A lovely old and forgotten cemetery. Interesting to wander around. Quick find at this location. TFTC.
We are staying in Cowra for a couple of nights and we decided to come and visit this location today. After driving a fair way along the dirt Trail towards GZ, there was an enormous tree down and blocking the road. We decided to leave the car near the tree and make a walk in to GZ and beyond. It was a beautiful morning as the mist was gradually clearing and although it was cold, the blue sky was beginning to be visible with the promise of a bit of sun on our backs. We found this one with no problem, and were happy to have the opportunity to walk around this historic cemetery site. Thanks Domsky
Found quickly. What a weird spot, thanks for the history it was really odd to just stumble upon some graves in the woods. TFTC
A big day traveling through Pennsylvania State Forest & I came down to this area – the classic saying if it wasn’t for geocaching I wouldn’t know about this area – history – many thanks for bringing me here.
Very cool spot to bring some very cool people for their first cache thankyou
Easy to find thanx to the hint, but I had to throw away a pair of socks afterwards! So many things stuck to them.
One of the things geocaching is so good for is the opportunity to hear personal stories. This is a great example of that, and at this stage it’s hard to imagine how it must’ve been relatively few years ago. Many thanks for bringing us to this place.
Found it - Thanks for bringing us to this interesting old cemetery. Such a shame that the other graves have been destroyed.
Interesting old cemetery. Found with Joolay on a roadtrip to Forbes. Thanks for hiding this cache wbfoto
How cool is this place. Amazing
On a mini tour heading west with Kittykatch. Wonderful weather to be outside enjoying.

I love a history cache.
This was brilliant. A total eye opener. We spent a lot longer here than we expected.
We had a beautiful walk up through the bush to magnificent views and punctuated with this unexpected gem of a history lesson.
Thank you so much for this Cache.

An amazing spot here, and one of the great things about geocaching! Just would not known it was here otherwise! Thank you for bringing us here! Xx
This was another in the “wtf is this cemetery doing here” series we seem to have come across thanks to geocaching! After a careful wander amongst the shrubs and graves, @ziggiau had the CIH.
A secluded spot that made me wonder why people decided to put a cemetery here at all. Quite inhospitable for digging six foot deep holes. Cache was an easy find, all in good order here. Thanks wbfoto.
Wow. & Wow again probably the most random remote Geocachers that we have had the pleasure to find follow the track you won’t be disappointed 4x4 or walk in Thanks for placing this in memories we of our forefathers Cheers
Interesting area, and an out of the way cemetery. Found quickly and all OK.
Thanks,

Found -- 12:55 pm -- Thanks for the hunt and Thanks for bringing us here to this location wbfoto.
**Cache Condition:** Good.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
**Trackables:** None seen in this cache today.
**The Cache**
Found quickly. SL and returned cache to its hide'y hole. Log book getting full but still ample room if for logs. Loved this little bush cemetery. Bit of a sad state for the graves and it would be lovely to see it all cleaned up and cared for. It certainly does look very small. Sounds like a very, very interesting little haunt up here. This cemetery reminds me very much of the bush cemetery called *Joadja Creek* on a steepish bush hill over near Mittagong (NSW). It's unusual seeing denominational sections with no headstones.
**The Day**
OCW *Mr ToC*, *Little Kitten* and *DustyJapserJet* for a quick weekend caching and cache maintenance, and WOW, what a weekend it was - Absolutely AMAZING !!! We had a fantasic time. A bit sunburnt [:o)] on the drivers side arm, tired, exercised and very happy from a journying through some amazing countryside. We found a bunny among bricks beside a cache , sheep running loose outside fencelines, fortunely No snakes . A hot day but a nice breeze is blowing.

It's the weekend and the weather is fine, so Touchstone7 and I decided a trip outside Canberra was in order. Today we headed back, but were determined to take the scenic route and collect a few caches along the way.
Found with Genghicat, in good condition. The cache that is. An interesting history and nice drive maybe a little restrictive in places for a 2 wheel drive without clearance. Enjoyed the drive. Sad to see one family lost 2 children at 11 months only a handful of years apart. Tftc
The history of this place is quite interesting and explains why this cemetery looks so derelict and unloved. The cache was very easy to find and the signing duties were soon done. The container was then replaced as it had been found. Probably it is only cachers who come here now. Thanks you to wbfoto for showing this sad little piece of history.
Travelling from Melbourne to the Bony Mountain Music Festival, near Warwick, Qld, we picked up some caches. This was one of them. tftc.
We headed back down from the last cache to jump back in the geomobile and head off for a couple more. This was a very interesting location and so hidden from the world. Love these old cemeteries, especially the ones that are slowly reclaimed by nature, really adds to the atmosphere. Lots of history, we spent some time exploring before collecting the cache at 16:56.
Thanks again wbfoto, probably the favourite cache of the day.

