The most recent log from Riddell says that 3up knows where it used to be it seems it has definitely gone. The CO has not logged in since early December 2011, nor has the CO responded to my Needs Maintenance. It appears that it may be abandoned.

Hi everyone, sorry for the lack of communication. I have been unavailable to replace the cache and therefore am archiving the cache. Sorry for the inconvenience guys.

Walking with the Wednesday walkers of the Essendon Bushwalking club on the first stage of a quest to walk the length of the Eastlink.
We had 3up with us and he knew where it should have been and it just is not there!

As I and several other have not found it I suspect its gone. Could the CO please give it a quick look-see? - cheers David.

02-Apr-12
had a good look in all the likely places, and stuck my hand in some holes dark enough to question my sanity.

can you please confirm or deny its presence?

Sadly no joy for me

25/03/2012 18:22 A tricky one for sure unless it is actually gone. Despite looking at GZ right where 0m was showing in the obvious location we found nothing. The recent very heavy floods were very high and quite possibly got up to here and maybe further. We will be back once it is checked. At least I got to use my new pokey-stick here Smile Sue & David.

19-Feb-12
On my weekly Bunnings trip I stopped in here for a look. Loved the park but I looked in all the holes I could see but couldn't find the cache. I'll come back with the kids for another look. They'll love playing here.

I was having trouble with this one but the boys were loving throwing rocks in to the water. As little boys do ! Big Grin Then it all came to a sad end when my youngest ended up throwing a rock into the back of my eldest's head! [:(!] Not intended of course but all caching was over!! Will return as this is a great place to visit.

Lovely river! Easy rock find Smile

So many muggles at this spot on a sunny Sunday afternoon! Had to sit around and wait till they all left. Got the butterfly trackable, left a girl guide badge. TFTC. New log book needed.

Nice walk along creek. Found cache easily. Left Scottish keyring and dropped off CachekinzButterfly Travel Bug. Took nothing, but thanks for the cache.

I've been wanting to find this one for a while now as the Nüvi has been dinging at me for quite some time as we go through the tunnel. Today was the perfect opportunity and it ended up being a relatively quick find at 15:55 once I realised that it wasn't a micro.

A beautiful spot, which made me anxious to get back on 2 wheels again Big Grin.

TNLNSL. Thanks patternott.

PS: There are what appear to be a few muggle entries in the logbook.

Great little find. Was planning on doing the multi at Yarran Dheran but our GPS phone was having issues locking, so did this one instead. TFTC

31-Jul-11
This one took a while, spent what seemed like heaps of time looking in all sorts of places as the GPSr didn't want to be too accurate tonight. Eventually let it settle in a clear spot, then trusted it and it lead me straight to the find. Thanks to patternott for putting a cache here, a good hunt at night. Need to bring the bike back in daylight.

Found in the company of coley_babee.
As we were walking around completing a multi in this park collecting clues we arrived near GZ and I mentioned to coley I thought there was a cache nearby here.
After some fumbling around we found the container.
Luckily it was dry, I'm actually a little surprised really.
Thanks patternott for this cache.

We managed to park at just about the farthest point from the cache, which gave us a nice walk along the gravel path under the tree canopy. It's such a great area.

Took nothing, left two pathtags. Thanks so much for the cache, patternott.

I can’t believe how many parties the kids go too, but it gives me a couple of hours for a quick cache run in the nearby suburbs while they play with their friends. What joy! Today was no different and I picked up 10 caches in a couple of hours, which I thought was pretty good going for a wet Saturday afternoon. I concentrated on the Mitcham and Ringwood areas and this cache was one of them. Thanks to patternott for placing this cache. I really enjoyed the area and it is a really ideal location for a cache. SL TFTC.

Wow, what a brilliant spot. Was in the area this morning and having done what needed doing I was heading home then thought why not go find a cache while I am here. This one looked a nice quick drive by so headed toward it not expecting much. Only 5 minutes from the main road and it felt like I could be any where! Whata great surprise! I parked and strolled to the GZ, guessed the location and took a seat while waiting for the muggle gap before retrieving the cache and signing the log, then waited again for another muggle gap to replace the cache. There were quite a few cycling muggles going past but I wasn't worried at al, as it was such a nice spot to sit and enjoy the peace. The cache is in good order. Thanks for the cache, patternott.

I found this cache at 5:05pm ast the 2nd of 2 on the way home. I had been past here last month but a smoochy couple near GZ meant that I was not going to be cache hunting that day. On finding the cache today, it turns out that they were almost sitting on it. Thanks from D B-A.

