If you try to approach this one from below you will be doing it the hard/impossible way, come in from above/beside.

06-May-12
Viewing platform seems to be washed away and path is closed and a bit iffy in places might need archiving or at least a check

06-Apr-12
Walkway is open again. Checked on cache and still there. All systems go.

07-Jan-12
Disabling this one until I can check gz; doesn't sound promising though.

27-Dec-11
The track said it was closed due to slips so did what any naughty geocacher did, (check on the cache) it may have gone with the slips!!

I foolishly thought that I could quickly follow the walkway track. There are a lot of steps, but was rewarded with a great view.

Our first cache in New Zealand. Thanks for it. Had to look for another way.

07-Oct-11
Really nice view, TFTC!

Well that blew the cobwebs out! Was in the neighbourhood having another go at a dnf from a couple of days ago, and parked at the Mackee Domain and went up the bush tracks. Good one, thanks Topgear 01 (and dog!)

what a groovy spot for a cache. Worker was in car sit mode, but luckily for her, decided to walk this one. Looking down at where we had just had a picnic. Now I understand the cache name, had us wondering at the time !

29-May-11
Amazing views - well worth the walk!!

A nice quick early morning find on my day off. Fantastic view today. Spent 10 or so minutes admiring it. Thanks for the great cache =)

29-May-11
Incredible views from this location. Suggested from friends that something "special" could happen here!

29-May-11
Awesome location!! Would never have known it was there if it wasn't for this cache.
Thanks!

24-Apr-11
First cache of the day, and an area I know well as my Mum used to live in one of the very near houses. Cheers Gav [7748]

Tryed looking for this one acouple of times but then relised that it was the wrong way. Dropped of 10 10 2010 geocoin because I thought it was a good place since it is called 10 10 10 prized view

09-Apr-11
Tried the impossible way first but soon gave up and gave into the logic approach

09-Apr-11
Started off the wrong way, soon realised that was not the way to go.

13-Mar-11
Nice quick walk to the cache - soon located. SL TFTC

Stopped by with Billhillies. One of those spots you'd never find if you were visiting the country like us and hadn't stopped for a cache. Glad to find a map at the bottom so we realised that wasn't the best approach. Nice to hear a bell bird on the trail to the cache. Great view too. TFTC

23-Feb-11
Found with Hard Oiler. Thanks for the visit (and a great view).

20-Feb-11
I certainly put a lot of effort into finding this cache, I think I must have started in the wrong place but managed to get the cache in the end. TFTC. Cheers Bo

In a far far away time, long before earthquakes (well, about ten days before, actually), Annie & PB went geocaching in Nelson for Annie’s birthday. Some of the caches never got logged, and this was one of them. So we’re logging it now – with a, hopefully, never-to-be-repeated, repetitive log.
So, thanks for your cache, and I’m pretty sure we signed the log. We maybe even took a coin or TB on further travels, or possibly dropped one off. SmileWink

Another cool find while in Sunny Nelson

nice views and container

06-Feb-11
Nice camo job and great views. Didn't have climbing gear with us so did this the easy way - from the top. Cleverly dropped the pen between the slats, never to be seen again, but replaced it with our own one, courtesy of the BNZ. TFTC.

04-Feb-11
This one fooled us in exactly the same way as the original, soon had it sussed again. Seems the best caching spots are worth visiting more than once.

Great spot, ate my takeaways overlooking the sea, just on dusk- the glow of campfires can be seen down in McKees Reserve

04-Jan-11
Great views from GZ. Enjoyed the walk to the platform, had a bit of a hunt for the cache - I must learn to interpret hints better!! Big Grin TFTC

04-Jan-11
We thought (very briefly) about walking up from below, but reason quickly kicked in. The new boards and fresh sawdust had us worried for a while but then we checked that this had been found during the holidays, so continued searching. - - - - Finally had our hands on the prize. Hmmm. Not sure about the hint. Picked up TB. Amazing views! Thanks for bringing us here. Smile

04-Jan-11
Sorry I forgot to update the hint when container replaced. Now updated.

02-Jan-11
This cache site definitely deserves to have a cache here and found it easily as i did the last one here as well. TFTC
Swapped coin for a TB

Yes I agree it is a prized view. Very good camo job too. TFTC #1745

Coordinates changed to:

Distance from original: 18.3 feet or 5.6 meters.

Called in tonight and only found the log book and bag with a log written by the Sicon worker who repaired the platform. I'm guessing he now has a nice new 1 litre lunch box. Replaced the container with another and moved the cache slightly. New co-rds and hint.

21-Dec-10
Cache container replaced.

13-Dec-10
Luckily I had found the previous one and didn't have to repeat my confusion at how to access GZ. A great view and nice to re-visit.
Ziplock bag and logbook only found, no container seen. Owner advised.

Many thanks FTC

A report from a reliable source suggests that this cache has been compromised. I'll check it out soon.

quick find
nice area
good one

Thanks for the new cache here. We had no problem with the walkway as we do remember the last cache here but more than happy to repeat the visit. Took TB. Left nothing. TFTC

23-Nov-10
Thanks for putting another cache here love the view from the spot althought the light was dying at the time we did this cache.

23-Nov-10
Decided to do a couple or 3 caches this evening - a pleasant return to this place ( last time Stretch0 broke his jandal on the way in - not good for a tender foot ) no problems with footwear this time - found just as light was fading log signed enjoyed the cache thank you Smile

22-Nov-10
Well this is another one for the books... Got to GZ, admired the view and then started my search. Laid my hands quite quickly on a nice big plastic box, with some peeling camo and a log book dating back several years...Wait a minute, this cache only got published last night and Mr FTF signature is not obvious... Had to interrupt cache owner's work day with a quick cache query.. Yes there was another cache in this spot a long time ago and no that was not his cache. So then I checked the hint - honestly hadn't looked at it before then - and carried on searching. Found the real cache shortly after. I have removed the old cache to prevent future confusion and will probably recycle it in the near future. TFTC, Biggles.

Nice One!!!!!!!! Second or third visit to GZ and still just as impressed. Neat little bush walk with a great view of the Bay as a reward. The nearby summer baches and cottages are a bit of Kiwiana gone wild. Much fun! Thanks

Sitting at GZ logging this. Stunning night with a full moon and a full tide on a clear night. How could I not come for this cache? Yes, 2nd visit here - still a million dollar view. TFTC and bringing me here. Just one "thing" missing when I stare up at the sky...Wink #CS#
