Turning a frownie from 2012 into a smilie on a cold day. Thanks for keeping this cache here. Tpvsl NINO TFTC
A plan was hatched quite a while ago when the Dunedin Mega was announced to come over to the South Island again.I have only been to New Zealand twice before and I loved the South Island. So a chance to come back for a Mega was a no brainer for me.Everything was booked and I flew in the Saturday before after a bit of a delay.Hopefully the weather improves as Im missing the sunshine that I had earlier on on this trip.So Day 14 of my Mega NZ starts and Im heading off to Timaru to check out that town and Im slowly heading North again.I made it up and over Lindis Pass and are now heading towards Omarama where I turned off earlier on on this trip.Interesting information on the cache page. Thanks drawp TFTC.
Roadtripping from Finland in NZ. On our way from Mt Cook to Wanaka grabbed this one. Found it quickly! TFTC!
Having spent a lovely three days in Otematata we then made our way over to Queenstown - we grabbed a few caches on the way. Spot on co-ords here made for a quick find, hint had us straight to it anyway TFTCTim and Viv - ddm
Day 9: Across the Lindis PassThe route for today brought us back to close the big loop of our Southern journey by passing through Omarama and the Lindis Pass and back into Cromwell where we stayed the night. This would be my first trip across the Pass and we found many caches along the way, including the highlight of the day at the Bendigo Historic Reserve. Thanks for all of the caches along the route!(End of the cut and paste bit)Heres the specific log for the cache:I contemplated going up the Ahuriri Valley for a view of the lovely landscapes there, but I decided against it for the purposes of reaching Tarras by lunch. So, this simple cache will have to suffice for now. TFTC!
I'm traveling this area two years from when I previously found this cache. This is the 2nd cache on route from Omarama that doesn't show a smiley . Check 01.04.21. April fools joke maybe.
On my way north and getting some caches for a challenge. A bit of snow about. All good with the cache. Thanks
Day 3 on our holiday in New Zealand. On the way from Twizel to Te Anau, we also visited this traditional cache, searched the box, found it, and signed the logbook
***T4T$ - Many Thanks to drawp for hiding and maintaining the cache.*** ️

A quick find using the hint for guidance. We stopped in here for a cuppa perched on the gravel mounds but wish we'd kept going a bit further as just a few km down the road we passed a lovely shady spot with picnic tables that would have been much better! It's a shame the info board mentioned in the description has gone, would have enjoyed reading it. TFTC!
On way home from seeing daughter in Wanaka thought it good time to log a find for this cache. TFTC
You wouldn’t credit it. While stopped here, someone asked for directions, then we all got on our cellphones to figure out the answer
There was a car in the general area when we arrived but some distance from the cache. Mrs SoBad spotted where it would be when a second car pulled in. When one had gone and the people in the other were distracted by taking photos, the cache was picked up and the log signed. No idea why the spot was so popular when the others weren't cachers.
Thanks for the information now the board is no more.

#20556. Heading home to CHCH today, so for the most part we stuck to drive-bys. TFTC.
Today, StreetWalkerNZ and I are returning to Christchurch after a week hanging around lakes in Central Otago.
A quick park 'n cache as we drive north. As I was signing the log book, a car turned into the side road, and the driver gave me an odd look. TFTC.

Cache was a quick find and it has only taken me two and half hours to drive from Cromwell to here. I have possibly been geocaching plus met several wide loads including a house
A nice place to pull over We were supposed to be going on a tiki tour of Northland. However, level 3 in that area changed our plans.
So JDScout and I are doing a loop trip with our camper van. From Christchurch to Ross to Fox to Lake Hawea to Kurow and back home.
To add extra excitement to our trip we are geocaching too. Thanks for hiding this cache drawp I appreciate it.

Could not find this cache number of years ago. But was easy as once the logging truck departed.
A very quick stop with Mr P as we travelled around Otago. The story of Birchwood is great. T4tc
After spending a couple of days around Cromwell we are now on our way north to Omarama or perhaps further. Mr S found this one as well. Interesting terrain in this area. High tussock covered hills. Definitely snow country and it has been cold overnight on our tour around the lower South Island. Think we might stay in Rotorua, where it gets cold but not so much.
Thanks for another smilie drawp.

