Find - #53Out for a caching day in Middle Dural and Kenthurst with geodad. First find of the day. Ive this one on my radar for quite some time now but have never made the trip due to the lack of proximity from any other caches, or routes I take often, but decided to try to find today. Got to WP1 with no struggles and made the find of the coordinates very quickly. Made our way down to GZ and had some GPS difficulties which made our search slightly more confusing, but not for long.Loved this cache container! Definitely worthy of an FP the next time I have one. Signed log and returned. TFTC. [found] @ 9:47am
Have been wanting to do this one for a while and with nice weather today decided to give it a go. Was a nice walk from WP1 to WP2. TFTC was something different, gets a favourite from me.
Had eyed this one off for a while, managed to get out today to visitFirst WP took longer to find than I would like to admitOnce we had coordinates after a short walk found the cacheDefinitely a different camo! TFTC fav point from me
I cant wait for the day where all my kids can use a camo like this nice little walk for our family today and we enjoyed the quiet surrounds.
Fairly quickly located what was needed at WP1 then made the walk down to GZ and very quickly located the awesome cache. TFTC
Awesome little multi to start the day this morning. Discovered wp1 pretty quickly then off to gz. Awesome container and a fave from me. Heard many different noises along the way tftc Calypso
Once again, Calypso you never fail to diasapoint. Interesting Camo. Found what we were looking for at WP1 then off for collection. Fav point from us TFTM
Well this is a rare occurrence where Mr Bloopy went caching on his own today, with a specific task endorsed by the whole of Team Bloopy. The background being that since moving Team Bloopy to Tasmania we have been working on the YCDIT caching series which includes this challenge: https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC7ZV9Y
It turns out to be eligible to log this YCDIT cache you need to have logged a multi cache that is a large in size. As at the time of writing this log there are no large multis in Tasmania.
While Mr Bloopy was interstate on non CRB the Bloopy Team thought it might be a good opportunity to grab one to help finish up the series back in Tassie.
Ahh, what Team Bloopy does for caching.....
Sending photos back to the team after locating WP1, the rest of Team Bloopy cheered Mr Bloopy on to find the final location.
Mental note - next time remember to bring a GPS.
Great first WP. To those looking for help all I will say is that you do not need to get stung by those thorns!
Great cache and thanks to Calypso62 for the effort you have put into this one. Brilliant.

Needed all my muscles to get to the log for this one. Absolutely amazing and ingenious hide. Loved both the hints. Felt very satisfied after finding this in a surprisingly picturesque little spot. Many thanks for the fun Calypso62. And yes, I did make it back up the track OK!!!
Haha, this was great fun uncovering the starve but thematically correct container. Was heavy and gave us a workout. Now we know what cookin, the logbook! TFTC Fav
Also found these wallaby footprints on the way back. Must be lots of them here.
Headed to the WP, very nice hide. Got to GZ (was definitely a little trek but not far) and spent some time looking for this cache....then [@JoshoForShort](http://coord.info/PRA1EEC) spotted the cache and we were both amazed! This was GREAT!
TFTC calypso62!
TFTC calypso62!
One of the Calypso multi’s we planned to do today.
Coords quickly acquired from wp1 (nice hint haha). Walked down to GZ (Corolla definitely wouldn’t have made the journey).
Fantastic container! Was hilarious to think/picture the CO placing it back in the day.

First geocache we have found in a very long time. Decided to drive the hour out to this area for a day out due to the many highly rated caches here. So far not disappointed. Actually like WP1 better than WP2 purely because of the hint. Gave us a laugh once we found it. Thanks for the creativity and effort gone into placing this cache. Looking forward to finding more.
Now that the NSW Government is beginning to ease lockdown restrictions, it’s time to bring my caches back into play.
Just a reminder, a fundamental rule of geocaching is that, in order to be able to log a cache find online, you must retrieve the cache container and sign the physical log located in that container. Failure to comply may result in your online log being removed.
I know the Covid virus is still about so please take precautions to keep yourself and those around you from harm by doing things such as wearing gloves to handle geocaches as well as using hand sanitiser regularly.
Keep safe everyone and enjoy your geocaching activities.
Cheers,
Calypso62

