Probably gone with all the new work that has taken place along here. Didn't look too long
I started my great and unique round trip over the South Island in Christchurch.
My first major stopover was at Lake Tapeko - here I hiked up to Observation Mountain.
I then planned two days in Mount Cook NP with some unforgettable hikes. My big goal was the Mueller Hut - on a super strenuous hike I reached it.
I continued my journey over the lonely Danseys Pass to Dunedin.
Afterwards I drove along the Southern Scienic Route via Invercargill to Manapouri for some days. On this route I visited many sights and enjoyed the beautiful nature again and again.
I already booked a tour to the Doubtful Sound in advance - another highlight on my tour.
Afterwards I drove on to Queensown and Wanaka. From there I continued over the Haast Pass to the lonely Jackson Bay with storm and heavy rain. Afterwards I drove along the west coast always in pouring rain.
The rain stopped the whole west coast, but I had good rainwear with me. Only high up in Nelson the sun shone again.
Soon I reached the east coast again in Picton and Blenheim and the sun was shining again.
After a few days I travelled back to Christchurch via the beautiful town of Kaikoura.
At the end of my round trip I spent a few more days in Christchurch and its surroundings.
I visited many geological sites and found many caches on my round trip. In Rangiora I visited an event.
I travelled 3418 km and take home a lot of positive experiences.
Thanks to many beautiful caches I was also shown unique locations, historical sites and geological features.
I am overwhelmed by the fantastic and ever changing nature on the South Island of New Zealand - I will definitely come back.
Many thanks to all owners

A planned geocaching trip with specific targets in mind.
1: The final 2 caches to fill my D/T grid
2: The last 5 caches available (all in the South Island) to meet the NZ Jasmer challenge GC4R9Z6
3: Get as many caches as possible in a day (Solo)
I had no timetable and only a vague route (Christchurch - Dunedin- Invercargill). So after 20 days of sleeping in my tent/car I arrived home having traveled 4500km and visited some interesting places. Met some great people. I had found over 650 caches. That was a lot of park. Jump out out. Find cache sign and return. Then on to the next. All this done by myself. Also attended an event and had 2 FTF
Mission 1 and 2 were achieved and I had a best day of 153 caches. All this done by myself.
Day 12 Dunedin 10 caches found including the last of the targets. Sat on the steps and enjoyed the view after signing. Thank you for the placement

Nice spot. Not super quick find but got it. Pen not working so scratched my name on one of the pages. TFTC
Today's main aim was the Albatross Center. On the way there we looked for some caches. Here we were searching quite a while but eventually widened the search radius and there it was. The log is quite damp but still managed to write onto it. TFTC and greetings from Switzerland
Great spot on this lovely spring afternoon. Found this cache that almost has become part of its surroundings after a bit of a search. TFTC # 12,878
The dirt has camoed thus cache well. Log book a tad wet but writeable. Thanks for the placement.
Headed down the rock steps and started the hunt. Took both Frame Family and I back to a cache by Anderson’s Bay Inlet which we attempted several times without finding. The log was a little damp but could sign it ok. Tftc
Today we were on the Otago-Peninsula, visited the Albatros-Center and found some caches. This one was easy to find. TFTC!
Cache # 4,130 - a pretty quick find on a nice afternoon with CelloJoss. All well in the cache. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Today is our second-to-last day on our trip around NZ. On the way from Dunedin to Oamaru we stopped in several interesting places and caught some of the last caches in the NZ. Quick Find. Thanks for the cache.
Second time lucky for this one. Came here a while ago but no luck. Sometimes I think it is better to have a look at night with a good light like tonight after a quick trip down the bay after newly placed cache. Anyway TFTC
Having an adventure with miss 5 while the rest of the family are busy in Dunedin. Stopped to admire the view and found this cache
Down in dunnas on a mission . out with kjr and after scoring the triple difficulty cache we made our way back to town grabbing a few as we go tftc
Back in town and heading out to do some maintenance and thought about time I got this one - thanks to the help from Eve07.
Cache in good condition.
Cache in good condition.
Late log, but took us a while to find it! After bcopp6 and I realised we were looking in the wrong spot, it wasn't hard to spot tftc!
Stopped here briefly, 2nd car in convoy didn't stop, didn't have time for through look. Nice and calm though.
Took us way too long to find this little one. Once we looked a little bit further we managed to find it, TFTC!
By my count this caches makes us on par for the year to date. One cache per day on average. Now onward to get ahead of ourselves. TFTC
One of eight in the Dunedin/Otago Peninsula area today. Enjoying a drive on the peninsula at this point. Located reasonably quickly, thanks to the hint. #1475. TFTC.
I tried to find this once a couple of years ago. Since then I've cycled by many times and today with the possibility of a cycle track looking as if it might go in within the next year or so I had a good reason to stop. It is also my 50th for this month, something I need for the bakers challenge:
GC44VT8
Bakers Dozen Challenge (Wellington)

