Lovely looking campsite, but a bit early for us to be stopping, so we just grabbed the cache & headed on our way. Thanks for placing this one.
Spending the morning ticking off a few p and g's north of westport..
Was expecting a bigger tree so wasnt sure if I was in the right place but spotted the camo and cache was soon in hand...

Lovely spot for a few nights. I was not able to locate the cache at my previous visit - it may have been missing at the time. TFTC!!
Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches.
Found with Fisha1288
Cheers, Cympull.

Due to the big slip we have to wait to be escorted to Karamea by convoy at 1pm so we came around here for lunch. Even getting here we had to wait for a digger clearing a slip on this road. Cache found a bit damp but save TFTC
Nice wee spot and worth the visit even in the rain. If it wasn't raining so heavily we contemplated camping here. Next time! TFTC
Day 11 of three weeks winter motorhoming in the upper half of the South Island. Meandered up from Westport to Denniston, Millerton, and on to Mokihinui Beach today, picking up a few caches along the way. This one was our last for the day, early evening after we’d settled into our nearby overnight spot. A reasonably quick find. #4142. TFTC.
New Cache and log back in place.
Rocks .... lots of them on top please, pesky wekas about and tend to like a Cache to walk off with.

Had a good look all around the GZ area, as far as we could reach. No cache to be found. So we went in for coffee and it was a great idea. Especially as it poured with rain while we were safely inside! Saw heaps of wekas, at least 10 of them. One came into the cowshed while we were sipping and checked for any crumbs!!
Had a good look around, and found what seemed to be an obvious cache location, but no luck.
Found a likely looking place but no cache hidden or evidence in the open to be found. It appears to have disappeared, darn.
Cache was laying on the ground in the open. We placed it where we thought it should go.
Sun out full pelt now, on this last day of 2019. This is a stunning place to camp! And the coffee, cakes and other goodies are great! TFTC
The cache was in the open when we arrived, but it’s now under a nice big log. There were no rocks around to cover it with. Gorgeous place here.
with Maikenkids staying at Gentle Annie Campground for the weekend and this was a quick stop on the way home. tftc
Our travels lead us to your cache, as we travelled the northern West Coast/Buller, many thanks, weenz, for bringing us here. The majority of the team is walking the Old Ghost Road and the minority of the team is travelling to the ‘pick-up’ end, both with some caching to do … We’ve had great fun so far and look forward to finding a couple more caches as we all travel on our way. TFTC.
Visited here yesterday in the rain. Came back to day to walk the maze and do some geocaching.
Found while staying about 40m away. Nice to have a cache so close! Thanks floor placing.
Quick find tucked away whilst nearby campers enjoyed the glorious weather and sights. T F T C weenz
Onto the next part of the trip, we headed around the local-ish area in the van and cached out where we could without heading too far afield. Some more good caches and some more good sights that were seen.
This weekends activities was a treat. A weekend trip across to the West Coast and a double dip at two tracks over that way. Day 1 was to be Charming Creek out of Hector and up to Seddonville with a van collecting us from the track end. Day 2 was to be a dabble at the end of the Old Ghost Road which thus far I'd only glanced longingly at, following a 'did not happen' organised trip which was switched off late into the planning.
We set off from a sulky grey Blenheim and as we headed through the Buller River area the weather steadily improved until arriving at Westport the sun blazed it's very best. Along for the trip were a few from Base, and Ricardinho who had not been out this way before.
We were onto the track just after 1230 and came off the top end around 3 hours later. A gently rising and well formed tracks with great views, historical vale and information as well as renovated relics, discarded relics, and 23 caches. We only DNFd the one which is almost certainly missing and grabbed caches from a variety of COs. Awesome trip and I would say the best short walk I've done in NZ.
We followed all this activity up with a later trip out in the van into the surrounding area and grabbed a few more for a decent haul of 34 for the day. Good for the numbers and good for the diversity and enjoyment, as well as a 10KM plus walk.

A quick find today. No muggles around us but plenty of campers in the area. It’s a great spot, wonder what it’s like in whitebait season...... TFTC weenz.
I got the invite from Capperz to go for a tramp this weekend with a few other keen souls from his work’s outdoor adventure group.
The target area was the Charming Creek walkway on day one, while on the second day we planned a taster of a few hours on the Old Ghost Road. Good news for me as I have not been up here before, so it was all new unexplored territory.
We had decent digs in Seddonville on the Saturday night as well so made use of the this and the van to get a few others in this area and nearby Mokihinui.
We’d kept an eye on the weather forecasts, but in the end it worked out pretty well. Saturday was stunning, and Charming Creek was a picture. I cannot recommend this walk enough - it is an easy gradient, has great views and history dotted along it and is well maintained.
Sunday morning dawned wet - no problem for us, but not so great for some of the others camping down the road. However, once on the OGR it had cleared up, and by the time we did our out-and-back it was quite warm. Back in the van and back to base by 5 ish.
All up a fun trip, and thanks again to the COs for bringing us here.

Thanks for the fun search! Enjoying a few nice days at Gentle Annie's..good fishing, walking and biking nearby.
In our departure day we found this one. We had wonderful days at Gentle Annies. Thanks for the cache!
#3897 We spent here 4 nights and I almost forgott to find this cache, so do it when leaving. So pleasant place! Best place we slept in NZ. Thanks for the cache, greetings from Czech Republic.
We stopped here today for coffee and the best banana muffin this morning before starting on the charming creek walkway. This is a great spot to stop and I'll give it a fav point for that. Tftc!
A lovely place, but still waiting for a $100 bill to be poked under my windscreen wipers!!!! Beautiful sunshine and no wind!!! Heaven!! Found the little cache all warm but a little damp. Thank you.
Really nice place, found it easily after checking in for the night.
Container is a bit wet inside.
Thanks!

We stay on the campground for two nights, so it was a quick find. By the way: very nice spot! TFTC.
he Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are on another 4 day exploration of the Upper West Coast.
Its Monday and we have a couple of hours before heading home. So we are out exploring with Toby again.
Dawn is just arriving and this looked as if it was going to be problematic. But no a quick snag and tag here. Cheers

Having walked the Charming Creek railway, Oparara Valleyand the Oparara Arches, Taybeedragon and I are on day four of our four-day trip to the northern West Coast. Today, mop up the leftovers and go home.
Was worrind this was going to be an agapantha hunt (as bad as a toitoi hunt just not as scratchy). But yay, it wasn't. Found just before dawn.

We stayed here since two days and today I had the idea to look for caches here nearby and what a surprise here is one. After cleaning the dish I make a stop and grab it from his hidden place. Thanks a lot for it and hope a lot oft people come and visit this wonderful campingground

As we passed on the way to Gentle Annie, the area looked quite busy, but on the way back we could park strategically and make a quick find. tftc
Actually found this cache back in October when we spent Labour weekend up north stopping here on our way to Karamea. Lovely spot. Forgot to log it at the time but did sign the log. TFTC
Excellent campsite... and a nice quick find between swimming and campfires! TFTC
