time to retire this one as there have been problems and I don't wish to take cacher out of their way
Monday mayhem for those of us lucky enough not to have to work Perfect weather for a ramble through the bush and pub lunch. Happy to ride shotgun today and do the navigation duties.
An easy cache find here and then we started the grind up the track. This Reserve has been on my radar for a couple of years and not sure why it took so long to get out here.
I had horses in Canberra including a black rig that was easily startled by, well, just about anything, and also had the obligatory fear of people riding bicycles. Wonder what a human on a bike looks like from the horse's perspective? Scary.
TFTC bristracker! Hope you are well

Out collecting a few caches I had kept reserved for possible MTB fun. Seems it has taken a few years and still no MTB so given my CB for the day picked the location I had no choice but to follow.
Returning from the Event at Stinson Park, arrived and parked the car, and walked over toGZ , where cache was found. TFTC Bristracker.
Returning from the event at Stinson Park this morning and we decided to collect a few caches that are not on the main roads back to Brisbane. A fairly quick find. Thanks bristracker.
When we found this cache the lid was off and some of the contents on the ground, possibly muggled a little. We picked it all up and returned with everything as it should. TFTC, signed and returned.
On our way to the rainforest skywalk in tamborine we had a short stop to find a couple af caches here. Had a nice sort walk with a lot of flies around us. One cache we didn't attempt, one we couldn't open so we took a photo of it...
After parking nearby we headed along the trail until we reached GZ. It did not take Mr LHE Duo long to make this find. Added our name to the log and replaced the cache. TFTC
This log is wet and will need to be replaced. I was still able to write on log and it might be okay once dry. TFTF
After Happy Trail #1 its time to grab #2. While I parked the GeoFalcon Mrs RoddyC headed across the road and up the track. While I tended to turning around the GeoFalcon, and being ready to move on, Team Benders and Mrs RoddyC were on their way back after Mrs RoddyC's quick find. Found at 3.00pm on 4th September 2015. TFTC.
Out with my friends RoddyC. to find a few caches in this area.
There has been a bit of a burn off in here.
Wandered in to GZ and the cache was in the first place Mrs RoddyC looked.
It was in good condition.
Signed the log and returned the cache to hide.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks bristracker All good with this cache

Smilie #2261
Having a few hours to spare before my granddaughter's birthday celebrations (after school) I thought I'd head over here & try to clock up a few smilies.
I missed the short black stump but spotted the cache from the trail.
A quick find.
TNLNSL & replaced a little less obviously to avoid muggle attention.

Caching with malrob66. Quick find. Cardboard backing of logbook in a sorry state.TFTC.
Tftc. Recovered and returned on a drive up to mt tambourine. Left magic card.
An easy find at the beginning of an enjoyable walk. Had the place to myself on a school afternoon. The cache was visible some distance away due to its blue lid, I replaced it with the bottom showing which made for better camo. Left a bouncy ball in keeping with the orange theme. TFTC 8D
Since I was nearby picking up a few other cache I thought I would just pop around the corner and grab this one.
I just managed to squeeze the car off the road and wandered into the trail, a quick poke around and soon had the cache in hand.

This was out final cache for the day before heading back to suburbia. We got this one on our way home... pulled the car over, jumped out and within minutes had the log book signed. The log book is quite wet by the way. TFTC.
Unfortunately there were no happy horses to have to avoid as I strolled up the path. I do love the beautiful creatures. When I arrived at GZ I had a bit more luck finding this cache than the last happy trail, geosense is finally starting to kick in. And oh dear, the log book is a bit of a mess, however I was still able to peel open the pages and leave my mark. Sorry I didn't have anything to replace it with today.
Thanks for the cache bristracker

A quick find. Container and log very wet. Sorry, but had nothing to dry cache out with. Log could do with being in a ziplock baggie.
A beautiful clear, sunny Sunday.
So I decided to go caching and 'clear' an area.
Loaded the GPSr with the appropriate caches and away for a relaxed day driving with the occasional small hike thrown in for good measure.
A quick find here. A little water inside but everything OK.
Thanks for the cache.

Cache find #959. Continuing on in the area to gather some smiley faces for our geomap. TFTC.
Another country run with the kids, and some pretty good caches done on the day. A really good walk on a particular puzzle cache in the area too. Thanks to all cache owners for hiding and maintaining their caches.

After completing the others in this park, we went for a short drive to grab this one. TFTC.

