Found 07/10/24. There was a nano cache inside the min tin but i couldnt get it open, and the bag containing the log has split open, but the log is still safe and dry. TFTC.
We where wandering down to Nowra to spend the weekend with my sister. Quick stop and cache to break up the driving. Thanks Rock-hopper
Driving from Canberra to Jervis Bay with Gilly. He had heard of geocaching before and was keen to try it out. This was our second find for the day; in fact, Gilly found all three of them! I think that hes hooked and will get his own account soonWe had a fabulous lunch across the road at the pub! I cant believe that Ive never stopped there before after the dozens of times that Ive driven this road. Will totally do so again Thanks for the cache, Rock-hopper!
Passing through and decided to stop for this cache. Pub was closed unfortunately, but a quick find and sign in a nice spot. Idk why there is a log in a bag and a nano in the same cache but ah well. TFTC!

1065 for the tribeOCW RockPaperCannon and what a great place to stop and pause. The folk in the nearby establishment are incredibly lovely, hospitable and pour a good beverage. Met a guy here who is on day 34 of cycling 80-100km per day from Adelaide to Cairns. His bike was fully loaded with oranges, water, a tent and sleeping bag! Nice bloke too. The cache is in great condition with plenty of room in the logbook. Replaced as found. Glad to make good on the find after a couple of annoying DNFs yesterday. Thanks for providing this cache which gave the tribe much joy today.
A trip to check out some of the awesome places in NSW and grab some old caches. TFTC.

#2419 Parked across from the pub and got the Geo-hound out for a walk up to GZ. Quickly located by DeadThief who managed to find two different containers. Signed as DT and T284. TFTC.
#473 After camping up in Kangaroo Valley for the weekend it was time for Turtle284 and I to head home. Given the landslides on the mountains our regular ride home was met with a long detour. That gave us the opportunity to pick up a fair few caches we hadn’t been passed before, so we weren’t at a total loss.
After finding Good Shepard just up the road, we moved on down to here. With Turtle holding onto one of the geo dogs for some disguise (turns out it wasn’t enough!) I made the retrieval here, of what seems to be two caches, maybe one for spare log space? Not too long after replacement of the caches though, a van stopped beside us thinking I was one of the Telstra workers as the lines were being worked on today! Maybe I need to keep the hi vis jacket for work days lol. Thanks for the hide Rock-hoppers

Nice little cache!
There are two caches located here though. We were unable to find ‘The good Shepard’. Has it been accidentally moved to here?

Finally redeemed a previous DNF. Great spot to stop for an awesome sausage roll and coffee on the way through. Thanks
Had a good look with no muggles to disturb the search. Looks like Ned has absconded
Collected a handful of caches between Nowra and Goulburn. It was nice to spend time outdoors despite the light showers throughout the day. Thanks to all Cache Owners for the contributions to this recreational activity.
Sorry, but I'm disabling all my caches while this COVID 19 lockdown is in place. Hopefully we'll all be able to be out and about before too long.
A couple of dozen cars here ATM. Great to see after the fires. Will come back when things quieten down
Here visiting Seemyshell with 3 muggle friends, we managed to grab a few caches here and there along the way. Thanks for the fun!

No way were we even going to look with all the people around today - we will have to return when it is quieter.
Now sometimes you need an excuse to be loitering... and after a splendid luncheon on our way to a long weekend to Culburra beach, we wandered across the road. Paris bear has been photographed at many places, in Australasia and around the world. If he was there, then we were there... excepting for the times he went off with others.... anyway, he is a good decoy. Photo shoot with the blue bear, and cache found by muggle hubby. My dexterous fingernails soon extracted log, signed and returned. TFTC rock-hopper
Decide to head this way for a trip, and do some caches this way, stop here first before head off to others, nice hide TFTC Rock-hopper
Found by geokid on our way home from the Clearwaters Event in Queanbeyan. TFTC

Quick find as we ducked behind the nearby car to hide from a very busy easter Friday filled pub. Since it is so loved we decided to grab a meal and drink before heading on. Great service and so many bikes.
2 micros were present. Both in good condition. Love the Ned Kelly chair and dog house. So much character. Tftc

