Another confirmation: 3 teams looked today, no muggles in the way, but still did not find it. This one probably needs to be checked out by the owner.
After Intervening Days IV on a caching run with Rabbitto and The 2 Wanderers. DNF despite lots of digging around. Think it might be gone!
Did not find this one today and joined the log list of geocachers who have visited this spot to no avail.
As this one is almost 6 months since the last find and with at least 10 geocachers that have not been able to make the find, it appears that the owner does not want to replace this one so it should probably come off of our lists.
We also failed to find this one. This was our 2nd attempt to find this cache and we were able to spend quite some time as the area was deserted except for the occasional muggle who was walking on the path not too far away.
Perhaps the owner, bel04, could check it out and confirm that it is still there??

Had a really good look twice. Muggles on the bench nearby second time round when we were looking for a lost pouch of tobacco... couldnt';t find it
We too failed to find this one [B)]
Perhaps the owner could check it out and confirm it's status.

Had to visit 3 times waiting for various aged muggles to move on. I found a suitable place for a nano at the top of the leg, but the hole was empty. Frisked everything I could see around the whole playground until some muggle mothers with prams appeared, so decided to retreat and try again some other time.
First cache of the afternoon and we only just managed to find, and rehide it before a muggle family arrived. Phew, that was close. Thanks for the cache.
A big soccer meet was on today but fortunately the playground was vacant. TFTC
Sweet little cache. How do the kids in the two schools get on? Hate each other? Private vs Public. TFTC

Suscoe's 8th find this morning.
Soccer playing little muggles finally went back to the game.
A quick find and return.
Thanks to bel04 for showing us this place.

1st find of the day, and 2730th total find at 09:23 AM.
Well we've finally found this one. We've been here a number of times and have been unsuccessful - so we took the email a friend option.
Armed with this new data we went straight to the spot and located the cache. The weird thing is that we have searched this spot more than once, without success, yet today it just fell into my hand.
Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing

We've spent quite some time here on a number of occasions. Our continuing lack of success . . . .
I've said all I've needed to say about playground caches, so I'll just mention that it was raining so there was no one around. I remember when the High School nearby opened in '86. My basketball side used to train there and they would work us like dogs. Found memories ... Not!
Hate 'em in playgrounds, but fortunately it was deserted and was was able to jump off the bike and make a quick find.

As I drove up I noticed that there were mini-muggles in the area. Fortunately, they left just as I stopped. I waited a little while, and the coast was clear. A quick find, as the cache was hanging where it should be.
The log was chockers, so I replaced it (I have the old one at home if you want it)
Thanks, Robmc.

Adults in playgrounds is never a good idea but with no-one aroud I took the chance and found the cache in the 2nd place I checked,.
It was actually on the ground, so I've replaced it according to the clue.
Hope it sticks around a little longer.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks bel04 for this cache here today.

Found new years day. There was activity all around the area but I went unnoticed. I was about to give up when I had one last feel around for luck. You are right the magnet is not very strong. TFTC
Fortunately the area was bereft of muggles today, otherwise I would have had no hope. There was a cricket game on so I had to time it. As well I did as a muggle toddler and parent arrived just as I walked away.
I'd attempted this a couple of times but been interrupted by the large groups of Somalis playing soccer here.
This morning it was an easy grab, although the pine-bark seems to at a lower level, and the hide is a tad exposed.
Thanks bel04 for bringing me here, SL

Log replaced. Couldn't find original casing. Let me know if u stumble on it. Not where originally placed.
A clean up day of the area on new years day - log is now full . thanks for the cache bel04
The log is extremely full after the recent local meet & greet and desperately needs to be replaced.
Found it @ approx. 19:30
A nice easy find. Felt a bit weird being this close to a playground without kids, but what do you do?

Went for a quick walk to fly son number 1's new remote controlled aircraft at this park. Cache made for a quick find on our way home. TFTC.
Looked for a little while and was then joined in the hunt by the crazy creels and the cache was soon in hand. TFTC
Found by Mary & David at 1525. Great little park and playground. Sneaky little container. Our thanks to bel04.
Sneaky hide, I would never have found this. Dad found a red back under the playground equipment, hope no little kids put their fingers in that spot. Maybe we should carry spray.
Found following the Intervening Days event in the company of SimplyMii and previous finder Princess Diala... would have given up except for the encouragement that we were looking in the right place. Ended up with a splinter from the tan bark, but thankfully didn't encounter the redback. The 3yo enjoyed playing on the playground while we searched.
Found after the 2010 Intervening Days event in Melton.
The playground was occupied which made the find a bit easier to handle.

Thank goodness for EB Nano, you look less conspicuous hanging around a playground with a child in tow. Found a nice red back initially then we were joined by a fellow cacher who made short work of the find. Nice to meet you Maccamob.
So many cachers around that we attracted a muggle, explained what we were up to he decided he would rather go fishing.

