TFTC found second time looking, its still there and in the place the hint says it is, the log book is a little damp but other than that its fine.
The logbook is a little bit damp but is still able to be written in. Why is this still unlisted?
I enjoyed the views and the cache didn't take long to find. Thanks

Was in Dunedin to attended the first ever Mega in New Zealand. Managed to work it out so that I was able to team up with -gonefishing-, fozzmiester and agcnz on an 8 day caching trip around the South Island, this was day 4 of the road trip.
After finding GC3JN8D - Written in Stone (Dunedin, Otago), this was the next cache that I had on our list that we needed to find today. We decided that it was time to go into Jubilee Park and work our way around and pick up a few more caches this was another park and grab traditional cache, well not quite but close enough. This was our last cache today in Jubilee Park for today.
Since we were in the area it was a quick walk to GZ once we found a safe parking spot it was a quick and easy walk to GZ as we arrived at GZ we managed to find the cache quite quickly, retrieved, signed and replaced it back as found, very quiet at GZ. Thanks thegingermoose for placing this cache here and for bringing us to this spot. TFTC TNLNSL (5097) A K9 friend is always welcome, I use to own quite a few different types of bred's in my pass and love all of them, they are very intelligent animals and are very special in their own way.

The cache was quickly in hand and seemed to be in fairly good condition - I'm not sure what the needs maintenance log was all about. TFTC
Found as part of an 8 day NZ Mega Event trip. Day 4 - Dunedin and surrounds. Thanks to the owners of the 500 + caches which I had the pleasure to find along the way and which contributed to a very fun trip.

Came here with fozzmiester and Yeetrees on a day's caching around Dunedin while here for the MEGA event. A quick find once we had looked up what the plant species was - smartphones have their uses. Signed log, TFTC.
Found on the great post-Mega roadtrip with agcnz, fozzmiester and yeetrees. A great trip from Otago to Wellington, taking in many backroades and some fantastic scenery along to way to over 400 caches. Thanks to all the cache owners for the great caches we found on the way.
It was disabled, but we looked anyway and found the cache after confirming what the hint plant looked like.
Thanks for the cache, thegingermoose.

Found it after a while with jtwd. The cache was wet inside and muddy wasn't the best container for a cache every thing was wet or muddy and couldn't log in the logbook because the pen was not working. This cache really needs a new container, otherwise TFTC.
found with wethreefourdices with no trouble but the local who was fixing his car wanted the third degree as to why we were around he thought we wer doing a survey on the local area.... TFTC
A few walkers out and about, buthad this spot to myself.
A least it wasn't flax!

Inside the box is a little bit damp. The cache was covered in dried grass and leaves but marked with crossed twigs.
Found while car was getting a WOF and service. Great Summer's day -- not too hot, cool breeze and high cloud.

Found it on the way home from work. Second time around. Whole row of houses facing on the other side of the road all containing curious muggles!!!
We failed to find this nearly a year ago due to the inaccurate coordinates and the presence of muggles, but this time, with the corrected coordinates much closer, although still a bit out for us, it was a relatively quick find. TFTC
Found at 16:36 on 4/07/2011.
FINALLY, found this one in less than a minute now that the coords have been changed...

Coordinates changed from:
S 45° 52.588 E 170° 29.096
Coordinates changed to:
S 45° 52.586 E 170° 29.095
Distance from original: 13.1 feet or 4 meters.
Thank you for your advice - i borrowed my friends GPS and yes you are quite right it is a bit off. I have changed them and i will put the rating down a little.
Thanks

Took us two visits to find. Unsure why as the second visit we found it quite quickly. TFTC
Woop! This was GP and I's second attempt at this one - and with the update co-ords from CachingKiwi we seemed to stumble on it quick smart. Funny - I was sure we looked there the last time... I blame the leaves.
Used CachingKiwi's coordinates but still took awhile to find. I question the appropriatness of responding to a significant number of DNF's by just upping the difficulty. With a large number of searchers putting the GZ in the midle of the grass area perhaps it's the Etrex that needs attention. Magellan GC coordinates provided. Guwapo's toy rake would have come in handy. Salamat!

Thank god, finally found it as we just about gave it up for good. Leaves certainly helped to hide this cache!
I took a new fix and got S45 52.587 E170 29.098 with an accuracy of 6m. Hope this helps anyone that struggles to find it.

Had two cracks at this. As others have experienced our GPS put us in the middle of the grass. had another look today after consulting other logs. Still no joy. maybe the autumn leaves are not helping, but spent about an hour scratching around. Hmmm, maybe a better hint or co-ordinate setting needed??
2 of us searched every astelia for about an hour with no luck. Autumn probably didn't help.
PS if you happen to find a 2L ice cream container somewhere around here i recommend leaving it shut. I opened it thinking i'd struck the cache but it was instead something much worse.

Hi guys,
After four attempts at trying to find this one I'm getting a bit frustrated.
The lack of accurate coordinates isn't helping, as well as the hint object being one of many.
If someone finds it in the near future could you post some better coordinates.

