#1895First cache since April. Yes life happens like that sometimes. But today The Welder and I found ourselves on a special errand to Mornington to collect a beautiful gift. A treasure not just for now but for a generation. And so like old traditions go, moments like this should be celebrated with a cache. Although we are sadly out of practice. This has been sitting in my solved pile for many years and was an early Covid puzzle solve but its taken all these years later to find my way down this way to collect it. On eventually collecting the cache, I sat and paused admiring the view. We soaked up the rays of the sun a moment of glimmer. Thanks both for the puzzle and bringing us to this beautiful location.
Heymissjo and I were out on a rare geo-roadtrip. Indeed, a tender moment captured years ago in vibrant pastel had called to Heymissjo to come home. And so we headed to Mornington to unify the past with the present. While indulging in gorgeous conversation and hospitality with an artistic friend, the clouds shifted away to reveal a stunning sunny winters day shining over the bay. Naturally, Heymissjo and I could do with some Vitamin D and a little geo-joy, so we headed here to GZ to pick up a little something that HMJ had previously solved. I earned my keep by misjudging U turn and then endeavouring to explore every possible decoy at GZ. With a little more system, the cache was found in perfect condition where my geo-sense had first tingled. Its only our third time out caching this year, so I must say Im a little rusty at paying attention to geo-sense. Perhaps a few more smileys might rectify that! Thanks so much lostandfoundmtc, for a sweet cache in a wonderful location.
I looked at this puzzle many times, and something finally clicked. I don't think I ever found the cipher, but I got it all sorted anyway. Today, I was in the area looking for a long walk in the 38 heat. I walked up from the beach, and oh man, that path is steep!!!! At GZ, I soon found the cache and completed the signing duties. Thanks for placing this one here!
Had this one solved in preparation for our visit. Soon had the log in hand and duties completed. Thanks for the puzzle and fun lostandfoundmtcz
Visiting Melbourne from Port Macquarie.Today we ventured to the Mornington Peninsula, primarily targeting mystery and multi caches. The mostly clear and warm weather was a pleasant change from the wet and cold conditions of the last couple days. Thanks for the cache
Solved this one some time ago and today was the perfect day to get it. Thanks for the cache and the puzzle.
12:16I was going to go down to the bottom of the peninsula to be first to a new cache, but my partner in crime is meeting me at low tide tomorrow, and it can wait. So instead, I decided to go in the other direction and see if I could pick off a solved puzzle or two. There's something to be said for getting together on Zoom to nut out puzzles. It's a great way to home your skills and learn a few tricks.A thorough search in all the logical spots eventually garnered another smiley. Thanks, lostandfoundmtc, for the puzzle, and the cache.#7918

On yet another brief work trip to Melbourne and the outer burbs. Making a concerted effort to collect a few solves that have been accumulating over time through a puzzle group since lockdowns.
Have a fav point for the fun ️
This was definitely not a quick and easy find and ️ here at GC2J5Q3 GZ today. How hard can it be for a 1.5. Well I certainly made it out to be as hard as possible. Even resorted to messaging recent finders Ridiculous as it was so straight forward, I was just really overthinking it.
Thanks so much for the cache lostandfoundmtcz And of course for getting me out and about and enjoying this area too
Have you completed the Ballarat GeoTour yet? Do yourself a favour as time is running out to visit Australia’s only GeoTour. For more info visit https://www.geocaching.com/play/geotours/ballarat-victoria
And speaking of tours and other unique fun adventures - QOGM2023 - Flights of Fancy- will be held in Longreach QLD from 19-23 September.

Not sure I would have solved this without the help of a previous finder and the CO. In the end, the first section was relatively straightforward, but then I struggled. I don’t think I solved this in the way originally intended, but eventually I had what I needed after a little tweaking of some cipher text.
I dashed off yesterday and had a look at where I was convinced it was. After waiting out some muggles, I had a good look around before realising that I had not used the checker…which said no. So, I returned home and resumed my calculations. The CO pointed me in the right direction as my averaging had me out a few metres. With the green tick from the checker taking me to pretty much the same position, I headed off this morning to resume my search. I first rechecked an odd feature at GZ which I wonder whether has been used as the cache container at one time. Anyway, this time I made the find pretty quickly and gratefully added my name to this impressive log.
Thanks for the cache, lostandfoundmtc, and for your help.