The Covid situation in Greater Sydney is still critical. As a result, this cache remains disabled for the time being. I'm monitoring the situation and will bring the cache back online when appropriate to do so.
To help stop the spread of Covid-19, the NSW Government has ordered everybody to stay at home unless you are: shopping for essentials, receiving medical care, exercising or travelling to work or education.
While some people would regard going geocaching as a form of exercise, it is my personal opinion that this activity is a non-essential one, perhaps involving unnecessary travel and therefore should not be undertaken during this time of crisis.
Who knows how long this current lockdown will last! Right now, every one of us has an important part to play in helping to keep our families, friends and the wider community safe in the fight against the spread of Covid-19, by staying home.
As a result of the health authority’s directive, I have decided to disable this cache and respectfully request that no person seek out and claim a find whilst this cache is disabled.
Thank you for your cooperation. I look forward to bringing my caches back into play as soon as the health crisis abates.

Calypso62

Awesome cache!
I targeted this because of it's size, and wasn't disappointed!
WP1 was also very well done, I liked the personalisation of it!
I then headed in via the track, which seemed to be in worse condition than the photo in the listing which showed the bad condition of the track before it was maintained...!? LOL! It was extremely overgrown with the grass up to my thighs, and there was a section that had been damaged due to flooding like in the picture too! Didn't help that it was a wet day so the long grass got me soaked!
I soon arrived at GZ though, and found the well hidden cache! Love the container, there is a similar one in the Southern Highlands, but this has had even more work put into it
A favourite point from me, well done!

I love a good, simple, beautiful multi cache, and what a bonus that it was a large!

TFTC. Out for a bit if a walk today to find this cache. hot but fun find. the cache was really cooking.
We were out and about exploring today and I was asked: should we go find a quick cache? The answer was of course yes and I scanned the map nearby. This cache was in range and I knew today would be a good day to finally make the find.
A few years back I had initially attempted this multi. We had found WP1 and was most of the way towards GZ until we were called out to go somewhere and we had to abandon the hunt.
Unfortunately I did not have the coordinates saved but I remembered the hide. After looking around for a good five minutes, we could not find what I recalled was the hide. There has been recent NBN work right at the WP so we suspected either something has happened there.
- After reading the logs in the recent years, I believe the hide may have changed and that is why we could not quickly locate it -
Nevermind that, I could remember the general area in which the final was hidden and we set off towards GZ. We had a pleasant little trek to where we believed it was. We had pondered on the idea of driving but decided against it and we are glad we did haha. I would be interesting to see the difference if this "planned road" ever did get built.
After checking a few places, we found a few things. One area led us to many metal objects, a wheelbarrow, an engine, a car bonnet. We left that area and went to the next possible spot. Employing the age old strategy of *dividing and conquering* we indeed conquered, turning up with the hide after a mere five minutes. Blind geocaching was actually quite fun!
Piece by piece we unveiled the hide to reveal and gorgeous container. It all makes sense. Opened 'er up and retrieved the pristine snaplock.
Signed log and deposited an ever so useful 'sanitising towel'. TFTgreatC Calypso, we really enjoyed this adventure. Fp!!

As the NSW Government is now beginning the process of easing some of the Covid-19 restrictions, it is appropriate that my geocaches be brought back into play.
**Please Remember - It is still very important to exercise social distancing while you are out and about and to practise good hand hygiene after touching caches out in the geo-wild.

I love the final point of "Wise Guys' and decided to return today for a picnic at the rock ledge overlooking Berowra Creek. But first we took a short detour for "What's Cooking".
The first waypoint took longer than needed as I first stuck my head into the thorny tree. Without a result I looked around and then spotted the waypoint, and immediately I understood the hint! Very clever!
Then it was a short walk down an ugly fire trail to the final waypoint. The large cache was soon discovered. Great use of kitchen equipment.
Then it was on to the picnic! Great views and the cool breeze coming from the West was very welcome on this hot day!

Out caching in the area on a sunny spring day, feeling a little hot after the wall back to the car from GZ.
After quickly finding WP1, I had already decided this cache was worthy of a FP because of the audacity of that first clue. I walked down to GZ, heeding the warning about wildlife - it feels like a very snakey day.
I arrived at GZ with no problems and soon spotted the camo. Removed a piece, then another. What’s going on here? Is that what I think it is?.. To say I’ve never seen a container like that would be a complete lie, but this was certainly a new use for it!
Log signed, I set to returning the camo and heading up the hill and made it to the with still not a reptile in sight.
FP for this very entertaining cache! Thanks Calypso62, another brilliant contribution to the game!

