After contacting the owner and confirming that we did have the right location and we had indeed searched the exact spot very thoroughly and the cache is very definately MIA we are claiming this as a find. Hope cache is replaced soon
Looks like the cache had definitely been muggled so temporarily out of action.
worked out the second GZ a few months ago but didnt have time to go search for it so today was the day. Cldnt remember the co ordinates so we searched several places it might b with no luck. We then went back to GZ 1 and got the coords again convinced we were in the right place but cache was gone. We returned to the 2nd GZ and confirmed we were in the right place and we had checked the obvious and the not so obvious so we are now convinced cache is not here to be found but will contact owners to make sure and post there response.
Really good. We thought that we had found it in an obvious spot but after much looking we couldn't find it. Looked at logs then found it though.
Didn't happen for me today. No problems with stage one ....Off to calculated GZ.... Looked in obvious spot.....moved pebbles scratched around..... Nothing. Checked hint... My GZ was in total agreement with the hint...But no joy.... Could it be gone already??? Thanks anyway. Mrs Temingi loved Green Gables .
We made the trip to Turner's Beach just to check out the great food at the lovely La Mar Cafe on the Esplanade and thought we could also grab a few caches which are within walking distance of the cafe. Some before lunch to work up an appetite and some afterwards to work the food off! Unfortunately 2 of the caches and a public toilet (men's side only) have been sabotaged by probably the same low-life who has a toileting issue. As we didn't have gloves and disinfectant we didn't actually open the containers and feel sorry for the cache owners who may find it easier to simply bin their caches and replace them - probably in another nearby location as the low-life will probably return. Saying that, the cache hides were not obvious and we doubt if they were accidentally found so we guess the owners will have to wait and see what happens.
Fortunately, this cache was in good nick. There is another 'obvious cache hide' a few metres away which had us excited at first. After no luck we were worried about yet another sabotaged cache but while we talked the GPS got down to 1m accuracy and then we knew where to look. The fact that you had to solve an easy puzzle and then walk a bit further may well have put off the low-life mentioned above. We simply signed and replaced the log. It's a nice little park but the walk around to the cache was a bit soggy in places - not a bother if you're in proper walking shoes but we weren't that well prepared.

Found with Jessejames.
Got eaten alive by mossies and by chance found the cache under some dumped greenwaste.

Found, was a few metres off coordinates under some green waste. Replaced at original coordinates. Took geo coin, will move to another cache soon.
No luck. This was our second hunt with no luck not sure if its even still there since the last post was in April
Nice area - and still well hidden even though there is a pil eof construction (bridge) going on nearby! Good hide TFTC - took the bracelet and a marble - left a Geocoin and a soldier!
We tried the direct route too, but were forced to retrace our steps and go the longer way around! An enjoyable multi. TFTC.
A bit tricky as the cache is not where it was originally placed, according to the hint. The new hide is only a couple of meters away. This trip to Tasmania going anticlockwise from Devonport is our third trip and the first in our motorhome. This is another cache, there will be many more, hopefully.

After a leisurely lunch at La Mar, Forthferalz and I wandered around to find this cache. After working out and putting in the coordinates we found that we could walk straight to GZ, so we did. Then there was a bit of searching as the obvious spot for the cache according to the hint was empty. A bit of a stop and look more carefully soon found where it was hidden.
Thanks foodfighters for a pleasant stroll on a spring afternoon.