It has been a long time since we have ventured over the bay to cache so with so many caches to choose from we settled with the interesting letterboxes, multis, solved puzzles and labcaches. Heading up the Mornington Peninsula after an overnight stop at Rye we enjoyed the scenery and the sunny day, not so much the wind however as well as learning some of the local history that the caches had to offer.
We out a muggle but once they left we had the area to ourselves to make the quick find.
Thanks lostandfoundmtc for the Mystery puzzle.

No luck here today. Hopefully just one of those days when I just can’t see for looking
Nothing to shiver about today as it was one of those 10/10 days. A bit like this cache. A quick find on the way south. Glad to get this off the radar after all these years.
Found out and about on the 2023 trip for the Rutherglen Mega. Thanks to lostandfoundmtcz and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]
I have been Geocaching for the last year as part of team Dromaniax. We have enjoyed the Geocaching caching around a lot of Victoria in that time. From our first trip up to the Murray River, the next trip to Lake Eildon and the area around Buxton, an epic trip to the Little Desert to attack the This is SA series, then a great trip with our father to the High Country in Victoria, a trip to the Mornington Peninsula and a trip to the Albury-Hume Reservoir area.
I finally decided to set up my own account and am claiming all the caches I have found as part of Dromaniax.
Thank you for this Mystery cache lostandfoundmc.

Having solved this puzzle during covid lockdown, today was my chance to visit and locate the cache.
Although the forecast had been for showers today, a group of cachers gathered and did the Red Hills Express series earlier and, with the sun still shining, I called by to sign this log.
Upon arrival, there were two ladies sitting on the seat, enjoying a cuppa and the view. Engaging them in conversation, they both knew about geocaching, so we had a chat as I started my hunt. Found quickly, everything was in good order.
Thank you lostandfoundmtc. I don't get down this way very often, and this was a pleasant experience.

Lovely day out today! Suns out, muggles out! Quick easy find, same can’t be said for the puzzle, it took some persistence , but we got there! TFTC
Mr Dromaniax's and his muggle brother were off for a couple of days of camping and geocaching on the Mornington Peninsula. The tent was set up and the camp bed made so we could go have dinner and do several hours of caching in the dark.
We have a list of caches that we are wanting to find and will happily pick up some others on the way.
We have had this one solved for a while, but we don't venture across the bay all that often, so it has been waiting for a night like tonight for us to find it.
We made our way to GZ and made a nice quick find. The cache is in reasonable condition. Thank you for this Puzzle cache lostandfoundmtc.

Shiver me today on a cold breezy winters day. And Shiver Me Timbers predictably took a while to warm to. Entertaining and definitely not a solo sailor here but since we’re pirates brainiacs. Brilliant and great size cache. In Melbs for the week and accompanying me mum to a funeral in Dromana so happy she was in for a nautical detour heading home. TFTC and the fun!

Found on a caching run down the Mornington Peninsula. Last cache for the day. Another puzzle that was solved not long ago. I found a cache at GZ and signed the log, but it had me rather confused. The container was much larger than I expected and the log was brand new, I hope it was the correct container and not one someone else had decided to hide in that area. TFTC
dalerious and I decided that we just haven't done enough caching this month so we decided to make the most of another long weekend, this time caching Melbourne. Easter week we headed up to Canberra and signed a bag load of challenge caches; same happened in Yass. Noice, right .
Well this week we were chasing favourite points and counties.........
What a plethora of sea creatures me hearties; more here than you can poke a trident at.
A fabulous puzzle that kept us amused during one of those lockdowns. Remember them? We were very happy to finally visit gz, and what a view.
Thank you lostandfoundmtc for a very enjoyable puzzle and placing a cache in a lovely part of the world.

OK. That's enough of the pirate talk. [xx(]
Found and signed with catnap777 on our ANZAC Day weekend trip down to Melbourne and beyond chasing caches languishing on our wish lists.
This puzzle we solved together some time ago and we feel we earned every bit of its challenging D4 rating, so on our way down to pick up some highly favourited caches along the coast, we made sure to stop by and claim this treasure as well.
TFTC lostandfoundmtc. A great puzzle and a great location to bring us to. [^] A cache with a view.