Calypso62 you've done it again! What a nice walk through some bushland to see a nice rewarding container. TFTC.
OCW Sensible Shoes and Shoes Junior. At waypoint 1 I did a vomit. Once we got to GZ it was a quick find by Shoes Junior. Signed as Shoes x3. TFTC If I was Premium I would give this 3 favourite points! Amazing cache TFTC.
This cache was our focus for the day, prompted by the GCV/CA GeoChallenge of the month to find a large sized geocache. After enjoying the WP camo, we strolled down to GZ in the wind and before too long Shoes Junior was getting his hands on the cache. It was a bit too early for lunch so nothing was cooking here today. We took a die and left a bunch of swag to top up the goodies. Thanks for helping us to satisfy another GeoChallenge
Well that was not what we were expecting to see...definitely a nice surprise
A great well themed cache tftc

Taking some time out to get some points in the current Souvenir Challenge, Cache Carnival. High favourite caches were the target for today, and these caches definitely earned their favourite points, even scoring a few from my collection.
After pulling up to WP1, a quick search revealed some legitimate coordinates. After a short drive to GZ (glad we didn't walk as we found some muddy sections), we pulled into the clearing, and widened our search area. Something was spotted out of place and digging through the rocks found something unusual. Definitely in theme with the cache name, and not something you expect to come across in the Aussie bush.

Loved the waypoint - was just disappointed I didn't twig to it sooner, but I got distracted with the wrong feature. A quick walk and there it was - in the bush. There's obviously more of a story behind this... I cooked Ant Souffle. TFTC.
Thanks for this fun puzzle and morning walk with Baltrak and geodog.
The young horses in the next field were amused too.
The cache and hide were up to your usual high standard Calypso62.
There's my weight-lifting for the day
Of course a fav for this

Today I headed out to Dural, for the Amateur Radio NSW (HAM Radio) bi-monthly Trash & Treasure sale at Quarry Road, but I was also keen to target some high Favourite point awarded caches to boost our Cache Carnival points tally. Stopped for a few quick “park & grab” Traditionals on the way out, then after the T&T sale & BBQ it was over to Dural & Kenthurst for a few highly Favourited Multis, and then headed home via Baulkham Hills to target a cluster of highly Favourited caches in the Crestwood area, before finishing the day at North Rocks with Australia’s second oldest active geocache. This was the 4th of 20 finds, and 1 DNF, for the day.
After a fun filled morning of HAM radio junk scrounging, and a nice BBQ lunch with lots of friendly chit chat, it was now time to grab some more caches while on the homeward journey. Started with this one at Kenthurst, arriving at the posted coords (WP1) and quickly discovering the whereabouts of the mystery C62 kitchen.
Decided to drive to the kitchen, giving our newish Suzuki Vitara 4X4 an off-road workout, and soon arrived and headed over to see what I could cook up. I had correctly guessed what I might find at GZ, but it was still interesting to see it in such an environment, and so nicely camoed. Signed & stamped the recipe book, TNLN, then replaced everything as found.
Thanks Calypso62 for the unusual cache container, and for the fun little off-road adventure to get to it. Have another Favourite point for your collection.

Well well well. What a very sneaky cache! Thoroughly enjoyed this one and even more so when we found it!! What a container! Thanks again for another wonderful cache Calypso62! Always puts a smile on my face!
Found with Mighty Minions, BillHill531 and my boys. I was nominated for cache of the year, so headed down to Sydney for an event, after we found a few shortlisted caches.
My eldest son found the waypoint, then he found the final as well. Good work. Fav for the fun.
Thanks for fun and multi!

