Didn't o find we think it's because the school wasn't there and we saw a broken sistema lid ??
He said you're not allowed to be in there, dear. But the GPS said it was there it is obviously an old school so maybe we can and two steps in and I found it! Great!
Found with taurus1955 and BentleyTB. It's amazing that the toilet block is still standing here. Felt very conspicuous, especially when a young fellow rode up on his motorbike to ask if we had car trouble! He was very nice and was able to tell a little more about the area. TFTC
Out exploring the local area with misschief18 and Bentley TB in very drizzly weather but caching is always on the agenda. Made hard work of this one but finally had the cache container in hand and the log signed

Geokiddie gave up and climbed the tree, so it was up to me, and it was I who received the little fright!
Suscoe was out and about today heading to Leongatha and Korumburra for a bit of caching.
It was an overcast day which kept the temperature quite pleasant.
We saw some beaut country around here.
Our 10th find of the day.
What a pleasant drive out here.
A quick find for us.
Thanks to Gonefishen07 for showing us this place.
Being retired teachers we could almost here the voices here from days gone by.

Container seal has stretched and lost its elasticity so will not seal the container. New container needed. I have put the whole cache in a plastic zip lock bag until owner can get a new container.
Another school that has bitten the dust. Be careful of the cow manure! Cache wet inside, but I cleaned and dried it out as best I could and put cache in a plastic bag.
Memories are made of this! Geo-hubby Colin58 attended this school, played tennis across the road and helped to build the brick BBQ and tennis clubrooms. I also played tennis here and helped build the clubrooms many years ago. TFTC
This cache haunted me, we had a look at this when we first started (3 years ago?)and our car gps had us two roads away...All good today for a quick find. Removed melted crayon and trashed contents cleaned cache topped up and signed log with banana1,2 &3. Thanks for all the work you put in GF.
What to do on beautiful Sunday, Tax or caching?
So MissJane and I went for a Sunday drive a did some caching on the way.
This cache was not where I was expecting it to be. It was a good hiding spot.

Our regular Wednesday geocaching outings are gradually getting further from home as we seek new additions to our collection. Today took us through Leongatha then via the Marden road to Nerrena, Dumbalk, Meeniyan and back home via Koonwarra. On the way we had 10 finds and two disappointments.
This old school site was a real eye opener. TFTC

I just left one old school site to arrive at another, they were not far apart in the early days. TFTC.
After leaving Leongatha heading towards Mardan, it was impossible to drive past a few caches. This was the third in 15 minutes. Parked the GeoRanger and made my way towards GZ spotting the likely hiding spot. Log was signed then replaced. A familiar road as I have had customers along here!

Found without any dramas. Seems such an out of the way place for a school. Thanks for the cache.
Cache found by Chewywombat and Nic just before sunset. Must have been a nice little school in it's day. A shame it's only a toilet and a pile of bricks. Just be careful of the open drain near the entry to the toilet. You could quite easily fall in and hurt yourself.

Catching up on old logs that I missed doing. Found this one with crig and geomum. TFTC
Found it fairly quickly. Looks like farmer recently had mower out. Nice to have some short grass to walk over. Interesting location. TFTC!
Out on the bicycles again today for the discovery of a new local treasure. We were not disappointed and were glad to learn a bit more about the local history. Left a TB, picked up Jimmy Maff's pathtag. Congrats to Jimmy Maff on his 800th FIND! Wow- hats off to ya, Jimmy.
The school site is certainly a bit desolate now. By chance it was milking time so I drove extra slowly so as not to send dust through the sheds! I will think about thees people next time we have a nice Iced Coffee on a hot day. Thanks Gonefishen.
This was the last cache for Fredd01 and myself today after cruising around sth gippy. An interesting old site. Spotted a magnificent magnolia tree nearby that was in bloom. The flowers were huge. Cache found tucked away where it should be. A nice way to bring up 800 finds TNLN Thanks Gonefishen07 for placing a cache here.

Joint find at 8.15pm on December 27 with Jimmymaff while on a drive around South Gippsland hunting for caches to help Jimmymaff find his 800th cache.
*** YEAH - this is Jimmy's 800th Cache Find - this is a pretty good milestone - CONGRATULATIONS Jimmymaff ***
Thanks Gonefishen07 for setting up this cache in this small community area. It's great that this site still has the old toilet block and a few other visible signs of having been a school. The cows in the paddock below the school appeared to be having fun grazing around what is left of the old community tennis courts. It's a shame that we are loosing many rural community areas that were once the heart and soul of their districts - we've visited a few of these areas today on our travels.
As we roamed through this old school site, we discovered the magnolia tree at the back of the block which is currently flowering profusely, producing huge, dinner plate size flowers - amazingly beautiful. Thanks again Gonefished07, we've really enjoyed this Cache.