Hi foodfighters
Anne and I have finished our three day tour of the West Coast; having stayed at Queenstown, Zeehan and Burnie for two nights, today it was head for the South and home. We also enjoyed visiting the towns of Strahan, Rosebery, Tullah, Waratah and Savage River. Both of us have really enjoyed our sojourn and it is a shame that all good things come to an end. The memories of this trip will be treasured.
This cache was the eighth on the agenda for today.
I drove from robtas' "Ulverstone Travel Bug Exchange" to WP1 of this cache. The walk from where I parked to ground zero was quick and most enjoyable. The information needed to find the co-ordinates for WP2 was gleaned from the plaques and calculations made. Walked around the point only to realise I needed the car to get to the cache. Took the road that passed the strawberry farm but did not stop to make a purchase. Arrived at an appropriate parking spot and made the walk to ground zero. The fun then started. Couldn't find the cache so resorted to the hint. I examined all the dead ones but without success. My thought - the cache has gone! Checked previous logs and it had been found only a day or two ago so it couldn't be gone. Time to use some life lines and get some advice; thanks for the help! After another search of the area, the cache was finally found. The cache was extracted, the log signed and the container replaced as found at 1155hrs. This was an extremely good hide. Congratulations on a well constructed multi. Now off to the next cache find as we head south.
Found five caches in total for day one. Day two, eleven caches found. The third day coffed up nine cache finds and two "Did Not Finds" but I think those two caches maybe missing in action. Day four resulted in sixteen cache finds and today, the final one of the trip, resulted in 12 finds. Total for the trip was 53 cache finds. Happy with that!!
Have had a better time watching Anne's face as she got a better look at the West Coast. She's loved Nelsons Falls, Strahan, the Museum at Zeehan, the falls at Waratah and her visit to Wynyard plus the gear she purchased during retail therapy.
Thanks for the cache and the fun of the find
Cheers OldSaint.

Finally, after 4 or 5 trips I finally found it. Thanks for the eagle eyes Shelby.martin! Ad TFTC! Great area
Yep, I'd been well and truly fooled last time, also it had been such a hot day and it just felt snakey, so wasn't really in the mindset for rummaging around in the brush. This time it was a different kettle of fish, I looked a bit further around and soon found the cache! Too late in the day for the cafe - still wanting to get there sometime. Thanks foodfighters, I enjoyed the history of, and seeing the Gables.
Enjoyed the multi and we too thought we had found an empty GZ that matched the hint but searched on and came up with the cache. TFTC.
Thoroughly enjoyed finding your first hide foodfighters. "The Gables" is a beautiful building.......certainly looking in much better condition than it's age would suggest. Enjoyed the walk to the cache once we had the new co-ords in hand. TFTC [^]
Enjoyed seeing the Gables and the history. Walked to GZ and saw a very obvious looking hideyhole, there were scattered stones coming out of it but no cache. I didn't look at the hint as it seemed so clearly to be a cache hide, and I can't remember now if it did actually match the hint. Hmmmm....I'm not sure if it may need checking or if I was fooled by a decoy hide!
Dang, just read all the old logs and looks like I need to head back. A few hundred kms away now, but I'll be heading past again soon enough. I was well and truly fooled I think. Didn't even look much further afield, or at the clue... thanks foodfighters anyway. Maybe next time I'll pop into the nearby cafe that I've heard good things about!
Walked past the Gables interesting building, and the front still looks pretty original. TFTC.
(etrexer) i can remember stopping for a look at this cairn when it was located next to the old highway just west of the bridge .I have often wondered where it was relocated when the new highway was put through. Thanks foodfighters for bringing a little bit of the past back to me .Top spot for a cache too.cheers etrexer
Managed to decode this one before we got there but not having read the description properly we thought we had it wrong as we stood on the banks looking out at the water.
So after finding Wp1 and doing it properly and finding we did in fact have it right we figured we should read the details. After that it was a pleasant walk and a nice easy find, although the suspect decoy was interesting.

On a beautiful sunny day we cached in this very attractive area and this was one of the caches we targetted and found. With thanks to foodfighters for placing this cache.
Enjoyed a wander in the reserve - Gryff especially enjoyed a chance to jump out of the car and rush around with his nose to the ground! We located the info about Mr Fenton and then headed off to GZ to find the cache. TFTC
Worked the co-ords out to this one a couple weeks ago but was a bit late in the day to go and find the cache site. found today while on the way to Launceston.Tftc

