Logs
Should have read the logs before chasing this one definite signs of a cache but no container attached maybe a decoy???
The cache owner may need to check this one out. I found a part of a contraption that I suspect is part of the cache inappropriately unattached to the tree.
this was our last cache for the night and after the dissapointemnt of not baing able to find the last one we were really keen for a find..... once again the gps was all over the place so we started searching about.....friendly possum made me look up with the torch and I was all over it calling out to Saints to get over here quick so we can get outa here....bit of a mission in the dark to get it back where it belonged but we managed
We parked and walked by torchlight to GZ which was in a clearing between 4 trees, we looked over them all then headed to another one. LawsonClan03 spotted a posson and was haing a chat to said possom when she called out to me to come look, I was too bust Geohunting to be concerned by a possom so I groaned a little but she insisted so I rolled my eyes and sent over to see she was pointing to something else, Oh YES! very well done. After I got to the car I realised I should have gotton co-ords for this log but wasnt risking the spiders webs forming to try again. We did notice it was about 6m away from GZ. thanks for this one, a lovely one to end the night with. Off to bed now. Goodnight
After dark I arrived at GZ. After some 5 minutes searching with the torch I finally spied to cache. I ended up getting the cache the hard way as I was worried I would not be able to get the cache back in position in the dark. As I was signing the log the rain started but it was just a short shower. Great cache.
I had previously DNF'd this one. The GPS'r had me in a similar location to the last search, right in amongst four trees. After frisking down these four without success, I read a few logs. Expanding my search just a little further than my four initial targets, I came across the cache.
Nicely done, Mr Gecko. Took care returning it exactly as it should be. Nice to clear up a DNF. TFTC GM62

Out and about today - on my way to visit A.Ladybug. Decided to look for this one since it was now online. I looked for it in one place then A.Ladybug found it in another.. Nice to see a little ingenious idea. TFTC
I was feeling a bit low today and Nurseyjulie drove all the way over here on the excuse of needing to clear up more of the Gecko Trail.
We were sitting on the couch looking at the map and I noticed an icon in my sea of yellow smilies. Cache on Venice is back!
I decided to let NJ drag me out for some fresh air and we grabbed this cache straight up
A weird and wonderful one it was and we made sure to tuck it back into position carefully.
Most of the time on our excursion I sat in the car a/c and watched my buddy run around in circles looking for hides.
TFTC geckomaster62, and the sympathetic ear earlier today

after rooting around for what seemed like half an hour at what i thought was GZ, i was still yet to find it. needless to say the geokids were cracking darkies by this stage and whinging the well repeated lines "come on dad, lets go". i was sure i was in the right spot. yet i was so fixated i didnt even think to look further afield until i had nearly given up. then i decided to look at a few other spots, and what do you know, i found it in no time. i was only 6m away all along. signed log and replaced the cache exactly as i found it. then i took the cranky geokids back to the car, feeling like a right boofhead. TFTC.
The cache is operational again . Please be patient when replacing the the cache . I will return to perform further maintenance in the near future.

Found today on a lunch break. Was very easy to see and wasn't where it was meant to be.
Not sure where it came from so didn't know how to put it back. Owner might want to drop by and fix it up. TFTC

Might want to go and put this in its place. Something has caused it to be dislodged and it was easy to see. All was intact.
My third geckomaster62 cache for the day and I think I'm going to enjoy caching in the area.
As with the first two it took me a bit to find it but once I had I couldn't see how it had lasted for so long without being muggled. I guess that is what makes hides like this so go. Just as I started to retrieve the cache the siren sounded in the AFL game being played across the river and I almost had a heart attack!
TFTC Geckomaster!

As Feathertop said we did the usual scratching and scraping like a bush turkey before we extended our search a bit more. Surprising the log was damp, the canals must be very tidal!
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
# 1209. This was our last day of caching in Brisbane before flying back to Melbourne tonight. I remember this one well. We were wandering her and wandering there and suddenly there was Robmc and Feathertop with the cache in hand. A clever cache and it seems to be remaining muggle free which is good. We were surprised to find the log wet however, as we thought it would have been fairly well-protected. TFTC
We did the usual thing at GZ, checked and scraped around the well visited spots and then we thought some more and then spotted it, very clever.
We let Rob do the technical stuff, retrieving, signing and replacing carefully.
Very well set up
Thanks

Yes! Finally found it. Very fun hide - the nearby dog didn't seem too impressed though. TFTC
Mr Garmin plonked me down in the middle of about four trees, quadrupling the search. After a good run finding Geckomaster hides today, I've got no idea on this one. The day was getting on, so after a good 15 -20 minutes I called it quits. Another time. First non muggle DNF for the day. TFTC GM62
Found with BCF88 on a cache grab afternoon. We enjoyed this one. I have to say, I was pleased there were no muggles around. TFTC. Log book was damp.
Found at 1541 hrs with Tiamet.
Very clever cache. Took a while with GPS coordinates being annoying but found it in the end! Contents were slightly damp. TFTC

Fixed this one up today.Operational, but may be a little reluctant to move from its hiding place because of the wet weather . To be honest due to the nature of this cache , I am surprised I am not called out more frequently . All good to go today though. I will revisit soon to make some minor adjustments.

