It seems the area has had some water through and the cache is gone. Little point in placing a cache in the same spot because it is possible that muggles have found it and would find another in the same place. Instead I have placed some more caches along the Gilston Road country.
Out with Brother Colin for the day. I think this was our only fail. We followed the description, found the post, the picket. Found a plant with rocks nearby, and a very suspicious looking square hole. No cache though
Out and about with teamdfl today for a day of caching.
A quick walk to this one and we were onto GZ fairly quickly. We soon found a likely spot but no cache. Fianlly after reading the notes as to where the cache was we ended up where we started....a 'sort of' pile of rocks with a rectangular hole in the middle. Unfortunately there was no cache.

We always end up doing things the hard way.. Went down and along to realise it was up the top. Idiots.. TFTC - found with kadin92.
A quick find before I started work for the day. Don't mind helping out on the Gold Coast with work. It gives me the opportunity to find a few more.
Thanks
Thanks

Headed down South today for Geo Mum to go to an appointment, now she had rejoined us so we headed here to try and find a few more before we headed home.
We had 3 smileys and one DNF so we were on the winning side.
Geo Mum, Geo Girls and I (Geo Dad) headed for GZ and did our usual search about and Geo Youngest came up with the prize again.
So the girl got it like you said.
Checked out the contents for swaps and did our trade.
Thanks bristraker TFTC TSLS SL

This cache was ideal for us today. As we had dropped the other half of the family off, we were enjoying some father and daughter caching time. We were initially a little away from GZ, but thanks to the clear description, the cache was soon found. In keeping with the theme, StephanieK took a small fluffy yellow chicken and left a miniature troll doll. Thanks bristracker for a suitably themed cache!
Quick find in the dark which surprised me, I can tell you . Sometimes you’re just lucky [^]. TN/LN/SL and as I turned around after replacing the cache, spotted a cat watching me. Said hello, but it wouldn’t let me get close enough to pat it. Probably wondering what the hell the strange human was doing in the bush . If only it could talk.
What a nice spot.
My daughter was wearing her luck socks so we found this cache fast.

Our second find of the afternoon. once again good instructions from bristracker.
The log we found was very diminished with only 2 small sheets and both were full.
Unfortunately we hadn't brought any spares otherwise we would have left some. TFTC

Told the guys they could not do this one as it was for the girls. L Bracelet T rubber TFTC
Easy find, the girls enjoyed reading the "treasure map" on my phone. We took minute to sit down and go through the cache my 3 year old geo girl scored something for herself.
Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
Arriving at near GZ we where confronted by 3-4 kids kicking a footy ion the park.
Undaunted we tacked a different approach and made a surreptitious approach the cache..
Gunnie69 soon had cache in hand...

On arrival, there were kids kicking footballs around the grass area. So, Kaisho53 and I took a wide berth and entered from an alternate approach path. Up to GZ for a quick find and log sign, before exiting a little further around the corner and disguising our movements...
Cheers Bristracker.

Our last cache for the day and what a interesting area.
It's a shame we were short on time as I would have liked to explore down by the creek some more.

Watched two pale headed rosellas for ages before heading in to GZ. They let us get really close. Took a pink mobile phone toy and left a pink smily face super ball. TFTC
One for girls?? Hmmm - and me without my best frock and high heels. I had actually seen a similar themed cache up in Brisbane - it was a pink ammo box and amused me greatly
I got to this one and saw where I had to traverse. I spun around to see if I had an audience. Nope. I slipped in and started the hunt. Initially my GPSr had me hanging around a fence post. But I spotted the cache just up the way a bit - well hidden. The cache was in good condition. TFTC bristracker *curtsies*

My first day out caching since the rains of December and the floods of January, and this makes my third bristracker cache for the day! Thanks. I know I'm not supposed to look for this one - secret women's business apparently. But with 499 caches in hand, I just HAD to make it 500 today!
Besides I'm not prejudiced.
TNLN, TFTC bristracker. I must go looking for some more around here when time permits.

Found quickly after a short search.
Impressive creek flowing nearby, thanks BT. Cache dry.

Easy find at 4.10pm... Great location! The creek below was well above it's usual level and after our experience at GeoGilston Boys, we felt like running down and jumping in! Cache was hidden well and in perfect condition, gardens are happy. Two muggle kids on christmas scooters were no threat.

Found by geokids while geoparents sat in park waiting. Lots of muggle kids riding their bikes. Thanks for the cache Bristracker!
I parked close to the nearby "Jewel Thief" cache (a big old DNF on that one today) and headed over to find this one.
Thanks for all the clues Bristracker. I have a bit of cache-blindness sometimes so they helped me track down the cache.
TFTC Bristracker.
While signing the log one of those pesky cache dwelling frogs hopped on in.

After a bit of a search I read the description properly and this led me directly to the cache.
Didn't have any girls with me (Missus stayed in the car as usual) so I didn't swap anything.
Plenty of kids playing in the streets around here but no one in the park. TFTC.

Interesting little gorge down below GZ. Mrs Herbz spotted this one after a quick hunt. TFTC.
Found the cache for boys so thought I should be fair and come to find the cache for girls. Thanks for the new caches Bristracker. This area is a nice little area. Thankfully the shrubbery and new trees hid me well from a couple of muggle girls. I saw the biggest Kookaburra I've ever seen and he must have been quite tame as he let me get quite close. I'll upload the photo later. I was disappointed to learn the walking path ends either side of the park and doesn't continue around. A lady spoke to me and asked if I needed help. I said no, that I'd just stopped for a look at the park. I enquired if the river ran by and she said no, not really, and there were a lot of snakes in the bushes. I think she was trying to discourage me from my visit. When she walked down the end of the street and went into her house I ducked into the bush and searched for the cache. Found it happily in it's spot and signed the log.

Sorry Girls, FTF for Grundies at 4.20pm although I did leave the goodies for the girls. Saw this set of caches published nearby to my work this morning and was tempted to sneak out at lunchtime to grab them but decided Aussie Liohona would have probably got them by then and I'd get them another day. Come 4pm still not logged, woo hoo, loaded onto my GPSr, and off. Annoyed the local kids by parking where they were about to start their game of footy in the street, Woke up the dog, disappeared into the bushes to find the cache. Thought I might of been spotted by a muggle but he kept on walking. Found the cache and the lovely clean log sheet. my first FTF in over a year. Thanks to Bristracker for the new cache. TFTC TNLN