Day 16 of my 2020 NZE (New Zealand Experience).
(My apologies for the delayed logging but I'm still in catch-up mode)
Seeing as I can't be in America right now, I'm touring around the South Island instead. During my time here I am aiming to find as many of the TMGT caches as I can (preferably all 41) and also as many Virtuals, Earthcaches and Letterbox Hybrids as possible, plus any Trads or others that will fill a hole in my D/T grid, my Jasmer grid, or else the last 3 remaining Hidden Dates on that grid.
I was last in Queenstown about 18 months ago when some friends of mine were touring around the South Island and I flew in to join them for a few days. I've been lucky enough to visit a few times now and yet the sight of the Remarkables never ceases to amaze me. My wonderful tour is nearing the end, and today I was planning on having a leisurely drive from Queenstown to Tekapo.
The road from Queenstown through the Lindis Pass to Tekapo is one of my favourite drives. I love the juxtaposition of the drama of the rugged ranges and the flat calmness of the vineyards. This is not a drive to be rushed, so I was happy to pull over every so often to try for a cache.
I was able to park safely just off the highway and then walk back towards GZ. The cache itself was a quick find for me today, in the very first place I looked. There were no issues with it, so the log was duly signed and the whole lot replaced as found before returning to the campervan and getting on my way again.
Thanks for placing this cache.

Can't wait for the season to open.

We had no information as no cell coverage but we still managed to find this cache. Lovely spot. Tftc.
Found it with my geowife during our trip around the world New Zealand is awesome place and today we had time to find a few caches on the way to the campsite TFTC
A trip up the Ahuriri Valley from Omarama. Watched friends hang gliding further up the valley. Nice find by Alexa much to Zade's disgust. Cold swim further up the valley at the Ahuriri Wetlands. TFTC
Loved how this one was hidden. Normally I have trouble finding micro caches but this was an easy one.

Together with TEMBO! I had a really interesting geocaching-trip today. We could find some geocaches, met some locals and had a great talk to them.
Concerning this geocache I want to say thanks because we had much fun in searching and finding this geocache! The cache made our trip even more interesting!

We were getting cabin fever after all the rain today, so off we went in search of some caches. All nice and dry. Thanks for placing this.
We turned off here to drive up the Ahuriri river to the end of the road. We found the cache easily which surprises me why we couldn't find it when we were 'baffled' in 2012. Maybe we just have more experience now or a decent GPS which makes all the difference.
Nice little one on the way to Mount Cook.
I really enjoyed the landscape a lot and was nearly on my own on the way.
Thank you.

Found this one quickly, it's a good place to stop and enjoy the view as well

Jolo.
Took us a few minutes. Misinterpreted the hint which took us on a minor wild goose chase. Then I read a few logs and one focused my mind better. Fairly soon after we found it. Thanks for the cache.
For my personal challenge of working towards getting my calendar on GC.COM to be at least the same shade of green or darker I need to sign off at least 12 caches today. I won't grumble if I find one or two more. Today I decided to go for a drive through the Lindis Pass to locate and sign off the required caches.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Stopped on a whim as we were ahead of time and so glad we did!!! As a vollie at Orana Park we have those animals on display so I will be showing them my photo of the information board. A great start to the trip through the Lindis. Thank you.
Day 3 of a 4 day road trip. My mission on this trip was to travel South and West and then East and North. This road trip was all about the numbers but not quite in the usual way. In fact it was hours and hours spent on the road in search of minutes (and caches). I'm filling in gaps in my 'minutes' found across New Zealand in order to complete the 400 minutes challenge for the cache GC7YQZ8 - at the start of this trip I had a 52 minute gap to fill. GPS seemed to be a few metres off but the hint had me in the right place. TFTC, Biggles.
We parked nearby the GZ and took a short walk. After some searching the additional hint proved most helpful in locating the container. TFTC
After visiting the cliff, we went from Omara to Wanaka. Together with my boy friend Hloust, geo son Jonas_999, and a friend Standarenice on the road around the world. A short stop, and after a while the box found, a little else than the coordinates. Thanks for the cache and send greetings from the Czech Republic.
Odloveno společně s geopartou: Hloustem, Azulkou a Jonášem při naší velké cestě kolem světa /Anglie, Čína, Nový Zéland, Cookovi ostrovy a Amerika/.
Děkuji za kešku a zdravíme z Čech.
Taken together with geofriends: Hloust, Azulka and Jonas in our great journey around the world / England, China, New Zealand, Cook Islands and America /.
Thank you for the cache and greet from Bohemia.

No information board here which is a shame but learned some things in the description anyway! I had to wait for a truck full of construction gear to trundle on up the road and for him to tighten his load, other than that, no worries!
Found with nissan 65. Flew in from sydney for a short holiday. Hoping to see as much as i can on the south island and pick up caches along the way . Thanku for the cache.