GZ was way off. Looked around the area for a while without success. Could do with a better hint.
[Since GZ is in the middle of a clearing, and the clue will lead you to the wrong type of plant, it was somewhat of a fluke that I found this cache.
It is under ]an astelia, sometimes called a bush flax, but it is a lily![Rescued the TB as it was bulging the lid of a not too waterproof cache container. TFTC]

by the sounds of things a few people are having trouble with the GZ location so i have upped the difficulty.
My old etrex seems to zero out pretty well so maybe it is the reliability of older technology. Thanks H

yes the co-ords were 10 m out for me. I did average some new ones but then forgot to save them.
used the bitsprayer tip to make for a quick find though.

Found this one, on a greenbelt geocaching expedition with Geogeek2. Coords very far off! Only found this one with the help of bitsprayer's comment. I'll add to his comment: once you cross the grass, look under the second hinted object from the road. Good luck! Took us a fair bit of crawling around.
Found with macyvers08. The GPS was well out. Found with the help of Bitsprayers hints and much gardening.
Took a fair bit of hunting, including using the infamous Moneydork method. Turned up the cache eventually. Cheers Gav [7237]
When we arrived we thought this would be agreat place for a cache, howvere like most before us the GPS put us in the middle of the clearing - resorted to the clues and previous logs without success. Even Bitsprayers log was no help with the number of hint objects to search. Spent quite a while but no luck. Perhaps better co-ordinates would help - it would certainly narrow down the hints to search.
After trying close to GZ and failing we set to and after searching nearly every hint object came up trumps. A lovely area in the middle of the city.
Thanks

Found in the end, GPS not much use here, if having problems, stand with you back to the tree with the ropes on it, then walk straight across the grass section to the flax on the other side.

This is another of those caches where you need several small children to grovel around under the bushes searching for the cache. I'm not that keen myself.
Tricky one as coords a bit out got muggled by house accross road as he has always wondered why people are always heading in and out of there.Explained what i was doin, seemed keen, maybe a new geocacher?
With a combination of our coordinates placing us in the middle of the grass, an abundance of hint objects all around, and a horde of mini muggles at the nearby swing, we were unable to search as thoroughly as we might have, and we have to admit we're not enthusiastic about such hiding places unless the coordinates are highly accurate.
A nice stroll whilst in the midst of driving lessons....ahhh...parenting!

Have to agree - "What a difference it makes to NOT be in a hurry!" After an extensive search cache was in hand......had to quickly sign log and replace cache without attracking too much attention as the park started getting busy with dog-walkers...... TFTC TNLN SL
Miserable wet morning and I thought I would get lucky for sure with no one around-ha! no one except a man running a garage sale directly opposite, he had no customers and all the time in the world to wonder who the crazy woman was plodding around on the sopping wet grass. I did not give him the satisfaction of seeing me dive under a dripping flax bush. Will come back again again.
Now I read the logs, I see others have had the same experience I had. Was just "detouring quickly" past this one, but the GPS told me I was at GZ in the middle of the grassy patch surrounded by bush. Okay, that's what clues are for... and sure enough, there are a wide and varied choice of pseudo-synk all around the bush edge and beside those paths through the bush. A tempting rope swing, too! Since I happened to start at the wrong side of the clearing, it was a considerable time before I found the hide. Had just picked up a golf ball and a beer bottle, so felt I had earned the CITO TB inside. Yep, was late back...
What a difference it makes to NOT be in a hurry! GPS still out but walked to the object I speared myself on yesterday, bent down and there it was.
Had a window of a couple of minutes as I travelled between appointments so had a quick look. Realised it wasn't going to be a quick find when GPS zeroed out in the middle of the grass with the undergrowth 8m in one direction or 10-11m in the other. Walked around a bit in hope that GPS would settle but it didn't. Headed to nearest hint item (the cacher's favourite- not! ) and speared myself on a thorny plant that was intertwined in it. So, bleeding and with time well and truly out, I retreated. Will return at a later date and hopefully GPS will be more accurate.
Nice to meet up with Cumbyrocks here today, pretty quick find after gps settled down, muggle kite fliers with little ones in tow and their dog here too.. we wondered if it was Finn & Co?? TFTC
Well, my cache blindfold must have been on the first time I looked for this one. Was waiting for some muggles (?) with a dog (Finn perhaps?) to get out of the wind and the vicinity when ZCA pulled up. Thinking there was safety in numbers we headed down and ZCA made the find after a short search. A very pretty spot that would be great for the Cumbymutts. Thanks for the cache Finn (and thegingermoose!).
Popped out this afternoon with the kids to grab this one. Found the obvious hint object but couldn't locate the cache. Had a poke around in the surrounding leaf litter but wasn't able to find it. The kids got a little cranky with the amount of time it was taking so we went and played on the nearby playground instead.
TFTC SL well done lovely place so green we have been here before, easy find no muggels about only one little dog chechking me out.
Slim window of opportunity between the end of prizegiving and pickup rendezvous - do I or don't I? The log is evidence of what I chose! I'm claiming FTF at 10:26pm - I'm not sure the first logger in the book can rightfully claim FTF - touché!!!!
TFTC, and congratulations on your first hide!

Out walking Finn - stumbled across this cache in his favourite spot... funny that. Conveniently had a TB in my pocket - Droped off. TFTC. Nice spot