With the great resignation currently in place my workplace gave anyone who had been working there for 5 years or more (I just snuck in) a couple of extra paid days off this financial year and this week was pretty quiet so I took today off and headed down this way to look for a few puzzles I had on my solved list and to do whatever else that I freestyled past.
This was solved with the help of a puzzle groups hints and today a nice GZ and the find was at least nice and easy.
Thanks lostandfoundmtcz for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Needed a lot of help with the puzzle sources group to sort this one out but now I get to put a smiley here. Talk about good timing couple was sitting here and I thought I might have to pretend to do something because I approached they moved on. Not like the previous finders I stepped through the fence to make the retrieval thanks for the cash took time to really enjoy the scenery here what a magic place this is
We were out for a drive around the Peninsula today targeting a few small holes largely encompassing recent publications and puzzles solved over past lockdowns.
This was a puzzle that, for someone who grew up spending far too much time messing around with transitions, backgrounds and other visual features on PowerPoints instead of actually researching facts about dragonflies or whatever it was that he had to do in Grade 2, had a fairly clear first step.
All it'd need was some well-placed keywords, potentially in the right sources, and all would be revealed soon enough.
Unfortunately, whenever I'd spent some time looking into this, I'd failed to make any progress and was left with little more information than when I started.
Perhaps things have changed since 2010, but there are simply so many options out there that sifting through them all felt like an impossible challenge.
That was until March earlier in the year where I picked this puzzle up once again and, after a few searches, I was ecstatic to have located some very similar symbols!
From there, it was just a matter of transcription and calculation and the checker said yes!
Now finding ourselves in the general area of the cache, we parked nice and close to gz alongside some other people who thankfully chose to take the path in the opposite direction to the cache!
A quick hop over the fence and a lap around was required before I finally laid my eyes on the prize!
The logbook was signed and everything returned to sit in its hiding spot before we headed off to continue the day's adventures.

Wow. What a challenge. I keep looking at these puzzle caches and just keep trying different things. Learnt some more from this one.
Same as previous posts. The geochecker didn’t confirm but I came to what I thought might be GZ, used some geo logic and there it was. Thanks for the experience. TFTC

After much time trying to decipher this, I finally picked it off this morning. I didnt get a hit on the geochecker, but decided to head there anyway. Cache is in great condition. Now a new puzzle that I have learned to solve!
I solved the puzzle a while back.. when I first saw it I recognised what had to be done but was surprised that it kept going, and going .. now what to do? My solution wasn’t helpful, then I had an aha moment and came up with plausible coords but the checker didn’t agree.. what to do but go down there and check. When I arrived at GZ, it looked promising but had to wait out a couple of muggles .. still it was worth the wait and the cache was soon uncovered. thanks lostandfoundmtc for the challenging puzzle and for placing and maintaining the cache. All in good condition.
This was one of those puzzles that I was able to make so far and kept revisiting every few months for over 2 years. I had turned the puzzle into a lovely piece of artwork.
I was talking to Deepsky who was also working on this puzzle, when something he said got me thinking down another pathway. However I was only on my phone on the way to sport with Son2 driving. Trying to do the whole conversion and calculation in my head was blowing my mind. However I was able to determine that my first assumption was close but not correct. Then as we got to our destination I hit on the correct solution.
The next morning I solved the whole solution but I wasn't able to rush out to collect it. Now a week later, Deepsky and myself aimed to met and collect it together. But with him running late and me needing to get to my next appointment, I started the search alone. Quickly checked 2 places, then took a moment to look around. I then saw the obvious place and found the cache in this wonderful place.
Thanks for the cache Lost and Found MTC

When I first looked at this puzzle, my thoughts were, what are these ridiculous symbols anyway? Any attempt I made to make any headway with it, continuously resulted in my view that the puzzle was ridiculous. How that changed. I may not have gotten anywhere if it weren’t for Hunter showing me his working of the very first step. I then began what needed to be done and thought I'd made a mistake somewhere, so I put it aside for a couple of days. Picking it up again a little clearer minded, no mistake was made, and it all came together. Then the final part took up to a week and turned out to be my favourite part of the process and I developed an appreciation for the process of solving it. You always learn something.
I should’ve actually logged a couple of DNF’s prior to this as I did one search through sheer brute force with a muggle mate and another with the co-ords but had to leave as I was strapped for time and there were muggles. Was hoping to meet up with Hunter for the search a little later but couldn’t get there in time, which left me finding the cache rather quickly on my own, where I was not expecting it to be. A really gorgeous spot. Thanks to the CO for the pointers some years back with the puzzle. Happy to finally log this.

