Hi, we were just driving past and noticed that the little fence/log border that was present at the GZ has been removed. The cache owner may want to view the area and possibly review placement of the cache?
I don't think this exists anymore due to the recent changes to this area - owner may need double check this one
Having parked in the carpark for the park nearby I set off, sandwich in hand for this one. The park was full of muggles making the most of a Sunday with perfect winter weather but as I got to the end of the road and out into the open, walking along the gravel road, it became very quiet indeed, no muggles out here. I followed The GPS and there seemed to be a few spots stick out, so checked them all and no cache. Bummer. Had a think and realised I missed one spot.. as luck would have it, it harboured thew cache. Out the logbook came and it was signed before being replaced. A nice little hide here, TFTC isthmus
A perfect day to get this cache. .
I was in this neck of the woods getting some new hardware and this was close by. With no one about, it was an easy find.
Thanks

Lucky enough to have one of those rare quiet muggle free days. Sort of worked out the most convenient place for this one and wasn't disappointed.

On our way home a little lesson on gsak Ninnes family and I found ourselves passing a cache. Quick we have no where to be except our warm beds this chilly winters night. Ninnesfamily had dnf'd this one earlier so I asked if she wanted to search and then I would help if she couldn't find it. Her response was along the lines of "it's too damn cold to be chivalrous!" so I walked over and grabbed the cache straight away. I just had a feeling and it was right! She seemed quite annoyed that she didn't look there last time oh well you learn with experience. Thanks for the cache
No. 65
My first night-caching outing with Net88 after a GSAK event on the other side of town led to some unexpected finds on the way home.
I knew the gates would be closed at this time of night, so we pulled up on the side of the road (parking almost anywhere you want is a perk of night-caching it would seem). I knew we would be walking a fair distance from the car, so Geodaughter 3 was rugged up in blankets and she came along for the walk while sleeping in her car capsule.
Net88 asked if I wanted to have a go at finding the cache first, since I had DNF'd it the day before, but it was way too cold and I wanted to get Geodaughter 3 back in the car as quickly as possible, so I told Net88 to go ahead and start looking ("too cold for chivalry" was pretty much what I said, as she reported in her log). I pointed out the GZ and told her the hint. Her experience showed as she pulled the cache out immediately and I was left shaking my head, wondering why I hadn't thought of that the day before (although I know I probably would have if Geodaughter 2 hadn't messed her pants and I'd had more time).

We looked high and low for this one, but unfortunately it eluded us. We were searching for ages, until Geodaughter 2 informed me that she had filled her pants, so that was the end of the caching trip.
I will return!

Only find at 5:50:00 PM.
It has been a little while (for 2012) since my last find so it was good to get back into it after work today since I had nothing on tonight. This cache had also been on the DNF list for a while so it was great to find it finally.
While the ground was slightly wet the conditions couldn't have been better as I had the place to myself. I was a bit nervous about the final part so I took some photos before my hand retrived the cache. Logbook was quickly signed and cache replaced.

Know the area well from mapping and course setting for orienteering. Immediately thought of the correct area and once there hit on the location immediately. Local knowledge sure helps with confidence.
2nd for the day, Had to go to Brendale on busness to day, find a few caches, a good days outing.
Had better luck with this one, no luck with it's sibling. TFTC

After eventually finding the other nearby cache, I had my caching eye in, and knew where this one was hiding straight away. So i let crooked-geodaughter find it. She was still buzzing from the earlier find....."that was so sneaky" . Second to sign new log.
Thanks for this enjoyable pair of caches.

A nice easy stroll from the sibling cache. Wearing business attire, I was worried I was suddenly going to have to jump into a marsh, but it was not to be. Another very nice hide with seemingly no likely spots! Well done isthmus and thanks for the fresh logbook which was fine today.
Wouldn't like to attempt this one during stormy weather . Sneaky hide found after a short search. TNLNSL. TFTC.
Out on Australia day caching on the bike.
I think this one went underwater yesterday. Actually no thinking needed...I had to squeeze the water out of the log and sit it in the sun for a bit before I could write anything on it.
You might want to take this one home and dry it out.