Log was still alright when we signed this one, there was a curious muggle nearby who aparently got the run down on 'geocaching' before we arrived.
Replaced back and all is good

Hmmm - arrived to find a couple of kids in the vicinity - but not actually at GZ. So I proceeded to the spot, took a seat & managed to retrieve the cache fairly easily, but not sure how long this would last in its current location. TFTC - having seen the number of logs, it was certainly a busy spot today!
One of many found today during my 'Intervening Days III' cache hunt. Found with Marshy (Blacklegend) and Richo (XD1). Found once we found the correct leg. Luckily the park was empty during of search. Thanks for the hide.
8th find of the day. Tricky tricky tricky and a bit painful T4TC Again lucky I had help with this one.
Found with Romax after attending the Intervening Days geo event.
When we arrived there were still some kids playing around on the equipment at 7:30 pm. They should have been in bed! Seeing as this was the last cache of the day for the Swaggies, Max & I sat on the seat and waited and waited. Finally after about 15 more minutes, they left and we were able to find the cache in it's correct spot, so after reading Phetlerns log below, it would appear that someone knew where it was supposed to go.
Thanks bel04 for the cache.

Had a bit of a look around before reading the hint which made for an easy find, thanks bel04.

18th of 52 for the day after attending Intervening Days III. Found with Marty (Quasar3671) and Richard (XD1). Under the watchful eye of people nearby in the sports field, we were able to make the find. Got lucky with no kids playing at the time we were there. TFTC.

[Interesting! As we pulled up we noticed a chap was rear-end-up looking in what, from a distance, seemed to be a likely location. Sigh of relief; maybe we can borrow his geokids. Oops . . . not a Geocacher – someone just trying to find out what-ever it was in that spot that he had seen people looking! Hmmm . . . . seem like the last finders were muggled! Our first of three for the day where muggles were involved or had observed.]
We found the cache after we parted some tan bark, but we were perplexed as to its location as it was not where we thought it logically should be. A reading of the cache notes (as we log this one) indicates that it certainly was not where it should be. We would suggest it needs a stronger magnet along with a maintenance visit to put it back where it really belongs – certainly won’t last long where we found it!

Found on a drive-by caching adventure after attending the event... A sneaky hide, in the second place I looked. (or was that 12th) My 759th find and 15th smiley of 19 for the day.. Thanks Bel04
There was absolutely no-one around when I arrived at GZ. It took a bit of digging around before the tiny cache was located. Thanks for the cache.
Found @ 4.45pm with Shane.Thompson and Bushfire after a day at the Intervening Days III event. Easy fine on a long day caching. TFTC NINO
Found by Roma and Max in the company of our friends Iain and Daff.
We had to bide our time here as the facility was occupied and not the place for 2 male searchers to be.
However patience prevailed and an opportunity became available where Iain made a quick find.
Thanks again belo4 for this challenge.
Romax.

Shane.Thompson, the Snakecatcher and he does remove snakes when they are too close to muggles and the ageing Bushfire headed up to Melton today to find a few caches and to meet old and new caching friends and to attend the Intervening Days Event.
We arrived at this location about 16.30 and only a soccer teen playing with his ball on the oval who was not very worried about some guys checking out the play equipment. Cache was soon located and the log signed and we were off to the next cache on our list.
This would be a perfect spot for a silver nano, high up, but then I am known to be devious down in Geelong. Thanks again for the cache. We replaced were we found it but maybe it should be placed higher to get out of young muggles sight or the sand knocking it off where it is located.

This find was made very easy by the fact that he cache was handed to us by the previous finders who were logging it when we arrived. TFTC
I didn't expect to be looking for this one but heavy rain did the job on the locals and I had the place to myself.
Thanks

We almost DNF'ed this one!
We scoured all over the play equipment, and had to resort to the hint.
After some digging, I spotted something unusual - ah ha!
Thanks again bel04.

We came past here earlier today and saw where the GPSr was pointing and being two old farts with no kids we decided to leave this as we tend to stand out. After tea we were heading back past this way in the quite heavy rain and with not much likelihood of any one using the equipment in this weather we stopped to have a quick look. The caching gods must have been with us as we found the cache in the first place we looked. As we headed back to the car the synthetic courts looked more like a swimming pool

After the continuous rain in the past 36 hours we needed a cache fix but it featured wet shoes, mud, water over the roads and evidence of earlier much higher flooding.
A very impressive sporting facility and a worthy tribute to a man who had obviously contributed so much to the Melton community.
As per the previous log we had a very pleasant chat with a local team vicbradybunch before heading off to find a couple of their offerings

Find number 5 of 9 in Melton this afternoon. The weekend's caching was cancelled due to the weather but I thought I would duck into Melton for a few sneaky finds this Sunday afternoon. Lucky there were no kids on the playground. I arrived at the park and noticed how good the grounds looked next to the playground. Pity the kids of this area don't respect the effort and money put into facilities - broken bottles have been smashed all over the pavilion. Thanks bel04.