Found by POLEHAMMER shannons discovery. After lots of searching in the toilet lol we stumbled across it. TNLN TFTC
Found on a sunny yet brisk morning, on a run to reach 100. Waved at by farmer on tractor. Grabbed bug to move tfth.
Left pencil And eraser, another farmer came up on motorbike turns out he was the muggle who accidently hung onto the cache! and wanted to make sure we found it and all was good was a nice chap!!
Cache has been found and returned to it hiding spot. Thanks to Hearse068 for the detective work in locating this cache and returning it for me.
As you all know this cache has been lost for two months and as it is not in a place that is frequented by muggles, so Gonefishen07 asked me to do some major detective work and managed to find it in a local tank mans car he found it while he was helping out a local farmer and thought it had been there since the school closed down so he took it. He read the info in the cache and decided to play the game he SL T1L1 but unfortunately did not take the cache back. This cache is now back in it's original hiding spot. SL TNL1 TB
No joy here for us this morning. Although there was a likely tree and the remains of a building about 20m away, our GZ was in the middle of a pile of bricks and rubble, all surrounded by long wet grass. There were also a couple of tractor accessories that seemed to have been in use recently, but we checked them out anyway. Given the previous DNF, we didn't spend a lot of time on the rubble. We did check out the tree in some detail, but ignored the building once we determined its former purpose. Seems that this one might be a bit easier when the grass is short.
Cache seems to be missing until I can try and find out what has happened to it, it will be disabled as it is in a pretty much muggle free area.

Found the GZ for this but after pulling it all apart found nothing.
Disapointing, but maybe it was just me.
Put it all back the way I'd found it and moved on.

Inspected the remaining facilities and had an interesting chat with one of the local farmers who gave us a great deal of information about the history and people of the location. Took Gonefishing07 Dolphin and left a turtle. TFTC.
Another find for the day. Local rode past with an encouraging "You're getting close"
This one was right where the co-ords. said it should be. An easy find but thats good when the others for the day remain difficultly hidden.
A few friendly farmers here with a wave and a knowing smile, I think they know whats going on.

Nice bit of history, but there's not much left of the school for a place that only shut down 40 years ago. Nearby is a fascinating castle-type structure that has partly collapsed - you can see it from the road on the way to this cache. No idea at all what it is; must Google for it when I get home

Found with Thing no1 lucky for us the local farmer had calves in around the cache so the grass was short and we did not have to worry about snakes. SL T1L1 TFTC
We spent some time here at around 13:12, but couldn't locate the cache. The local farmer has erected an electric fence all around GZ, and we weren't prepares to risk getting zapped!

This is the neighborhood where I spent the first few years of my life, so its nice to come back. Cows have been in keeping the grass down which means you just have to watch where you put your feet! While they have rubbed a lot of the building remains around the cache is still safe. Left corkscrew TB as this site is within a vineyard. TFTC.
A nice bit of local history. A quick find as we tip toed through the long grass whilst watching for snakes.

Congrats to the flyingpigsquadron on being first to find this cache and helping Ava start her journey.
FlyingPigSquadron here - The 'Drive By' tyre marks were already there - we parked some distance away in a safe spot and walked. Thanks for the congratulations Earthbound chief & co and well done for 2TF!
there was a very very slight glimpse of a FTF when the cache was published but as we cached our way down the coast we let the though flow from our minds. as we arrived at GZ we could see that it had already been found due to the geo trail upon opening the log our thoughts were confirmed.
A lovely drive up to the Gz, I was a bit apprehensive as we were in clear view of farmer joes house, but it would appear that nobody cared. TFTH.....SL......Left 3 x GC and 1 x TB
Found on an adventure trip with Rogwat and the Walenaters. We had slim thoughts of a FTF but we had been caching since early morning so didn't get too excited. Tracks in the grass indicated someone had made this a drive by. A well concealed cache was exposed and nope, not a blank log. Well done flyingpig squadron on your FTF. But hey STF is nothing to sneeze at. Thanks Gonefished07 for the cache
FlyingPigSqadron has landed! with FTF
We were about to head out to visit our favourite indigenous plant nursery - Koorooman's, and then to have lunch in Mirboo North when this cache arrived in the email - so a detour was the order of the day with pm tea instead of lunch!
Quick find on a very quiet, slightly stormy looking day; it is such a shame the loss and dereliction of old historic sites and schools.
Took Ava to start her journey in South Gippy Cow country and left Porky Pig geocoin - dairy and pigs being very closely associated with the establishment of cream and dairy farming - milk made into cream for butter with the resultant skim milk being fed to the pigs!
