As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been longer than 28 days since the last reviewer note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 28 days), just contact us (by email) once the cache is in place, and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Should you replace the cache after 28 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

WP1 not found even after recent replacement. A PAF to the last finder after the fact suggests that one feature I checked may or may not have been where the WP should have been, but I don't think it's there. This one really could use some owner intervention I think.

12-Apr-15
WP1 has been replaced by a Good Samaritan but seems to have disappeared again quickly. Per my DNF, I am adding yet another request for the CO to check in on this one please.

12-Apr-15
Plan to get WP1 sorted when I get a chance.

13-Feb-15
Could I find a cache unfound in 6 months with no WP1, without a PAF but with lots of difficult terrain? Challenge accepted!
I pulled in close to WP1 and soon found there was nothing around, though I guessed what the seat was... Maybe.
I didn't read all the logs but those I did read told me pretty clearly where to head.
Oh dear... The terrain certainly hasn't got any easier over the years. I smashed my way through the head high grass, doing lots and lots of high stepping and checking out one place after another.
At last, I found the spot and simultaneously took a huge tumble, thankfully being caught by all the soft grass. After a laugh, I got up and extracted the cache. Yep, a fair amount of water inside still!
I emptied and dried everything in the sun for as long as I could afford, before putting it all back in. One thing I should have done was bring down bags and silica to help dry it. It's still time for a new logbook for sure.
By the time I got back to the fields, I was puffing from all the high-stepping!
One more step for me to do and then I was on my merry way. TFTC and all the best with it.

13-Feb-15
The coords for the final may be found inside an Eclipse tin located within a seat-like construction at WP1.

Nothing at wp1

Couldn't find it the first time I was here as the first cache is missing (and still is). A geofriend showed me where to find the second one so soon in hand. TFTC

I had looked at this icon on my map quite often in the last few years and today it seemed it would finally be converted into a smiley. I was out caching with Angela, trying to get her multiple types in a day when we needed a multi. I mentioned that I knew of one close to home and before long we had pulled into the familiar car park.

We hopped out and headed over to WP1 to start searching. Nothing. Hmmm. We gave the area quite a good check before I resorted to phoning a previous finder. He wasn't at home so couldn't help too much but remembered the general direction of the hide.

We decided it could be enough so started down the hill, across the field and on towards GZ. A few minutes later we were neck high in long grass and staring at the cache container. Angela grabbed the container and luckily there were no insects or spiders on it. We signed our name in the very wet and smelly logbook and Angela poured the water out of the cache container. We replaced the cache as found and headed back to the car. Thanks for the cache Ferrarista.

Out on a caching adventure with Nyssaflutterby and Mini Munchkin, hoping to grab some August souvenirs!! We caught up with Net88 a little earlier and when Nyssa and Mini Munchkin had to go, Net88 offered to accompany me on the journey!

As I'm working stupid hours this month, Net88 offered to help me to get as many souvenirs and cache types in a day! I was SO grateful to have a caching buddy!!

Net and I scouted the area for a few different cache types. Net pointed and I navigated the Rocket.

We got to GZ and started searching for WP1.... and searched..... and searched.....

Turns out WP1 is missing!!! Net called for a PAF and we got a general point in the right direction.

We thought we would need to be on the OTHER side of the fence so we tried the first gate.... Locked. The next gate... locked... Ok, I put my keys and phone on the ground under the fence and jumped up to climb over, when.... the damn thing swung open!!! Razz

After we picked ourselves up off the ground, (as we were wrecked!! Laughing so hard I nearly cried!) we took off in the direction we thought the cache would be.

We were up to our shoulders in long grass and I was VERY grateful there were no spiders today!!

Unfortunately, the cache was filled with water and the log book, pretty soaked. We did our best to sign the log, tip the rest of the water out and return the cache to its hiding spot.

TFTC!

No luck here today. Wish I had read the logs before wasting time looking for this one. Hide location seems obvious but no container... A few DNF's now.

CO check required. Thanks Ferrarista

Here for a holiday so took friend geocaching. Both us looking but no luck. Could CO please check it is still there as it hasn't been found since May last year.