Wasn't able to find it. Apparently it's been moved to a temporary hiding place? HELP!
Cache was found on the ground. It is very easy to find again so maybe CO could pop out and fix it back up? FB me or email if you can't find where we put it geckomaster
Oops, bit of a cache malfunction today. Was with Net88, Gambler and Whint and made our way from where I parked, finally, after the GPS tried sending me all funny places. Being a GM cache, was prepared to be messed with, but I quickly spotted the cache out in the open. Headed over, and sure enough, it was the cache, tether still attached, but not at the other end. Added our names and I rehid for the cache owner to sort out, will send a PM. So a nice easy, albeit disappointing one for us today. TFTC Geckomaster62
Out and about in the area with Gambler2000, The Captain of Terror & Net88! This cache was especially easy since it was lying in the middle of the ground.... not sure but I think 'maybe'? whatever was keeping the cache in position may have malfunctioned? Not knowing how to replace or even where to replace the captain hid it in a temporary hiding place which I am sure he will inform you of so you are able to fix this one up again

Out caching for the day with Whint and Bad Dal, Captain Terror and the puny giraffe like Gambler 2000. As Whint and Bad Dal mentioned the cache was on the ground and the Captain put it in a safe place until the CO can go out and fix it up.
In the area on business and since it was a holiday, I took the time to see some of the area and cache. There was some work being done in the park. I found the cache after a short search. The cache was not in its original hiding position but I did return it to its original hiding position. SL. TFTC.
Last of the day. I was busy searching for this one when I got the call from the mechanics telling me that my car was ready to be picked up. It didn't take me long to find the cache, and I was on my way back to the car at 1225.
Thanks again for an almost exclusive day of geckomaster caches! The exercise did me good

We spied this one fairly quickly and BM had fun retrieving it (and not in the obvious way!)
Many thanks geckomaster62!

Found with TassieGirl on our afternoon doing a few caches around this area.
We had a bit of fun with this one, if you find it you'll know why.
I don't think the ants liked us disturbing their home but once we brushed them away the cache was all good again.
Great hide!

Caching on the darkside was the order of the morning with an early start I was time to take on the “geckomaster” by geocycle. After defeat at my last attempt of the twists and turns of a geckomaster cache I knew I had to start thinking outside the normal box (more precisely the “Sistema”).
My cache blindness earlier in the morning had obviously been corrected as I spied the obvious before I spied the cache. I assume this location could well have been under water in the early part of 2011 [?]
Did I say this one was actually a Sistema container

This one almost had me beat. The gps was pointing one way and then the next. Talk about doing the geocacher's dance!!
It was more by chance that I spotted something that was just a little out of place. Armed as it were I tried my hand at a spot of fishing. Oh yes, I was successful.
Very nicely done. Found the cache dry and in good condition.
Thanks geckomaster62

Found today @ 17:30 while out and about georunning. Cache, log and contents are in good condition.
This time I was ready. What I'd failed to appreciate on my first visit was the REELy clever release mechanism. Once I'd figured it out my extraction was much more successful.
I've replaced it as found but I know quite a few people who might struggle to retrieve this one.
TFTC.

I found it @ 17:40 but unfortunately I wasn't able to extract the cache as it seems to be wedged tight
I'll return with some means of releasing it from its hiding place.

Lots of fun finding this one. Glad I had a lanky friend with me. Neat hide.
We have not visited this one for a while, and it appears it has had some serious cache creep, but probably justified due to the nature of this cache. All good now , and back in it's original state. Happy Caching Adam & Elliott.
Up from Adelaide for a conference so it was time to get in some long-distance caching. After reading many logs praising GM62 on the quality of hides I wasn't going to leave without this one. Quickly made one very good assumption and BINGO! TFTC GM26.
Another clever cache by Geckomaster. Finding was easy, retrieving and replacing not so easy. A little patience and extension required. TFTC.
being a GM62 cache, I was expecting to spend some time scoping for it, but spotted it from about 10 meters away, was very exposed. Didn't have pen, so replaced where I thought it should be.