I had been to this one SO long ago, and didn't find it because it was muggled, that I don't remember when, but today I had the opportunity to put another smiley on the map.
GZ was very obvious and nicely off the main tracks of muggle activity.
It felt really good to find the prize and sign the log and make this area smiley populated.
Thanks Bristracker TFTC SL

On our way home from camping at Goomburra on the main range and have cached all the way so far. Nice find here. Cache extremely mouldy and may require some maintenance. Thanks for the cache bristracker
On our way home picked this one up a short distance in from the gate. Found the log to be very wet was able to sign with our space pen but will need drying out. TFTC...
Parked on the edge of the road and headed for the stump. Everything was a bit wet today which made for a very slippery approach. Found the stump then the log and the cache. Signed the log, made a swap then replaced.
Someones pride and joy all burnt out up the track a little bit.
Thanx again bristracker

Quick find... Drive here after doing the four at the other end of plunket as light was going to beat me. TFTC!
We parked the car and headed into the bush. i spotted the stump as the Captain of Terror was reading me the hint and we headed past it to find the cache location. The Captain grabbed the cache and signed our names and then we were off to find the next one. Thanks for the cache bristracker.
Net88 and I found ourselves out this way today and after a stroll through the nearby bush, headed around the corner to grab this happy chappy. The parking was fine, so after a read through the cache page, headed off the short distance to GZ. Along the way I spotted the sticker on the stump and a little further past, a cheeky looking pile of sticks. Added our names to the log and rehid as found. I've never been to this patch of bush before today and enjoyed my time here grabbing the caches. TFTC bristracker
Have checked on this one and it appears to be gone. Could have been an animal. This time i've used a plastic container with press on lid so it should stay waterproof and i've wedged it between two arms of a log. Also has a trackable.
Will disable this one following recent DNFs until I am able to check and replace.
The kids were busy with a school holiday programme all day up this way so Geo Mum & I were free to enjoy our favourite game (Well you know what I mean).
I had worked out a good run on the Beenleigh to Tamborine Rd, not the big numbers like we read about in the logs but just enough for us and achieveable in the time we had, so we were off.
We picked the wrong day to leave our trackables at home with all the good sized containers on offer, but lifes like that.
We were having an all found day today so far but unfortunately it was about to be broken.
I searched every inch of GZ over and over, under, in and around but I came up blank.
I don't think I was cache blind on this one because GZ was so obvious.
Sorry bristracker for the bad news

Quick find here after overshooting the track in [B)]. I’ve discovered it’s a lot more peaceful to mute “Karen”, but I also find destinations sneaking up on me . Signed the log, TN/LN
A quick stop on our way home from the 4 nearby caches. Took the TB to move along. Left a ball. TFTC
Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga2 at 1:57pm. It was a short walk from the car to GZ to find this cache. In: TB TFTC
I was making happy trails today
This was a pleasant place to seek a cache
I limped off along the trail for a while enjoying the scenery and not quite peace and quiet.
Must be a quarry nearby judging by the noise wafting through the trees.
There was evidence of a horse having been ridden along the trail recently.
The trailbikes had not yet erased the horseshoe prints
Another trail led off into the bush too.
A geotrail [:o]
So I followed it to GZ and soon had me a cache in paw.
A big thanks for the cache here bristracker.
I dropped off the [maroon]"Have a beer with the HawMorFords!"[/maroon] TB to celebrate

I had a few hours spare so I thought I might head up this way and knock over a few caches.
Silly me! I forgot to bring my horse (but after reading the sign of "do's" and "don't" for the horse riders I decided it was probably for the best) so had to walk to the cache..... it wasn't that far..... I don't really have a horse.
Thanks for the cache Bristracker.
While signing the log one of those pesky cache dwelling frogs hopped on in.

Grabbed just before the heavens opened today. Great spot BT. There are some excellent caches like this in the area. We did some of them last year so it was good to have an excuse to come back and do these newish ones. TFTC
Last cache of the day. Fortunately it wasn't too hot to tackle these bushland caches. This is such a nice area it's a real shame that a few thoughtless idiots use it as a rubbish tip. Cache is nice and tidy though. Left TB. TFTC.
Afternoon out with the family - too nice a day to stay home. Found without any problems. Thanks for the cache.
A nice quick find on a great morning to be out on the trails.
Cheers bristracker.
Cheers bristracker.
Second find on way home from work today
Geo-grandson wanted to find just 1 more cache before he flies back to SA tomorrow morning...
maaged to squeeze geo-mobile off road to park adjacent to trail head..
Short walk up the track and "Ah thats a likely spot"
TNLNSL
Thansk bristracker for the cache

Found cache safely tucked away.
Took geocoin, dropped off ball.
Thanks Bristracker for the interesting spot.

This was the next on my radar. After a few aborted attempts at parking I got it sorted. Made my way toward GZ and found it after a bit of a hunt - the cache is in excellent condition. Dropped in a trackable for good measure. Some nice bush out this way. TFTC bristracker
Thanks for the cache nice and easy.

I took a night detour through the area and picked up a few caches along the way.
I looked in the same spot 3 times before I saw the cache. TFTH.

Yaawwwnnn! Had to get up so early to grab a FTF on this one at 4:55am this morning. Saw this published last night after we got home from a movie. Couldn't get anyone to come with me last night so got up early. Isn't it great to know that there are so many trails around for keen bush walkers, horse riders, and others (like Geocachers) to benefit from in and around the Gold Coast. Checked where I thought the cache might be and disturbed a brown frog from his sleep. Not a toad thank goodness. Thanks for the new cache Bristracker!!!
Took: nothing
