Quick find here today on my way past, cache was easily found and is all goodWith a few days off I headed over to the northern Eyre peninsula for a 2 night stay in Whyalla, my main aim for the few days was the FITG and the FTF trail plus finding a few caches here and there along the way. Just under 300 caches found for the trip. Thanks for the cache

On a big day of Km’s during my
Holiday today to get 17 caches in 3 new LGA’s and also my second last date needed for my “date placed Calendar” challenge. I also shopped for supplies to hide 7 geocaches for you locals!
All caches were in good condition and any needing logs replaced- I did it! Some very interesting areas.

As an educator in QLD on holiday I was keen to get this cache. I left some coins as we teach money at school! Also left a pathtag and took a rock.

Nice find in the darkness. Tftc. This was our last one for the day, thanks to Detofinbars for day and taking me to my Podiatrist appointment.

Lucky this was a decent size which made it easier to see in the dark after a long day caching around Port Pirie. Took out the lovely Angel and replaced her with an amethyst crystal in honour of the neighbouring town.

Found on a trip to Crystal Brook and Port Pirie with Team Waldron for a few days. It rained steadily for the morning but gradually eased by mid afternoon. The aim for the weekend was to find as many caches as possible in the area which we accomplished with damp clothes, soggy shoes and a muddy car. Thanks for the cache Tk2!

17-Feb-21
Well it’s 2021 and I have finally said good bye to a not so great 2020 and it was great to finally be able to have a reasonable holiday as I have not had a decent break since 2019.
Made to South Australia and finally crossing the boarder and then being greeted by a couple of very friendly SA police offices for which i had the official paper work to allow me to enter.
After making my way west along the Eyre Hwy I went as far as Penong and the Eyre Hwy which I have not travelled along since the late 70’s when I was on a holiday with my folks and this was the last holiday before I started full time work as a sparkie and finding a few caches as I go.
Geocaching when towing a van is not always easy and I have to be a bit selective on which ones I decide to try and find for safe parking purposes especially along busy highways.
So then it was down to the Eyre Peninsula to see the sites down there Venus Bay, Coffin Bay National Park and Lincoln National Park were some highlights and I will come back again to have a better look around.
So after nearly 2 weeks spent on the Eyre Peninsula it was time to start heading back to Victoria but another lockdown in Vic has just occurred so now to change my plans again.
So I rounded the bay and started heading back down the Yorke Peninsula to check this part out.
So after relocating to Crystal Brook I am able to spend the whole day exploring especially after having to wait to get 4 new boots fitted to the Geocruiser so I spent the morning on foot walking around the main part of town.
The weather has definitely warmed up a lot as it is now in the very high 30’s so definitely need to keep hydrated.
Finally picked up the Geocruiser and after meeting the CO earlier this morning he recommended a few caches to look for and this was one of them.
Hit the Hwy and then another detour an I continued along this road to get back to Crystal Brook
Taking the dirt roads again which is great as they are usually quieter to travel on.
Another school site that is no longer around but a least a sign/plaque shows us where they used to be.
So after finally locating the cache I added my name to the log and on to the next one.
Thanks Tk2 TFTC.

#6416 - 11:45; Day 6 of the Alice Mega Road Trip with Sol de lune and now albida33 who joined us this morning for the rest of the trip, so most logs were signed S.A.L. as a result. After a second night in Burra, we were now caching our way to Port Augusta via Spalding, Gulnare, Crystal Brook, Port Pirie, Napperby, Weeroona Island and Baroota. We had finished our run through Crystal Brook and were now headed towards Port Pirie. Only a short detour in for this nice sized cache. MAD indeed. TFTC Tk2 Smile

On the road to the Alice Springs Mega with LuckyL10n and Albida33. We headed through Burra and Port Pirie before arriving in Port Augusta for the trek up the highway. Collected a good number of caches and all were found with no issues and the logs were soon signed. (Some logs were signed as S.A.L. to save space.)

Thanks for the cache and fun in getting to it and finding it.