Found with TOMBI! and son, The_Mighty_Minions after going to the Geocaching Australia Christmas Party Event. found the way piont quickly, and drove to the GZ to cook up a storm. The letterbox way next only 300 meters away, but we seemed to drive about 20km to get there. TFTC Calypso62

Well after attending the nearby Geocaching NSW Christmas event Tombi! , Pagoda Climber, Toby , BillHill531 , Leopard Kat and I came searching for a few nearby caches. This one was a lot of fun. It was pagoda Climber who did all the work on this one making it a very quick find. Thanks for the cache Calypso62 tnln replaced as found sl
Great easy hide left trackable , really needed the use of this a couple of nights ago for my popcorn.
Spring is in the air and geokid out for a birthday party so geodad had time to look for a couple of caches.
This was number 3 out of 4 for the day.
WP1 was found quickly as were the coordinates for the final stage. Love the cache container! One of my favorite caches in the area.

Located at 9:38am. #500! Wow, what a fun multi and perfectly perfect for my milestone 500th find. I started the morning on 492 and quickly logged six traditionals and one letterbox hybrid before making my way here. Located the coordinates, which had me chuckling for a good long while, and made my way to GZ. A lovely walk to GZ on a very pleasant morning. I arrived and found my prize. Yup, I was expecting a surprise and this one most certainly zapped my senses. Love it! You’ve delivered again Calypso, please accept another favourite point from me, I look forward to all your other caches. I’m also stoked to log this multi as I’m trying to log different cache types for each milestone. A Traditional for 200. A Virtual for 300. An Earth Cache for 400. Now a Multi for 500. Many thanks again. Спасибо! תודה! L’chaim! TFTC!
Knowing how many FPs I have awarded to CO in the past, I came prepared. Found the first WP (a smile hit the dial on realisation) and then it was off to scare some unseen Joe Blakes. Circled a bit at GZ when I finally found this tiny cache.
Of course that’s what it is. Why wouldn't it be? Got me again Calypso62. TFTC.

I was not planning on a big day of caching but when AlphaDeltaIndigo and Everest High practically turned up on my door step and offered a ride, it was almost impossible for me to refuse their offer. While I missed out on their early morning event hopping and caching down at Oatley, I was happy to pick it up from here.
Our first stop was the ‘Australia Day 2018’ Event Cache at Forestville RSL. We bumped into vk2df in the car park and headed in together. It was nice meeting and chatting with the group of cachers, some who had travelled as far as Canberra, the Central Coast and even Newcastle to attend. I dropped two trackables into the event, which I had picked up in New York to bring back to Australia. Thanks For The Event Cache BindiGuider.
Traffic along the Pacific Highway proved a nightmare as we set a course for the next event, ’The Great Aussie Keytag Trek’, at Fagan Park in Galston. By this stage we were now running rather late and were at risk of missing the tail end of the event. We called ahead to the Cache Owner to flag our impending arrival and managed to find a more fluid detour to reach the event in time. While we ran out of time to partake in the key tag trek, we were able to catch up with some familiar faces. Thanks For The Event Cache Calypso62.
I noticed the ‘Dural Tunks Bush’ in Dural was 22 months unloved, and as soon as I told AlhpaDeltaIndigo and Everest High, they had blinkers on ready to hit it up. An easy find for us, which was nice and great to collect more unloved days, as always. Thanks For The Cache pjmpjm and Purplepeopleater - and thanks for maintaining the cache so it could be found once again.
‘Thunderbolts and Lightning’ in Galston. Finding the cache was the easy part! As many have before us, extracting the log was much tricker than expected. Our suspicions proved to be right on the money but it took multiple checks of every option, before the log revealed itself. Thanks For The Cache Calypso62, you devious nutter!
We continued to ‘Dural Mitchell Fire Trail’ in Dural, and enjoyed the pleasant walk towards Ground Zero. This was another cache, which took us longer than expected but we knew it was not going to be the most straightforward hide. After resorting to the logs of previous finders for clues, we widened our search and broadened our thinking somewhat, before I spotted something glistening in the sun’s rays. I indicated to Everest High and AlphaDeltaIndigo that I had spotted what we were looking for and gave them the chance to see the forest through the trees (or is it the tree through the forest… who can be sure?). Thanks For The Cache pjmpjm and alfyboy.
I was keen to attempt at least one Multi Cache today, so we set our sights on ‘What's Cookin??’ in Kenthurst. We collected the information at the published co-ordinates easily enough and continued towards the final location. Once there, it was a straight forward find and we had the Cache In Hand without the kitchen burning down. A nice sized container was the prize! Thanks For The Multi Cache Calypso62.
‘Four!!!!!!’ Mystery Cache in Dural. I had found the former cache, which was virtually identical to this new one, so knew exactly where to go. A nice quick park and grab for us, as we started making our way back home. Thanks For The Mystery Cache Purplepeopleater.
One last detour on the way would be ’Train Spotter - 46 Class’ in Beecroft. I remember coming here once late at night to have a look but must have forgotten to log a Did Not Find for some reason. This time, however, we were here during day light and the search was a little easier. Co-ordinates are fairly spot on for us and it was not long until we uncovered the sneaky cammo, along with the cache. Thanks For The Cache Blundo Busters.