Took a minute due to the size but when putting it back realised there are actually 2 caches here! One a little smaller than the other ! Been many years since I visited this pub. TFTC!
On the 1st Aquilus1 and I were supposed to be first day of a three day adventure going deep into the Heart Of Darkness.... all the way through NSW to Bogan Shire to claim a multitude of counties... but (and there is usually a but) unfortunately I no longer had three days available, just two. So, last minute change of plans was for us go to the coast and go north, and see how we went. I even solved the only puzzle on the road before leaving.
So.... it ended up being a great loop, clearing out the road from Bungendore to Nerriga and going on to claim about a dozen shires. Clearing out an area is always slow going, but we were methodical... No Cache Left Behind as dubya would have said, despite the constant rain.... at least after Nerriga it was more a trip to claim counties than to clean out the map.
Late on the 1st we remembered that we should eat, probably before everything closes... luckily we found a Thai place in Berry that grumpily let us in while staring at the clock.... no mind! The food was great. Frantic internet searching looking for a motel then ensued while waiting for our dinner... all was well, we had fine lodgings awaiting us in Kiama.
On the 2nd the rain was looking like it was going to set in for the day as well, but we soon realised it was the fog that was going to be our nemesis.... it was unbelievable and downright scary... glad I wasn't driving! But, in the pea-souper, we somehow missed our turn to The Shire and ended up near Appin, no mind, we can continue in this direction.
Not sure I can even remember all the councils we passed through and grabbed a cache or two in, but here goes:
Queanbeyan-Palerang,
Goulburn-Mulwaree
Shoalhaven
Jervis Bay
Kiama
Shellharbour
Wollongong
Wollondilly
Campbelltown
Camden
Liverpool
Fairfield
Canterbury-Bankstown
Cumberland
Strathfield
Canada Bay
Burwood
Inner West
Sydney
Woollahra
Waverley
Randwick
Bayside
Georges River
Sutherland Shire
Wingecarribee
We stopped and had a drink at the pub... very nice!

With GreyHams we had planned to head out for a three day trip into NSW for some counties, all the way to Bogan Shire! We had 14 counties on the route but a change of plans meant only the two days were available so plan B had us heading towards the coast and up towards Sydney.
All a bit of a last minute change but all good, GreyHams had a plan! Off we set, we had 5 counties on the list and would see how many more we had the time for. The new route had us driving up towards Bungendore to Tarago and then across towards Nerriga to Jervis Bay. A good trail of caches and we searched for them all, a few DNF's but mostly a successful trip through with a variety of caches found and some really great locations visited.
The rain set in about Nerriga, light and steady, and we both ended up more than a little damp at times, super fun when looking for a cache in the wet bushes! Mostly we cleared a nice path along the way with a few caches down some side tracks, a few puddles to play with along them and the only Mystery along the way... Well thanks to GreyHams for knitting that one out!
Stopped in Berry for a nice Thai dinner and then on to Kiama where we stopped for the night.
Woke to more rain but continued on North stopping at each county along the way for a cache and anything else interesting. Thankfully the rain did end up clearing... in its place there was the thickest of fog to navigate through, no worries about that on the Motorway with the traffic and almost no visibility!
Slightly turned about in the fog we did end up off track but worked out well in the end with a new course set and off to conquer the counties along the way into and around Sydney. A surprising 25 counties visited in the end, much more than expected but happy with the result and a good couple of days away to do it in. Thanks to all the CO's for your caches, apologies for the generic log, any additional cache information has been added to the end of this log.
Stopped of for the cache and a drink, interesting location.

Found after finishing lunch at the pub over the road. Well at least the sons had lunch. The eftpos was down, no ATM and parents don't carry cash anymore. We eventually discovered the publican - if asked - was generously offering to run a Tab of sorts but by then we were ready to go The statue of Ned Kelly is impressive as is the quirky doghouse. The cache was soon found. I would've thought it was a "micro" rather than "other". I lost my pen between the pub and GZ so pic of log attached with the rusty tin of the doghouse as background. Tftc !
Out with the riding with skip motorbike group whos sticker is on top of neds helmet to get lamb cutlets on the pub across the road
