This was our first day's caching in ages. We didn't find ANY.... AND this was our 3rd DNF for the day.
The only things we did find (on the ground) were a clock mechanism and a couple of caching(?) pencils.
Also, the place we think the cache was hiding is rather wrecked.
Hope we're wrong.

Nice spot (noisy traffic though), neat hide. The swamp gum giant is amazing!

A quick find on our way out of New Norfolk and down to the Huon Channel caching. Drove to end of the road where there were at least a dozen roosters in the car park. Guess they'd been dumped there. Thanks.
Found on the way home from picking up my youngest son after a few nights with the grandparents at Mt Field NP.
I can't believe that after six years of driving past this spot, I never stopped to take a closer look. Thanks Polfil for encouraging me to pause here a while!

We did a quick trick to New Norfold this afternoon as we parked the caravan at the Flour Mill at Campania - this was one of the caches we targetted and were able to find. Thanks polfil
Our first cache on Tasmania. We (Swanslake from Holland) teached the children of our friends, in New Norfolk, how to cache! Good to find this one and find a bug as wel. Took one bug and left a coin and a bug.
Loved this spot plenty to see and learn, there was great amazment at the size of this log. Some interesting reading on the rocks and ages of these. Had a drive to the end to be meet with a group of chickens. Was another car in here a little later when we returned to look for a frog.

After spending the day helping a friend pack up her house, I thought i'd grab this one on the way home. I was impressed to find that the big log was growing a baby eucalypt!! Very impressed at the way life continues on. Nice quick find. I always thought that this would have been a good spot for a cache. Thanks!
On the way back out on New Norfolk, I pulled in here.
Nobody about.
I quickly spotted the hide (without the hint for once!) and retrieved the cache.
As I walked to a rock to sit and sign, I found that another car had pulled up 30m and the driver was out and feeding birds!?
I signed, waited for him to leave, then replaced, whereupon another pulled up. Odd.
Anyway, I then had a look at the swamp gum, which has inspired me to head up to some of the old forests while they're still there.
Thanks for the cache!

Walked here along the track with Old Boots. The road was very busy. Greetings from NZ. TFTC
Out for sightseeing and geocaching, A good spot to stop and learn something about the area. Even took a few minutes to go to the obvious hiding spot, TFTC.
I have never noticed this little layby before today and we were the only car about on this fine afternoon.
A very easy find with the aid of the clue.

Another polfil find for us on our Tassie Trek. The nearby log is amazing. TNLN. Thanks again.
Having never been to but heard a lot of good about Tasmania it was great to get here for a ten day holiday with Pathfinder24. Even in winter time we had a terrific stay. The rivers were full and the water falls mighty and amazing, and we came across such lovely food and local products in addition to caches on our way around the island. This one we found as number seven on our eight day in Tassie. Quick easy drive by. Interesting information about the rocks. Think this could have been made into a great earth cache. Thanks for bringing us here, polfil.
Holiday time for me and Ostara74, and since it is winter we decided the logical thing to do would be head south. Thus, within a few days, we had planned and booked everything we needed and were of on our "Top spots of Tasmania Geocaching Tour". Ten days in Tassie to enjoy this magical in winter! Having only been here in Summer, and Ostara74 had never been here, we were in for a treat. The rivers were bulging, the water falls pumping, the rain forests were extra rainy, and the whole place was wonderfully green and alive. We decided upon a route, grab a hire car from Launceston airport and headed off. Basically, we ticked a few must see places on a map and then decided to simple find other stuff along the way, caching where ever we saw a cache along the route. Wonderfully easy to do when you can load all the caches for the state into the GPS as the same time. This was cache find number seven for day eight. We pulled up here to see an amazing educational resource. Found the cache quickly and then had a good look at the information and the rocks on display. This cache could be a really brilliant earth cache. Thanks for the cache polfil.
Nice, easy find. Thanks to the feathered Geocache Coach aka The Rooster. Took us straight to GZ. TFTC.
Quick easy find. I was kept company whilst looking by a resident rooster who followed me around and seemed to want to chat...
A quick stop with some shelter from the rain. Also seemed to have a feathered resident! TFTC!
Enjoyed the stop here on our way past this morning. Interesting features and well explained and signed. Nice one polfil, thanks.
Nine times out of ten, we say wow, never knew this was here, well, not this time. Know this place from being a little tacker (bloody long time ago!) Took nothing, left geonickel, SL, TFTC!
TFTC - busy for Easter weekend with people at the boat ramp but we managed to get in and out alright
A quick drive to the National park allowed us only a limited caching time-luckily this was a quick drive by.

On our way to Strahan from Hobart whilst here in Tasmania on holidays from Perth, WA. Made a nice quick stop here - thought we might have scored a gnome as well but it was not to be. TFTH
Found with MtnLioness on our week-long sightseeing, touring and caching tour of Tasmania.

Thanks.
Found in the company of MtbikerOz (Dad) on our week of Touring and caching around Tazzie.

Great cache. I have driven past this location many times with out seeing this display. Great to see. Tftc
Quick detour off the road and located before ozvixen even made it out of the car. Few photos of the tree stump and back on our way, narrowly avoiding the wandering roosters escaped from a nearby farm.
On our way up the Derwent Valley for a few days camping with friends, stopped here for lunch, and had to find this cache.

On my way to NN for a meeting or two and decided that this would be a good grab. Jr Geo made the find and to our surprise a clean log. Hang on, I was sure this cache had been found but it still felt good to write in a clean log book. Cache safely replaced. TNLN SL
Thanks

Nice easy find - and a good chance to introduce one of my best mates to caching. I think the bug has bitten..
Grabbed this one on the way home from an evening of fly fishing up the Tyena river.
Nice warm night and a nice easy find in a cute spot. Thanks Polfil

Very interesting as Mrs M is an avid rock collector much to the rest of the team's disgust. Took a photo with one of Mrs M's newest collections with the info in the background. Mr M tried to leave some of her rocks behind but she saved them in the nick of time. No GC but left a GC. TFTC
A peaceful area to sit and eat our dinner after a hard days caching. Oh and found a cache to boot. TFTC Polfil Cheers Quilter
Wasn't even looking...turned on the app on my iPhone just out of interest and bobs your uncle I was 24m away tftc
I remembered that there was a cache somewhere near Norfolk that I hadn't found and it turns out we were in the area on another errand. So while we were here, we stopped and found Holey Holey Holey and then crossed the river for this one.
Tim Tam made the find whilst I was looking up something on the phone.
TNLN, discovered TB. Thanks polfil

I went for a pleasant after-dinner drive to find this cache. I dropped off a British Bobby Geocoin after visiting the local constabulary. TFTC.
The coordinates were spot on and this led to a quick find. We were very surprised that we were the first to sign the log so we will claim FTF. TFTC