Took a while to find this tricky hide. Persisted with search and there it was. TFTC
The GPS had GZ in open space, pretty the much smack in the middle of three different trees. We fanned out to check all the options and dizzyanne had the right one. We had the kids with us so we bribed one of them to do the technical retrieval/replacement of the cache. TFTC
Looked in a couple of places before finally locating the cache. There were only a couple of muggles passing through and not paying us any attention. The grandson enjoyed retrieving this one. TFTC
Team RJSF finally found, after some email help from the Geckomaster and the Flotmop team. Looking in the wrong spot entirely, last time around. Very inventive! TNLN SL
After Williamina, on to Venice... parked around the nearest corner and walked back. The iPhone could not have been clearer about which object to focus upon...except that it was wrong! After gradually widening the search area, I changed my angle of attack, and shazam! There it was. Another ripper! It wasn't the kind of cache I was expecting at all, but I know what you mean about admiring this style. Good work in setting this one up!
2nd for the day, Colombus had me at GZ, thought it was wrong until I had a good look around. Nice hide. TFTC SL
This one took us sometime and we are so happy 2 get the smiley face. Took bug tftc
A really pleaant quiet park, despite the difficulty in reaching it on foot (from our direction anyway). This was a great concept and we managed to find it after reading the clue and some previous posts. TFTC
this was a fun cache to do. Was at the wrong spot with krewlworld then as we opened up our look we had it on hand.
Yup, been here before too. Took advice from previous finders and widened the horizon. Came up with the goods after a systematic search. TFTC
Found this one with Stairman1 and Geodog. Very tricky hide. After retrieving the cache, we signed it and then put it back how we found it. Geodog had a swim on the way to this cache. TFTC
We had a little trouble with this one until we read back a few logs. Once we had widened our search, janine found the very well placed hide. A close inspection revealed the clever extraction method......excellent job gm62. [^]
The cache name kinda suggests a romantic place to take your significant other to, but your cache notes are honest. Singing "o sole mio" to your love beside that bog of eternal stench is probably not the way to win a heart. However, if s/he is a cacher, at least there's a cache to find. Nice bit of hiding, 'geckomaster62'. This type of hide always gives me grief, but today I was lucky and had it in hand in minutes. TN/LN/SL
Ha - clever! Now this one had me searching and poking in the obvious places but for the wrong type of cache. Just as I was about to give it up and move on I broadened the search area and spotted something out of the ordinary. "Why that looks like a ... oh no I won't tell!" TFTC!
GZ had us at no particular likely location and the swarms of wasps around certain trees made us a little anxious. After reading previous logs, we sort of had an idea what we were looking for. A reconnaissance mission failed to show anything likely until we widened our search area by about 10m. Fangsoki spotted this one and Loki retrieved the cache - albeit by non-standard means . Thanks geckomaster62
This one had us looking quite a while.. the wasps were a bit disconcerting. I expanded my search a little and found the cache. We grabbed it and did the deed. Very clever hide geckomaster62. TFTC
Amazing! I found a geckomaster cache without getting a hint. That doesn't happen to often.
I started barking up the wrong tree but when I shifted my focus I soon had my eyes on it.
Very sneaky lizard-man. TFTC. now on to the next gekcomaster cache for the day.

Headed past the canals today following my GPS... In my enthusiasm, I managed to overshoot by a fair way... so back up back up!!
Near GZ, I wasn't real sure what I was looking for, but after thinking a bit laterally, I managed to find this sneaky hide.
.... and this time I managed to retrieved and replaced the cache without breaking anything!!
Thanks geckomaster62, very clever.

There was a break in the weather so after a lap around the new market at the old myer shop, bee2 was convinced to indulge in a small detour.
Bee2 decided to sit out the walk through the wet and play with her new toy while bee1 hobbled off. At GZ, we danced with 4 trees before finding a partner we liked.
Nice hide. Thanks geckomaster. Only 16 more sleeps to a new GPSr!!

Very "damp" underfoot here today so I was treading lightly while inbound to GZ... The GPS put me in the middle of many options and I spent a few minutes ruling out a couple of them... After narrowing it down I headed toward a potential spot and spied something that would reveal the container...
A few seconds later I was armed with the log book and had my sticker on the page... [^]
Another fine cache geckomaster62... Well done...

Last of 12 great caches we did today while Mr Aussie L was at the cricket. Australia got 8, we got 12.
Fortunately my caching buddy saw this one. I took a little Batman item for my"Batman Again" cache on the Gold Coast. Getting at this cache was one thing, but I had to do some rather painful "footwork" to get it back into place. Never mind, it was a challenge, and because it's so safe I left a Beachball geocoin which wants to visit beautiful places. Please move it on, I've had it far too long.