Had a go at this one a couple of days ago.
Contacted a past finder to find out the Waypoint had gone.
Probably muggled when the grass was whipper snipped.
Took the cache but not the rubbish. it figures.
Had to PAF to get final coordinates.
Lots of long grass to this one over my head.
Went to one GZ. Not there.
Through the long grass again and to the right GZ.
Just managed to get it, nearly fell over.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks Ferrarista Cool Needs new waypoint and needs a large snaplock for log as was wet, otherwise good cache

17-Mar-13
Spotted the cache as we approached. The log was too wet to write on so dropped in a sticker of ours instead. TFTC

10-Feb-13
The nearby club was to be a resting point during the afternoon so I left the wife in the cool and took the stroll.

I easily located the right seat to watch the game and retrieved the new information.

There we no games in progress so I was not noticed as I strolled across the fields to get to the search area.

I then encountered waist high grass with no apparent way to get around it. There was only one way and that was to follow the arrow.

The arrow was straight and directed me to the only likely spot and there was no mistaking that I had found the cache.

I signed the log and ,with no sign of an easier path back, I retraced, my easily discernable, path back to the manicured lawns of the playing field.

TFTC.

No Pythons, just lots of grass! And a nice view of the lake that I didn't know existed! Smile TFTC.

My second attempt at this one, and the last one was quite some time ago, when I was a newbie. No idea why I couldn't find WP1 back then as today I got it straightaway [^] Details noted and yes, I thought I'd end up down there.

I took a wander then surveyed the scene and spotted the hide from a distance, but realised there was waist-high grass in every direction all the way to the cache Sad Hmmm, nothing for it but to stomp my way down and hope there were no real pythons or other slithery things nearby.

I soon arrived at GZ, but here I nearly came undone as I am slightly vertically challenged and that was a big stretch! Anyway, the deed was done and the logbook signed, although it is pretty damp and the other contents too. TFTC, Ferrarista. Glad to finally make it a smilie Smile

15-Aug-12
Found it!! And probably walked past a few pythons as well.

Great spot, thanks for the cache.

09-Mar-12
Had solved this some weeks ago but very wet at the time and since then so unwilling to face the jungle until weather had got better. Nice sunny day today and although nearly lost better half in the grass got to GZ and found cache fairly easily. Log is extremely wet and almost impossible to write on it.

Out with Ghostgums & Gunnie69 today...

Arrived at parking area to the wail of model cars being raced around....- hope that keeps them too amused to notice us...

WP1 was soon located and we updated GPS units for final..

Accross the field (doesn't seem to bad)..

Over the Crest - "Yikes' down there..

chest high grass every which way between us & GPS target...

Hmm Ghostgums has longest legs We'll let him lead out & break the path for us, but even then it wasn't all that simpel as we ended up coming in from a couple of directions...

I soon had container in hand and while log was signed by Gunnie I poured out the excess water & tried to dry container out a bit...

Log signed, container restored to position and we headed back by the shortest route possible - straight up..

Hmmm itchy, sticky etc but successful at least..

TNLNSL

Thanks Ferrarist for the cache

Hunting with Kaisho53 and Ghostgums, we arrived at the listed coords to find three kids making good use of the area for their remote control cars. Hoping they wouldn't be able to see us at GZ, we headed off in search of the next phase details... [^]

Kaisho53 did the honours and the suite of GPSs were updated. We took off toward the final and when we got within 60m, there was an overwhelming sense of OH EM GEE... We can see GZ but, we have to go through "THAT" to get there... Surprised

We walked further down the path in the hope we would find an easier way there. Nope, there wasn't so we made a bee line for the spot. Itchy, sticky and with sore legs, we made it and retrieved the container to find it wet and with some water on the inside... Twisted

As the log was passed around, Kaisho53 poured the water out of the container and did what he could do dry it out. Business all sorted, we looked at what lie before us and set off to find the path back to the car... That was bloody hard work for such a short distance I should add... [xx(]

A three star terrain is appropriate for this one but, I suggest you remove the bicycle attribute and add the snake. There aint no way you could ride to GZ unless your ET... Wink

Cheers Ferrarista.

Area was deserted today so we found the offset co-ordinates quickly. We wandered across the oval not realizing quite what we had to walk into Smile Then back to the car to get hiking sticks before set off into the pythons lair. Making as much noise as we could we made our way the the obvious GZ location and soon the cache was in hand. Log books seems to have dried out some and with trusty space pen that writes on wet paper we managed to sign this one. We dried out cache container as well as we could and replaced in its hidey hole. Thanks for the cache and the long grass experience.