Christmas caching! This lovely Christmas Day, we decided to finish off Brendale and Strathpine (and nearly succeeded too). There was a muggle Christmas breakfast going on nearby but not close enough to bother us with this cache. A lovely walk through a park which we drive past so often but have never visited. Thanks for bringing us here.

Lovely park area. Decided to knock off a few Geocaches on our way out again. Thank goodness it was a quick, easy find. TFTC
Remembering your other cache in this park, I approached this one with some hesitation. That must have been a good thing, because I found it after the briefest of searches. TN/LN/SL and went off to have a DNF at the very next cache . Geocaching can be a humbling sport .

After finding a nearby cache, we went in search of this one, but a tractor was at the GZ. Not long after it started to drizzle and the tractor decided to take a break and have lunch i presume.
With the coast clear, we were able to locate the cache quickly.

Muggle on a tractor put us off on our initial approach. However, Alkzura and I went back to the car, fed the kids and came back about 20min later to find the coast was clear. Cache was signed and back in place before the tractor driver could return. TFTC
I've been in this area before, and remember when there were multiple huge piles of dirt here that the local kids had turned into a bit of a bike track. Not much of that left now, but happily, it also means there were no kids to disrupt my search. Coords were spot on, and with a false start out of the way, the cache was soon revealed. Comfortable spot to sit nearby, and then back off through the trees to my car. TFTC, isthmus. =^.^=
Cache number two for today, with allrounder and Team Goanna, only after the smallest member of our caching party slide bum side down the mud hills.... She had a ball... We had a cache! Tftc
Was generally where we expected when we saw the site on approach, but still took a little while to pinpoint exactly. Thanks!
Found @ 11:40am with Fore! and Team Goanna on Day 2 of our trip to Brisbane to visit Team Goanna
This was found after a slight detour to the park for all of the "kids" to have a play.
Fore! came up with the goods for this one, thanks for another cache isthmus!

Interesting mounds. Looks like an old bmx track. Quick find while having a caching day in Brisbane. Thanks
Found in the dark. These little caches are sneaky.... i like it. Forgot to take my own pen though, so didn't sign log. Will return another time to do so. TFTC.
It was only a short stroll from where I parked. The GPS was leading me away from the area which I had picked out as the likely hiding area as I was walking so I followed it and then found the cache in a unexpected position. It should be safe from the next flood where it is. TFTC
Nice hide. Was checking everything else to do with the clue before stumbling across this little sneaky hide.
Another good hide, but a traditional cache. Those that have found his others will understand.
The kids had a great time running up and over the dirt mounds while we searched for the cache. We headed to the playground for a play and a picnic afterwards. TFTc

I've been meaning to come to this park for a long time and finally made it today. It's a great spot. The cache was quickly in hand - too quick for the grandkids who were having a great time running up and down the big dirt mounds. TFTC
We found it but not until the muggle racing his remote control cars moved away.
bee3 & bee4 had a lot of fun on the playground

We found it! A couple of canoodling muggles made it a bit hard to not look too obvious- I think we did it.
Spent way too much time looking where it wasn’t. Finally had the inspiration to look where it was. Good (frustrating) hide.

Found ok after a brief hunt around GZ. There were heaps of remote controlled cars tearing around a distance away but nowhere near me. Neat hide, thanks isthmus

Aware its unavailable, but was in the area, log book needs replacement but otherwise ok. TFTC
I am good at finding unavailable caches today!
Yes the container is still snug in it's hiding place but full of icky flood stuff.
Log is gross, but managed to sign anyway.

Temporarily disabled due to floods. Let's hope the cache survives once the water has gone.
Found with the Pride of Ogres.
Had a nice walk though Pine Rivers Parkand it was a nice easy find. Both the Pride and I were surprised to see a chopper down low near the powerlines and people fixing them.
Thanks for a cool cache on the hot summers day!!!!!!

