An amazing and fun collection of art, very much enjoyed it.Last night was a later one, arriving into Nyngan about 10pm or so. A nice mild night and birds chirping quietly through the evening. Another nice day but cooler now, still warm and pleasant, unlike yesterday's hot almost 10C hotter. Stopping at the towns as we pass for ALs and caches is a good way to see the sights and recall past times. We have an event to be at this evening in Orange, so we were well placed. Of course caching time is a different time, so another full day despite the short distance.
Another long trip around AU over the top end with lots of detours. Now heading back east across the Nullarbor with a stop at Maralinga, Ceduna, Lincoln National Park, Coober Pedy, Oodnadatta, Broken Hill & Orange.TFTC. An excellent fun collection of art. Awesome.
Quick find today with the kids on our central NSW school holiday adventure. We had an absolute ball looking at these and took copious amounts of pics. Fav added for this one. Such a great concept - near to come back and continue the trail to Dubbo now! Cheers
Stopping for a few caching breaks on the way from Sydney to Broken Hill.TFTC
Found in about the 3rd spot I checked lol. Driving the Animals on Bikes trail between Molong and Dubbo, grabbing a few caches as I go. TFTC
Cairns to Sydney Road Trip
Day Seven: Bourke to Orange
Weather: certainly cooler in Orange!
Greetings from a transiting South Australian.
Google Maps has directed me off the A32 at Narromine only to rejoin it at Molong, presumably to completely avoid Dubbo. I was a bit worried about the road petering out into a goat track, but it was all good. But best of all, I got to see the “Animals on Bicycles” sculpture trail. There are some awesome pieces, it was really entertaining. This is one of the caches I found on the detour.
Thanks for placing it VRA.

Headed out today to find a cache for the day, and took in a little trip to grab this one. It’s great it see what people design and come up with, although one of the animals seems to be taking a bit of a kip at the moment. Cache was found in a good spot.

Great piece of art we probably would have driven past. As for the cache itself... Wouldn't have driven past that.

We are travelling along the Animals on Bikes trail, grabbing photographs as we go. We stopped here and I thought that I recognized these animal to be near a cache. On inspection of the map I realised that I was right, so set off to GZ. It certainly isn't the most obvious spot and in fact it was Pa who came across from the car and walked straight to it. Some people just have the talent. Thanks for the cache and I left a PT after signing duties were completed. Cache has been returned to its resting place.
#3732 Passing through with GM and Duffco from Canberra. Nice art across the road. TFTC.
Second and last day of a caching long weekend (thanks to Canberra day) with TheSkype and muggle bro. Amazing art series on these outback roads. Tftc

This one has to be a favourite for sure! Geocaching is all about showing you things you wouldn't otherwise have seen if not for the placement of the geocache, and this one kicks that goal for me. Love the sculptures, had no idea they were here - we stumbled across them during our spicing up of our drive out west by taking a different route than the usual main road. Loved loved loved this road and all the sculptures. Will be telling everyone about it!!!
TFTC! Taking the opportunity to cache my way to Dubbo while out here for work
Love the art!

Returning to Orange from Narrabri and we (drobbonz and kiwisteve2) decided to take the road less travelled to see all the Bike Art. Glad that there was a cache that had us stop. Wish there were more. Very cool road to travel. We also saw a fox and stopped and rescued a turtle that was crossing the road. Here from Portland Oregon (home of the original stash) visiting family for the holidays. Tftc
A pleasant diversion while driving from Canberra to Dubbo.
Thank you vra for this cache and for alerting me to the creative array of bicycle themed caches along this road.

Have enjoyed these art things, but not the clamber through the new weed/prickle growth. Found it though and avoided the road kill too as eell
Found as part of an Orange and surrounds geomission with fitzy_1965, AngelG27 & Sol de Lune (signed as FASS to save time & space) Top weather, great company and lots of laughs meant for an epic weekend of caching all round!
Hahaha! What cool road to travel down with all these sculptures! Easy find at GZ and AngelG27 took the stop for a photo opportunity!
Thanks for the hide, vra

Fitzy_1965, SpecimenX, Sol de Lune and I (logging as "FASS") headed from Canberra to Orange and surrounds for a caching blitz over the 30-31 July weekend. We logged around 1000kms in the geo-Jeep. I scored around 130 caches for the weekend. The visit was characterized by blue skies, green paddocks, lots of water off and on road, a fair amount of mud, and good company. Still plenty of caches to collect and scenic spots to explore on a return trip. Thanks to my fellow travelers for a fun weekend, and the COs for all their efforts in putting out and maintaining the caches.
Cache number 26 for the day found at 1210 and 111 for the trip. This was well worth the drive as I had not come across this art series before. Truly memorable - I can't believe this series has not received more FPs - here is at least one more along with another photo for the collection! Thanks vra

11289. Headed up to the Orange region with AngelG27, Sol de Lune and specimenX ("FASS") for a fun-filled weekend of caching. Lots of caches found, a few not found, and a lot of laughs had as we toured around over 2 full days as far north as Wellington which resulted in 124 finds for me.
Headed out early again today for a final big run of caches before heading home to Canberra. Next stop for the day on a loop up to Wellington and back. Jumped out of the Jeep for another quick find at GZ. Log signed, cache returned and we were off to the next one.
Thanks vra !! The artworks are really fun to see !

We found this cache after just a bit of a look around at different options. The artwork along this road is certainly worth seeing. We have seen quite a few in previous years but some others are new to us which keeps the area interesting. Thank you for placing this cache to draw attention to a district attraction. The log was signed and all replaced where it belonged before we continued the hunt for the day.
The geo crew and i fought the spiders till the death but we cane out victorious, TFTC
Love the art along this road.
Thanks for putting one here vra.
Could not find today, A lot of trees cut along this section of road and a landowner has piled a lot up and is burning pile by pile along this section. Climbed over and through the cut and heaped up logs but to no avail. Hope this cache lives to see daylight again.

We're on our way home to Sydney after a night in Yeoval for Dead Men Talking - a play/ conversation between Banjo Paterson and Henry Lawson. Really enjoyed the drive along this road. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
May I just say, to anyone who has a fantastic fear of spiders like I do...good luck!
They were all around to cache!
I could get straight to it because of them. Finding the cache was easier enough but getting to it was hell!

QLD Mega trip 2015 with Sol de Lune. On this almost 400km road trip we drove from Canberra to Stanthorpe caching in all the towns along the way with mostly great success. Around the Mega there were heaps of caches to be done including a few power trails. Despite the weather we got all of the planned caches done.
On day one of our trip we headed from Canberra to Dubbo. The caching was in the second half of the day at small towns and around Dubbo itself. Mostly it went soothly. Thanks.