OCW ADI & JordsAu. After Calypso62's AUS Day 2018 Event at Fagan Park, Dural, we decided to find some caches around that area, some of which belonged to Calypso62. It was a sweltering summers day and we felt we were cookin' in the heat. At WP1 we got the necessary ingredients and followed the recipe to GZ where we put the mix in the oven and out came a Smiley cake. TFTC Calypso62

While out visiting the Dural library I thought I'd make time for a cache in the area and set my sights on this one. I've been on some of the roads in the area before, and could easily spend an afternoon admiring the beautiful properties out this way. Not much chance that we'll be living out this part of Sydney, alas! What do these people do for a living?
Anyway, after deciding to ignore the strange routing my GPSr suggested (including via a "proposed" and as-yet-unbuilt road that spans a gorge), and following a more sensible approach to WP1 on real roads, we pulled up in a quiet area and aimed for the waypoint. I had some pre-conceived ideas about where I should look, only to find nix, nil, zilch and nada. Hmmm, trust Calypso to add a touch of extra mystery ... After circling a few times and scratching my head, I started thinking about something I did notice and considering the neat "coincidence". Then, after a few more minutes I thought, "well, perhaps it could be something along these lines ..." Great was my joy to be right on this one. You sneaky ol' devil, Calypso!!
With the new information entered into my GPSr I could see where we needed to go. I was even tempted to head off in the car because it's a capable 4WD. Besides, we like going on "bompity roads" as my 4-year old likes to say. Alas, the council sign expressly lists motorised vehicles as VERBOTEN! Real killjoys!!
So it was a walk in, instead of a drive. Soon we were near GZ and I espied the hiding spot. I thought I'd let my son try make the find, so I handed him the GPSr and told him to go where the arrow was pointing. It didn't take him long to exclaim that he'd seen something peeping out and to check out the hiding spot.
A bit of earthworks followed before we were able to set up the kitchen, unpack our lunch items and prepare a sumptuous meal, right there in the bush. Great idea for al fresco diners. Pity there wasn't a bar on hand for a nice cold frosty to wash down the meal; no doubt, we can probably expect a Calypso cache along those lines in the near future (perhaps there already is one that I still need to find ...).
We added our names to the log, as well as my signature small wire dog. I also grabbed the TB which has been languishing here for a while. I'm not heading anywhere near Gallipoli for now, but I'll take it to a TB hotel from which it might be easier to get a connecting flight.
Then we got the earthmoving team to clean up the kitchen and restore order. After that it was as though we had never even been there. That lovely outing worked up a second wind on our appetites, so we headed on home for a second lunch.

Woo Hoo 2000th find!!!!!
At KRSs event a couple of weeks ago we were talking about this momentous number of finds approaching and he said "Have you chosen something special for it?" I hadn't but once that idea was planted in my thick skull I began to think about what cache I would choose?
Calypso62 caches are always good value so I collected the info at WP1 for this cache a couple of weeks ago and saved it for this milestone smilie.
After competition tennis today I drove back to the waypoint and set off to locate the cache ready for the fun - GPS, yes, TBs, yes, pen, yes, hat, yes, suitable shoes....no brand new white tennis shoes. Oh well they well worn in now!
The track was quite muddy and the shoes had completely the wrong tread for the bush bit at the end but then shoes don't stop you finding a cache.
After a bit of a scramble around the cache revealed itself!
You've gotta laugh!
It must have taken some work to get that here!
Opening the camo was easy enough but getting the inner container out was impossible. After several minutes I was able to get my hand inside and reach the logbook. I signed the logbook and left a TB which wants to go to Anzac Cove. I figure anyone who is adventurous enough to come here would be likely to go to Gallipoli.