Now that the weather has cooled down (at least for a few days) I am back to take decently long walks. I've neglected undertaking the Bay Trail series for a long, long time assuming that it simply takes too long to get too from the southeastern suburbs.
After paying attention to the distance and travel times I realise that was truly an erroneous assumption. In a smooth drive taking less than an hour I was at the end of the first section of the trail. That's a far, far better use of travel time than trying to get from the southern suburbs out the other end of the city and into the northern outskirts or even out Eltham way. I doubt I need to mention the difference in traffic flows. Anyone traveling those routes will understand.
Of course these logs shouldn't be taken up with the travel experience or at least not wholly so. I ought to mention the solving of the puzzle and the absolute corker of a spot at GZ. Really, this part of the world is blessed with both the resources and people to turn what would've been difficult to negotiate coastal scrub into something people of all mobility levels can enjoy. Thanks for bringing me here.

MontsII headed out on this wet day to find a cache for our streak when on the way to a Melbourne Cup celebration. He headed to this pre solved puzzle, and said the views were great, even in thus stormy day. Thanks for a great cache lostandfoundmtcz
It seems like it is becoming a yearly tradition when ZQX will rock into town and together we clear up some of our solved puzzle backlog. Earlier in the week ZQX had suggested the Vector series...it is a series that I have looked at on and off for the past few years...after completing the series we started looking around for more solved puzzles and a few letterbox caches.
I had solved this puzzle a while ago and as usual hadn't gotten around to collecting it. At the GZ I must have searched the obvious spot 3 times until the 4th time when I made the find. TNLN. TFTC.

Aarrr. Those squiggly characters be scurvy dogs. Toss 'em overboard and may they rot in Davy Jones locker. Aarrr.
When I first saw this puzzle I had two thoughts about what the main trick might be. It turned out that one of those notions was correct. Happy days!
Thanks for the puzzle and cache!

After a lovely day with the grandchildren and then a coffee on the beach at Mt Martha, we were heading home and we noticed that we had the final co-ords for this cache and that it was in a nice spot, so we stopped and in the very first spot that we looked in - we found the cache [^]

Found by Mary & David at 1422. A FP for a wonderful puzzle and location. We'd planned to come to Mt Martha today to visit our son and his family who were holidaying here. Looked at nearby caches and noticed this one. David soon saw a pattern and had the decoding done last night. Initially not sure what to do next, but remembered the context and soon had a final set of coordinates that satisfied the checker. Even better, GZ was only a little over a kilometre from our son's holiday house. Tried a couple of places at GZ before finding the cache. Our thanks to lostandfoundmtcz.
Suscoe was out and about today in the very good company of Phetlern on the Mornington Peninsular.
It was a cool day with a strong wind blowing for most of the day.
We had a delightful day wandering the roads of this area finding a range of caches in varying locations.
Thanks to lostandfoundmtc for this hide.

*Our second day on the Peninsula, following a course charted by Cap'n Suscoe. The weather was not particularly favourable, none the less we found a variety of valuable treasure, hidden in some very devious guises.*
An appropriate cache during the Lost treasure of Mary Hyde activities!
Thanks lostandfoundmtcz for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

After work I met up with Bendsinister to pick up a couple of caches in the area whilst having a crack at the James hunt mystery cache that is in Mornington, This was in a cluster of caches that I had to clear out and Bendsinister was only missing one of the three so we decieded to go out and clear them out . All of the caches here were easy and we had no trouble finding and of the caches in here. Thanks for the cache and the late night adventure to grab a couple of finds

