Logs
Visited the F1 track in the middle of the day, which was pushing the mercury to near 50 degrees celsius. But the pay off was having the entire facility to myself, including the Welcome Centre, which has some neat pieces of Grand Prix memorabilia, including the helmuts of most of the winners of the Bahrain GP. TFTC
We weren't able to fill out the log because the armed guard was waving at us and insisted that we move on.
Visiting from Michigan, brought MaxB's Escorted TB Group Tour by to find cache and perhaps score a signed FTF.
Well not sure how to begin. I took the hint from the previous logger and checked out the GPS photo. Realized the owner's mistake in posting his coordinates as minutes, only problem is they don't equate to decimal degrees. Entered the revised coords and found both stages very quickly. Going on Friday afternoon and Christmas Eve, we didn't run into any guards patrolling the area.
I'd log as a FTF, but there were others who had signed the log book on the 11th and not logged the cache as of this time. On our first visit to Bahrain, we visited the race track during the week of a grand prix and some open track, it is a very interesting place to visit. TFTC. I'm posting the revised coordinates for other cachers to know.
The group tour all logged their visit to Bahrain here before the next race begins.