Well, what you find when you are caching. Both us and the Stormcatchers were taken aback with this cemetery. Almost eerie. It certainly takes you back to an earlier time in our history. We picked up a travel bug here that the owner had reported missing last year so it was good to get him back on the road again; he had done fewer than 7 kilometers from when he was released in Tasmania so he has a secret to tell on how he ended up here on Mt McDonald. Another great cache and a favourite from us
I had a caching route planned for today, grabbing a few T5 caches and a power trail, with scattered caches between.

This was quite a dead cemetery. I was quite surprised that such an area was originally chosen for its purpose.
Thanks for the cache.

This is awesome, who would know these exist if not 4 geocachers placing such things in such areas. I always enjoy a good dead rest. Tftc fav point !
We detoured past this little locale on our way home from Canberra.
How amazing to see how little is left of a town of 7000.
TFTC wbfoto, the whole family enjoyed it!

Nice find. Kids were spooked. Found a nice friendly tracker dog that's been waiting patiently for 6 months.
I found this cache while on my birthday caching trip around Cowra! My mum and I decided to go on a scenic caching route on the way back to Canberra - it included Wyangala Dam.
We drove up the dirt track and arrived near the cemetery. We would have never come here if it wasn't for this cache! It's amazing what cachers find out in the bush. After some exploration around the graves, I found the cache fairly quickly. Great hide! I left the 'police-dog "Jola"' TB in the cache.
Thanks wbfoto!

Having had a fantastic Saturday night what better way to follow it up with a little road trip to find a few caches. The trip was also a highlight as it was a beautiful day and I just enjoyed getting out in the car smiling all the way. There was a little stop to catch up with a wonderful person then I was on my way.
I am a sucker for cemetery caches and this one was very different. Just in the middle of the bush. You could almost go right past it without knowing. I read some grave sites, and then made a quick find. Happy to be on the cache wagon again.
SL TFTC Fav point from me.

A week before my big trip to SA there was time for one last day trip. This time I headed out to Wyangla Dam region. This is why I like exploring back country. The amazing things you come along to. A great historical spot. Thanks.

Caching take you to some really cool places and this is one of them. Looks like someone has been doing some renovations in the area. Thanks for bringing us here
Found at 11:56:00 AM.
A day of caching around and above the dam with the family and camping and caching friends.
Interesting Cemetery. I was expecting a Catholic section too. The Jewish section appeared grave free, but upon reflection I think it was just marker free. Coordinates were out by 15 meteres, but didn't manage to take new ones.
Found with DogBoyOz and the JmanJezzas
Thanks wbfoto

After the nice walk up from the road for the Mt Mac Fire Trail and Dam Good View caches we opted to drive around to these others (still needed to find our way back to Canberra on the back roads before too late.) Found the head of the trail easily and made the wander. Interesting cemetery and not in a place I would have expected one.
What a sad, sad place. So many stories & heartbreak here. Yet another place we would not have discovered if it were not for caching. Loving your caches wbfoto ! SL TFTC
The family loves graveyard caches this one was great we explained to the kids how tough it was to live in the day. There was a plot there that was a 120yrs old very interesting, the container was in good nick the TB is still there,

Had morning tea here in the bush. GPS was a bit erratic but found it soon enough. Loved the place and it's history. Thanks wbfoto. Left Lucky Wanderer TB.
Wow, what can we say? Beautiful, awesome, fantastic location. As a life member of the Association for Gravestone Studies, this was a perfect place to visit. Got very distracted exploring the cemetery, then remembered that we had a cache to find so got down to business. The cache was an easy find and contents intact and dry. Then it was back to exploring. We will just have to come back here for a much better look around this mountain. I'm an archaeologist and would love to meet up with you wbfoto to have a look around and talk to you about what it was like growing up on the mountain. Will definitely be back to spend longer in the area and further explore the cemetery. Thank you so much for putting a cache here and sharing this spot with others, ensuring that the folks buried here are not entirely forgotten. It was good to see that the historical society are caring for the area. Top cache and our favourite favourite!

Lovely sunny day to do caching today...awesome old cemetery...Mr Bushies2 found it...spent a while looking at the graves and tidied up some artifical flowers on their graves. Thanks wbfoto for bringing us to the cemetery and hide.
Fantastic! Who would have thought so many people lived here!
The cache was nabbed pretty quickly, then took some time to read the gravestones.
Thanks for the cache, lovely hidden location.

We were very glad we detoured in here, to make a find in this interesting location. When I read out the details from the listing, we were all amazed at the size of the settlement that was once here. Nice spot, thanks wbfoto.
A very interesting area, and yet another spot that I wouldn't of visited but for caching. Interesting to hear all about the area and to think what it may have been like it when in full swing.
Thanks for the informative cache wbfoto.....

We both had flat batteries in the handheld GPS's so this one was found with just the hint for guidance after the Nuvi got us to the parking spot. Its unusual to see a cemetery on such a sloping piece of ground. Some signs and headstones were spotted amongst the trees and some restoration work seems to be happening.
An interesting place that needs further exploration.

Wow thanks for showing s this hidden history, the size of the area shows a once large township. Not offen one finds a cemetery on ground that such a slope and gully running through it. Will be interested in finding out more on the area.