I said I'd return when there was evidence of this being findable. So I did. It was indeed in a not-so-surprising location after all. Shame GPS had me directing much of my attention elsewhere last time around. GZ was also completely deserted this evening, which can only have helped. Anyway, it was amusing puzzle. I'm still yet to look at many mysteries on the peninsula but I distinctly recall being bewildered by this one in the first weeks after I signed up. Way back in the "why are some of these icons blue anyway?" stage. In the end I solved it backwards, after making a general suggestion to buhfuhguh as to how the final coordinates might be resolved given a partial solution. It wasn't until then that I went back and interpreted the material on the cache page myself. It sounds like there may have been a more efficient way than the generic way I did it. No matter. It's nice to have it solved and found. Thanks lostandfoundmtcz!
This one had been on the radar for a looooong time but I struggled to make any sense of it.
Finally the penny dropped, co-ords were revealed, the green light received and I was off to GZ to make a long awaited find
That was a week ago, after a long search that produced nothing, disappointedly I came to the same conclusion as the other recent searchers that this one had gone AWOL
Not wanting to let this one go (I hate it when mystery caches go missing), I messaged the last finder for some help. TigerDaveC revisited GZ and confirmed the cache was still in play
Today I made it back to the area to seek out the cache, using the help provided, whilst enjoying an early morning walk
And you guessed it 'the cache was in the very spot that I'm sure I had previously searched'. How many times have we seen that comment logged!
Log signed, the cache is in good condition, ready for the next finder
Many thanx to TigerDaveC for his help in revisiting the site and confirming the cache was still in play
A fav point added. This is one cache I shall remember for a loooong time!

Too good for me too, I'm afraid. I was eventually interrupted but did manage a fairly thorough poke around for a few minutes before that. I shall return when evidence of findability arises. Thanks lostandfoundmtcz!
No cigar here. Wandered around like a n00b. I will return.

Found it Once again with a little help from the Chief with the puzzle we got the green light. On our second look around Gz it was found. Great Puzzle and nice spot. Tftc
Yay ! Finally. Thanks for a most enjoyable challenge L&Fmtcz. Saw this one a long while ago. Several attempts made, but kept getting stumped by the symbols. Eventually became my Christmas challenge & soon had not one, but multiple solutions Sadly, none were correct. Thus began the number crunching - how devious is this Cachemeister ??
In hindsight, made it much more difficult than necessary - although never actually got the green tick ! KISS !! Coords put me close enough to GZ, but still don't know how I missed it 1st time around.
Well, happy memories of Xmas 15 & delighted to make the find this arvo.
Again, TF a most entertaining & absorbing puzzle.

Firstly, apologies for the late logging.
Found this with Bogonghazy on a week's holiday on the Mornington Peninsula.
A great spot for a cache after a day at the craft market.
My thanks for the cache and for bringing us here.

Today 88andy88 and I decided to go for a pickup run along the peninsula.
On our list was this very unloved (more than 16 mths!) cache. Really enjoyed solving this nice puzzle! A fav point from me. Cheers!

Well this was on my hitlist to find for some unloved for the 50yr unloved cache and today with help from OZHockeyChick we found this and logged the unloved time.
#5476 This was a bit of fun to solve which took a bit to nut out a set of co-ords that looked anything like decent on google maps. Once that was sorted it was a matter of heading out to find the cache proper. We had had an early start to the day and it was now heading toward midnight but as this cache was en route to our accommodation it was too good to pass up this evening. Our thanks to lostandfoundmtcz for the puzzle and cache - nice to find even if by moonlight. Cheers [^]
Solved this puzzle a while ago but haven't had the chance to get it. We were on a quick run to Melb and in the same area so the chance was now
I remember the puzzle because at first I didn't know what to do. I picked it up...put it down...picked it up.....put it down.
After starting to work these puzzles out I picked this one up again and I knew what I needed to. Still wasn't what you call easy though.
Finally at GZ the cache was located and our names are nicely nestled in the log book, thanks for the fun 'lostandfoundmtcz'

Heading to Dromana for lunch with SuperPop we decided to make the most of the unusually sunny weather and grab a few caches along the way. We had sorted this one out not long after the cache was published but just never seemed to have the chance to stop and pick up the cache. Today we had the area to ourselves and not long after arriving at gz we soon had the cache in hand. As we signed the log we admired the views before replacing the cache.
Thanks lostandfounmtc for the cache.

