Happened to be at Brookside Park today so had a quick look. The cache is in the same place as it was when we originally found it. Not sure why this one is disabled.
Couldn't really figure from the cache page whether this cache was available to find or not...a tad confused!! Anyway spent nearly half an hour looking for it in the lovely afternoon sun while Jnr had a fantastic time running up and down the hills and in and out of tussocks! He also loved the little bridge and spent some time under there pretending to be a possum Look forward to trying again in the future...although perhaps with an updated clue as the one given identifies with pretty much the whole area!!

After having such an epic time in Oamaru caching last weekend with sharkiefan, we went out to get some more caching done today. But today we were only going as far as Rolleston and surrounds. An absolutely beautiful day for it!! With the sun shining high, and it being more of shorts and singlet weather than winter!! And nice to be caching in daylight too rather than the usual after work darkness and usually rain lately!
Oh my this one was harsh!! We systematically searched the whole area, but had no luck. Then started searching like crazy some more... still no luck. Then I had to run off for a bit... too much info if I say where... ... but when I got back, what do I see by sharkiefan saying she has it, and logging it!! Oh gosh!! really?!! Asked where it was... and really?!! That was quite obvious... how did we miss that?!! I suppose there is just so much tussok around that it appears to gobble everything up!! Haha.
TFTC!!

Found it! Very pleased with myself. Still missed it after systematically looking all around. Tftc. Very well hidden and so many distractions
I thought I would help solve this cache mystery.
I went down to locate this cache again as I knew where it should be as we had found it at the end of May.
Yes, it is still in the same spot!
If you pick the right path and locate the closest object based on the clue then you should find it easily.

Seems to have gone missing... Might of been stolen or the grounds keeper might have got it. ill put it back up if it is found!
we tried this in summer...a quick look but too many people around. so cold today, and nearby on an errand so looked again. no joy. reading the logs....could be any where....I hope that searching is not the cause of damage to the plants. maybe tighter coords or more specific hint would ensure less needless rummaging happens. so dnf for us. thanks
Sure it was dark, but we had torches, and there was the hint. Hmm. Checked every possible place according to 1) the hint and 2) the coordinates. Oh well.
I was very careful so I did not slip slide & hurt myself. Took some manoevering between the tussocks before the right spot was found. TFTC
My initial approach failed to turn up the cache, so I ended up circling around inspecting all proable sites ranging out to 15+m from my GZ. Nada. I then read the logs and went around inspecting everything once again. Still Nada. So, I commenced a 3rd circuit. This time, at about the 4th place, "Yahoo, gotch ya". Gps indicated 8m from GZ. T4TC.
After a DNF the other day and a friend telling me that the co-ordinates were about 10m out I decided to have another attempt at this cache. As it was raining I had the park to myself this time instead of the 100 odd people here the last time I tried. On the first swing past I missed the cache and checked out 15 trees! I was about to leave and I thought -no I will try coming from a different angle & found it at the first tree I looked at! Pleased to have this DNF crossed off my list and it kept my 193 day streak intact.
Arrived and to my horror it was soccer practice all over the park. After watching muggles for awhile realised that I could go to GZ and be out of sight of 90% of people and the remaining 10% were kids running about like mad - far to busy to be watching me. Unfortunately it didn't help and I still didn't find the cache even with several attempts at possible placements using the clues.
It felt very lonely out there today - not a soul in sight. Found without too much trouble. TFTC
812 - Found with Pokernet today. Co ordinates were 8/9m out but we managed to track the cache down after a poke about. At least it was a lovely day out here, and made for a pleasant trip to GZ. TFTC
Found it relativity easy pretty much need to use the hint.
I might have to go back at some stage and rewrite my name as my pen ran out while i was there, as it is only etched into the paper at the moment.

quick find once at the right location very quiet here on a windy afternoon - TFTC!!
07/01/13 18:35 JC Cache Dawg wanted to see the world so we went high while HM retrieved the cache. Hmmm, which side? Left or Right? We chose the right one. Cheers, GC.
Looked in all the flax bushes I could but too many muggles on wheels today to not look suspicious. Will come back. To the next cache...

We were selectively caching our way from Dunedin to Christchurch today to catch a plane home to Oz at 0600 in the morning. Found 23 caches to day for a Grand total of 204 for our 16 day caching adventure on the South Island.
Arrived close to this one and there were two games of cricket in progress. Found the car park close to GZ and followed the arrow on the GPSr and trying to keep out of the eye line of two children playing on top of the bank between the two fields spied the rocks first. Very dry underfoot today as I used the dry guly to walk towards GZ. Quick find. Log book ok but could do with a little attention after the Cachers from the Mega passed this way. TFTC.

