Eventually I found this one. Been here twice before. It helps to read previous logs. Agazo made it very clear. (I wish his caches could be that simple)They must have used a sextant to get the position lol.TFTC#1066
A very local cache for us so thought a check should be done. Cache has clocked up a couple of DNF's lately.
Can confirm 100% cache is still there in perfect condition. Grass growth over time has partly concealed the hint item. Will post no further spoilers but will help other finders in future if they contact us.

I saw the note from andy.gail, so I thought I would try to find this cx again. At GZ, I looked in a lot of places, but they all gave me the same result as before.
Now a.g graciously offered to provide help for us Geocaching-impaired, so I asked and got a white cane hint. The problem was that the coords are about 5m to 7m out and you may need to take one step off the concrete. TFTC.

I think I found the spot that fit all the hints. Then again, I could have missed it.
Part 1, Day 5. Four of us are in Nelson, graciesgpsfun, Ethness, Jude_E and me. Jude_E and I went off geocaching for the day.
Thanks for creating this hide. It was our last find. Today was a tricky day as C:geo had crashed.
We decided to go over to Mapua for our final bit of geocaching. It was a tricky hide but Jude_E managed to find it in the dark.
======== NZ Mega 2021 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2021 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, October 2021 solving this one.

Nosynel, Graciesgpsfun, Ethness and I are caching the top of the south. Today we are hanging around Richmond. Coords 6m out but I managed to spot a likely place by torchlight. Yes a cache. Thanks for the hide.
This one took a while, but I decided to persevere. In the end it was a few metres from where my GPS was pointing, and there were enough likely contenders there to keep my attention. All good in the end though. TFTC B&W.
RG1972 was at work today, but I am in the region for a couple of days longer so I decided to devote the whole day to geocaching adventures.
I had my bike in the ute, so settled on taking a few rides around Rough Island, Rabbit Island and Mapua as well as a few short walks in between. Some park and grabs near the heavy traffic as well. Finally ended up close to Tasman township before calling it a day. 24 finds for the day, it was good fun. Thanks all.

Got this on the way home from dinner at Ruby Bay, took quite some time to find and was getting dark, but finally had it in hand and signed. TFTC
I needed to find five caches today to bring my daily finds for the 9th February up to 26 and thus into a deeper shade of green in the GC Statistics Daily Finds Calendar.
Today was my last cyclocaching day in Mapua so after riding down the hill from town it was time to ride up the Dominion Flats/Seaton Valley seeking as many of the caches there as I could. This was cache #5 on today's hit list. After not finding it at published I read some previous logs and widened my search area - why is that every large rock looks sorta triangular?[xx(] Eventually I spotted something a little unusual and there was the cache some 8m from published. Yea, that's my last 'compulsory' cache for the day done and dusted [^] - all finds afterwards will be bonuses. TFTC b&w

Back today on a day after reasonable downpour. Came thru the underpass and could see that yesterdays rain had caused flooding thru the underpass. Had been given a hint from a previous finder and like them found co-ords were off. Good condition. Pleased to get this of my DNF list. TFTC
Took some time, first I was under, then out and behind, can't be on the other side, or? Maybe up, no doesn't fit with the description.
But at the end I found it. Easier if you just trust your instinct once you are close, making the search area a bit bigger but keeping on the track. No climbing needed.

This has taken two goes but found it while walking the dogs! Yay. Didn’t think to bring a pen so will have to come back soon to do it ‘officially’!
A b&w cache in amongst the others around here and too good to resist. After reading previous logs I was clued in where to look and eventually spotted what was required for a fairly Q E F here. T F T C
I've had a busy couple of weeks at work and was originally supposed to be working today, but with a couple of other things looming on the horizon I asked if I could have the day off before starting back on night shift tomorrow night, and yes was the answer. So, with mrs capperz supposedly at work this morning on the early shift I also got up and underway and was on the road from home at around 0615, with a full days caching ahead, culminating with the event near Mapua at (I thought 1500, it was actually 1400 - oops, made it in time though).
With thick fog all the way through from Wairau river bridge to the Whangamoa saddle it was steady driving to get me into Nelson just after 8, and a full day saw me back at home for 1845 after a catch up at The power of 3 cache with Ricardinho, the Seagnoid, TB Dragon and Jojo. A successful day was had with some park n grabs out Central Road way, a couple of previous DNFs conversted to smilies (and a couple of new DNFs to add to the list!) and a few points towards the latest souvenir scramble. Thanks to all COs for their hides, specific stories where I remember.