Found with Crazy! Nat Girl on a day out caching and beaching, took a bit of working out this one, some more great views along the coast. Thanks for the cache.
Last find for the day on a caching mission with BorisB&Natasha. Can't take any credit for the solving of the puzzle as they'd stay up till 1am last night working this one out. Nice views from GZ. TFTC
Boris & I decided to do a couple of puzzles last night & it was 1 am before we knew it. Finished off the last part of the puzzle this morning & picked this one up with Pea bear on our way home from caching up the line. Thank you lostandfoundmtc for a very entertaining cache.
Found while out with rebel acts and had a great view along the coAst he got into trouble for finding it before me ??

Out on a night caching run with Danozz in the Eastern Melbourne area and down as far as The Briars in Mt Martha on the Mornington Peninsula. The night was a puzzle clean up night, I had heaps solved, and don't know how many opportunities I will get to grab the finals, so tonight was the night. 30 caches found including 16 puzzles and several multis.... A top night of caching.
Another one solved over 12 months ago, and the details of that are a bit blurry now. Be that as it may, I had the coords and was finally able to grab the final today. TFTC and the puzzle. I remember it took me some time to work out the symbols.

Black pulled the car up and half a minute later the cache was within sight, it was easy to find although a little bit tough to get a grip on and pull out. The puzzle looks a bit tough at first glance, however Black had it all figured out and it was all too easy on my behalf.
Well it took us over 12months to find what the chicken skatching were, and then it only took some 45minutes of mind numbing calculations to come up with a few probablities. Then the penny dropped. We had a good co-ord and with the assistance of Google Maps confimed it as a probable, but the checker still kept telling us it was wrong. So today we drove to the new masters store in morning ton to check it out, and then just on dusk made the find after about 4 minutes of searching. Thanks lostandfoundmtc. TFTH...SL...TNLN
When I first looked at these symbols, I didn't recognise them and couldn't find any reference to them. The puzzle was set aside in the unsolved mysteries folder to start gathering a little dust. Then after reading about a particular day I happened across what I needed, and after that the numbers started dropping out. It is always so exciting to see the solution start appearing before your eyes. Moved on with the puzzle and on the third try got the green light from the checker. Visited GZ today and was very impressed with the location. Thanks lostandfoundmtc for the interesting puzzle and the cache.
YES!!!! Finished this puzzle about 9 months ago and finally on my fourth search of the same place I found it. So happy that I can delete this taunting waypoint off of my GPS!
Great puzzle and excellent location. TFTC lostandfoundmtc!

After finally solving all of the Above the Commanding Officer series I decided that I’d go on a mini Puzzle caching run down to the Mornington Peninsular. The girlfriend was out with the girls and this allowed me enough time to grab a few of those puzzles I’d had solved months ago. I was due back at 11 pm so immediately after work I changed out of the business attire and into the caching gear and I was off. I probably spent most of the time in the car driving, but it was a good night, as I was finally completing the puzzles that had just been sitting in the GPSr ready to be picked up. I headed south and I was soon starting the run with Toughest Nut. Then onto this one, where the cache was found easily. It's nice to tick this one off after solving it more than nine months ago. Thanks lostandfoundmtc

Found it after a lot of searching with cronix38. What a great cache!!!! Had a great time doing the puzzle and searching for it. The hardest cache I've done. Took the tiger geocoin. TB wasn't there.

Picked this one up today as a filler activity with a housefull of kids.
I solved this one not long after it came out but I cant ge the gochecker to go
(Ive never got it to go - must be somthing to do with the internet blocker I have on this beast, cos of the kids that stay with me)
So ive been reluctant to try my estimated GZ without a green smile.
Today, however, showing some kids whats its all about, I was forced to admit the ? icon less than 100m from my house is not yet solved!
Off we plod and its right where I calculated - "x" marks the spot as it were.
TFTC
Took nothing - left whatever I could fnd in the gokombi