Decided today to collect all cache size in a day. This was my fifth. Toyed with the idea of driving to GZ. Set out but decided I didn't quite have the required clearance and continued on foot. The recent hazard reduction burn has reduced the bush bash to a stroll. It was quick find at the GZ. A ll good at the cache TFTC. FP awarded for the original container.
After a great puzzle night, camping nearby, I wanted to do one more Calypso cache before heading home. It was too hot to re try Thunderbolts, so I opted for a nice 2WP Multi.
And again this one did not disappoint me. Calypso is the MASTER of Multis in my eyes. Every single one is themed.
It was so hot today that I felt as though I were cooking from the outside of the cache. Hehe.
Another Favorite Calypso.. well done mate.

Out with JJCC on a mission to find an old school cache for the day...then on our way back home we picked up a few extra caches.
Parking just near WP1 we managed to find what was needed and calculated our next waypoint. Due to the fire the bush is still sparse, so on arriving at GZ an easy approach was made and some telltale signs shortly spotted. With the cache in hand we both signed the log, before replacing everything as found. Both the log and cache container are in excellent condition.
Grabbed TB Felys Signal Tag - Boat.
The following TBs came through for the mileage: Bob geoMinion, Dave geoMinion, Evil geoMinion, Jerry geoMinion, Larry geoMinion, Stuart geoMinion, teamMerlin's 7 Deadly Ducks Tag (Lust) and Vanlith The Youngling.

Out with Team Merlin to find an old school cache. This cache was another bonus as we have been waiting for it to be back on line.
Parking near by with coordinates in hand we approached WP1. Determining the needed information we calculated the next WP. Reaching GZ we spotted the cache nice quick find. Out with the geoWife to collect our Mission GC souvenir for the weekend. WP1 took a bit of finding as we couldn't see it from the posted coords. Once we started exploring, something immediately made us think of the CO. After a short stroll to GZ we were ready to cook up a storm. However, as it was only morning tea time, we settled for a snack and accessed the kitchen the hard way. Another example demonstrating why this CO's caches never fail time impress!
Thanks C62 !!! Left TB

Everything is now in place and this one is now ready to come back into play. I wonder who will be the next geocacher to find What's Cookin??
Cache on........
Cache on........
This cache is just about ready to go. I should be able to return it in the next few days. Thanks everyone for your patience.
This one's still in the pipeline and not forgotten. A work in progress. I hate it when life gets in the way of geocaching!
A new cache has been obtained and is currently being prepared for placement. Won't be long now.
The bushland is slowly regenerating. I am still sourcing another cache container. I have this one firmly in my mind to get it back up and running in the relatively near future. Thanks for your patience everyone.
After reading Alnic39's log, I followed up with a cache check and I discovered that indeed the meal has been well and truly cooked..... burnt, bashed and buried you might say. This cache will be offline until I can source a new cache container and the undergrowth around GZ regenerates to some degree. It will come back. Stay tuned!
Out and about in the Dural area, where I spent my primary school days, so there was some reminiscing going on. Slight problem with this one. Nature has done some cooking in the area and the cache container and log is...TOAST! I signed as best as I could, as I didn't want to miss the opportunity after the effort to get to it. Thanx C62. Photo attached.
Very clever - thank you Calypso62.
This required a serious amount of patience and resilience. It paid off with a bit of luck... an 8 year playing with a stick and pointing to something... which moved! WP1!
2 trackable retrievals. No choice but to tackle another adventure next weekend.

Decided to head back to Dural today, as I had a hankering for some bush walking caches. Looked for five, and found them all. First day without a DNF for a little while.
Thoroughly enjoyed the day's search.
END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION
Well, this is almost a bush cache.
Well, I turned it into one...
Got to the published coordinates. Well, that's brazen.
So with the coordinates for GZ I started the walk... and spotted two worker muggles right near where I was looking to leave the track.
Noticed a trail near where I was so looked to avoid them by taking it. Unfortunately after a short while it was obvious it was going further and further from GZ. So I backtracked and chose a spot to start bushbashing - going a few times further than I should have.
Got to GZ for the quick find - aah, seen that container before. Then took a while working out how to open it as the mechanism was well camouflaged...
Completed signing duties and replaced.
Dropped two trackables - Greeny and Aussieroo Geocoin.
Then made my way back out, saying hello to the muggles who were still there - not working - as I passed.