18-Dec-11
Really needs a new book and bag as the current ones are holy and saturated.

And if you can get the grass mowed once a month everything would be perfect.

18-Dec-11
Our last for the day. We had parked nearby and ridden around the park and decided to look for this cache before headign over to watch the RC dirt cars race around the neab track and get some lunch.

Got the offset and headed off across the fields, down the slope, through the grass (singing - "we going on a bear hunt").

Log book is saturated and not possible to open or sign so we scratched our name on the last page.

Out for the day with Captain Terror and Fangsoki, we decided to head in for some luck of our own.

After securing WP1, we headed for GZ after a short walk across the empty fields, through the gate we came to some very high grass hmmm

It's not surely... but yes, yes it was. After making our way through the long wet grass we made it to GZ and soon had the cache in hand.

10-Dec-11
After reading all about the Pythons' successes, Gaz'n'Kab, Fangsoki and I scooted off to grab the first waypoint. I spotted the little sucker and soon we were off through the light rain to the final cache. Our journey today was rather straight forward as there was no sports going on at all. Through the gate and started down the hill. Turns out the grass down the hill is rather long, and today, very wet. Not terribly excited about this, Gaz and I eventually headed down, looking for the driest route. Soon at final GZ and took the time to admire the area a little as we sogned the log. Back up the hill, retracing footsteps. Nice to see the landfill site nearby is extracting decomposition gasses too, according to the signage. A nice little multi, TFTC.

My daughter joined me for an afternoons caching expedition.
The 1st waypoint was quickly found and then we headed toward the hiding place.
It was now raining, the grass was long, but the hiding place was visible.
When the cache was found, I opened the logbook only to find the log was too damp to sign.
I have no idea how water has gotten into this bag as it's a waterproof hide.
No exchanges made, and I didn't have a new log with me.
Thanks Ferrarista for the hide.

Pretty quiet on a saturday in November too. For some reason I had some problems locking on coords at wp1, but once sorted out a nice wander to the obvious spot and signed the log. Left a polar bear. As you do!

Quickly found offset and cache. Tentative approach due to concerns about meeting genuine pythons but none seen fortunately. Took St Andrews pendant left Amora pen. SL. TFTC Smile

Nice cache and our first successful Multi-cache find. It probably helped that there was no event on today so no muggles around as we scouted the area. TFTC.

899 - Found this one after a walk through the longish grass at 3:16pm. No one around the playing fields today. We managed to find a bit of a track into GZ and then back to the geomobile, but the grass in places was quite long. Thanks for showing us the home of the pythons, Ferrarista.

As somebody who gets around half of their caching done going to during or from sports events, I was looking forward to this one and, after reading the clue, had visions of being able to watch, find and log all at the same time. Alas, after peering down at the cache location after wp1 find the all too real prospect of dealing with real pythons led to a retreat to the sidelines. Another time, nice cache idea though.

10-Apr-11
I had obtained the cache location detials on a previous visit but given it was raining and the grasss seemed to be above head height at the time i did not venture down to the cache. This morning i found myself riding one of the nearby trails and decided to venture in from down below. Now that looked easy on the map but proved to be a little more difficult than I had imagined.
First I had to wade through the overflow on the dam and carry the geocycle across this and the fallen logs nearby.
Second even through the grass had been mown there are significant boggy areas at the bottom of the slope and several impassable drains (at least for the bike). It became obvious it was easier to ascend the slope and then cross over to near the cache site before diving back down into the head high grass near the cache.
Third having left my eyes back home it took far longer to locate the cache than it should have Red Face.

Cache logged I decided it was easier to return back to the MTB trails via the hard surface route.

15-Mar-11
Go the Pythons! And as I walked across the field, past the players in orange shirts, I had a moment of hope that the oh-so-successful Roar were having a little game here today - but sadly, 'twas not the case. On the bright side, the approach to the cache was clear of muggles and of grass: right up to within 5m of the cache, where the grass reclaimed dominion and closed over my head as I battled toward an unseen GZ. I called on all my tigerish skills to negotiate the foliage, and was rewarded with a lovely big cache in very good condition. TFTC! =^.^=

I'd never been down here before today. Quite impressed with all the facilities here.

Squelched my way across the grass and to the cache. Thankfully the grass has been recently slashed, making it easy going until the last little bit. Interesting hide!

