After dropping off the dog at the kennel and refreshed with a coffee from the bakery, found with no difficulty after searching on the wrong side. gps would not settled down.TFTC
Easy find, but the contents were behind the neighbours fence! With cab165 and lunathedog
Nice tidy cache found without any problems..not even a dog bark ..they are big ones haha ..thanks for the placement
What a hidden surprise this small remnant is! It was kid central today but there was a but of "one upmanship" going on so all good. Thanks for the placement bumandworker
Nice little walk. I had to wait out a few muggles until the coast was clear. TFTC!!
A quick find with Tregearp whilst on a loop around Wakefield to earn some metres for the Reach the Peak challenge. All in good order. Thanks b&w for the cache.
SJT_NZ and I headed off to get some caching in on such a lovely day, a nice loop walk down the cycle way, through Wakefield and out the other side while we attempted to climb the current peak. Thanks b&w, all in good order.
My plan for the day was thwarted by a closed trail, so I came back to Wakefield to make up the difference.
I couldn't find the closest parking spot, so I had a nice little walk over to GZ. TFTC.

Quick snag and tag here after a short stroll along this Rail Trail. Cheers
Zara and I are in Nelson for a few days. Toby stays behind this trip as hes back at the Motor Drs. Zaras booked for a heater - which was a 'no go' in the end. Some caching and and event at Tahuna. And check out some Op shops. So lets go see what we can find.

A clever hide
I am being taxi Mum for my son and daughter in law for the Heaphy Track and finding a few geocaches. I stayed in Motueka today and will drive over the hill tomorrow. Thanks bumandworker for creating this hide. It was find 9623 for me.
======== NZ Mega 2021 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2021 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, October 2021

Visiting family for a few days cos its been ten years since we were last here.
Went for a quick walk to the village for a look.
On the way we passed this cache and it stuck out like a sore thumb, so on the way back I stopped here to grab it.

I was nearby and saw this cache on my map. A quick wander over and then I found it all in good condition. Great camo! Thanks bumandworker.
Another nice one!
Tried with the foot to see what it loose around here, then bend down and got it to sign and replace.
No one around in the early morning on a Friday.

As we were nearby picking up a few puzzles in Brightwater, we decided to carry on out to Wakefield to pick up the last traditional we hadn't found. Just as we found the carpark area, the clouds decided to dump their contents down in one heavy drop, but it didn't last long and we soon had clear enough skies for the walk to GZ. A nice quick find and sign. tftc
In Wakefield tonight to pick up my daughter but time to find a quick cache. No problems in the dark and signed and replaced. Thanks for the cache.
Lots of muggles around. First two kids but suddenly many more were playing near GZ on this beautiful Sunday morning. TFTC
My man took me on a caching exploration...hitting the road between Brightwater and Wakefield...After a slow start to the year I have got my caching mojo on and am trying to hit 365 for the year! A clever camo but it was soon spotted and the cache was signed and returned. TFTC
Last find for the day and the weekend for us. This was close to where we parked up for another cache, so walked the short distance. As seems to be usual, there was a lot of activity on the other side of the fence so stealth and silence was required in extracting and signing the log. Needed a new log, so some RITR added. TFTC B&W.
Day 2 of our weekend in Nelson. Today's caching target was Wakefield and Brightwater, places we were not too familiar with. All up a successful day by our standards - 26 or so found with a couple of DNFs for various reasons, but we had a good brunch out at Brightwater and got to briefly meet a CO on our travels. A few good walks and a decent amount of multis to allow us to learn more about these towns. Thanks to all COs for the caches. We will be back, hardly scratched the surface

A cool cache, very well disguised. Log too wet to even try to unfold though, sorry not better prepared today.
TFTC!
TFTC!
Found on a nice evening walk with mum and dad. Book is drenched so will need to be replaced. Took a photo as couldn't even unfold it! TFTC!
We were in the area picking up puzzles and grabbed this one as we passed. A nice hide. TFTC.
Tuesdays are obviously the meeting day for Wakefield's Move in Slow-motion Society and the members of all ages were out in force.
I needed to feign interest in the sheep in the nearby paddock for a good ten minutes before being given a clear shot at the GZ. Fortunately the cache was in the first place I looked.
Thanks

