We looked for a while but couldn't find it unfortunately

Since the road in was blocked with a tree, we walked to the lookout along the fire trail. A beautiful walk and since no cars could get here from at least one direction, the place was very quiet and we had plenty of opportunity to search for this one without being disturbed. Above us, the sky was blue, but with the mist below us it looked like we were standing on top of a large void. Very beautiful and a great place to visit. We are adding a favourite point here. Thanks wbfoto and ThrosbyonChurchDomsky

Came by this awesome spot on the 2023 Australia Day weekend, made long by taking Friday off, yay! Arrived without first reading details while in internet signal range but yet enjoyed a really yummy first principles lunch on the road consisting of that classic backpacker meal of hand torn baguette with laughing cow cheese triangles followed by delicious cherries from nearby Young.
Anyways got to GZ and was a bit spooked by the prospect of meeting a snake at close quarters on this day at about 38deg, so decided to enjoy the view without looking and poking further to find this clearly well placed hide. And enjoy the view we did!
Thanks for placing the cache wbfoto and taking it on further Throsbyonchurch and now Sui_001.
We'll be that much more organised next time.
Cheers

This is where we had a picnic lunch today. The cache found after a quick search! The views from here spectacular! The dam levels are so low, a sunny day today and the smoke all gone made for amazing colours! Thank you wbfoto (adopted by throsbyonchurch)! : )

I love a good lookout, and this was no exception, even though it was smoky and freakin’ hot! Lovely view, thanks for the cache!

27-Dec-19
An amazing view even if the smoke did limit it. Looking at the low water levels was sad but still enough for water skiing. I didn’t have all the cache info loaded so I found it difficult to locate without the hint. Thankfully aubeasty got reception further up the hill and we had the info we needed. Thanks for bringing us here.

A nice spot with great views of the dam. Road in was a problem as they were grading it while I was there. Got in and out OK. Cache found quickly and all OK.

I was going to walk down to big flat rock, but I was short of time.

Thanks,

Having just collected Big Flat rock I grabbed this one on the way out . Thanks Throsbyonchurch for the placement and generous clue that made it an immediate find. All good at the cache. Cheers

We were unable to find it with two people, searching for a good 15 minutes. We didn't see the hint because of low phone signal, but we're kinda sure we checked everywhere. The views are amazing though, so it was more than worth it!

01-Oct-18
This is well worth the drive for the view alone, which is lucky since Genghicat and I couldn't find the cache. We absolutely scoured the thing checking each other's spots to no avail. We used feel and eyes. Dissapointed in no find but very glad we came up. With the lack of rain lately the gums and soil almost look like a monochrome filter has been applied over the landscape which is a marked variation to the vivid blue of the lake.

We brought our caravan to the lookout and parked it there. Then it was a short walk to find this cache. It was a successful hunt and the log was signed before some time was taken to enjoy the view. The caravan was left here while we went off adventuring to pick up the other caches in the area. Firetrails make for fun driving and all were easily negotiated. Thanks to wbfoto for this cache placement also.

We made the quick deviation to check out this lookout and retrieve the cache. It did take a bit of searching but we got there in the end. It seems that the magnet may have gone missing, but it was possible to jam the container into the appropriate place so it should still be there for the next person.

Thanks for bringing us to this fantastic view.

We love a good lookout cache and this didn't disappoint, some pretty nice views from here that's for sure. Cache was found quickly though the log was a bit on the wet side and may need some maintenance soon. The sun was getting low which added to the colours of the landscape, pretty spectacular really. Glad we didn't have to share the platform with any muggles. Took some photos and sat of the railing before heading off. Thanks again wbfoto

13-Aug-16
The day was drawing to a close on our caching day out with the Stormcatchers but with the sun setting the view was fantastic from here. On arrival we thought we may have to give the cache a miss as there was a muggle setting up his campsite not far from GZ. But with the four of us we manage to create enough distraction to recover the cache. The log was totally ruined and we no replacement available. It would have been nice to continue down to the other nearby cache but time was moving on and we needed to get back home. Thanks for all the caches that we did on this trip with the Stormcatchers and we hope to return to complete the others another day.

Quick Find, but the log is saturated and needs to be replaced.

It looked a bit hairy for old bones, but ended up not too bad. Cache was exposed so I tucked it away a bit. Stopped to admire the wonderful views. Truly a great place for a cache. Thanks wbfoto.

On my last trip north there was not enough time to stop at Cowra, so I decided on a day trip. When I listed all the caches between Young and Cowra I had quite a list I could try to do. So off I went.

Last time I was here this one was not here, but now with a replacement I could come and enjoy the views while signing the log. Thanks.

My mum and I found this cache while on my birthday caching trip around Cowra! We decided to go on a scenic caching route on the way back to Canberra - it included Wyangala Dam.

After finding the nearby cemetery cache, we drove up to the lookout. We would have never come up here if it wasn't for this cache! The view from the lookout was fantastic! We had to be careful of the big gaping hole in the floorboard though. After a fair amount of searching, we finally found the cache. Great hide!

Our thanks to wbfoto!

Have admired this view before and today was no disappointment. A beautiful day with an amazing view. Budokan a well known sucker for views would have enjoyed this as I know others would have enjoyed standing with me soaking up the sights.

A little scrambling was completed and the cache was soon in hand. Happy it was replaced as a great spot to come.

A week before my big trip to SA there was time for one last day trip. This time I headed out to Wyangla Dam region. Uck!, two in a row. Fantastic spot and seemingly not that many places to look, oh well, I am sure I will come back one day. Thanks.

The view was great, a little smokey but great! The cache did not show it's self. I used the clue and climbed under and over the feature for ages. Some friends turned up so we had 5 pair of eyes looking for this one with no luck. I'll be watching this one.

Great spot to stop for a bit of a picnic lunch and a brew with a view and that is exactly what we did. Made the find in a short time then got distracted with photo taking. Took a look at the trail up to Big Flat Roack and decided the subaru wasn't likely to make the grade and with limited time left for walking decided to let this one slip. Back on the road for us.

As we left the old cemetery another car was just behind us. As we pulled up at the parking area, the race was on to get to the viewing platform before the car full of muggles. We made it with about 30 seconds of searching time up our sleeves. This was not enough time so we sat it out while they took their photos & made their small talk. Eventually geohubby had to get down & dirty. SL TFTC

15-Sep-12
Two of us spent a good twenty minutes under the platform looking for the cache with no luck. Had an idea from the size of what we were looking for but couldn't spot a nano either. Either this is really well hidden, it might have fallen off and rolled down the hill, or it has been moved, muggled. Will try again next time we are back out he, probably next September when we are back for Jake's next birthday. A good hunt in a beautiful spot so it wasn't all bad, we had those views to take away with us.

10-Sep-12
Another top spot and great cache location. Looked and looked, but no stash was found.
Well deserved of a cache. Will be back at a later date and watch for finds.