After a previous DNF it was nice to change this to a yellow smiley. No issues today and a quick find. Thanks for the cache. And 390m towards the DGSc distance challenge.
Like others I had looked for this previously - several times in fact, and one aborted attempt with Tregearp after some heavy rain and the underpass creek was in operating at high capacity. About halfway through the water went over the top of Tregearp's new gumboots so we abandoned the attempt.
Today on the basis of the previous logs started looking further to the west and soon found the cache. Coordinates are not outside what is a reasonable search area - simply got tunnel vision about probably locations given the GZ layout and the accuracy based on the CO's other finds. In retrospect, the hide location is more sensible anyway given the propensity for flooding in the area - as we had previously observed.
Thanks again B&W for another cache.

SJT_NZ and I had tried to find this previously with no luck but today based on the hint it was a relatively easy find, all in good order TFTC
Last time Taybeedragon and I were here we didn't find the cache. Today we are back, having just worked at a CITO about a hundred and fifty metres away.
We had been told that it was replaced, but when we found it discovered that the cache is 11m away from GZ (bit of a suprise, in this environment the CO is usually spot on. Maybe it was heavy cloud when the cache was placed?) I went back through the old logs. Ah - it was replaced, wasn't just that I didn't find it. Anyway, nice to convert a blue saddy to a nice yellow smiley

The Seagnoid, Toby and I are heading to Nelson for a C:ITO but plenty of extra time for exploring and caching.
Well the CITO was only 150 meters away so had to revisit this one. Still took us too long to find it but finally snagged and tagged with the extra hints from a fellow cacher. Cheers

I had been to the event and done some gardening. I came to find this one before we went home. Thank you. Nana helped me find it
In area today with No 13 but no luck. Wondering if it has dropped out of sight/reach.
Had a good search based on the description now that water had subsided but no luck today. Too well hidden.
Its Queens Birthday Weekend so we are off caching for the long weekend. Todays route took us from Motueka through the Rai Valley to Blenheim. Weve been here before but didnt get this far. Not luck today either as they all looked abit triangular to us it was like a haystack hunt. Another day maybe...
I was looking for this a few month back without success , today on a little mission and things looked a lot brighter. Tftc
I have had a couple of looks for this one over the past few months - thought it was just my eyes that couldn't spot it. Now that it has been replaced I had another look today. With the updated cache page it was an instant find - with just one foot off the path. Thanks for replacing this one
Pretty sure this cache is not here. In fact Taybeedragon and I even think we know exactly where it was. But I only replace a cache if I am sure I know where it was, which I am not, here. Been a few DNFs now, time for the CO to visit.
Three of us had a good fossick without success. Lots of potential spots. Next time!
Had what I thought was a good look around for this but ther were so many nooks and crannies that it could be, and with limited time I decided to move on to find another cache nearby. There is evidence of a good size flood having been through and msebn's log implied that the cache could be in the flood zone. I will watch this and come back once someone else finds it
After cycling the south island for 2 months we are spending the last 2 weeks of our holiday in the Nelson area - and naturally we need to log some caches . Tftc!
Set off on borrowed bike. Found cache after a short search. Prior log was a help!

Down helping with the restoration of Dominion Flats and took a quick walk to investigate the area. Thanks.
Mr 9 Yr old and I did part of the track and this cache. I found it easily while Mr 9 yr old got his shoes totally wet as he couldn't not go into the nearby water. TFTC
Finally, the day has come and I have arrived to New Zealand. This three week long trip has been planned for more than 6 months. First of all, I was going to visit my daughter and her boyfriend, who has been on the islands for almost one year, next was to see as much as possible of both North and South islands. My daughter had done a day to day planning on where to go and what to see. This trip was not planned as a Geocaching trip, but we should definitely search for some caches all over the islands.
Day 9. Motueka
In the afternoon, we took a short walk around I the neighborhood to look for some hidden boxes. This one took some time to find. Logged together with Klövsson and Familjenloov. Tftc

A little drier here than on my previous attempt, but almost left with the same outcome.
Having the benefit of knowing I am about the same height as the CO - an therefore being able to gauge 'knee-height' - I still faffed about here for too long.
The passage of time has caused the grass to creep onto the path, so I would say you now *do* need to step off the concrete - but only just.
I also opted to put an end to a small wasps nest close to the GZ which would have been rather off putting for cachers-to-come.
Happy to put this niggly one to bed.
Thanks

It was lovely to walk on this path to see lambs bouncing along.easy find last one for today
I thought about bypassing the Bypass Underpass in light of the post-storm dampness from the other night (see attached photo), but managed to navigate a dryish path though to the other side.
The stream through here the other night must have been something to behold as the high-water mark seemed to be at around 1.5m.
Taking the hint into account, I had a poke around in some likely looking places, but came away empty handed.

