Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Staying in Aldinga for a few days and ranging from there to grab some finds. Scored another beautiful day but the nights are still chilly. Thanks for the hide
Found the cache open without a lid and out in the open. Everything is soaked and will need to be replaced.
Found while touring around Kuitpo forest and it’s surrounds. This cache is one that was found today. A quick find and all good here.
Find #4905 on 28 Dec 2022.

Visiting Wallunga for several days and today taking a drive over to the Mount Barker area and caching along the way. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining their caches.
Out caching today while visiting from Brisbane. Due to the number of caches found today, I am doing a generic log. Each cache found was enjoyable to find and thank you for bringing me to this location. Cache found and log signed. TFTC
In Adelaide today for a car service. Stopped for a few caches on the way back. TFTC
After an errand down south Owl collected Sushilord for a caching trip. After a pleasant walk to collect some OTD caches and a very nice lunch at the bakery, they decided to wander around McLaren Vale to collect some of the back roads caches. Owl didn't read about the snake until logging, but no sign of one, which is just as well, as it took her a little while to be at the right angle to spot the cache.
Found pretty quickly. Nice camo. A bit scared because of the mention of snakes in the description. It gave us the creeps for the rest of the day. Don't know if glass jar is the best idea but it seems to have survived. TFTC
Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
Based at Willunga for a few weeks, today found us up on the Range Road, criss crossing the roads amongst the trees, chasing caches.
Found and logged. Thanks misterdrewkittytoo

Out on a road trip with Aussie M & M, grabbing a few caches to break up the drive. This means I no longer have any days with only one find.... YAY!
Thanks from mogni

The threat of a slithery cache guardian was enough to deter me from this cache till now: it was then perfectly logical that I would finally attempt it in the near dark with nothing but a phone torch! I stepped carefully. Anyway there are a lot of soft burrows nearby so if not snakes then wombats or rabbits are protecting it. Picked up a trackable; this would be the first jam jar cache I've picked up TFTC
Last one for the day (now night - lucky Wal had his torch) after a great day out with Wal & Ol. TFTC!
On a the way home after a fab bike ride around Kuitpo with Pony1966. No slithery friend in sight... I walked loudly just in case! You don't see many cammo'd glass jars, nice work. TFTC
Out & about today collecting a few caches down South...got warmer than expected but we still had a pleasant day...
There was a lot of long grass leading to GZ but I trod carefully & held my breath while retrieving the cache...no spiders or snakes seen at this cache today...thank goodness.

Quick find today while out on a caching run with Mattycat, no red bellied black snake seen today only a cache in good condition TFTC misterdrewkittytoo
Out for a weekend of cache finding with Mr and Mrs Froghoppin.
Mr Frog dived in for this one so I didn't get a chance to look for the snake.
Seriously kiddies, be careful around snakes!

This cache used to have an uncommon D:T combination for South Australia. I suspect that is one reason for some of the visitors as people look to fill their DT grids. It was also one reason I went out of my way to find it.
At GZ I quickly found a well hidden and well camoflaged cache. Good voordinates helped.
Despite the fact that like others I wanded the old DT combination for my DT grid, the re-rating is much more accurate now. Thank you to the CO for doing that.
I liked the clever camo used to hide this one. It is a nice area and one which from time to time I ride my bike through. Although not along the road next to the cache.

Picked up very early in the morning, when the temperature guage read zero - brrrrrr!
Easy find - the D/T of 1/4 will come in handy down the track.

A 1/4 DT rating is surprisingly rare in SA, so when I was driving nearby I was more than happy to make a small detour. As many before I am sure I first tried to extract the cache from the wrong end.

A RBB snake sitting on top of the cache might have made this a 4T. No matter, one step closer (and only one step away) from my double DT. TFTC mdkt.
As a local living nearby...important to warn people that there is a red bellied black snake living in the very near vicinity of this cache. Long pants and boots a must. The RBS loves a water source and there are a few nearby, so please be conscious of this. They are pretty timid, but please respect its home and it. Cheers MF
Found the neat hide after a lap of the item. I kept on looking for an old school but didnt't see one.
Out & about with CPWanderer.
As CP had already done this one, I was left to find the cache while CP turned the car around.
Glad I wore my waterproof work boots, quick find.

Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring South Australia.
Currently camped with our Caravan at Kuitpo, we had a late start to the day but decided to head out and keep our fingers crossed that the rain didn't get too heavy.
Managed to visit Willunga and we were very impressed with this lovely town. Even managed to grab a late lunch at a cafe, which was really really yummy. Hope to revisit next week.
Of course we grabbed a few smilies whilst here and loved the history and views shared with us today.
Slight detour off the main road and we had this cache located. Here Mr Felix found a heap of mushrooms and even picked some for his dinner.
Think we were supposed to swap some pathtags with the CO too after the Mega.

Today our plans are to cache Victor Harbour with earthlight & the x trailers picking up caches along the way, we didn't quite make it that far as we kept stopping to grab some of the many caches along the way, all told i managed 67 with no DNFs the weather held out for us today with slight drizzle towards the end of the night finally turning into heavier rain, gwen from the x trailers hit her milestone of 5000 finds tonight and it was smiles all round, it was a great day had be all and another trip is already being planned to get to Victor with no distractions on the way (yeah right lol) arrived at GZ and straight away started to look in the trees being a 4 star terrain rating, as i looked i put my hand on something.....oh look a cache, this would be a 2 star terrain and not a 4, also glass jars are a no no as a cache container. TFTC
Found with 3LG and the x-trailers on a great days caching the sth.Had hoped to get to Victor but we all got side tracked so that's for another day.
Found 56 caches in all.
Definately not a 4 terrain but was glad of that.

Had a day off work today and what better way to spend it than getting a few caches around Kuitpo on a day just perfect for caching. This was my first for the day. I was a bit skeptical when I saw 4 stars and when I arrived at GZ I wondered what I might have to climb. [?]
Had a bit of a scout around looking at various trees, then widened my search and cache was found.
Thanks for the cache and for bringing me here misterdrewkittytoo.

Old school: where? A couple of mounted muggles were concerned about my car parked up the road. I asked them if it was running away! They assured me that it wasn't.
Thanks for the cache misterdrewkittytoo.

Found It!
Quick find. I was expecting an old school building but then I realized the real reason why the cache was where it was!

Made this harder than it needed to be by looking all over the place but found the clever hide eventually. Luckily the road had no other traffic on it today. TFTC
Certainly the easiest four star terrain cache we've ever done, and the cryptic description nearly had us fooled into searching the four star option. Eventually I went back to the car, grabbed the GPSr, and followed it to the cache. [^]
I think the old school that the road was named after is a little bit further South-East of this location, on the corner of Phillips Road and School Road.
Thanks misterdrewkittytoo.

Nice disguise of the jar bit tricky getting the car clear of the road but fun find
Doing a bit of caching on the way home from the JLW event in Yankalilla and stopped to give this one a try. Qucik find and sign, and also grabbed a travelbug to move along. Thanks for the fun!
Nearly spotted by two young muggles on their motorbikes. They were taking advantage of this beautiful day too
We almost decided to pass this one by, but we stopped and made a quick find. Thanks for the cache and the trip into this part of the world.
Left home before dawn with CPWanderer and Aussie M&M. Managed the Forty Winks trail and some others going to and from the trail and back home for lunch! No overgrowth today making it an easy find. Thanks misterdrewandkittytoo. Easiest 4 star I have ever done.