Signed log at 1215. On the way back to the car I found a lost soccer ball, so I kicked it back to where it might be found next time...

Thanks for the cache, Ferrarista Smile

190 metre walk ... piece of cake ... NOT [:(!]. Found WP1 easily, and set off to GZ. I looked at it for a long time before I reached it. Compared to the manicured fields, the trek to GZ is something of a contrast, isn't it? Still, for a cache, we do what we must do Big Grin. Finally reached GZ and had the cache in hand very quickly. Signed the log and returned to the van. Just like the 190 metre walk, piece of cake Wink.

Ugh didn't check terrain rating before hand! Oh well - cache to be found Razz. WP1 is certainly anchored very firmly! thanks Ferrarista

09-Dec-10
I had totally forgot to do this one while I was in the area yesterday. Today, I was in the area again so I decided to have a look on in. Thankfully it was muggleless at GZ. I found WP1 with no problems at all. Plugged in some more co-ords and double checked (I have a bit of an issue with copying co-ords!). Made my way to GZ - where I could see the Terrain 3 came form Razz Made my way to GZ and started the search. I made this a little harder to start with but then I spotted the well camoflaged beast. The cache is in good condition. TFTC Ferrarista Smile

I am familiar with this area as it is also home of interschool sport, but I have never been down this end before. We felt a bit conspicuous as we headed towards GZ through the open but were glad for the protection from muggle eyes at GZ. TFTC

19-Nov-10
I was interested to see the tip gas reclaiming trial (near WP1) in full swing. Apparently it is burning approx 200 cubic metres of mostly methane per hour and will eventually be connected to generator.
I'm glad I did this on a quiet weekday but I still had to avoid a dog walking muggle who was intent on watching my every move. TFTC

17-Nov-10
A quiet day today, just a mower near the clubhouse. Found WP1 easily then off to discover the cache. My last visit here was in the winter for soccer not a recommended time for this cache I'm sure, TFTC

WP1 and info. needed was found fairly quickly. No one around much this afternoon except over in the distance, so I took advantage of the freshly cut grass to sprint along the home straight. Found the well sized cache in excellent condition and took a closer look at the feature nearby.
SL. Thanks for the cache. The area here certainly looks more inviting than it did a couple decades ago! Smile

A snakes and ladders cache Smile

I rode all the way from towne this morning on the pushbike to find the home of the pythons.
Once there I rolled up to the waypoint and parked the bike.
So far this morning my caching attempts had been interrupted by mums with strollers, surveyors and muggles who just sat and stared.
I wasn't surprised when the lawn mowing brigade turned up as I was looking for the waypoint.
Something about having a bike makes one fit in to the scenery though and I soon had the coords for the cache locked and loaded Big Grin

With the mowers following me along the fence I found a neat little gap to head through and escape !!
A quick check of the GPS revealled that I had gone too far and the cache was further away than when I left the waypoint [:o]
At least I got a good look at the Python's clubhouse Big Grin
Er !! Not exactly First Grade accommodations...... yet....!!

A bit more wandering along the fence got me closer and I headed off downhill toward the muddy waters.
Finally a likely hiding place was reached and for a minute or so I missed seeing the cache sitting there in a most unexpected place Smile
Nothing for it but to handball the cache to score a find.
TFTC.

Now I just had one more ladder to climb back to the top of the hill [xx(]

I was at home feeling sorry for myself, I had a awful cold, and was lounging in bed. Then this notification came up! I still felt awful, but the lure of a FTF was pretty strong, and as my partner would say I just had "Man Flu" So I got up got ready and miraculously I did feel a bit better Smile

I drove away sneezing, with my nose still blocked, but around here, you never know how quick some people are. I arrived at the first WP, I had a good idea where the clue would be. After a very brief search I had the GZ coordinates in the GPSr and I was off Smile.

The first part of the walk to GZ was easy, the next part a bit trickier Surprised, but in the distance I spotted GZ. It took a little while to locate the cache and when I did I was impressed with this hide Big Grin, very well done.

I opened the log book and YES I was *FTF* at around 10:10am Big Grin. Thank you also for a great FTF prize!

This was a very timely cache too, as this was not only another FTF Wink, but this cache also marks my 900th find! Big GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig Grin

This was a perfect hide to celebrate this achievement!

Thanks for a great multi cache. Big GrinBig Grin
