The compass was off but found it

Stayed the night in Boyup Brook on our Geo-adventure and this one was not far away...as the crow flies. Took a bit of backtracking to finally get onto the right track from the caravan park but we did find a short cut on the way back!On the track to GZ saz heard a rustle to the left of her and jumped a mile and nearly peed her pants when she saw a 2 metre Dugite curled up just off the track. Before she had a chance to compose herself and pull out her camera it quickly disappeared down a rabbit hole ( and when we say quickly.....never seen a snake move that fast!) We left ourselves a stick showing where the hole was so we wouldn't be startled on the way back and continued on our crazy journey. From here we saw 2 rabbits, 1 fox and 1 kangaroo... not as exciting/exhilarating as the snake but always love seeing wildlife! Thankfully it was a quick find at GZ, container does have a hole though. As everyone else has said, the hint makes no sense but it was an easy find.Thank you w00dee for placing and maintaining Ghost trains and skeleton Bridges for us and others to find and enjoy.

This one was pretty hard but we found it after circling it a couple hundred of times. We even found a frog next to the bridge. TFTC!

This was quite a trek, but it was a lovely sunny morning, and we needed the exercise. We started in town, and found the rail trail, which ended up going very close to the caravan park where we were camped. At GZ the cache was found after a short search. The cache is is excellent condition, but the hint is no help at all in finding it.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for us to find. We walked this one from the old rail station along the old rail track. We probably could have taken a short cut as previous finders have but the gates are locked now behind the caravan park and pistol club. Nice unseasonably warm May day to do the walk so it was a pleasant stroll. favourite point added

A great trek out here on the scooters.
A great surprise to see the old railway bridge still standing .
This is what we enjoy about Geocaching, were it takes us and what we find at gz - awesome historical sites like this!
Thanks for sharing this interesting historical location Smile

A lovely walking trail out to the well preserved curved railway bridge. Cruiser 2 eventually found it. Sadly only muggles appeared to have found it & scrawled lots of messages. TFTC

Easy find. The hard part was finding how to get to the trail. We parked next to the pistol club gate and found it from there. It's a lovely cool day so we had a nice walk. A really nice old bridge. Giving a favourite because this is what geocaching should be. Tftc

Admire the workmanship gone into building these old timber bridges. The cache was a easy find and noticed that the last finder who had signed the logbook was a muggle.

We are staying at the caravan park and decided to take a walk out to see the bridge.m It was not quite the walk we expected. We imagined a shady walk along the river but there wasn't much shade at all and it turned out to be quite a warm walk. It was a bit more pleasant at the bridge and while my wife took some photos I searched for the cache. I hate ones in places like this. So many places to hide them but eventually found it and signed the log. Just over a year since it was last found.

I am heading down to Albany to attend the WA Caching Turns Fifteen Bash, so I headed off early on Friday morning to make the most of a caching day.

I took the long, winding road and found myself in the area.

I've been looking at this one for a while now waiting for a chance to get out here and grab it. Today was the day. Parked up near the pistol club and walked in. Wasted a bit of time at the bridge by looking on the structure. My coordinates were quite a distance from the bridge, and the misleading hint had me searching away from where I should have been. Found a little Shingleback Lizard at the gazebo, and then returned to where my coords lead and there it was. A nice stroll in a beautiful part of Boyup Brook.

TFTC.

This cache has been on our radar for aery long time. Heading through town to Katanning with iluvtrekking, so opportune time to attempt this cache. Parked at the caravan park and headed off down track at the back of the rifle range - delivered us directly to gz. Thanks w00dee

Came the long way from the caravan park but think we spotted a short cut on the way here. Glad we found a track in vaguely the right direction - wouldn't want to go in a direct line!

No problem with muggles here! There is a picnic shelter at GZ but don't think it gets much use.

Left 500 Rupiah coin and took an eraser.

Our 50th find....what a great spot. We stayed for ages here enjoying the place. Only a few finds on this one....we are part of a select group. We just parked at the caravan park and walked. Even the little geo-kids loved it....Def a fav!