A weekend trip to Nelson to attend the event then cache our way back to Blenheim via Brightwater, Wakefield and 88 Valley Road was hatched earlier in the week and with Pi Day kindly offering up not one, but two shiny souvenirs, it was agreed that we would head over the hill, again!
Saturday morning to the Event, sleep in the car Saturday night (for me, the Seagnoid would take his bivvy tent and sleeping bag) then a long and slow trip back to bag as many caches as possible. Somehow though, this was lost in communication and the Seagnoid kindly volunteered himself to be Joe le taxi on Saturday night so the whole thing was brought forward 24 hours. My G P S has packed a sad and won't work anymore so I was on borrowed equipment and hastily loaded a G S A K list of potential finds, and some solved puzzles, and off we set at about 5:30 from sunny Blenheim. Grabbed caches before it got too dark to keep going, and managed 6 by torch light which helps towards one of my missing M G S C attributes, yay, just the Events to go now to qualify. At last it's Pi day. Wake up after an uncomfortable and too warm, then warm enough, then too cold night.
On the road home, the long way round, via Brightwater, Wakefield and 88 Valley and St Arnaud.
Whilst getting to here we grabbed some Damson plums off a nearby tree overhanging, nice. Also might have grabbed another larger stone fruit, yum.
No problems with the hide here and all quiet around this area

[green] Suddenly I find this weekend is free, So capperz and I set off to the Pi Day event in Nelson. And to grab a few puzzles. Gotta get them souvenirs! And, since we are out there anyway, grab a few dozen caches along the way.
Spent Friday night in Grampions Reserve, got to the event, and now heading back to Blenheim via St Arnaud. Main objectives out this way - a wherigo and a letterbox cache. The wherigo is done, now off to the letterbox. But we gotta get there first, and this cache was in the way.
Stole some peaches and damson plums on the way to the cache. plums were a smidge over ripe, but the peaches were wonderful. Some old red flesh variety.
Again the maps are missing these trails and the reserve. Will add it later.

The trickiest part about this one was finding where to access it. Once there it certainly is an interesting reminder of past rail days, thanks bumandworker.
Abandoning St Arnaud, now en route to Nelson.
One of a series of caches along the way.
Straightforward find. Cache in order, log signed. Cache re-hidden safely, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

TFTC. Number 7 for MGSC 75 in a month challenge. Caffeine helps even if made badly. Now into the West...

Quick find , novel cache container. Only muggel a white cat sitting in the garage window. TFTC
Got within 40 metres only to find several fences and a paddock between us and the cache. One of the advantages of being on bikes is it's relatively easy to spot the short cuts.....in these case a connecting walkway. Nice hide and no muggles.
No muggles up or down the line today so soon had the log signed and the cache back in place. TFTC bumandworker
quick find, cache was falling out of container so turned it around to hold it in better. TFTC
No bikes on day in question so found quickly. We had to come back twice as I wanted to trade item so I had to go back to car and get treasure of mine. Thanks
Nice quick find and last one for today after making my 500th find a couple back. TFTC
This has been one of those caches which has been relegated to "another day" each time we've been passing through Wakefield so today we made the effort to find it. A pleasant walk along the walkway, one muggle hanging washing but not in view of GZ. Cache soon in hand and natural cover used to screen us from any approaching muggles. Nice hide. TFTC.
After the event today two caches were on the list. Then we were notified of another one. Once again the route to take took us passed this cache. It had been nominated so many times yet somehow always got left behind. Today was the day and with Grandson navigating nothing could go wrong. At GZ the cache was soon found. No muggles and log was signed thencachetucked back. Nice! TFTC
Quickly found. We keep very quiet as there were muggles just over the fence, TFTC
Took me a while to spot something that was a bit out of place. Log is full and wet.
Took a while to get the cache out as it was too far in and gone down behind. Got it out in the end. SL TFTC
Im always keen to grab a cache along the old railway. It a real shame it's all gone after all the money and man power it took to construct it.Tftc
A wet and miserable day but rain eased off enough for us to do a quick dash and grab. Cool container. TFTC.