It looks like the water got very high after the rain earlier in the week but the log was high and dry. TFTC
We followed the advice of the previous cacher and soon spotted the little fella. TFTC.
Easy find on a beautiful Nelson Spring day. Wonderful plantings. TFTC

Well well. If there's ever a cache which proves "use your eyes" this one is it. How on earth did I miss this one last time out!!!???!!! Logging the find somewhat embarrassed.......but hey, that's geocaching!!! Thanks BW. So pleased to get this one ticked off at last. Cheers!!
Our third underpass. Easy find and took a travel bug. A guy nearby planting trees. A huge area of planting. Well done.
Appreciated the info about how to access GZ as it's not clear from google maps, so thanks for that.
We made hard work of the find and only after StreetWalker started clambering over the rocks did we think to read the cache description. That certainly cut the search area down to size. He then made the find. Phew!
Don't really like walking under underpasses, especially with traffic roaring above so ran back thru. TFTC.

#7484. Good to see provision made for cycling and walking when the road upgrade was done. Took us a wee while to locate the well hidden cache. TFTC.
We couldn't find it but we think someone has taken or Broken it and it was our first gocache to find.
In the area so decided to have another look for this one. Still elusive. For me anyway. Hopefully the next cacher will prove me wrong. Onwards and upwards.....
Hmmm???? Perhaps it's just me but try as I may, could I heck find the cache. The underpass was semi flooded and there was a "tide line" pretty high up in the rocks. I wonder..... Never mind. Until next time...Thanks anyway BW!! At least I'm getting some good exercise!!

This was an interesting little walk to this cache Soon had it in hand and we walked back under to the car Thanks bumandworker 4TC:)
Quick find, on my way to Riwaka, while down for South Island National Daffodil Show at Hope, Thanks for the cache.
This one was muggled, someone has written over one of the pages. Have placed it where I think it should have been
Streaking today for a different goal and that is to achieve 30 in a day for my MGSc qualification. Mrs M in a weak moment agreed to navigate me around a pre-planned route and I would have to say without her assistance I would probably still be out there. Left home at 12:30 pm and back again at 5:00 pm with 29 under the belt and with #30 planned to be a night time FDF of The Streak #3 which is just 100m from home. Fingers crossed that doesn’t go belly up. Find #13. TFTC
not yesterday neither today.... wonder if it still is there? but a nice place anyway, just a pitty its not linked to the beautyfull seaton valley road yet.
not a pill bottle (sistema), we checked this recently....probably still there
[maroon]Day 4 of our 5 day Easter caching roadtrip. Today we were heading from Nelson towards the Mini Trail near Motueka, going up one way and coming back the other.[/maroon]
All the rain we had the previous night flooded the end of the tunnel over the footpath, we did have a little look and found an empty broken blue pill container - I sure hope it wasnt that. Thanks anyway

Today I Went for the 100 caches in 1 day. With a very early morning and just breaking even at lunch time with 50, it looked like it was going to be 12am to 12pm. But after a move out of the city they started to speed up, and i managed to grab the last at 20:30 with 106!! Thanks everyone for the caches that they have placed, from the ones that have been planed for months to the park and grabs
Have driven over this bypss plenty of times but never knew there was an underpass here. Quick find
Quick find while on my way to the Over the Rainbow - Blue event this morning. TFTC
Found as part of a geocaching trip to and around Nelson. TFTC! Found on 27/8/2012 (but forgot to log the caches from this trip at the time!)
TFTC. This is an interesting bypass with shared water and person access. The cache was slightly dap, but signable.
have to love these underpasses, log book is very wet but managed to scrach my name on it
Interesting underpass, sharing a stream with cyclists and pedestrians. Found the cache no problem.
I'm told there had been recent heavy rain in Nelson. The cache had a layer of fine silt over it and the log was damp. We could see the "tide mark" level that the stream had risen to which was indeed higher than the cache. So returned it about 30 cm higher up.

A successful run today with Holymu that started innocent enough with 4 to do's. Included was the final cache to achieve BGCs, and maybe some extras but it resulted in 21 finds. The cache was easily located. The log was sodden but we managed to leave a mark. Dried it best we could. TFTC
Found on an afternoon caching with Hazedarus. The log was sodden and we could only leave a small mark. TFTC.
Loved walking under the road, listening to the water. Then I got the the GZ and thought 'horrors', as it could have been anywhere. But, GPS was spot on, and I had the cache in hand in no time flat! TFTC.
Went for a hunt but started to rain so called it quits. I did notice a smashed pill container by the path could of it been in that?
Took the mini bash option from the walkway which wasn't too bad. Found the cache after a bit of a search. TFTC
Little Junior found this one - after I guided him to the right spot - still very pleased with himself. TFTC.
