
No trouble traking down the cache and even after all the rain we've had its contents where nice and dry.
Must return another day with the picnic basket and explore further up the road.
TFTC.

Fangsoki and I were doing some caching in the Mount Mee area with the help of the Fangsoki 4WD geo-mobile.

This cache was awaiting a first find so we put our hand up for the FTF honours. After a bit of a search the cache was found so Fangsoki and I will claim it as a joint *FTF*.

TFTC Sticker Boy. We grabbed the FTF flag which Fangsoki can attach to the aerial of his geo-mobile and drive around town and show it off to the muggles.

While signing the log one of those pesky cache dwelling frogs hopped on in.

647 - After doing a few jobs around home this morning, we decided to go for a late afternoon drive to get out into the Great South East on this lovely still afternoon. As it had been a few years since I had been into the Mount Mee State Forest / NP, this seemed like a great place to visit. I hadn't been along this road before, so I was surprised at just how picturesque this valley is. Arrived at GZ and found the cache at 5:05pm. Took the. "I went Geocaching and all I got was this sticker" sticker and left a set of colouring pens. We didn't get the FTF, but who cares, it was a great afternoon drive into the country and then a short 4x4 drive into the National Park up the steep incline from the cache location. TFTC and showing us this great area sticker boy and Bernicima.

I had my eye on this one since it was published a few days ago. It was fairly far from home and I could not really justify the 40km odd trip. Today - Radnoski joined me for a trip to the area to knock over a few caches. This was our first target. We parked at GZ and started the hunt. I was aware of this entrance to the park and had been here before a few times. The GPSr's ended up being hopeless for some reason and we ended up walking in circles. I checked an area.. and then Radnoski checked it properly.. and found.. a cache! Duh me. We got a joint *FTF* @10.20am from memory (Radnoski will correct me if I am wrong on that) We collected the fine FTF prize. TFTC Sticker Boy and Bernicima Smile