Difficult cache. It is not close to where the coordinates will suggest. Is there a hint in the name of this cache? I couldn't figure it out. Reading the logs plus pure desperation and luck found it. No pen.
Found finally after several search efforts and revisiting how to get coordinates. A sticky process getting GZ coordinates and really helped by comments of others and local knowledge combined to narrow the search area. View sure is great...No pen so have to go back to log the visit. Found in company with Matthew. Graham T
I solved the first part of this one fairly quickly. The second part took a bit longer and in fact by chance I got some help with it. At GZ today I was admiring the view and made the find, thanks lostandfoundmtc.
Passed by here with my two boys on the way to a mates place for a swim. I knew what to do, it just took a while to figure out exactly how it was to be done. Once that was done it wasn't long before GZ coords were worked out. Found quickly, signed the log and returned before some muggles came to settle in around GZ. Thanks for the hide.
Solved it, but didn't find it. Found the blue tongue lizard, but not the cache. The area is a bit of a mess. Will try another day without the kids, not a very kid friendly area if you need to spend time searching.
Finally got to GZ to log this cache as I had solved the puzzle some time back ( one fo the green smillys is mine)
great cache and fantastic GZ

We also had solved this cache but couldn't get the geochecker to agree but had confirmation that we must have the right co-ords with another cacher giving us a cross checking method. Down here on holidays with friends and always wanting to go to the beach first, we had had some fun on the beach earlier and collected some really pretty rocks and then came to this area. This was where the fun started..... all eyes were searching when all of a sudden our friends daughter yelled "Get, Get, A SNAKE!!" The 3 who were nearby ran for their lives dropping poking sticks etc ...... All back at a safe distance we could all see the object which really did look like a snake but thankfully turned out to be a huge LIZARD, however it made us mindful of the time of the year even if it was a cool day! After this drama the cache was soon in hand no-where near the lizard and the log signed. TNLN

Had this one solved some time ago but never for the checker to work. Today being in the area we decided to spin past and grab it. Took some time to search. I spread the search out more while Hazey1 focused close to GZ. Finally Hazey1 found the cache. I did not know the key to the puzzle and solved it the old fashioned way, codebook 101. Thanks for a fun puzzle. Personally would call it a difficulty 2.5 or 3.
Joint find with Covert; had the co-ords figured out, but the checker didnt agree; a search at Gz, and a little bit of a spread out; to find the cache; found in the first area searched. Nice easy puzzle; TFTC.
I'd have to say right place at the right time
RogWat and Zippi_Russ were the brains behind this find.
They couldn't get the checker to agree, but all coords pointed here, so we arrived here blindly, and searched half-heartedly for Rog's 500th.
Almost about to give up and the cache was found! YIPPEE!
Thanks lostandfoundmtc for this cache.

found it via the oakydog method. you can have this one oakydog its a little too far from my home to get.
if i had used this method last night when i had the coords it would have been fine and i would have had you again.
i took the coords of gz while i was there and tried them in the checker but still to no avail must be very accurate checker.
nice cache for my 500th too

now time to try my puzzle...

Not First to solve but *FTF* @ 10.45am Find #435
When I first looked @ this cache, I thought too hard [xx(] and put it on the back burner. Then the next day showed it to the brains & beauty behind Team Oaky and within 5 minutes she had the first part solved (Yes I know she is the full package) anyhow I was left with the second part, number crunching, great! data entry my favourite part of geocaching
Soon I had a few ideas how to achieve GZ, but after a night of punching numbers into Geochecker with no joy, I emailed the owner with what I had so far and asked if he could check the checker. Confirmation came back that I was on the right track but there had been a slight mistake at his end, now with this new information I had a more likely GZ but damm Geochecker was still saying no.
After a restless night sleep I awoke to find a cacher had solved it, another email this time to Bushfire confirmed he worked it out using a similar method but different program to that I was using.
I am not sure if this was the way the owner had intended the puzzle to be solved as I still couldn’t get the checker to say yes.
So it was time to go have a look at the very likely location of GZ in the day light and what do you know a cache was found with a blank log and best of all a BC

There was an error in the original version of the puzzle. Thanks Oakydog for pointing it out. This has been corrected so all should be right to go from here on.
Well that is very pleasing to see the green Success! Go get it pop upon the screen. I had the puzzle solved early last night but could not get any satisfaction from the face book checker which I think there are better out there as the security words are very hard to read.
Now all I have to do is jump in the chopper and dash across the bay and beat all the locals.
Thanks for all the lost sleep but I did enjoy trying.