We went out for a caching morning with Phantom Cyclist and after gathering info at WP1 we managed to drive towards GZ. The area is just so beautiful in spring with all the different wildflowers in bloom. We found the cache and discovered what's cooking, but didn't want to try and eat it. The info at WP1 was hidden appropriately and the cache itself held interesting stuff. Deserves a fav point. TFTC.
While out with goingplaces2, collected the information at WP1. Then made our way to GZ and found a very cool cache. TFTC.
We were in the area today and noticed a couple of Calypso62 caches nearby. Guaranteed quality! But what's this...a micro in the bush! C'mon mate, you know better than that hehe! Loved it really, have a fav point. TFTC!

1/07/15. 12:03 PM. Cache #2643. Streak day #374.
After my DNF at "Haunted House above the Hidden Valley" I was heading for home, with no plans for any more caching. But as I drove through Dural, I remembered seeing that this one had just recently gone back online and wouldn't make a long detour, so over here I came. At WP1, the thorny tree gave me grief as I tried a few possible ideas as to where the first item might be. Walked around a bit and then saw something that made me laugh - aha, there you are. Now I had the co-ords for the final and headed towards it.
A 4WD might have made a better option, but I might have got bogged, so I made my way on foot, though the way was incredibly muddy. The bush-bash at the end was only very short, so I found a few places that matched the hint. Working my way around them all, I finally got to a likely hide, and there was the whopper.
Of course a whopper's no good cold, it needed heating up, so I knew what to do. But where was the button? Finally I spotted that too, but had to move more camo to give it room to move. Into the next layer and signed the log book. Put it all back and then returned to the car, now to really head for home.
Great cache C62, cheers.

All maintenance issues have now been corrected. I have moved GZ slightly and hopefully this cache will be more muggle-proof. It's good to go!
I went to GZ to check on my cache and found the outer camouflage in the vicinity and undamaged. That was a relief! I also removed the cache container and discovered the logbook was in there with some rather unsavoury comments added. I get the feeling the muggles may have been kids! I spent some time scouring the area for a new hiding spot and found one that may be a bit more secluded. Adjustments are still to be made so will have this cache back online shortly.
I'm sorry to hear that my cache has been muggled. Pleased to hear the outer camouflage is still there. Disabling till I get things sorted. Thanks to AMGSARI for the heads up.
What a brilliant idea for WP1, working in the industry however definately had me looking at something straight away that didnt belong.
Unfortunately on reaching GZ i found the muggles had beat me to it. Contents of the cache littered GZ and the log was nowhere to be found. I placed as many items as i could back inside the clever cache and signed on a geocaching NSW brochure to log my visit.
Time for some TLC.

Out with FootyFanatics and pdbunce on Anzac Day. We are such fans of CO (Calypso62's) work and this did not disappoint. We look forward to completing others.

#61 took a while to find WP1 put my hand on it a few times before a kindly reminder as to what I first saw from CO. This led me straight to GZ which I found without much trouble. More trouble unpacking the cache. Took TB to get it moving again. Thanks for the day this was certainly more different to any of my previous caches

Rumbled my way down the thin black line again this morning in the company of a multitude of commuters in the pouring rain, With the amount of crazy antic's and crazy drivers thought I was in Bangkok.Thankfully the rain stopped by the time we reached Berowra and sanity prevailed. Arriving at the first waypoint the information required was quickly in hand proceeded to the GZ, And After some manual labour the prize was quickly in hand signed sealed and returned to it's hidey hole. what a shame i didn't bring a TV dinner. When we pulled up at the first waypoint mrnoo17 spotted something that just seemed it had to be, so I jumped out and confirmed his suspicions. As it was raining we drove to GZ and jumped out half expecting another waypoint, but spotted the large SPOR.
The cache made us laugh a little, great cache container. Now I wonder what would happen if... Nah, we'll just sign it before getting in to any trouble.
As always thanks for the effort in all your caches