We came to this cache previously and worked out the location, but the most likely hiding place looked like it had had a cache, but it was gone. After contact from the owner we discovered it was not in this hidding place, but was suggested to look close by.
Anyway we returned and found nothing in the original hiding place and nothing to make sense around. We then searched nearby, and some quite distant trees with no luck.
Finally we came back to the original place and I spied a possiblity and there it was. Geo Kid E did the honours of retrieving and I signed the log on the little demon and replaced the cache.
Thank you for the cache and the very cool hiding place. It fooled me

Geo Kid E wanted a day off as he had not had a sick day this year and thought it was unfair that his brothers and sisters had each had at least one day off sick. So for the last day of school for the term we decided to have a caching trip to Ulverstone, via Sheffield.
Thank you for the cache and for being part of our day out.
Found the monument fairly easy after a short walk and solved the coordinates. Then we went off to ground zero. Found a tree that fitted the description, and there was a nice collection of stones that looked like a perfect hiding place, but there was no cache at ground zero. Thank you for the cache, I will return after another person finds the cache.

Searched on my own in the pouring rain 4 days ago but couldnt find it.
Took the wife today and she had it within 3 mins.
Many thanks.

Nice spot not visited before found WP1 easily then wandered off to find WP2 not realising the lay of the land and that we needed to drive there. Nice multi Left SG's B C. Flag Super Challenger TB TFTC
Searched for this one earleir in the year with no luck, and thought it must have been muggled.
Returned today and it was quickly found. Geo-bloke was still looking in the places he searched last time, but geo-wife with new eyes found it quickly.
It's amazing how difficult it can be to change your thinking once you have an idea of where it might be in your head.

We solved the puzzle & decided to walk through the park to GZ. Alas, we met a river. As we don't know the area we put the co-ords into the TomTom and were able to find the cache after a bit of a drive. Took a ball & left a soldier. TFTC
This one was a saga. Popped up on the GPS after locating Fenton's Mouth, but had no details. Decided to look anyway, and after searching round Waypoint 1, started to think something was amiss and it could be a multi. Returned to the car and consulted the trusty laptop and yest it was. Returned and obtained the information to locat GZ. Got that easily, but then acess to GZ proved a little challenging as we are not familiar with the area.
Sorted that out and made our way to GZ.
There were a number of possibilities that fir the clue, so even though we searched them all, could not locate it.
One appeared like it certainly had been a hide, but nothing there.
This may have been muggled!

Had looked at the wrong 'dead one' the other day so I had to come back and find the right one.
A pleasant stroll through the bush after admiring "The Gables". I didn't know that the cairn was there or the little inlet....but I did know about the berry farm. The cache was found and the contents were admired, commendably stocked...though I did not make any swaps. I will have to return here with the Eyrettes and canoes, ths would be a fun cache to find on a canoeing expedition.
Thanks foodfighters for a fun diversion after work.

What better way to spend the day than attempting a new multi that appeared while we were over on the big island caching.

Had info before arriving at GZ but initial search all in the wrong spots. Finally nabbed where Gpsr was indicating....good hide. Hope passing fisher muggles don't nab. TFTC foodfighters...Cheers.
What a great place. We were amazed at just how big the back water is. The tide was high when we were there. Thanks for placing a cache there for our fun. TNLNSL. Thanks again foodies for the fun you gave us.
Once the information in the description had been updated, we were able to make a quick find. Very pleasant on the Forth River this afternoon. TFTC
I could not locate but Mrs Neribil soon found the goods. Nice by the river. TNLN thanks
After two failed attempts I took my wife who found it quickly. Doh!
Left two TB's and a FTF as well. Where are the usual FTFinders?
Thanks guys

Thanks guys
There is a problem with the final co-ords, too many numbers in the S41 lot.
I tried several variations of the numbers but no luck. Pity missed a FTF.
Owners need to amend please.

Original GZ gets us within 5m but after Robtas note and much triangulation amended the clues today to modify GZ by S 0.002' and E 0.001' to get even closer. Hope that helps.
I must be having one of those days. despite two attemts the last with the help of the owner I still cant find it. Will not give up though