Cache #27 on Team Walkers epic adventure from Blenheim to Bluff and back. A quick find here on the way out to Taiaroa Head. TFTC.
Great cache, logbook semi dry but cache was full of water. TFTC Found with heyhaynz
Ohh no... I always knew my geocaching would get me into trouble at one stage. While the bike was parked by the bank and I was searching possible hint objects, up comes a campervan with a tailback and proceeds to nearly run me over...! Still, once they'd completed their short stop I set about finding the cache again, with success. Can't believe it took me that long, though I am horrible with relative (as opposed to absolute) directions. Cheers!
I spent about 10 minutes looking for this miniscule cache in all the holes along the bank. Massive face palm moment when I did find it . Cool spot - thanks! Love the 'hint' also - cute!
Found it with Archie my muggle great nephew while visiting his muggle grandmother who lives just across the road. It was Archie's first cache and he was very excited. SL (as did Archie). Thanks for the hide ChallisPoint
After a couple of dnf's, we eventually found this one to relieve our anxieties lol

Found with NZ bozzy and grand daughter Kacey while out finding some caches this afternoon
Tftc - was a delightful find

Loved the little rat figure 'guarding' the cache. Took me a bit of searching until I discovered the cache in a hole. TFTC and best wishes from Germany
The plan was hatched a few years ago now and it has been a standing weekend away with a few of us mad keen cachers. This trip was made up of Karma Reprint, Team_Gaters and me (TheWanglers). We couldn't use a previous anagram to sign the logs as one member was in Aussie. So we had to come up with another... Hmm, KiTT? We decided on KiTT but after signing the first few logs something KR mentioned took a while for me to sink in and I didn't really take on board until the next time I signed the log. "Hey, the double 'TT' looks like Pi!". Oh, that's what KR said! So we signed the log this trip as KaTT pronounced 'Kapai'! And the trip was kapai!!! We had an epic weekend starting with a detour to Peel Forrest for a few FTFs, stopped in Omaru, thrashed Dunedin and detoured to Port Charmers for a FTF and then back to Pleasant Point and Peel Forrest to finish off the weekend with more FTFs. We got home to our families at a respectable hour after clocking up just over 1100km!
We had a few milestones we really wanted to crack. My 4000th, TG's 5000th and KR's 10,000th. We cracked my and KR's goal and got really close for TG. It really is about the numbers. This trip was awesome as it has given me some ideas
I couldn't even spot the steps. Oh, took a bit to locate even for the previous finders.
Thanks for the cache.
#3990

Had a good hunt and know was in right area as the other game sticker was in place but no container found. Did find a snack bag at bottom of stairs but no log.
After all the rain over the last 24 hours we were not sure that the cache would still be there as there was a small river flowing near GZ when we drove past yesterday. As we were staying just up the road we walked to GZ while traffic was light due to road closure and after a bit of a search finally located the slightly damp cache. Tipped out the puddle of water in the container but the log was still dry in the ziplock bag. TFTC.
Found on our 25 day New Zealand South Island holiday.
Apologies for the late log but with little or no internet as we travelled and only super slow WiFi in van parks I decided to log all finds on my return home.
Found while out exploring before the snow came