Cache is 100% dry, unlike the boggy surrounds! You should have seen my thongs! But after a week of caching in Queensland's summer, I came prepared with a waterbottle and a towel to clean up
Thanks, isthmus. I really enjoy your caches

Boy this place gets soggy when it rains... I felt like I should have been a duck while approaching GZ as the ground was sodden... Not perfect weather for caching but hey, we are all weather sports people right...
Found the neatly placed cache in the first place I looked. All safe and dry...
Cheers isthmus.

651 - Found this one after a brief search at 4:31pm. Nicely hidden cache - thanks for placing one back in here isthmus. Hopefully this one won't get washed away like the previous ones in this area.
A lot of effort and money has gone into this park in the last couple of years to tidy it up and build some nice facilities and a kiddies playground.
Another 200,000 dollars is going into building a fancy pants entry gate now
Meanwhile, a pleasant stroll away from all the activity I found meself alone.
There was a cache lurking here somewhere.
I found it in the second place I checked
It's always in the second place.... why is that ? [:o)]

This cache set the tone for the day as Shell-A and I were unable to give the area a good look because a muggle was playing with a RC car and thus, we DNF the cache.
Had a look on Google Earth for the likely location of the cache and found after a short search - didn't even have the GPS with me today. TFTC
I had seen a cache published about 30km from my house.. and was not really that keen. Then a few minutes later I see this beast come in. Ahh less than 5km - thats more the ticket. I downloaded it to the PDA and drove as fast as the Geo-Territory (and the local traffic laws of course) would allow. Got to GZ. Silence and no cars to be seen. I had made excellent time in getting there. Fumbled my way through to GZ - even though I had a torch, I was tripping all over all manner of twigs and debris. Finally made it to GZ. I thought I would honour the occasion by standing in a big mud puddle with my work boots.
I started the search.. hmmm.. some likely places.. but I found the well hidden beast after a small hunt. Opened the log book and *FTF* was mine Signed the log @ 7.11pm. Went back to the car a different way. As I neared my car, I noticed another car parked right next to mine.. the EngPhil-Mobile. I was aware another cache was possibly being published so I logged into the phone while I waited for him. EngPhil emerged with MissGeosie on his back and we had a bit of a chat. No extra notifications came through for us while we were there. I am sure the publisher is giggling and going to publish the other cache at like 9.30pm. As we packed up to go, we were given the "move along" by an old mate security guard who wanted to lock up the park.
This one ended up being my 20th FTF TFTC Isthmus - an enjoyable little cache - even if it was dark and I got some muddy boots

It took about seven minutes from notification of this new cache, to getting out of the driveway. Rocking up near GZ, I was completely unsurprised to see a certain familiar vehicle. Why do I even bother going for FTFs in the Fangsoki Zone?
With MissGeosie on my back, I made the trek toward GZ. Sure enough, a flashlight appeared heading the opposite way. Hmm, but not interested in me. Maye be just a random muggle....
Arriving at GZ, the cache was in hand in seconds. Surprise, we'd been beaten by.... seven minutes. Argh!
It was then back to the car where a smug Fangsoki was waiting for us. We chatted a while as we waited to see if any further publications happened, but soon decided to call it a night just as a friendly Security muggle appeared and announced that he was about to close the gates (take note, future seekers: gates are locked at 7:30pm.) As we drove out, another three cars attempted to drive in and were turned back by Mr Security. More cachers, perhaps? vwnuts, was that you?
TFTC, isthmus, and congratulations to Fangsoki for the FTF!

saw this one had popped up while checking the update on my own new cache. saw there was no logs as yet so thought i'd try my luck. just then my partner just arrived home from work so i said let's go for a drive so we both jumped into the geo mobile arriving near GZ soon after with no other cars in sight. Ah ha there it is great hide opened it to see a blank front page we thought we were in luck but NO........ piped at the post by Fangsoki by 1 hour