Decided to go down to Dunedin to attended the first ever Mega in New Zealand and my first ever MEGA. Managed to work it out so that I was able to team up with -gonefishing-, fozzmiester and agcnz on an 9 day caching trip around the South Island, this was day 8 of the road trip. Today we were making our way form Timaru to Christchurch for the night and picking up a few caches on our way and it was another beautiful fine day.
After finding GC3KKFN - Transit of Venus 2012 (Canterbury), this was the next cache that I had on my list that I needed to find on our way towards Christchurch. As we neared GZ, we managed to find a safe parking spot in the parking area not too far from GZ and once we got out of the car it was an easy walk over to GZ, we soon managed to spot the hint object and we soon managed to go where the GPSr was pointing us and once there we had a closer look we soon realised that it was the cache.
Managed to retrieve the cache, signed and then replaced the cache back where we found it. Thanks glasseyes for placing this cache here and for bringing us to this spot, TFTC TNLNSL (5361). Another quick and easy find here today and a very interesting area for a cache.
Now it is time to continue to the next cache on our list as we made our way towards Christchurch for the evening.....

Found on the great post-Mega roadtrip with agcnz, fozzmiester and yeetrees. A great trip from Otago to Wellington, taking in many backroads and some fantastic scenery along to way to over 400 caches. Thanks to all the cache owners for the great caches we found on the way.
Thanks for the cache, glasseyes.

Quick stop on our return journey from the Mega. Had to do a process of elimination here and finally found it. SL. TFTC.
Coruze, Bushbaby321 and I were travelling back from the Mega and pulled in here to get this one along the way. Had to wait for a while till a bloke had finished playing with his dog. When he left in we went.

Stopped by today with Roostaman en route from Chrsitchurch to Timaru, and after a short search, the cache was found. The weather was holding out for us all throughout the trip, so we were fortunate enough to have a dry day while searching around this spot.

Find # 4270 and a total of 84 today with Marcus Vitruvius on the 2nd day of our NZ Mega trip,
on the way south from Christchurch to Timaru. I just loved this country and driving around it looking for caches.

Searched for several minutes, but it was a case of too many options and not enough time. Left it and moved on.
Found with bogonghazy on day 2 of our short assault of the SI, whilst here for NZ Mega. We cached from Christchurch to Oamaru today, and only a few short showers throughout the day, which didn't deter us from continuing on with a numbers run. TNLNSL. Many Thanks to the CO for placing this cache.
Day two of Sully1's and my New Zealand trip from Christchurch to Dunedin.
Today was only as far as Oamaru, and the weather, once it warmed up, was superb.
A couple of heavy showers throught the day made it feel like home in Victoria.
Thanks glasseyes

Found in the company of the Walenators as we start to make our way south to Dunedin having spent the night in Christchurch. TFTC
Cache was found by Mrs Earthbound without the aid of a GPS and we even climbed the hill and ran down the other side. So nice to see the snow capped mountains in the distance. TFTC
Found at 4:17:00 PM. We decided to do a few caches in the outer suburbs this afternoon, much more relaxing than fighting traffic in the city.
Thanks glasseyes
Thanks glasseyes
Easily found on the second attempt, gps has issues so no better than 16m accuracy makes these difficult,TFTC
Nice quiet area today. Cache found with no issues, signed log book and replaced. TFTC.
Was here for sons football game, their team was out played unfortunately. At least I was able to grab this cache after the crowds left. Looks like nice facilities and well used, plenty of plantings around. Will be nice to come back once the trees have had a chance to mature. Thanks for the cache.
Out and about in the late afternoons sunshine. Wow what a great park and reserve. Had the place to myself & quickly cornered the cache. Thanks.
Easy find - nobody in sight, despite being Easter Sunday. Thanks and cheers from Grandalf(2102)

Found after 10 or so minutes scrounging around in the grasses. "Capperfamily" let me know there was some trackables here, so came to get at least one before they're snapped up. Haven't found any trackables for months, so keen to grab one. Picked up "Hover The Hummingbird" to take flying.
I didn't have the clue with me causing a longer than anticipated time to find this. Thanks.
Lovely park - good hide - thanks! Took "Shaun" and will put him back on track soon
Not many people around so didn't take long to locate the cache.
Dropped off Shaun the travelling Sheep.

Found it this time. Last time there were muggles hanging around the place it was. Was a good hide (: Made friends with some magpies