As the weather was very wet today, we opted for plan B; instead of going back through wisemans ferry, and go through Dural instead. I spotted WP1 and thought, hey? That might be the waypoint! The trademark of the CO led us more than 300m away. I'm not walking in that in the rain! Well, we didn't need to! We drove within 20m of GZ. Quick find, as it is quite obvious! Probably one of the better large caches I have found. Good to see a re-use for this sort of item. TFTC!!!!
Knowing the CO, I'm always sure that the caches will be memorable... I did this one with the CO watching me (literally, and not at all in a creepy sense) with the intention of dropping off my new TB to commence its journey to Canada - racing me. The new TB is a kangaroo, because my Canadian friend (Karen) wants her own. And lo and behold there were a couple of wallabies / kangaroos at GZ! Anyway WP1 I had an idea, but it wasn't until I turned around that I found what I needed. Had a couple hundred metre stroll to GZ where I found the cache straight away - what great "camo"! Giving a favourite for the Kangaroos and the cache container. Thanks Calypso62!
I accompanied Skyebomonkeytown as she went in search of my cache. WP1 is in position. The cache itself was completely exposed however all the contents were discovered to be in good order. After SBMT completed the signing duties, the cache container was again covered with local natural camouflage and is now ready for the next finder.
Please ensure you take the time to rehide the cache before leaving GZ. Thanks.

It was our very first geocache and with 5 kids in tow on a very hot afternoon, we almost gave up...... And then my son yelled out " i found it". The excitement was palpable.
I think my kids expected real treasure, but the sweet give-alway we took ( and replaced with another) made their day.
A great nature walk, but make sure you have good walking shoes on!
It was quite a job to re-camo, as it's quite a heavy cache, but my guy and I managed, we even made a wall out of rocks to camo!!! ( am I allowed to say that?!?!)
Thanks for he fun.

Aborted our attempt last week after starting from the wrong direction. Today we parked near "Not so Plain Jane" and walked over. A bit warm but scenery interesting. Unbelievable house sizes around here. Got to WP1 and found two young men sitting in a car. No they weren't geocaching and , although pleasant, were not overly keen to chat. Laughed when we found what we needed to find. Spotted a really big eagle flying over what turned out to be GZ. You know how you try to guess what you might find before you get to GZ? Based on the name and the photo we thought we might find an old chicken farm. We were wrong! This is a great geocache and recycling at its finest! A definite favourite from us. Oh, yeah, the boys were still at WP1 when we returned and they passed us later after another car came and left with them. Might be a bartering spot??!! T small car TB L a ladybug SL TFTC Cheers... Parked near Kenthurst Oval thinking we could make our way to GZ from here. Walked down the steep hill and up the other steep side. Headed down Dural St which the map showed went through to GZ. Dead end on a private road. Oh my! Back down the steep road and up the steep other side to the car. Will visit this on another day. Looks fun! Cheers... Gaztek
Decided that today I would make better of day than just finding a trad cache and I didn't feel up to solving a mystery puzzle, so a multi it is. This one has been on my radar previously when I cleared out most of the Kenthurst caches and I saw it had a number of faves so I figured it would be worth fighting the heat to grab it. And it did not let me down. WP1 was a no brainer and then I drove to GZ, must remember my car is not a 4WD. got to 80 metres where there was a nice turning area and geodogs and I treked the rest of the way. Easy find and nice to see the cache guardian was still protecting - I love how the little critter has made it his job to guard this cache. SL #1623 on streak day #817 TFTC and have another fav to add to the collection. Left TB
Funny that I have found two of these type of containers in the last week, and no others in the last two years.
I covered it as well as I could, but it is a bit obvious..
Thanks for the multi.

After having fun finding Watch Out For Muggles earlier in the day (by the same CO, highly recommended) there was no way I was going to miss out on this cache! On approach to WP1 I spotted something that looked strangely familiar, but I still managed to do a few circles of the area before my brain started working again and I obtained the GZ coordinates. I was debating whether to hike or drive towards GZ but instead I took the advice in the description and walked, since it was a warm sunny afternoon. While the cache camo was fairly typical for a bush-style hide, the cache container itself was far from typical, quite extraordinary and unique in fact! I had a little chuckle to myself as it took me a while to extract the log and put it back, another classic hide and another favourite. TFTC Calypso62!