This is a great park that we have visited many times for geocaching but it's never a problem returning but in the heat of this hot New Year's Eve afternoon I was grateful that it wasn't a long walk from the car today. The cache was found in the first place I looked
Thanks patternott for the cache

Was in the vicinity of this park completing the Hillcrest hike series, so decided to come past here... Mr Happy Chappy made a dive for a fairly obvious location while Mrs Happy Chappy had a rest... A large amount of fumbling turned up nothing so asked Mrs HC to help, only to have it find out that the cache was exactly where she was all this time!!! Clever girl.....

Enjoying the twilight after Christmas day. Went for a long walk and found this. Had to wait for some people who I thought might have been cachers, they hung around for a while, I left then they left. Easy from there.

Found by Bob at 0925

Having missed this one the first night it was placed, it's sure taken me a while to get around to going for it again - especially since it's less than 200m from home. I guess it was a case of waiting for a bit of free time around home rather than making a diversion while doing other trips in the area. Anyway, I decided to clean up a few local caches on the way to work this morning and this was a quick find in a very familiar spot (it is, in fact, a waypoint for our own Yarran Dherran cache) and one I had checked out that first night (but the cache was missing back then).

~15:50 King jnr and geoprince

I know exact spot and have been here many times before. As a member of the l0ocal SES unit we have also used GZ for several training senerios including pumping and "vertical cacualty handling". From the gate next to GZ we have many times crossed the creek; today however would have been a different case as the water was well over the rocks and running fast in the rain. It took us a little while to find this one as we initally searched in the wrong spot.

our thanks to patternott

This is Mr Xambo4u's second visit to this cache. Mrs xambo4u notified Mr of the release from UMP and of he went. Met Geodes and HillTribe at the scene and after a thorough search rang Mrs. xambo4u. A log was made right then of the no show so no one else to rush out but that log has disappeared, where did it go?
Retuned to sign the log for a nice easy find
Thanks for the cache.

Out here trying to find it with Geod and Hilltribe for the first the find.  After 3/4 hour look we believe that the co-ords must be wrong.

I noticed this one late last night and, as it was such a pleasant evening and it was only 250m from home, my son and I went down tro try to find it. We searched by torchlight for 30-40mins but didn't have any luck so, this morning, I thought I'd pop back and have another go in the daylight. After re-searching most of the spots we'd checked last night, I was close to packing it in when Geoff from HillTribe showed up, so we searched for a bit longer and then James from xambo4u rolled up as well and we went through it all again - but even our combined efforts failed to turn up a container after another 30mins or so. Either it's the hardest difficulty 1 hide I've ever come across, or the co-ords may be in error (I've posted a NearMap image showing where the posted GZ is - which all of our GPSrs tended to agree with).

Thanks anyway patternott - it was quite a surprise to see another cache named Yarran Dheran appear at the same distance from our home co-ords as our own cache of that name (and whose 4th wp is within a couple of metres of those for your cache).

Well I think a 2nd to find for us today or is that 3rd given the short lived muggle abduction???
Arrived to see the knowing smile of fellow cachers GJMMelb who had beat us to the prize. Was actually surprised Geodes hadn't popped back too. So nice to meet you guys GJMMelb. TFTC patternot, let's hope it stays on place long enough for others to enjoy in this tranquil little spot.

We are.............. FGTFBNFPTF!!!!! icon_smile_cool.gif

...........Translated that means First Geocachers To Find But Not First Person To Find lol (see owners log below re short lived muggling)

We wrote in the log that we are Second To Find as we werent the first people to find this cache and we certainly wouldn't have been anything like FTF if it was there when Geodes, HillTribe, Xambo4U were looking last night / this morning. icon_smile.gif TNLNSL

After finding the cache MMelb went for a bit of an explore in the river etc as we waited to see if anyone else would turn up.  We were just thinking we would go home when a car arrived in the carpark and so we waited to see if they were cachers which indeed they were and we finally met 2 members of HillTribe. icon_smile.gif Great to meet you guys too! We chatted a bit about a certain delicious looking cache and then GMelb rang from Canberra needing some info on a cache up there.  Whilst attempting to find this info on our car GPS, Datruk arrived and so we spent some time chatting with him also.  We really enjoy bumping into other cachers out in the field!!

After that it was off home to get back to cooking dinner which I was just about to do when the "it's back" note came through!! lol  Crazy a bit????? - YEP!! lol

TFTC patternott, it's a nice spot that we enjoy visiting.
